Chapter 34: Byakuya vs. Kenpachi? Collision of Two Men's Pride!

Then a giant hand got between Kenpachi and Byakuya. They looked over and saw Yammy struggling to his feet.

"Damn!" he cursed. "Damn! Damn!" Yammy charged up a cero and fired it at Kenpachi and Byakuya.

The force of the cero sent a shockwave throughout the area. "Brother, are you…" Rukia said, worried about Byakuya.

"Hey Zoro, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Sanji asked, lighting his cigarette.

"Yeah, let's go." Zoro said, standing up.

"Right." Sanji said, standing up. Nami looked at the two confused as the two started walking towards the battlefield. It is one of the rare occasions that they're not arguing with each other.

"Wait a minute, you shouldn't go out!" Isane shouted, trying to stop the two. "Your injuries haven't completely healed yet! It's dangerous for you…"

"I won't worry about those if I were you." Nami said, cutting Isane off. "I know those two a lot longer than you. If they are planning to fight that big guy again, there's no doubt that they will win." Isane and Rukia looked at Nami

Mayuri felt the force of the cero from his position and said, "What are they doing down there? Well the good news is that no matter who lives or who dies, I'll still require some excellent research specimens."

Kenpachi jumped out of the smoke and charged the espada. "That was an impressive cero." He said. "That damn bastard! I guess he still have some power left."

"It seem so." A voice said, catching Kenpachi's attention. He looked behind his shoulder and saw Byakuya flying towards the espada. "You said that he was almost finished. From over here, it certainly doesn't look that way. Your assessment of his condition has proven to be foolish."

"I wasn't wrong." Kenpachi refuted. "I told you, all that guy needed was someone to finish him off. The only foolish was thinking that you can do it." Byakuya glared at Kenpachi and Kenpachi returned the glare at Byakuya.

"Is that so?" Byakuya dropped his sword to the ground and it phased through the sand. Then two rows of giant blade rose up from the sand and scattered into countless cherry blossom like blades. "You doubt my abilities, do you? Why don't you judge them for yourself?" Byakuya sends some of his pedal like blade at Kenpachi.

Kenpachi stopped and faced Byakuya. "Good idea! I've always wanted to fight you and now is as good a time as any!" Then Yammy charged the two, trying to attack them.

"You're in the way!" they shouted in unison, turning towards the espada. "Get lost!" Kenpachi slashed a part of Yammy's mask, cutting if off as Byakuya hit Yammy in the face with his flying blades. Yammy yelled in pain as he fell to the ground. The two captains took a deep breath, and then faced each other again.

"Now then…" Byakuya said.

"Shall we get on with it?" Kenpachi said, ready to fight. Kenpachi ready his sword as the flying blade circle around Byakuya. Yammy got back to his feet once more, catching the captains' attention.

"He is persistent." Byakuya said, looking at Yammy. "What a nuisance."

Yammy started to laugh as he said, "That hurt. You two are starting to piss me off." Then red aura surrounds Yammy as his body started to change.

"What's with him?" Kenpachi asked. "Has he gone crazy or something?"

"Unforgivable!" Yammy shouted as his body started to change. "Unforgivable! Unforgivable!" Byakuya and Kenpachi as they flash stepped away from the espada. Smoke covered Yammy and entire area as tower of spirit energy erupted from where Yammy was standing.

"What happened?" Rukia asked. Nami shrugged her shoulder, not knowing what's going on herself. Then the two girls' eyes widen. "What is that?!"

Byakuya and Kenpachi reappeared on the spot they were before and noticed a huge shadow hovering over them. They looked up and saw that Yammy's appearance has changed. He is even bigger than he was before. His mask was restored and his previous were healed. He has two massive horns coming out of his back and multiple horns on his head and lower jaw. The bottom half of his became more hairy like an ape and his tail lost its club.

"Very good, you two." Yammy said. "By all means, keep annoying me. The name of my resurrecion is Ira. I'm a beast of rage. Anger fuels me and becomes my strength. Come on, keep at it. Make me angrier. It would only make your deaths that much more pathetic."

Mayuri looked on from his position and said, "My word, those two making things difficult. I wish that they would hurry up and kill each other already. I mean if he gets any larger, it'll be difficult to dissect his body."

"So that's your true form, huh?" a voice said, getting the giant espada's attention. Byakuya and Kenpachi looked behind and saw Zoro and Sanji. "Sorry, but we're going to take your opponent."
