A/N: I'm Sorry...?
KHR inspiration is fleeting, sorry about that.
And guess who got her tablet back?
Anyways, this has many mistakes. I apologize beforehand for them all. This is just an information chapter that I feel could be better and definitely not one I'm proud of. Things will start up again next chapter. Mep.
Disclaimer: I do not own any character from KHR they all belong to their respective owners.
Xanxus threw the doors open to the main lobby, immediately silencing the room around him.
"Boss!" They all exclaimed, amazed to see the Varia leader out of custody from the Vongola, they had been certain Timoteo would have trapped the Varia leader under lock and key.
"They let you go?!" Squalo exclaimed in disbelief, the rage in his red eyes building. The Varia leader didn't answer, hands clenched in fists as he made a sound with his tongue.
"Gay fag, tend my wounds." Lusseria fanned himself, as if amazed such a request came from the Varia leader.
"He's a sexy one." The flamboyant male stated before approaching their leader who was shedding his upper shirt. The rest had started screaming and arguing, Leviathan trying to make the boss more comfortable as Xanxus sat down.
He ignored them all, red eyes distant as he remembered the small meeting with his... Father.
The doors closed, leaving Xanxus on his knees, seething in pure anger. He was defeated by a brat. Two brats. He wanted to kill them, crush them, strangle them. It wasn't-!
"It wasn't fair, was it?" The Vongola boss walked over, brown eyes heavy with sorrow that made Xanxus's heart clench.
"Having pinned those two on you, strongest Varia leader I know. Xanxus, there's something you need to understand. Vongola, can not be in your hands. Not because you're adopted-!"
"Shut up!"
Did Timoteo think he could walk all over him?! Just because he lost?!
Xanxus would not submit! Varia would not submit to such an idiotic leader! That boy, he wasn't fit! Vongola was a mafia, not-!
"Xanxus, do you remember Mary Ann?"
Mary...? Red eyes glistened as he focused on his father. Mary Ann... Of course he remembered... The girl blotched an entire mission because Xanxus screwed up.
"When you brought that girl home, I had wanted you to understand the fact that Mary Ann was an innocent, dragged into Vongola's affairs because Vongola had such twisted methods. Vongola Primo did not leave Italy because he was afraid of the second, he did it because the second had made things impossible in Vongola. No one knows the truth of these words, but you saw how fierce that child was for Vongola."
Fierce for Vongola? What did that have to do with anything? Wasn't it his father who owned the mafia family? His father who had always smiled in the face of danger, had the power to squash his enemies but instead welcomed them! Didn't he know this place was a twisted place! That if Vongola didn't get a fierce leader then the entire innocents he wanted to protect would die! It made them weak, this kindness!
"Xanxus, those kids defeated you. The future of Vongola is in them. Were they truly weak, showing you mercy?"
Ah... The blonde brat.. Had let him free when he had the choice to end his life.
"Yes. Vongola doesn't need that!"
"And that's why I can't let you be the leader of Vongola. You are a leader, but not of Vongola, you will protect Vongola from the side. It's because you're already leader of Varia you can never be Vongola's. Because you know exactly what needs to be done to help the Vongola from the side. You're support."
Isn't this why he hated the old man? Because the bastard could dress out his thoughts for all to see. His hands clenched, bitter feelings of resentment coiling inside him.
"No matter what you do after this, Xanxus. My son... I wish for you to stay by my side."
That kind smile that had made the problematic child he had been melt. Why was it always like this? When he tried to impress people who had been talking about him, prove them wrong, Timoteo had managed to shed that back and make him human.
"Bastard.. I hate you."
'No... No you don't, you idiot..'
He picked up the nearest solid object and tossed it to the shark. "Listen up! From this day forward, Varia is going to make sure those fools in Vongola don't fuck up! Am I clear?!"
Because a small part of him wanted to stay by the father figure of his life, so damn badly.
How... How the hell did it come to this?!
Ieyasu clung onto the door for dear life as his house was filled to the brim with the most dangerous people of the underworld.
His mom? Oh she was just giving them food, saying how wonderful it was to see Ieyasu with so many friends!
Something kicked him in the back, shoving him forward and ungracefully to the floor. That foot could only belong to one person.
"Idiot-Ieyasu, if you block my path for food, I'll make you suffer." The hitman growled, black eyes flashing dangerously as the blonde shivered. Caelum was right behind him, wearing a beanie with a black tank top, arms bandaged carefully. He had his phone, yet again, and texted away with a small wave to the blonde, before answering, "Reborn's passionate about Nana's food. It seems he's too attached."
Caelum was smacked over the head roughly as Ieyasu sweat dropped, the two beginning to bicker. It was stopped as a blonde was thrown into the room, making the two separate expertly to avoid Colonello who had pissed Lal off.
"What are you doing on the floor?! Get up!"
Ieyasu was on his feet automatically, barely realizing Lal had been speaking to Colonello. He gave a small sigh of relief.
It was only three days after the Varia battle incident, Ieyasu had through explaining to do, catching up. But he was saved, mainly because he had passed out shortly after the fight. His luck? He had been out for two days.
Today he'd have to explain, for some reason everyone took that as invade his household and suffocate him. To show this, not only was his usual company(Lambo, Bianchi, Takuto, Caelum, Reborn) but Lal and Colonello made it, His father, Dino and two of his subordinates, and the whole team of Vongola guardians and their siblings. The whole thing was just a disaster waiting to happen...
"Ieyasu."
His attention was brought back as he saw Caelum waving at him from the top of the stairs. He trailed after him, leaving the chaos of the first floor to join the brunet. Watching the thin frame in front of him, something uneasy settled in his stomach. Since the whole fight, he had his memories back, but something still blocked him off, like a thick wall. It was the memories of his life as a child, before Timoteo's seal of his own memories. A promise he had to keep, but he didn't know what that promise even was..
Entering his room, Caelum gave a small sigh, closing the door to silence the loud bickering from below, a few explosions shaking the tiny house. Ieyasu tossed himself on the bed, eyes shut tightly as he inhaled the flowery scent of the detergent his mother used for the bed sheets. He gave an 'ack!' When he was forced to move over by Caelum who had dropped himself onto the bed beside him, cellphone held in his left hand.
"I'm listening."
Ieyasu paused, the surprise showing on his face before sighing with a smile. "You always do." He folded his hands behind his head, thinking about it. "My name is Giotto, technically. I was born in this time line the same reasons the others were. G, Lampo, Knuckle, Asari, Alaude, Daemon, they were all brought to this time like me to stop something. However, I can't remember that part." His voice twisted to a slight deeper tint, showing the other mature version of Ieyasu.
"... How are you doing?" The question was silent, obviously Caelum being able to read the blonde more closely then he had thought.
"... I actually feel bad. Having dragged my family through trials, not to mention screwing my own descendant over." At Caelum's curious look, he smiled. "As you know, the others have descendants, Gokudera, Lambo, Chrome, Yamamoto, Ryohei, Hibari. However because of my presence it seems the true Vongola Decimo is missing, unable to appear because I disrupted the flow... Do you think I get penalized for that in the after life?" The blonde looked to the brunet in curiosity, realizing the brunet was deep in thought.
"... I believe in the after life they consider good deeds... Though who knows, considering you. You can remember your past life and practically denied death to take you. You'll be sent straight to hell."
Hah? Caelum certainly had a way to make him feel better about death.
Their conversation was halted, the door being thrown open as a flurry of guardians and children ran in, the madness making them forgot for a moment about their pressing thoughts.
Ieyasu pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. The entire Vongola were mad, not to mention those he expected to act mature were children. Caelum gave a small sigh, reaching to his side hip, a gun immediately in his hands.
"Oi!" He exclaimed, shooting off in the sky as Ieyasu stepped away. That was really dangerous, though it got the trick as all the people in his backyard suddenly came to attention.
The young faces of his family almost made him laugh, Alaude and Daemon being the exception considering they looked the same as before.
"As you know, I am Giotto, Vongola Primo." His eyes glowed in the sunlight, the hush of the backyard an obvious sign this was a serious subject.
"Though, I am still Ieyasu. As you all know, the first generation of Vongola was reborn with the tenth. The reasons why are still evading me. I apologize for everything. To my first generation and the tenth generation."
Ieyasu took a calming breath, the teenager looking into the eyes of all the others in front of him.
"Oi. But if you're the first, who's the tenth?"
Ieyasu looked towards G, his technically best friend reading him easily. "That is also something I need to figure out. My presence threw the whole thing off. The true Vongola Decimo is still missing. Also, at the looks of things, so is the mist guardian. So, before whatever it is we got called out for, being prepared is our first plan of action. As you know, the Vongola first generation mastered all of the Vongola rings because of this I want each of you to help each other. G, Alaude, Daemon, Knuckle, Asari, I am entrusting that task to you, no complaints."
His authority seemed to stun the others, Reborn certainly thrown off by it all. G nodded, red eyes having a shine to then. Ieyasu offered a smile, something to calm all their nerves. He had been asleep for longer then he thought he should have.
"... Wait a minute." Ieyasu turned his baby blue eyes to Gokudera, the silver haired bomber looking curious. "This shouldn't be logically possible. Not to offend you Decimo-er, primo? And if you aren't Vongola Decimo, shouldn't Takuto be next in line."
Ah, Gokudera, always screwing up Ieyasu's thoughts.
The blonde hummed, tilting his head to the side in thought. "I'll answer that. The Vongola rings are a very amazing tool. The creator of these rings, Talbot and the checkered hat man." For some reason, Caelum and Reborn froze up at the implications of his words. He'd have to pry the subject from them later. "Asked for my help personally, I apologize for not informing you of the deal. Because of the rings, we were able to be reincarnated into this era. Our luck is that actually managed to work out."
He averted his eyes to the inside of the house, Nana and Iemitsu taking care of Takuto at the moment. "Takuto is not Vongola Decimo. Not only is he too young, I know he can't be."
He didn't elaborate, he couldn't elaborate. His little brother was an immense worry to him. He had thought of the other being the true Decimo but Ieyasu couldn't accept it. He couldn't be. A guy feeling sent him that.
"Daemon, Alaude, come with me after this." The command was thick in the air, most expecting the two to ignore the blonde but it seemed he had since long ago gained his respect.
Caelum never spoke a word.
Alaude sneered hatefully at the mist illusionist. The French cop turned his attention to the blonde sitting in front of him, the young face not fitting the man Alaude knew and respected though the way he held himself was what he remembered.
They had fled the noisy household to Alaude's crammed office, though Alaude had a good suspicion of what the other was going to conduct. The cop stayed pressed by the door, not allowing Daemon to escape if he wanted to.
"What's the matter? Are you reminiscing?" Daemon taunted, a strange look in his blue eyes as Ieyasu faced him. The teenager had a hard look over his eyes, relaxing the professional posture and making something Alaude was certain was new.
"Daemon. You screwed us over, what the hell am I supposed to think?!"
A thin platinum eyebrow was raised at the outburst, guilt could be felt coming off of Daemon. Their Giotto never tried guilt.
"Oh? Did you come to punish me? For killing off that worthless Shimon family?"
Ieyasu bristled, obviously a sore subject for the young boss. "Alaude."
The cop nodded, crossing his arms over his chest to stare at Daemon. "You might not realize this, but the Shimon family is still alive, a small family but alive and thriving into their tenth generation. You did not kill Cozart."
The shock flying on Daemon's face was amusing as he turned, glaring at Ieyasu.
"Why? Why the heck didn't you say anything?!"
"Because I know Elena wouldn't have liked that. She loved Cozart's family. They were family and your selfish actions were not like you."
A tense silence followed them, one that made Deamon rethink many situations.
"But..."
A guilty look passed the teenagers face.
"But I'm to blame for Elena's death. Our mess wasn't properly conducted. Vongola is shameful. Because of that I will personally take your nephew out of Vindince. As long as you promise to stay. To not betray this family. We need you, Daemon. I need you."
Emotions were laid out in front of Alaude, the forgiving nature of his boss nothing new but still ticked him off.
"I will personally say." The heads turned to the platinum haired male, "Should you attempt anything at Primo's life I will personally end yours."
He glared hatefully at Daemon, the feeling of betrayal still stinging fresh despite being hundreds of years. Daemon looked away, scowl on his face.
"... I'll take you up on the offer."
The brilliant smile on Ieyasu's face was enough to dissolve all tension in the room. It also reassured Alaude from the bottom of his heart.
Tsuna shuffled nervously on his feet, cellphone pressed to his ear firmly.
"Tsunayoshi Caelum Giglio Nero, did you just tell me not to come for your birthday?"
He flinched, feeling the obvious scary anger from his mother.
"I-It's really hectic over here a-and if you come the others will have to! I don't want that! There is way too many people here!"
Silence. Ah, silence was a really deadly weapon in times like this.
"Uni, Tsuna said he didn't want to see you for his birthday."
"H-Hey! Wait a minute! I didn't say that!"
"Tsuna you jerk!"
In a matter of two seconds his mother managed to turn his baby sister against him. He slumped against the desk top, "I give, I give."
The laughter that followed was an icy reminder of how well his mom and sister could play him, the deadliest weapon to the mafia world.
"We'll see you then. Tell me, what was the woman's name for the boy sharing your birthday? I heard from Reborn they were doing one for all three of you. I can't wait to meet her! Oh! I should do it bunny themed! You look so cute in a bunny outfit!"
Tsuna groaned, wondering how he was going to make it to the age of 16 at this rate(?). "Nana Sawada. Please, don't torture me."
He waited for her retort, but was met with silence.
"...mom?"
"You've been in contact with Nana Sawada?"
What? His face showed confusion, the brunet looking up as he heard the familiar voices of Reborn and Lal.
"Yeah? That's Ieyasu's mom, is everything alright?"
"Just peachy! I'll talk to you soon, baby. Bye."
The phone hung up, Tsuna unable to get another word in. It was strange, he wasn't used to his mom being so abrupt before. He brushed his brown fringe from his eyes, doe like eyes looking at Lal who entered the room first, in a hushed conversation with Reborn.
Lal wore her usual tattered outfit, blue hair curled at the edges and framing her face delicately. The goggles around her neck looking heavy duty. He could make out the scratches and worn out marks that littered the area delicately.
Reborn pulled his Fedora off, his curls bouncing at his movements. His hair was slightly shaggy, the usual spikes now falling like bangs in front of his face. It reminded Tsuna of those days he had seen Reborn as a 12 year old. Despite many beliefs, Reborn looked younger and dare he say, cuter as a pre-teen. He had the whole make up of wide black eyes, innocent though those ages were torture to Tsuna.
The brunet shook his head from the thoughts, focusing on the narrowed eyed male in front of him.
Reborn sat down, sighing as he slouched into the chair. Black coat removed, the white professional shirt he wore complimented his developing upper body. The unusual hoister strapped against his chest showed defined and a nicely sculpted chest. At this current age Reborn looked stuck between an adult and a teenager. Tsuna looked away before Reborn took notice, noticing the way his black bangs fell over his eyes.
"Hey! We got an idiot!"
Tsuna looked up, recognizing Colonello's voice. He reached for his hood, tugging the material over his spiky brown hair. The curve of the hood covered his eyes, the shadows working to his advantage, thank god. The one who entered the assassins strong hold was certainly a curious face.
"Skull?" Tsuna questioned in amusement, the usual piercings were present on the stunt man, the often embarrassing jumpsuit was ever present on his form.
Skull was the youngest Arcobaleno and he certainly looked it. Unlike Reborn or Lal he had a baby face, dark eyes having a round tint to then and purple wild hair occasionally framing his cheeks. The piercings were present to give him a tougher look. Naturally Tsuna had to redo the piercings when he was aging, Aria had taken off the piercings and the holes had closed.
Reborn had offered to do the piercings but everyone knew leaving those two in the same room would probably kill Skull.
"Tsuna!" He jumped onto the brunet, startling Tsuna immensely.
No less had Skull made contact, Reborn yanked him away. "Injuries, idiot."
Liar, Tsuna thought, giving a look to the hitman who busied himself in tossing the other away.
"Hey, you jealous?" Colonello smirked, which only spelt trouble as Colonello draped his arms around Tsuna's lanky shoulders.
"Oi, you wanna die?"
Tsuna sighed, used to such confrontations over the most ridiculous things.
He was getting a headache. The arcobaleno apprentice shrugged off the arms, ducking out of the room to deal with his thoughts.
Ieyasu, Giotto, what ever the hell he went by knew his name in the future. Naturally it wasn't that bad, Tsuna felt confident in trusting the other with his name. But he was more curious about his gloves. He tossed himself on the bed, raising a hand over his eyes and taking a deep breath. His gloves, the weapon he recovered from Leon himself. The gloves that now bared the Vongola symbol on them. He clenched his hand into a fist, bringing it back to his chest with a wary look.
It felt like the calm before a storm. Or was it the eye of a hurricane?
He couldn't shake the feeling everything was going to become insane very, very soon.
"Sir. We located him."
Purple eyes slanted over to the young woman who approached him, her delicate body and beautifully colored skin. Her lab coat was tight over her curves, dark eyes and beautiful plump lips giving him a seductive look.
"Ah, Lucy. Did you finally?"
On his fingers rested a piece of silver, a right orange stone with wings framing it.
"Yes, in the town of Namimori, shall we head out?"
A soft laughter filled the room as the hand reached for a bag of sweets.
"Please do. I'll reach you in a few moments, you're dismissed."
He popped a marshmallow into his mouth as she disappeared in the door way. Door shut firmly, he stared out the window, white hair covering one of his dangerously narrowed purple eyes.
"Ah~ Vongola. You certainly are a pain in my side, aren't you? Don't worry. It'll all be over soon."
