Chapter:5

"when It rains..."

I started off from the park with a little feeling of guilt because of my declination Tavi's invitation. I mean she has been such a sweetheart to me since I got out of the hospital and met her at one of Vinyl's shows.

"Dammit..." I turned around and headed back to the park, I ignored the childish giggles from the rest of ponies around me and approached Octavia and Vinyl with a sense of nervousness in my body and tapped Tavi on the back.

She turned around with a little smile on her face and tapped the ground next to her. "Why how nice of you to join us Chase."

Octavia seemed to have a cheerful mood about her as I sat next to her and we chatted away about gossip, events, and of course music. I snuck a couple of glances at Vinyl who was so into her work she had not said a single word almost the whole hour me and Octavia talked. Octavia and I were so engrossed in our conversation that we hadn't noticed the sky starting to darken and a gentle breeze started to wind through the trees and grass.

"Tavi we should go. I can't afford to get my stuff wet." Vinyl's horn started to emit a aura and all of her stuff started to float and put itself away in a bag Vinyl had brought.

Octavia looked up at the sky, then Vinyl and back to me. "Well it seems we were so engrossed in our chit-chat ttat I lost track of time and the weather." She let out a cute little giggle and got up stretching out her body and let out a pleased yawn.

"Ahh yes Vinyl give me a moment. We will have to do this again Ms. Chase."

I got up and did the same feeling my body relax a little. "yeah we definitely have to. I had fun Tavi." We gave each other a smile and hugged each other tight.

"Tavi c'mon we got going before those weather ponies decide to be a jerks and bring the rain." I looked at Vinyl who had a annoyed expression on her face as she started walking away. Octavia rolled her eyes and hurried towards Vinyl giving a look back at me and a smile.

I could her Vinyl's voice say something in a annoyed tone in the distance as they walked away.

"God Tavi why do you choose the weirdest ponies to be friends with I swear.".

Chase is not a weirdo! In fact I find her to be quite a Sweetheart actually."

Hearing Vinyl talk to Octavia kinda brought me down but I decided to try and forget it and quickly took off towards Rarity's Boutique.

About halfway there I head a familiar voice scream my name at top of their lungs and was suddenly tackled to the ground by a familiar blonde maned and gray coated Mare.

"Hi Chase!" Derpy sat on my chest staring into my eyes with hers with her nose touching mine giving a happy smile. Her eyes were never spot on but it didn't bother me any. I always found it actually kinda cute. "Hey Derpy. What are you doing out here? It's about to rain."

She rubbed her nose on mine still giving that usual innocent smile that made me blush alittle. While it was a innocent gesture to her it made me feel like it was more of a romantic gesture for some reason, but that was my thinking and I was awkward about stuff like that.

"Silly Chase, you should know by now. Muffins!" I sighed. Of course. (This Pegasus and her muffins I swear.) I looked away from her and moved my body so that she flew off of me and stood next to me. "Well I'm not let you go alone Ditzy. I'll go with you.

Derpy and I walked to Derpy's favorite place SugarCube Corner. We gathered up our stuff and headed outside where the rain started to pour.

"Oh no! My Muffins! I moved next to Derpy and spread my left wing holding up over Derpy to keep her dry."Chase what about you? Your getting soaked!" I smiled at how caring she was. She had always put everyone before herself. (Which I was she wouldn't do but she was kinda stubborn when it came to that I dropped it.) " I will be fine Derpy. Don't worry." I gave her a reassuring smile and she looked at her right wing like she was measuring it.

My wings had grown a bit since I got out of the hospital so I could easily cover a full pony up with my full wingspan. "Derpy it's not big enough. Don't worry lets go." She gave me a sad look and we started to walk down the path.

She had not uttered a word when we reached the halfway point and continued to have a sad expression on her face. So I leaned in and gave her a kiss on her cheek. She gave me all too familiar smile even though she held her bag of muffins in her mouth and we set off once again with smiles on each others faces.
