Chapter 33: Overwhelming! Aizen's Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu!

"There is something I need to fill you two in on." Unohana said. "You two, at the moment, are the only people in the World of the Living, Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo who can fight Sosuke Aizen and actually defeat him."

"What do you mean?" Luffy asked, confused about what Unohana means by that.

"I'm going tell the both of you about the power of his zanpakuto which is called Kyoka Suigetsu, and the requirements to activate it." Unohana said.

(Flashback)

Unohana and Isane's eyes widen when a defeated Aizen shattered into pieces, revealing the real Aizen, completely unharmed. Aizen stabbed his sword to the ground and said, "This is my zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu. Its ability is perfect hypnosis."

"Impossible!" Isane refuted. "It couldn't change. Kyoka Suigetsu has always been a running water type zanpakuto. It shields and defuses the reflection of mist to confuse enemies into attacking each other. You explained to us exactly how it worked Captain Aizen! And we saw it with our own eyes! You pacifically gathered all of the lieutenants together because you wanted to demonstrate it!" Aizen smirked at what Isane said.

"I see now." Unohana said, confusing Isane. "Your demonstration was actually the hypnosis ritual."

"You're catching on quickly." Aizen said. "Complete hypnosis controls all five and is able to cause every dimension of a target, including its form, shape mass, feel and smell, even its vocal patterns and the way it taste, to perfectly replicate that of an enemy. In other words, it's possible for me to make a fly to appear to be a dragon. And all I need to do to activate it is to simply show my enemies my zanpakuto's release. The power of my zanpakuto is only limited by my mind because if whoever lays their eyes on it, even once, will be hypnotized into doing my biding whenever I release my Kyoka Suigetsu."

(End of Flashback)

"Anyone who sees it…just once?" Luffy questioned.

"That's right." Unohana said. "All of us who make up the 13 Court Guard Squads, Kisuke Urahara and his people, who Ichigo is aquatinted to in the World to the Living, and even Sosuke Aizen's subordinates, the Arrancars and the Espadas, anyone who's even remotely involved in the battles in the World of the Living has seen Aizen's shikai. Everyone that is, except for you Ichigo." Ichigo looked at Unohana surprised. "You possess spiritual pressure equal to that for a captain and you have not seen the Kyoka Suigetsu shikai." Unohana then looked at Luffy. "The same thing goes for you, Luffy."

"Really?" Luffy asked confused.

"Yes, you possess spiritual pressure equal to Ichigo's combined with the abilities you gained from a devil fruit. And along the three of us, you're the only one who has yet to encounter Aizen or see his sword release." Luffy nodded as his expression changed from confused to serious.

"As long as we don't see Aizen's shikai, we won't fall under his perfect hypnosis?" Ichigo asked.

"That's right." Unohana said. "Keep in mind, your advantage is very important in this battle. But you have to maintain that advantage. If you do anything to lose it, you'll become vulnerable and the battle cannot be won. Listen to me both of you, no matter what happens in this confrontation from here on out, you must not look at Aizen's shikai. Do you understand?"

"Got it." Ichigo and Luffy said in unison as they continue to run.

"Thank you, Captain Unohana." Ichigo said. "I'm glad that you explained all of that to us before we meet up with him. If we're the only ones that can do this, then our path is clear."

"We will defeat Aizen!" Luffy shouted.

Back in Hueco Mundo, Kenpachi continued his battle against Yammy. Yammy lashed his club-like tail at the Squad 11 Captain. Kenpachi easily dodged it by jumping back as it hit the sand.

"You're pretty slow!" Kenpachi taunted, irritated the espada. With the fist that lost two fingers, Yammy punched Kenpachi and started punching the captain down to the spot. The dust cleared and revealed that Kenpachi was still standing with a sadistic grin on his. "Hey maggot, that gets me itchy! Is that the best you got?!"

Yammy threw another punch at Kenpachi with his three-fingered fist. Kenpachi jumped towards the espada, avoiding the attack and lifting Yammy up before slamming him to the ground back first. Byakuya and Mayuri continue to watch Kenpachi take control in his battle against the espada.

"I see that his personality isn't that only thing that's brutish." Mayuri said. "He also got some brute strength to able to flip that giant body over."

"That hurt damn it!" Yammy cursed as he got back up. "You're starting to piss me off! You're pesky mosquito, you damn bug! I guess I'll have to squash you!" Yammy charged toward Kenpachi, ready to attack. Kenpachi's grin continued to grow, turning devilish as he charged at the espada and the battle intensifies.

"If he's going to defeat him, I wish he'll get it over with quickly for heaven's sake." Mayuri said. "I'm on pins and needles. I'm dying to dissect that big espada."

Kenpachi's eyes widen as Yammy lashed his tail at Kenpachi, hitting him directly and knocking him back a few feet.

"Oh great, it appears that I'm going to be dissecting the Squad 11 Captain instead of that big bruiser I was so excited about. But, that should be enjoyable too just less to cut up." Byakuya continued to look on, ready to jump into the battle if necessary. Rukia and Nami looked on as Isane continues to heal their friends.

"How bad does it look Isane?" Rukia asked.

"Real bad, but I'll handle it." Isane answered. That gave Rukia and Nami a little gleam of hope that friends might survive.

"Please save them." Nami said.

"I will." Isane said as she continues to treat everyone's wounds. At that moment, Zoro and Sanji started to stir, catching everyone's attention.

"Zoro! Sanji!" Nami said surprised.

In the garganta, Ichigo and Luffy continue to run towards the World of the Living. Unohana looked down on the path the way they're down and saw that it's falling apart.

"Listen Ichigo, Luffy." She said, getting the boys' attention. "How about you two let me run in front of you for a little while?"

"Um…ok, we'll be alright." Ichigo answered. "If you're about one of us using up our spritiual pressure, don't worry…" Then the two stopped in their track, looking at the Squad 4 Captain completely scared.

"I think it would be a good idea if you lead if you two let me run in front of you now." Unohana suggested coldly but maintain her kind smile. Ichigo and Luffy quickly nodded, scared of what could happen if they made Unohana angry.

"Sorry about that." Ichigo said as Unohana ran in front of the two boys.

"No worries." Unohana said as the path suddenly turned smooth and easier to run on.

"Whoa cool!" Luffy said, looking the path with stars in his eyes.

"Yeah, the path looks so when it's laid out by a captain's spirit energy." Ichigo said, looking at the path. "Mine would be nice too if I were in good condition."

"What are talking about?" Unohana asked. "Don't you know that you and me have similar spirit energy." Ichigo looked at the captain confused. "From what I can see, the wounds on the both of you have already been healed up. But you'll be making a mess even in your best condition. Your sloppy spirit energy isn't suited for the task."

"That's not true." Ichigo protested. "I haven't recovered yet. That's the problem. I know I can do better if I were."

"You must be daydreaming. Although I must say, you looked to be wide awake."

"Hold on, don't you think you're being a little hard on me? I'm not a daydreamer. This is very real." Ichigo pointed at the arm that he's holding with. "Let me point out to you in case you missed it, I only have one sleeve." Unohana looked back at Ichigo and what he was talking about. "When I release my bankai, my robe transforms. It seems like this robe is a part of my bankai." Unohana widen her eyes, knowing what Ichigo meant. "When Isane has healing me and Luffy, only of my robe got fixed. But Orihime healed me before, my robe was complete restored. So I've asked Isane what happened. She said that she dissolved that she was able to heal wounds quickly but it'll take her a while to revive a person's spirit energy. But we were in a big hurry because Rukia and the others were in danger and we couldn't stay to finish. So we left before having our spirit energy restored." Ichigo pointed at what's left of the top part of his robe. "So that is it. This is all the spirit energy I have left right now. I don't know about Luffy, he could have amount as I do or probably less."

Unohana looked at the two boys with widen eyes as Ichigo continued: "If I was at my best, I could do better."

'Impossible!' Unohana thought, looking at Ichigo's robe. 'His robe is less than half than what it usually is. This is not what I expected to hear. If these two have half of their spirit energy, that's bad. I was under the impression that their level was equal to a captain and it needs to be.' Then Unohana stopped running, causing Ichigo and Luffy to stop as well.

"Ichigo, Luffy, I think you two should run in front of me now." She said, surprising the boys. "I'm going to try and restore the spirit energy in the both of you the best I can while we're moving along."

"On the run?" Ichigo questioned. "While we're in motion, you can do that?"

"Yes I can. When healing with kido, we start by restoring one's inner spirit energy. Then the restored internal spirit energy is combined with the healer's external spirit energy is causes the whole body is be repaired."

Luffy titled his head confused and said, "I don't get it."

"You'll see what I mean soon enough." Unohana said. "As it turns out, restoring missing spirit energy in a body that has been healed is quite easy. I've done it many times. And now Ichigo, you'll go first, to the front." Ichigo nodded and moved in front of the captain.

'If what I'm sensing is really only half of his spirit energy…' Unohana thought as the path returned to what it once was, causing Ichigo to start running.

"Hey Ichigo, wait up!" Luffy shouted, following the substitute soul reaper.

"If I restore them, there's a very good chance they could be the advantage that we need." Unohana said as she started running after the two boys. "They could be the ones with enough power to end this battle.

Back in Hueco Mundo, boulders were thrown towards Yammy, only to be destroyed by his fist.

"I got you!" Kenpachi shouted, jumping towards Yammy's head, trying to cut it. Yammy countered, head butting the captain, sending him to the ground. Kenpachi landed on his feet and charged towards the espada. "I don't think so, maggot!" Kenpachi slashed one of Yammy's legs, causing the espada to winch in pain.

"Get off of me!" Yammy shouted, trying to get Kenpachi off of his leg. Kenpachi continued to slash at Yammy's leg, forcing blood to come out. "Bastard! That hurts!" Kenpachi slashed at Yammy's leg again, cut it off this time.

Zoro and Sanji looked on with widen eyes, not believe what they're seeing. They had a hard time trying to slow the espada down.

"What the hell?" Sanji said. "Who is that guy?"

"That was my leg, you creep!" Yammy shouted. Then his eyes widen when Kenpachi charging toward him.

"Last one!" Kenpachi shouted, slashing Yammy in the head and knocking him down.

"Thank goodness." Mayuri said. "I was getting so tired of all of this waiting around that I almost fell asleep. But it looks like now I can begin dissecting." Mayuri looked at his lieuntant. "Prepare to dissect, Nemu."

"Yes, Master Mayuri." Nemu said.

Kenpachi looked at the fallen espada and said, "You finally went down. He was pretty tough. Hey big guy, are you really done now?" Yammy didn't respond. Kenpachi looked over to Byakuya and said, "Hey Byakuay Kuchiki, it looks like this guy has had it. I'm going to let you handle the rest."

"I don't understand what you mean by that." Byakuya said, walking towards Kenpachi.

"What? Are you stupid?" Kenpachi said, talking to Byakuya. "I figured you must be bored from standing around and watching all of this. So I'm take care for finishing him off. You'll be the clean-up crew."

"I see. You're telling to tidy up after you by taking care of your unfinished business, is that it? Just who do you think you are?"

"Excuse me? I don't like finishing those who are weaker than I am. So complaining and just do it already."

"I refuse. Clean up your own mess. I think that this type of dirty work is suited to a brute like you."

"Is that so?" Then a giant hand got between the two captains. They looked over and saw Yammy struggling to his feet.

"Damn!" he cursed. "Damn! Damn!" Yammy charged up a cero and fired it at Kenpachi and Byakuya.
