If there was one thing that Natalie didn't get enough of, it was time alone. Being out on the road, meant constantly being around Sam and Dean and having their eyes watch her like a hawk. Not that she had a problem with being around them, but before she met Sam and Dean, Natalie was someone who always found comfort in her solitude. Whether it was taking a walk alone or just sitting up in her room reading a book. She enjoyed her privacy. Ever since she started going on hunts, her life had been turned upside-down by the amount of chaos that had erupted around her. Getting so caught up in everything, she never even thought about the last time she had been able to relax, truly relax. That's exactly what she was doing now.

Dean, Sam and Natalie, after recovering from their initial shock, had brought Dylan's body back to the town. Though the minute they arrived, Natalie decided to walk back to the motel. Sam and Dean had offered to go with her, but she turned them down. After the days events, she wanted to be alone, just for a little bit.

Natalie was laid out on her bed quietly reading 'The Hobbit' which Marina had encouraged her to read, but she was finding it difficult to keep herself focused on the story. All she could think about was Dylan; his screams, how she desperately tried to pull him out and the deep gash on his neck. Natalie set the book down on her chest and pressed her hands against her face.

Natalie could feel herself dwelling deeper into that guilt pool she has so often visited, too often. Experiencing death so much, in a way, made her more vulnerable to that guilt ridden mindset. Always thinking that there was something she could have done, blaming herself for not being able to help. Deep down, Natalie knew that it was pointless to think that, but it was something that she couldn't change. For a few years, she had grown accustomed to being the target for blame; mostly from her mother. Since then, Natalie has forgiven what her mother did, but that doesn't change the emotional damage done to her.

Even having the stable reassurance from her family and from Sam and Dean, Natalie can never shake away the feeling of being the central point to blame when something happened. No matter how much she tried to shed that kind of thinking, she would willingly give into the feeling without a second of hesitation.

Natalie sighed, pulling her hands away from her face, and picked up the book, fully intent on getting her attention on something else. And it actually seemed to be working. Natalie found herself deeply immersed in the book, all guilt laced thoughts slowly melted away. The door to the motel room opened and Natalie briefly glanced over at the door before focusing her attention back towards the page she was on.

Sam poked his head in, his eyes catching Natalie reading on the bed. As he walked in, he smiled at the choice of book she was reading. "The Hobbit?"

Natalie gave Sam a light side-glance and smirked. "Mari is a real avid reader and she thought that I would like it. It's not that bad actually." Natalie finished, her voice made her sound like she was genuinely surprised that she was enjoying this book.

"So, uh, are you okay?" Sam asked as he walked over to the side of her bed. "You were pretty upset when you left."

Natalie sighed, finishing up the page she was on, before shutting the book and sat up on the bed. She remained silent for only a few seconds. "I don't know Sam. Really, I don't know how I feel anymore. Everything is just..." Natalie sighed, shaking her head in defeat. "Did you see his parents?"

Sam let out a sigh as he sat down on the edge of the bed, his head hanging in guilt. "Yeah. They didn't handle it to well. Well, what else would you expect. They just lost their son."

"Yeah..."

The two sat in a deafening silence. Both of them felt that they didn't need to have a heart to heart discussion about how they felt about this. Natalie looked over at Sam, her eyes studying his expression carefully. His eyes, of course, were the features that gave away exactly what he was feeling. A mix of guilt and sadness, for the loss of yet someone else that was essentially under their watch. All of that, Natalie read from his eyes.

Sam could feel her gaze on him and he looked up, seeing her staring at him, her eyes had narrowed only slightly in her own concentration on him. For some reason, having her stare at him, was making his body grow heavy and his heart began to pound against his chest. It was exactly what he was feeling that day in the hospital, when Dean gave him that little lecture about the, what was it, 'tug-o-war of his emotions'. It only took the whole situation with Famine and his 'craving' for him to start coming to his senses. After going through it about a dozen times, Sam came to the conclusion that the only other thing he wanted aside from demon blood that day was...Natalie.

Now, there was no way he was able to deny what Dean had told him not to long ago. That once he was sure how he felt, he shouldn't keep it a secret. As of right this moment, Sam was only beginning to scratch the surface about his feelings for Natalie. Yes, he finally admitted it, to himself at least, that he did harbor feelings for Natalie. It was an affectionate, warm attraction that went past the boundaries of an ordinary friendship. But, even now as he thought about it, he knew that there was a little bit more he needed to sort through before settling on his final conclusion.

Sam felt himself reemerge from his mental trance, seeing that Natalie's expression had now turned from an intense concentration to confusion, most likely due the fact that he seemed to be 'out of it'. Sam cleared his throat, breaking his gaze from her. "Uh...so, how's your back doing?" Sam said, trying his best to rid of the awkwardness and to forward them into a different conversation.

"It's fine. Sore. But, it's good." Natalie answered, setting the book down next to her on the bed. Natalie looked over at Sam, seeing that his shoulders had slumped in their posture. Swinging her legs over the side, she scooted closer to Sam until she was next to him. Looking over at him, she gave him a small nudge and smiled once he looked at her. "Are you alright, though?"

"You are always concerned about us, Nad." Sam stated blatantly, though she could sense the lightness in his tone.

Natalie gave him a look. "You know that I am always worried about you and Dean. Just like how you two are always looking after me. I hate seeing you two so low. Though I don't get why I'm saying anything. There have been multiple times that I have snapped. You and Dean seem to know how to control it better than I do."

"That's not always a good thing. There's nothing wrong with showing how you feel. I mean you weren't always like that, were you?"

"No, not really. I mean growing up, I never had a reason to put up a fuss or be sad about anything, aside from my dad's absence. My parents were pretty lenient with us. Plus, when my father was away, my mom would always keep us busy. Whether it was taking us into town, or..."

"...driving your Uncle's boat around the bay." Sam finished, his voice diminishing into a laugh towards the end.

Natalie smiled and shook her head. "I can't believe I told you that."

"Well, I'm glad you did. How was your driving, anyway?"

"It wasn't that bad." Natalie exaggerated, earning a doubtful laugh from Sam. She looked at him, her mouth opening into a big smile, "Stop laughing at me. Seriously, I wasn't that bad at it."

"Uh-huh. And what does 'I wasn't that bad' translate to." Sam asked, giving Natalie an expecting look.

Natalie laughed nervously, knowing that Sam had her caught right then and there. "Well, there was this one time, we were touring a little farther from the bay than usual. My uncle's friend was also out there on his boat. And I pretty much stole the wheel from my uncle and I nearly...crashed it into his friend's boat."

Sam's laugh echoed through the room, startling Natalie, but the look of amusement on his face, made something in her go all warm. "You nearly crashed into another boat."

"I almost did." Natalie defended, emphasizing on the word 'almost'. "But, I guess you could say that I was never allowed to drive the boat again."

Sam shook his head in amusement. "I don't blame them."

Natalie gave Sam a light hit against his arm. "I was like only seven, and my uncle was supposed to be watching me and he didn't do a good job at that. So, basically, it was partially his fault."

"Whatever you say, Nad. All I know is that I would have paid to see that." Natalie tried to hold back her laugh as she leaned her forehead against Sam's shoulder, trying to hide her embarrassment from telling this story.

The door opened once again and Dean walked in, but paused, seeing the little scene before him and he smirked. "Am I interrupting something?"

Natalie leaned away from Sam, her smile still evident on her face, as she shook her head. "Nope. Everything is good."

"You sure?" Dean began to press again. "Because it sure seemed like you two were...having some sort of good time."

"No, Dean. Nothing was going on. We were just...talking." Natalie stood up from the bed and walked over to her bag, pulling out a set of clothes and turned back to the boys. "I'm gonna take a shower, because I feel like you two are going to talk about something so...carry on." Natalie replied with a cheerful tone before disappearing into the bathroom.

Natalie slid her shirt on and buttoned her jeans. Taking her comb she began to brush through her hair, having it get stuck occasionally from the knots. After brushing her hair, Natalie picked up her shirt and carefully slid her arms through the sleeves and pulled it down the rest of the way. Leaning her head against the door, she could hear Sam talking, but she heard no other voice. Grabbing the handle, she slowly opened the door, spotting him on the phone, then stepped out of the bathroom.

"Just get here as soon as you can, Cas." Sam said before hanging up the phone.

"You calling Cas?" Natalie asked as she put away her clothes back in her bag.

"Yeah, thought he could help us out." Sam answered, sitting down on the bed Natalie was standing next to.

"Did you and Dean have another...argument?"

"I wouldn't exactly call it an actual argument. Just a...disagreement, I guess you could say." Sam dragged a hand down his face.

Natalie sighed and placed her hand on Sam's shoulder, giving him a few reassuring squeezes. Sam gently took a hold of her hand, causing Natalie to smile at the touch.

"I got your message." Natalie turned around quickly at the sound of a voice and saw Castiel opening up the motel fridge. "It was long, your message. And I find the sound of your voice grating." Castiel said, his voice was slow and slurred a few times.

Sam stood up and Natalie looked up at him, her brows furrowing at Castiel's behavior. "What's wrong with you?" Sam asked.

Natalie looked back over at Castiel. "Are you drunk, Cas?"

"No!" Castiel called out, turning his full attention to them. "...yes."

"What the hell happened to you?" Sam questioned.

"I found a liquor store."

"And?" Both Natalie and Sam asked.

"And I drank it." Castiel shuffled his way over to them. "Why'd you call me?" Castiel's balance soon wavered and he fell against Natalie, who quickly braced him by grabbing onto his arms.

"Hey, take it easy, Cas." Sam said, taking a hold of one of Castiel's arms so Natalie wasn't holding the entire brunt of him. "Are you okay?"

Castiel looked over at Sam, his eyes narrowing slightly, as he leaned closer to Sam. "Don't ask stupid questions." Sam gave Castiel a look. Natalie pursed her lips together, trying to hide her laughing. "Tell me what you need."

"Okay, Cas. Here." Natalie nodded to Sam as they gently sat him down on the bed.

"Okay, so there have been these—demon attacks." Sam began, though he made sure that Castiel was coherent, before continuing. "Massive ones, right on the edge of town. And we can't figure out what they're—'

"Any sign of angels?" Castiel interrupted.

"Sort of." Sam glanced over at Natalie, "They've been speaking to this prophet."

Castiel looked up at Sam, his eyes emanating curiosity. "Who?"

"Her name is Leah Gideon." Natalie spoke up, having to think of her name for only a second.

Castiel began to slowly shake his head. "She's not a prophet."

Sam and Natalie looked at Castiel with alarm. "I'm pretty sure she is." Sam began. "I mean visions, headaches—the whole package."

"The names of all the prophets, they're seared into my brain. Leah Gideon is not one of them."

"So, what, is she a fake?" Natalie began to question. "And if so, then how does she know everything—the enochian exorcism, demons, hell she even knew us."

"I am not sure. But, she is not a prophet." Castiel looked back up at them. "We need to find out what she is...and fast."

Natalie shut the book and slid it towards the end of the table upon finishing her reading. The door opened and Natalie looked over to see Dean walk in, but he was covered in blood. "What the hell happened to you?" She asked, a little horrified at the sight.

Dean looked down at his jacket and waved away Natalie's concern. "Yeah, it's, uh, not my blood. Paul's dead."

Sam walked out of the bathroom, hearing Dean's words. "What?!"

"Yeah, Jane shot him." Dean explained.

"It's starting." Castiel added.

"What's starting?" Dean asked, pointing over at Castiel. "And where the hell have you been?"

"On a bender." Castiel stated, though he still sounded a little out of it.

"Wait a minute..." Dean began, looking over at Sam and Natalie. "Did he just say, 'on a bender'?"

"Yeah. He's still pretty smashed." Sam answered.

"It is not of import." Castiel lightly defended. "We need to talk about what's happening here."

"Well." Dean took a chair from the table and sat down in it. "I'm all ears."

"Well, for starters...Leah is not a real prophet." Sam offered.

"Well, what is she, exactly?" Dean asked.

"The whore." Castiel stated.

Dean gave Castiel a surprised look and shrugged his shoulders. "Wow. Cas, tell us what you really think why don't you."

"She rises when Lucifer walks the ear. "And she shall come, bearing false prophecy." This creature has the power to take a human's form, read minds. Book of Revelation calls her "The Whore of Babylon."

"Well, isn't that catchy." Dean sarcastically added.

"Which means, that the real Leah, was most likely killed a months ago." Natalie added.

"What about the demons attacking the town?" Dean asked.

"They're under her control." Castiel answered.

"And the Enochian exorcism?"

"Fake." Dean's brows raised in surprise. "It actually means, um, 'you breed with the mouth of a goat.'"

The three hunters stare at the angel, though Natalie found the phrase a little amusing. "It's funnier in Enochian." Castiel quietly added.

"So the demons smoking out, that was all a con? Why? What's the endgame?" Dean asked.

"What you just saw—innocent blood spilled in God's name." Castiel said.

"You heard all that heaven talk. She manipulates people." Sam finally added.

"Her main goal is to condemn as many souls to hell as possible. And it's...just the beginning. She's well on her way to dragging this whole town into the pit."

"Okay, so then how to we go Pimp of Babylon all over this bitch?" Dean asked.

Castiel stood up from the couch and walked over to the table, pulling out a stake and setting it down. "The whore can be killed with that. It's a stake made from a cypress tree in Babylon."

"Great. Let's go out and ventilate her."

"It's not that easy." Castiel was quick to add.

"Oh, of course it's not. It's never easy." Dean said.

"The whore can only be killed by a true Servant of Heaven."

Dean shrugged and nodded. "Okay. Servant like..."

"Not you. Or me. Sam, of course, is an abomination." Natalie gave Castiel a look, but he never saw it.

"What about Nad?" Dean suddenly asked.

Natalie looked up in surprise. "Whoah, wait, what?"

Castiel looked over at her, almost as if he was evaluation her. "I am not sure if she is a candidate."

Natalie sighed in relief. "Good, because, don't think I'm up for ganking the Whore of Babylon."

"Why not?" Dean asked. "I mean I'm sure Nad hasn't done anything compared to what Sam and I have done."

"Okay, how about this?" Sam spoke up. "Let's try and find someone else and if we can't then...Nad will have to do it."

Sam, Dean and Castiel looked over at Natalie, making her realize she wasn't going to be able to back out of this. Natalie sighed, "I guess."

"Alright, so who else would be a good candidate for ganking this bitch?" Dean asked.

Natalie's head perked up as she came up with someone else. "Pastor Gideon. He should be perfect for this."

Dean considered this and looked over at Castiel. "What do you think, Cas?"

"It is possible. Wait here. I shall attempt to find him." Castiel then vanished from the room.

Natalie let out a breath, "You really think that I'm capable of killing her. I just don't think I'm the right choice."

"You are a better choice than Sam and myself." Dean said, picking up the stick and examining it quickly, before setting it back down. "But, don't start getting antsy just yet. You're not going to kill her unless we have no other resort. I'm pretty sure the Pastor will be able to do this."

"What the hell was that?" The three hunters turn to see Pastor Gideon standing in the room, confusion written all over his face as he looked over at Castiel.

"Yeah, he wasn't lying about the angel thing." Dean said. "Sit down, Padre. We got to have a chat." Pastor Gideon gave them a hesitant gaze, before, reluctantly taking a seat.

Dean walked over and sat down in front of him. "Now, this may sound a little...crazy, but you just need to bear with us, alright?" Pastor Gideon gave Dean a small nod. "Okay. Leah...is not what you think she is."

"What do you mean?"

"She is not a prophet. She's a creature that is spoken about in the Book of Revelations. She's been feeding all of you false prophecies, and she needs to be stopped." Dean finished, his eyes motioning over towards the stake.

Pastor Gideon looked at the stake and shook his head in disbelief. "No. She's my daughter."

"I'm sorry, but she's not. She's the thing that killed your daughter."

"No, that's impossible."

"But, it's true. And deep down, you know it." Sam walked over to the table and sat down across from the Pastor. "Look, we get it—it's to much. But if you don't do this, she's going to kill a lot of people. And damn the rest to hell."

Dean picks up the take and holds it out to him. "It's just...why does it have to be me?" Pastor Gideon questioned.

"Because you're a Servant of Heaven." Castiel replied.

"And you're an angel." Pastor Gideon fought back.

"I'm a poor example of one." Castiel answered.

Pastor Gideon sunk back against his chair. Natalie stared at the man, feeling pity towards him. He just heard from them that his daughter was not actually his daughter but some creature. It's not something you really expect to hear.

"Are you with us, Padre?" Dean asked after a small moment of silence.

Pastor Gideon took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, he couldn't believe that he was about to agree to this. "Okay."

The top level of the church was completely empty, telling the four of them that everyone must be downstairs. They just needed to find Leah. Castiel turned to the others, "I think I know where she is."

"Where?" Dean asked quietly.

Castiel turned to Pastor Gideon, "Follow me."

They both walked off away from the group. Sam, Dean and Natalie decided to stay behind, only for a moment, before following the same path they took, but took a different way.

Dean opened a door that led to a small room, which might have been used as an office, but soon voices came from the other side of one of the door. Dean quickly opened the door and the three of them rushed in, spotting Castiel holding Leah, while Gideon hesitate with the stake.

"Gideon, do it!" Sam called out.

Leah quickly uttered something in enochian and Castiel loosened his hold on her, crumbling to the floor in pain. Her hand raised against Gideon, pushing his away towards the wall. Leah then raises a hand towards Sam, Dean and Natalie, pushing them against the wall behind them, before fleeing.

Gideon quickly recovered, picked up the stake, and went after her. Sam and Dean stood up and ran after Gideon, while Natalie quickly made her way over to Castiel.

Natalie kelt down next to him, his body had recoiled and he was twitching, almost as if he was having a seizure of some sort. Natalie tried to move him onto his back, but his shaking was to violent. "Cas! Hey!" She pressed her hand against his cheek, tilting his head to the side so he was facing her. "What did she do to you?"

From downstairs, Natalie could hear a huge commotion ensuing and a part of her wanted to sprint down there, but Castiel's condition was forbidding her. She turned her attention back towards him. "What do I do Cas? What do I do?!"

Castiel opened his mouth, trying his best to speak, but only pained cries would come out. Natalie used her hold on his one shoulder and gently pushed him up into a sitting position, then pressed her other hand against his other shoulder and moved to sit behind him, so he could use her as something to lean against.

"Okay, Cas? Hey. We need to get you out of here, alright? Can you stand up?" Natalie received no actual response from him, aside from a few pained groans, but she took this as a cue for her to continue.

Natalie moved up on her knees, then knelt up on her feet until she was crouching behind him, while pushing Castiel farther up she then slid her arms under his arms and slowly tried to pull him up to his feet. But, the first few times were unsuccessful. After all, Castiel was much bigger than she was.

"Come on, Cas. I know you are in pain, but, I'm gonna need your help." This time Castiel gave Natalie a guttural 'okay', that trembled due to his shaking, even though the shaking had diminished, but only slightly.

"Okay, then." Natalie repositioned herself behind him and began to rebuild her strength. "On three, Cas. One. Two. Three." Natalie began to pull up and Castiel flattened his feet against the ground and used the last bit of strength in his legs, to push himself up. Natalie was able to get Castiel standing, only half way up, though she felt that this was good enough.

Natalie quickly wrapped his right arm around her neck and she secured her left arm around his back, her hand resting on his left side. After adjusting her hold on him a few times, Natalie felt that she had a firm grip on him. "Okay. We did it, Cas. Let's see if you can walk. Small steps though."

Natalie decided to let Castiel to take the first step and that required a little bit of patience. Castiel tried his best to move one foot in front of him, but his shaking was overpowering what useful function he had left in his legs.

"It's okay, Cas. I've got you." Natalie assured him.

Castiel could feel a whole new round of pain hit him and his body leaned more against Natalie, causing her to readjust her stance, in order to support his weight. Castiel slowly recovered from the round and once again put his attention on trying to walk, so he and Natalie could get out of there. Castiel slowly took one step and then took another, with Natalie moving with him, helping to keep his balance. Castiel paused for a moment, hoping to try and control his shaking, before taking a few more steps.

"There you go, Cas. Let's just try and make it out of the room. Okay?"

The two of them slowly made their way towards the room, stopping on occasion when Castiel's shaking would get in the way. Upon reaching the door, Natalie reached out her right hand and grasped hold of the side paneling of the entryway, to offer herself a little bit more support in guiding Castiel out of the room. As they stood out in the hallway, Natalie looked to her left and turned them in that direction.

"I'm just gonna try and get you to the car, Cas. You can rest in there."

Natalie adjusted her hold on him, which gave Castiel the signal to start walking whenever he was ready. Castiel, once again, began the small journey by taking the same small steps he had before. Though this time, Natalie could feel that he was leaning against her more, which alerted her to the fact that he might have another pain wave coming. Sure, enough she was right.

Castiel stopped suddenly, feeling the shaking in his legs increasing and soon pain shot out in streams in his torso. Castiel cried out and Natalie began to panic as her hold on him began to slip. Natalie didn't want to risk losing her hold on him completely, therefore, she pushed them against the wall, bracing Castiel against it so he wouldn't fall. "It's okay, Cas." Natalie breathed out as she began to contemplate what she needed to do next.

She could already feel her own body growing tired, from being a leaning post for Castiel. Natalie's arm around his back tightened, pulling him closer to her to keep him in balance. Natalie soon heard footsteps coming up the stairs and for a moment she panicked. Thinking that it was Leah coming back for them. Sam appeared from the stairs and Natalie let out a relieved laugh.

"Sam! I could really used your help over here."

Sam quickly rushed over to them, "What are you doing, Nad?" Sam asked, taking a hold of Castiel's left arm and wrapping it around his neck.

"I was trying to Cas out of here and to the Impala."

"Yeah, well, I'm surprised you got him out here this far." Sam admitted as he and Natalie began to guide Castiel to the church's exit.

"Well, I'm actually surprised with myself. Didn't think I could actually carry someone like Cas." Natalie joked lightly. "Where's Dean?"

"He's behind us, with Gideon." Sam replied, keeping his attention on getting Castiel to the Impala.

"So, did Gideon kill her?" Natalie finally asked, having missed it.

"It wasn't Gideon. It was Dean."

Natalie stopped, causing Sam to do the same thing, and she looked over at him, her brows furrowed. Sam gave her a small nod, assuring her that it would be explained to her when they went back to the motel. Natalie and Sam then proceeded on. The faster they got back to the car, the quicker they will get to the motel.

Natalie picked up the painkillers and placed them back in the bag, before setting it down on the table.

"How's the head?" Dean asked, looking over to Pastor Gideon.

"I'm seeing double. But that may just be the painkillers."

"You'll be okay." Dean offered.

"No. I won't."

Natalie walked over to Gideon, with a warm rag, and sat down next to him. She raised the rag to his head and began to gently wipe at the blood that had dried near his temple.

"Where are you going?" Natalie looked over at Sam and Dean.

"I'm just going to get fresh bandages. Relax." Dean said, before walking out of the motel room.

Natalie went back to wiping away the blood, seeing Gideon wincing. "Sorry. I'm trying not to aggravate it more."

"No you're fine." Gideon assured her.

Natalie pulled the rag away and got up from the bed and walked over to the bag. She pulled out a small bandage and opened it. The sound of the Impala roaring soon caught her attention.

She quickly looked at Sam, seeing that he too had heard it. The two of them soon bolted towards the door and tripped out of the room, just in time to see Dean speeding away.

"Dean!" Sam called out. "Dammit."

Sam and Natalie watched as the Impala disappeared down the road. "So, Dean killed her, that means he is a Servant of God."

"Yeah. I just hope he doesn't do something stupid." Sam admitted.

"Like, what?" Natalie questioned.

"Like, maybe, saying yes to Michael."

Natalie looked up at Sam, seeing that he was actually thinking Dean might just do that. And in all honesty, it was a thought she was beginning to consider. Dean, wouldn't do that. Would he? Natalie turned her gaze back towards the road, her hand slowly moved towards Sam's, their hands locking in a tight hold. Both of them mentally preparing themselves for what was to come.

Okay, so we have Sam finally admitting, to himself, that he has feelings for Nad. So that's a step forward in their relationship. Don't worry Nad will come to her sense in the next chapter (hopefully). I plan on putting more scenes with Sam and Nad before the end of this story, so if you all have any ideas as to what you want to see go ahead and post them and I will try and put them in.

And yes I did put mention the hobbit in here because I am currently reading it and I love it!

Also, how did you all like the whole Nad taking care of Cas scene. I realized that Cas has done a few things to help Nad and I just wanted a scene where she kind of helps him.
