I was rereading this and wow I just realized how weird my writing used to be. But this idea was always something I really thought was plausible so here I go..
PS: This chapter is really long, I had to finish the story lol X)
Also, thanks for the reviews-
kikihoran – Sorry, it has been like 2 years, but I hope you like it :)
Ranger123 – True I realize that looking back now. I hope you enjoy this one, its the longest one yet ;)
Fanfiction Gazette Editor – Haha, yes I know. I wanted to keep him a bit light because he is still just a kid forced to grow up too quickly, so despite his seemingly mature actions, he is really just an insecure little boy who is trying to live life the best he can :) And of course, Aphrodite works her magic to try to mellow him down a bit ;)
Angel1504 – You, my dear, are absolutely correct! Enjoy the plot :)
Nico POV-
After all that madness with Mia – how dare she try to trick me like that? Gosh, Aphrodite, I thought you were on my side!- I was determined to get Leah back. I can't believe I hurt her, especially after all the crap she had gone through. Yea, gossip travels fast in this camp, ESPECIALLY in the Aphrodite cabin. I grumbled as I tripped over a branch. I heard faint footsteps behind me.
Leah.
Her woodsy scent enveloped me and I instantaneously felt better. I reached to take her hand as we strolled to the lake. "So you ready to talk?"
She kissed me tenderly, "Absolutely!"
"Okay, I have to apologize for all that just happened. You know Mia, that vindictive betch. She-"
"I figured. I mean, I'm the one who should be sorry. My job is to protect you and I really haven't been doing that-"
"Lee lee, I'm the guy here. Let me do the chivalry parts." I requested.
"Okay," she said, smiling, "It will be nice not to be the grown up all the time." I leaned in and kissed her again.
"You never have to worry about anything again. I promise, I will take care of you. I will never hurt you again." I softly said. "If anyone dares hurt you, I will send em a one-way ticket to my dad's castle. I'm sure the furies wouldn't mind a target."
"Thank you.." she muttered, her voice breaking. I glanced at her beautiful face as tears rolled down her cheeks. Wow, I really was becoming one of those sappy guys, like Percy.
"AWWWWWW!" celestial voices gushed around us.
"What?" Leah said, wiping her tears, surprised to see all the water and wood nymphs giggling around us with joy in their eyes.
"Scram! We are having a private moment!" I screeched at them.
"Hahaha!" they all giggled some more, "You are in our territory, son of death!"
"Oh god, get out! I really don't want my life to be a public spectacle!" Leah said, venom in her voice.
"It's alright. Here, let's go back to my cabin. Noone will dare disturb us there!" I said. She nodded and I put my arm around her shoulders and she put her arms around my waist.
Leah's POV-
I am truly so lucky. I knew I was. Especially after the whole Sam incident, my life couldn't have gotten any worse. But it's darkest before dawn I guess. Huh, I'm becoming to sappy like Jake and my brother. But truly, Nico was everything I needed. He was my imprintee, but it seemed he was taking care of me more than I was for him. I inhaled his scent as I lay my head on his shoulder as we walked through the forest back to his cabin. I heard the chatter of the camp as we got closer to civilization.
"Hey! I see the new lovebirds finally came back!" Drake said. I smirked.
"Yea, and next time you lay your hands, let alone lips, on her again, I will throw you down a crack in the ground!" Nico said threateningly. God, he is so hot. Drake raised his arms in defeat.
"My bad man, it was all a bribe. And Mia pays well.." he defended.
"Nico! Leah!" Annabeth said, gushing. Wait, gushing? She doesn't do that.. RIGHT. The engagement!
"Congratulations Annabeth!" I squealed, hugging her. I glared at Nico until he realized what happened.
"Right! The engagement! Way to go Percy, excellent timing!" Nico said, hugging his big brother. I liked that Nico had such good friends, especially someone as genuine as Percy.
"Well, I was terrified the whole time. I wasn't even sure she would say yes!" Percy confided. I rolled my eyes. Idiot. He clearly didn't realize the passion of their love.
"You're an idiot Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth said, punching his arm.
"Ow!" Percy said, feigning pain.
"Hah! We know who the man is in this relationship." Nico said, implying that Percy was a girl. Annabeth and I laughed. Then she took Percy's hand and walked off.
"Good night guys!" she said.
"Night!" I replied, also taking Nico's hand.
"Let's go!" he said, leading me to his cabin. I peered inside, loving the dark colored walls. Nearly everything was black, and I loved it. I looked around at bare walls and the one huge bed in the middle.
Nico looked at me questioningly. "Do you like it?"
"I love it!" I said.
"Most people think it's too dark and depressing." he muttered. I took his face in my hands.
"It's perfect. Not everyone gets how black is the most beautiful color." I said. "Not everyone knows what its like."
"I guess that's another reason we are so alike. Our crappy lives." he said.
"True. Well, I only remember this one, as a wolf. Not the previous one..." I trailed off, frowning. It's strange to not know about another life, my REAL life.
"Hey, it's okay. I lot track of a lot of time too!" he said, reassuringly.
Nico POV-
I remembered how she was cursed by my father. I could relate, after all, I too was stuck in the horrendous casino in Las Vegas for a good part of a century. "Hey, we can take it slow. I'm also technically waay older than I look. I guess I'm actually older than you!"
Leah laughed. "I guess you are!"
"Come here." I said, pulling her into my lap as we both descended on my bed. I kissed her with so much passion I thought the room would burst.
"Are you sure about this?" Leah asked, breaking away from me.
"About what?" I asked.
"This. Me. Wanted me." she clarified, insecurity in her voice.
"Shut up." I muttered. "Don't be idiotic. Of course I want you. I have been waiting for you since World War 2, babe." I kissed her all over her face.
"I love you." she said, softly. I looked into her beautiful brown eyes. I notices specks of gray and golden from the dimmed lights in my room.
"I love you more." I responded, as I kissed her again. We lost each other in our arms.
Suddenly, I heard whistling outside.
"Aaaaayeeee! Nice Leah!" a bunch of boys whooped as they ran inside.
"What the Hades?" I muttered, until I finally recognized them as the pack.
"GET! OUT!" Leah hollered. She got up and shoved Embry and Quil, who were only followed by Jacob.
"Hahaha. Really? You think we are gonna leave when our special Leebear is finally happy?" Jacob taunted. Leah rolled her eyes.
"Wow, calm down dude. We aren't gonna kill you!" Embry said. I was confused. Then I realized I had my dagger in my had, ready to fight.
"Sorry. Instict." I said, putting it away.
"Damn. He's as feral as you, Leah! You caught a good one." Quil said, cackling.
"Keep dreaming, Mr. Babysitter!" Leah smirked.
"Babysitter?" I asked.
"Quil here, has only imprinted. Sadly, Claire is only 5 years old right now." Leah explained.
"Oooh. Nice, one Quil. Have fun! Just wait for 13 more years, kay?" I mocked.
"Oh hush. How old are you anyways?" he asked me.
"About to be 16. Well, I'm actually I'm like 90-something. But physically I'm only 16." I retorted.
"90- jesus! Leah, you can't date someone THAT old!" Quil exclaimed.
"Well to be fair, I'm probably 80-something!" Leah said.
"WHAT?" Jacob exclaimed.
"Calm down Jake." she said, smiling.
"Basically, she was born around World War 2, as a demigod daughter of Aphrodite." I started explaining.
"Wait.. what about Mom and Dad?" Seth asked.
"Let him finish!" Leah said.
"So basically, she pulled a prank on my dad, Hades." I continued.
"And he's the god of..." Jacob inquired.
"Death." Renesmee answered, with the Cullens following her.
"Right. So she pranked my dad – which by the way Leah, is always a TERRIBLE idea... I get my temper from him!- and so of course he got super pissed. Then, my dad cursed her to the Underworld." I said.
"Until..." Bella prompted. "Well, we clearly aren't in the Underworld here now.."
"Aphrodite talked to Hades and convinced him to allow her soul to be reborn as a normal girl." I explained.
"Psh, normal my ass!" Leah snarked.
"It's ok, hon. I will talk to my dad. Well, try to at least." I reassured her. "But the whole Sam/Emily thing was destined. Because of Dad promising Leah misery in her love life."
"So are you till going to see me as pathetic little Leah, heartbroken by the perfect couple?" Leah asked the pack.
"Leah, I never thought that!" Seth protested.
"And besides, Sam is an ass, and I'm sure the council would be eager to replace him as soon as they know the truth!" Jacob said, angrily.
"Ok, no please. I don't want to talk about that bast- idiot anymore!" Leah said. I hugged her tender body.
"Not a problem my dear. At least you have me now, okay? I intend to keep my promise, you will always have me!" I said, kissing her head.
"Aww! This is perfect!" Alice said, elated. The Cullens all smiled at us. I smiled back.
"Is there a party happening here? Well, y'all forgot to invite us!" two familiarly annoying voices called out.
"TRAVIS AND CONNER I SWEAR ON THE RIVER STYX!" I hollered. An effort too late, unfortunately.
"The Hermes cabin has ariiiived!" Travis smirked as all the idiotic minions rushed inside, ruining the moment. Anger boiled through me. The pack and Cullens watched me, curious to see what I would do. I let go of Leah's hand and channeled the power of Hades. The cabin shook and cracks appeared in the ground.
"Oh, shit!" some wolf cried out.
"Nicooo! C'mon! We are just trying to have fun!" Conner protested.
"Get. Out. Of. My. Cabin!" I said through my teeth. Skeletons rose out of the cracks and chased the Hermes cabin out. "Finally!"
"Nicoo." a stern voice called.
Chiron.
Ugh, I'm in deep Cerberus-crap now.
"Having another tantrum?" he asked, walking in. I scowled. He gave me a fatherly look. "And what are the rest of you doing here? I may have a horse's behind, but I sure as Hades can kick yours! I taught all these heroes how to fight, so don't fight the rules." Everyone gulped and left. Leah hid in the shadows.
"Sorry about that.." Carlisle apologized, embarassed. They all finally left.
"And Nico, I trust you will send Ms. Clearwater back to her cabin soon?" Chiron asked. He was letting her stay? Dang!
"Of course, sir!" I said, saluting him. "Thanks, Chiron!"
He just gave me a look, glanced at Leah, tenderly, then left.
"Wow, he let you off easy! He usually has us cleaning stables for a month if anything like this happens, especially like this!" I said.
"Must be my charm!" Leah smirked, hugging me.
"Am I interrupting?" Mr. D said, waiting in the doorway.
"Mr., Mr. D! What brings you here? Is everything okay?" I stammered.
"Just checking to see how our Leah is doing, Nick."
"It's, um, Nico, sir." I responded. Some things never change.
"Whatever. Leah?" he asked.
"Yes? Sir.." she responded.
Leah POV-
Mr. D, as Nico called him, looked very familiar. Though, I couldn't remember why.
"Do I know you?" I asked. "From before, I mean?"
He smiled at me. "Yes, you made quite the impression."
"Oh.." I said, unsure of what to say. He should really clarify that. "What exactly happened? I vaguely remember you and Chiron and a few others, but I have no idea what happened..."
"Well, I'm not really sure if I'm the best person to show you..." he said, hesitantly.
"Who will then? I am just so confused and I hated this life until I met Nico... And I'm just so tired of all this..." she said, pacing. To my surprise, Mr. D came and hugged me.
"Shhh.. It's going to be fine, koritsi (AN: It means girl)" he muttered. "I have missed you very much.."
Nico looked horrified, so I figured this was not Mr. D's usual behavior.
"You should just enjoy this night, tomorrow we can discuss all of this, alright?" he said gently. I nodded at him. He smiled. "You! Nick, make sure she get's all that she wants!"
"Yes, of course Mr. D!" Nico assured him. I smiled. I didn't know why, but Mr. D made me happy. I think we may have been friends before.
"So, he's not usually like that?" I asked Nico.
"Never! Girl, what did you do to him?" he asked me.
"I have no idea. I think we may have been friends. Or maybe he was involved in the whole thing that got us to this whole age mess." I responding, realizing that I was probably right.
"Okay, like Mr. D said, we can talk about this tomorrow. Let's get some sleep." Nico said to me. I looked at him, laying on his bed.
"Scoot over." I demanded, snuggling next to him. "So how the hell did you split the ground like that?"
He laughed. "One of my many talents."
"One of them eh?" I asked, suggestively.
He blushed. I laughed at him.
"I also have a skeleton army, which is pretty much indestructible since they keep rebuilding themselves if they are torn apart."
"Huh, we will have to see if they can handle my wolf teeth." I smirked.
"You are on!" Nico said. "We can try that sometime! There's so much I can show you! I can show you my room in the Underworld-"
"Maybe not, Nico.. Hades hates me, remember?" I reminded him.
"Right.. Well, I can still talk to him! We can try to work this out!" Nico insisted.
"Alright.." I said, taking his hand in mine.
"Your hands are so warm all the time!" he exclaimed.
"Yes, perks of being a wolf." I said, smiling. He hugged me tightly.
"That must be so nice. What else can you do?" he asked.
"Well, I have to get super mad to phase, but I'm getting better at phasing without confusing all my feelings into it and all. So I'm less of a danger to those I actually tolerate." I said.
"So you 'tolerate' me?" Nico asked, pretending to be hurt. I pecked his cheek.
"I guess I don't really have a choice with you." I said, sticking my tongue out at him. "But hmm. Let's see what else... I'm SUUPER fast as a wolf and I guess I'm a pretty good fighter now. Especially for a girl wolf."
"I don't doubt that! Training here at Camp has made me pretty good too. I now know how to harness my powers. I still don't know if I know all my power yet though, Hades always surprises me." he said. "Wait, how do you communicate in wolf form?"
"We all basically share thoughts automatically to communicate. We all have to follow the alpha's orders." I shuddered, thinking of Sam. "Once I joined Jacob's pack though, it wasn't quite as bad."
"Jacob's pack? Wait..."
"Yea, Sam used to be the alpha of us all. Jacob rebelled against him when Sam tried to kill Bella, and since Jake's great-grandpa was the alpha, it was in Jake's blood to be alpha. I basically chose to join Jake's pack and left Sam. Thank goodness." I said. "Sam was torture.."
"Holy Hades... Leah, that's horrible! That monster got to order you around?" Nico asked, appalled. I smiled at his concern.
"It's alright. Really. Being in his pack was just horrible because everyone pitied and was annoyed with me, more than usual because they actually knew what I thought, ALL the time." I said. "It was worse before, right after Sam imprinted on Emily. Honestly, I don't even know how he imprinted on her. He cheated on her all the time with me. Against my will, of course. Emily might be the she-devil, but that doesn't mean I was going to willingly stoop that low."
"That's horrible." Nico muttered. "They deserve each other, they are both terrible people. I'm sure they keep each other happy with their own malicious intentions. Emily probably made him do that to you just to mess with you."
"Maybe. Sam does have to keep Emily happy, it's an innate quality of imprinting on someone. Huh, that bitch is so cruel she has to see me hurt all the time..." I said, understanding.
"I am sooo sorry you had to go through all that!" Nico said, hugging me tightly.
"Ok, enough about me. Tell me more about you." I said.
"Fine, fine.." Nico said.
Nico's POV-
I thought it was horrible to know all the things she went through. I understand why she is so bitter now. She deserves so much better! Leah is such a kind person, all the peopl she trusted just hardened her!
"Well, I can shadow travel, as you remember." I smirked. "It's lots of fun, but takes a toll on me."
"It's still a damn cool power!" Leah murmured.
"And I have a pet hellhound, Mrs. O'Leary. Well, she's actually Percy's hellhound, but she likes me a lot too because she's an animal of the dead." I said.
"Aww, I love dogs! I have to meet her sometime!" Leah gushed. All the worry lines on her face disappeared as pure bliss and excitement filled her face. Just looking at her made me super happy. She radiated joy from her. Huh, must be part of her daughter-of-Aphrodite charm.
"Sure! Mrs. O'Leary would love you. And you two can probably bond over your mutual animalness.." I said. CERBERUS-CRAP! NICO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!"Wait, I don't mean it like that!"
Leah just laughed at me. "I know. That was funny!"
I smiled at her. "Well, let's actually get some sleep. I'm sure Chiron will want us to train and be up bright and early!"
"G'night Death boy!" she muttered and drifted off into deep sleep.
"Good night, Leah." I said softly, kissing her head.
My eyes opened suddenly and I found myself up in Olympus again. Oh dear, Aphrodite.
"What do you want now?" I asked, annoyed. Suddenly her beauty blinded me, leaving me in a daze.
"OH MY GOOOODS!" Aphrodite gushed, "YOUR FIRST NIGHT TOGETHER! You two are going to make me CRYYY!"
"Oh my gods yes! I love her so much, she is perfect!" I sighed. Wait, what am I doing? "So, what is up with her past though? Why did my dad do this to her? This seems a bit to extreme of a punishment for a prank, even for Dad!"
"Hush! Do you want him to find our about you two already? He knows it is bound to happen, but he is still angry about that! It was during World War 2, remember? Your father was in quite the mood. If he finds out that you are together NOW, he will try to take her for good!" she whispered, as if my dad would be strolling around on Mount Olympus.
"Right.. Ok, so I'm gonna go now..."I said.
"You just got here though! Don't leave already!"Aphrodite insisted.
"What do you want form me?" I asked, exasperated. She frowned. Oh dear, bad idea.
"Nico, is that any way to speak to the Goddess of Love? You do realize all your happiness rests in my power, right?" she said, growing taller and taller. OH GODS.
"Of course, of course. My apologies, Aphrodite." I said, kneeling in front of her. She is SCAARY!
"Huh, much better. Well, I did manage to give you one night together. You should be thanking me!" she said.
"Wait, what do you mean, one night! Is something going to happen?" I asked, horrified at the thought of me separating from Leah.
"Oh dear, I said too much. Go on now, you'd better get back to my daughter." she said.
"NO! Wait!" I yelled, as she pushed me off the mountain. I was in freefall...
I jolted awake and found Leah still breathing deeply in my arms. I looked outside. The sun. Ew. Sorry, Apollo, but you are waay too bright and much too early. I looked back at Leah, who looked so peaceful. I decided to leave her be and got ready. I heard the horn blow, signaling 10 minutes until breakfast. "Leaaah!"
"Hmmm" she muttered.
"Time to wake up! We have to go to breakfast!" I said.
"Mkay, coming!" she said, rolling over and getting up.
Leah's POV-
I woke up to Nico's voice. I smiled, I could get used to this. I quickly got ready and saw Nico sitting on his chair, deep in thought.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing. Let's go eat!" he said, clearly hiding something. Oh well, I will figure it out later.
"Alright..."
We walked to the picnic tables and I saw everyone else there again.
"Dayum Leah, did you get ANY sleep?" Jacob said, snickering. Nico turned scarlet.
"Oh shut up Jacob!" I said.
"He has a valid question!" Emmett said.
"Oh, not you too leech! Just, don't." I said to him.
"Nice of you two to join us." Chiron said. We both rushed to an the table with the pack and Cullens. Everyone did a prayer, sacrificed some food, then began eating.
"At least I can sit wherever I want to!" I said.
"All of you are at my table, so I get to be with you by default." Nico said, kissing me. Emmett whistled.
"Gods, this is so annoying. He belongs with ME!" an annoying voice said. I was so done with drama.
"You have a problem, Mia?" I demanded to her. Everyone got silent and watched.
"Excuse you. What do you think you are doing?" she said in a high pitched voice.
"What are YOU doing? Just leave us alone!" I yelled at her. I could feel my anger building up, I really hoped I would phase, especially since I didn't bring any clothes.
"Oh my Hades, look at her! How is she even our sister? Does she even look like a girl right now? Children of Aphrodite are supposed to be beautiful, sexy, and proper. She defies each of those rules!" Mia ranted. Drew nodded. I heard Emily snicker. I took a deep breath and turned to look, no GLARE at her.
"You, don't even think about breathing. You have no right!" I said through my teeth. "And you," I turned to Mia, "You don't even know what true beauty is. You think it's all about looks?"
"Of course! Looks, means how you look, meaning with your eyes." she said, acting like the idiot she was.
"My god, how did you even become Cabin Leader?"I demanded. "You are clearly blind because the way someone looks encompasses what is INSIDE as well as outside!"
"I propose a change in leadership. I volunteer Leah to be the new Cabin Leader of the Aphrodite Cabin!" a small voice said, growing with confidence. It was Dave. Everyone, except for Drew, agreed.
"That is settled then! I present to you, Leah Clearwater, cain leader of Aphrodite cabin!" Chiron announced. Everyone cheered. Wait, for me? Wow, I wasn't used to this feeling. I looked over and saw Mr. D smiling at me, with pride. I smiled back.
"Well done my koritsi!" Mr. D said. Everyone looked shocked.
"Thank you filos." I replied. Wait, what did I say? Noone seemed surprised though. Except for the pack. The pack! "Wait, what about my pack?"
"Don't worry Leah, your life is here now!" Jacob said, encouraging my stay here. I smiled at him. Jacob, as idiotic as he used to be, hung up over Bella, has finally grown into such a mature alpha. I was proud of him.
"Thanks." I whispered to him.
Suddenly, the horn blew again.
"THE BORDERS ARE WEAK!" someone yelled, coming down. The whole camp shook. Suddenly, we all heard a loud shatter and heard many footsteps advancing towards us. Were we under attack?
"Heroes, take your stances for emergency war! Camp is under attack! Prepare yourselves and fight to protect your homes!" Chiron yelled. Mr. D looked worried.
I looked at Jacob and we nodded at each other. "Time to phase, boys!" I yelled. As I began trembling, Nico grabbed me.
"I love you more than you will ever know, Leah Clearwater. Never forget that!" before I could ask what was going on, Nico kissed me so passionately I thought I would explode. Then he ran off to fight. I phased and heard all the voices of my pack.
Ok guys, divide and conquer. Shout out if you need help. Remember, these leeches are super old and quite possibly have random powers so be aware of everything. Jacob ordered.
Gotcha boss. Seth said.
Ok, let's kick some ass! I thought, ready for battle. Wait, my cabin! What do I do?
Phase, back and give em instructions, but then we still need to fight! Jacob concluded.
I quickly phased back, and put on my clothes again.
"Leah! What do we do?" Dave asked. They all turned to me.
"Okay, so you guys know how to fight monsters right?" I asked, looking around to see the scene. We seemed to have good structure, but we needed extra defense near the cabins.
"Yeah, duh!" Drew responded.
"Okay, well I sure as hell hope so, because we need to defend the cabins. Stay there are work together!" I turned to Mia. "I trust you at least know how to lead them into battle?"
"We di function without you, you know!" she said, insultingly.
"Right.. Well I need to phase again, so have fun, and stay alive!" I ordered, leaping into the air and phasing on the fly. My practice allowed me to save my clothes on the ring tied to my arm, hidden in my fur.
I ran to the front of the battle and saw Nico surrounded. I snarled and attacked the monster hurting the reason for my existence. Nice smiled at me. Suddenly, everything slowed down, as if we were all surrounded by some syrup.
Nico's POV-
Cerberus-crap. Kronos is back? Aleady? But we destroyed him!
"Percy! What's happening?" I yelled.
"I can't tell!" he said. "Keep. Fighting."
Cease! Everyone, FREEEEZE!
"Kronos!" Percy yelled out as Hyperion and Prometheus strolled out, shaking the ground with each step.
"Oh, hey. Look, it's that smelly son of Poseidon I wanted to hurt!" Hyperion bellowed in joy.
"I wanted that one!" Prometheus yelled back.
"No, me!" Hyperion yelled and attacked Prometheus. Oh, gods...
Shut up fools! Noone gets to kill him except for me!
"Right, sorry Kronos." Prometheus spoke.
"How is he even alive?" Percy yelled out.
"Hahahahaha! Look at this fool!" Hyperion snickered. "Asking dumb questions!"
"Because of ME!" an ancient looking vampire smirked. He did a twirl with his cape.
"ARO!" all the Cullens hissed. Right! That creep who leads the Volturi.
Where is the son of Hades?
"What do you want from me?" I yelled. Annabeth gave me a worried look. Her eyes said Don't do anything irrational! Sorry Annie.
"Him! He is the one we must destroy?" Aro asked.
Yes! Do it!
"But why? He's so scrawny!" Hyperion complained.
"Idiot! Didn't you pay attention to Kronos?" Prometheus said, smacking Hyperion's head. "He has the power to control the vampires since they are dead!"
"I can do that?" I exclaimed. Wow!
You idiot! Don't tell him!
"Go Nico! Do something!" Percy yelled, fighting with the monsters around him. I looked around. We were back in normal time. Kronos must have a weak connection... I concentrated on my power and felt a familiar tug in my gut. I summoned my skeleton army. Oh dear gods. This isn't happening.
"I don't know what to do!" I yelled out to Percy, feeling helpless.
"Um, pray to your dad! You have to save us Nico! We're losing now!" he yelled back. I looked around again. My camp, my family (even though they mostly hated me or were scared of me) was losing. We were being pushed back the amount of monsters and vampires together. I saw the Cullens fighting the vampires with the wolves flanking them and helping out. Bella seemed to be protected by Emmett as she concentrated on something. Her shield. Her determination snapped me back into attention. Focus, Nico. Dad. Dad? I know you are busy but I need your help.. How do I do this? As usual, no response.
"Dad! Please!" I muttered out loud. I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate again. I felt the familiar tug, but with more force. The ground shook and swallowed a large handful of monsters, helping out our side of the fight. I heard noise behind me and in front of me. CERBERUS-CRAP!
Leah POV-
As soon as I could move again, I raced through the fights, pulling monsters and leeches off of my camp members and pack members, and the Cullens too.
Nico! I thought furoisly. Seth gave me a visual on Nico's position and I raced there. I was concentrating on something, probably on his powers. Damn, he can control the vamps? That's gotta be handy!
Nicooo! I'm coming! Oh god, what do I do! I thought frantically. I came from behind, getting the monster behind him as he fought the one in front of him with his dagger. I kept moving around, protecting my love in his own circle as he concentrated, trying to gain control.
"Aaaaah!" Nico yelled. I felt the power radiating from him. I whined in his direction. He grunted, saying he was fine. I started to channel his power again, but I could tell it wasn't easy. I could almost see the life fading out of him.
I glanced around and saw a huge wave of monsters around my brother, who was all by himself.
Seth! SETH! I though loudly, growling at the monsters. NO! I'm coming!
Leah, no! What. About. Nico. He thought, his energy weakening. I looked back at Nico. Goddammit. NO, I have to save my brother first. Then I would run back to Nico. I ripped the heads off of that ugly Jane, god she annoyed me so much with her hideous voice.
"NO! JANE!" Aro yelled. He ran towards Nico at full speed.
NO NICO! I growled and howled. I ran as quickly as I could to my imprintee. Aro was NOT going to touch him!
Nico POV-
Oh gods. Leah ran off. Calm down Nico. You can DO this! Just focus! Dad is sending his help... Right? I concentrated while trying to fight. I summoned more skeletons to protect me as I tried to control the vampires. Suddenly, I heard Aro yelling and coming straight at me.
A howl pierced the air as Leah wolf came running towards me, but there was no time. Aro was too fast. Without thinking, I made a huge crack in a circle around me, swallowing everything around me. I saw Aro fall in, screaming. Unfortunately, the howl faded as well.
"LEAH!" I screamed. Looking around for her.
Leah POV-
I was running, and then I just fell. Shit. Where am I? I saw the ground open up, aw crap, I'm falling in?
"LEAH!" I heard him scream. NO, I was NOT going to leave Nico all by himself. I had to get back up!
Jake! Seth! Quil, Embry, ANYONE! I need help! Please, I'm trapped here, and I can't get out by myself! I thought.
Leah? I'm coming! Said a familiar voice. Sam?
NO! STAY AWAY FROM ME! I shouted in my mind. I saw Sam's black form above me. He looked down, growled, then sank his teeth into my paw trying to pull me out. I howled in pain. You idiot! Are you trying to bite my paw off?
Sorry! I'm just trying to help! Leah, I can't just let you die! I'm sorry! Sam thought with utmost sincerity. Huh, maybe he did have a heart, one that wasn't as black as his fur. But that didn't make the pain go away. I quickly phased back, pulled on the shorts and shirt automatically tried to me, despite the pain and blood from Sam's bite. AS a human, I could easily jump out from the ledge. Which probably meant that Aro could too. I felt his cold hand grab my leg as he tried to come up with me
"No! Die you asshole!" I yelled as I kicked his face as hard as I could, sending him into the depths of the crack.
NOOOOOO!
Nico POV-
NO! I WILL NOT LOSE LEAH! I used all my anger to control the vampires, as I do with my skeleton army. Everywhere I looked, I was able to control the vampires with my eyes. I threw them all into my cracks simply with the power of my eyes. I saw pure red, but it was so empowering. More and more cracks appeared, and the campers all shoved the monster down the cracks. I heard the roar of Peleus, happy to devour some more monsters as well. We seemed to be doing great now!
"Stay. Away. From. Her." I heard Percy yell at Hyperion and Prometheus. I saw Annabeth on the edge of a crack, about to fall in. Her invisibility cap seemed to be missing, so I ran over to help my friends-rather, family- out.
"No! Die you asshole!" Leah yelled.
NOOOOOOO!
My heart skipped a beat. She is alright. Oh, thank the gods!
I fought Hyperion with my dagger, slicing open every inch I touched as I ran up and down his body. Percy consequently did the same with his sword.
"You helped us once before! Why are you doing this now, again?" Annabeth asked Prometheus. Smart girl, keep the enemy talking.
"Well that's only because I knew you were winning!" he protested.
"Look around you! Can't you see that's happening again?" she questioned. "Don't you want to make Zeus happy, so he lets you live normally, so you don't have to be cursed with that horrendous vulture all the time?"
"True. You make a good point, daughter of Athena!" Prometheus exclaimed, setting down his weapons
"I guess we have now won!" Percy yelled to the camp.
"Yeaaaaah!" everyone cheered.
"That shows you Kronos! Go back to Tartarus!" Clarisse yelled, from the Ares cabin.
Leah's POV-
It's over? Really? OH, the sense of relief I felt when everyone cheered. I ran around, looking for Nico through the crowds of bloody people trying to get to the infirmary and peopl just hugging and meeting their friends and family. I counted and saw all my pack members safe and sound.
"Nico?" I yelled. "NICOOO!"
"Leah!" he yelled back. I followed his voice and finally saw him. He was sanding there, weak, but with a feeble smile on his face. I smiled back as I walked towards him...
Nico's POV-
"Leah!" I yelled. I smiled and saw her walking. I was starting to fade from the adrenaline rush that got me to defeat all the vampires, but I still managed to smile at her. She smiled back and I mouthed, 'I love you.' to her. She started to say it back when suddenly, she jerked and froze. She fell over to the side, an arrow sticking out from behind her.
"LEAH!" I screamed, running towards her body. I could see the life slowly fading out from her. I cradled her head in my arms as the whole camp turned in silence to see the unthinkable.
"Sorry to break up the moment, but I am going to need her." a voice said.
Drake.
"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU! SEND YOU STRAIGHT TO THE UNDERWORLD!" I yelled, getting up. Mr. D ran over and held onto Leah, trying to put some life back into her dying body.
"Oh, no worries," Drake responded, totally calm, "That's actually where I was headed right now. I have to keep a deal with your father."
"What?" I asked, full of shock. Drake sauntered over to Leah's body.
"Did you really think I was going to let you just walk off with another boy, Leah? Come on." he said.
"Really? Are you crazy? What, in the name of Styx are you talking about?" I said, exasperated.
"Drake?" Leah gasped.
Leah's POV-
The pain that pierced into my back was surreal. I could feel it, but it didn't hurt. I could feel the poison preventing my body from healing itself, but it didn't seem to matter. I was in a haze, and I was just soo tired. I started giving into the lethargy when I heard Nico's voice.
"Really? Are you crazy? What, in the name of Styx are you talking about?"
"Drake?" I managed to gasp out. I saw him walking over to me.
"Oh, Leah.. You didn't think I would let you go again, especially after you abandoned me last time?" he said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, so confused. I just wanted to sleep. For it to be over...
"World War 2?" he questioned, "Wow, you really don't remember, do you?"
He began explaining our past to everyone, as it all came back to me.
I looked in the mirror and saw a younger, lighter, more alive and pretty version of myself. I was ready for the war. The big battle between Zeus and Poseidon, and Hades. I may have been a daughter of Aphrodite, but I was the best damn one yet!
"Hey honey!" Drake said, pecking me on the cheek as he secured his weapons into his belt. "Need help?"
"Please. I got this. Let's kick some Nazi butt!" I said, excited. Hades's son, Hitler, had cunningly created a seemingly indestructible army. Although my mother was bound to Pluto's side because of her grave obsession with having perfect blonde haired, blue eyed children, I was not going to stand up for something that was cruel, inhumane. So, I was a decoy, ready to save the defenseless victims of this war.
"What are you thinking about?" Drake asked me, taking me in his arms. I looked up at his beautiful eyes.
"Nothing!" I said, smiling. I couldn't tell him about the plan. It would be too dangerous. I could handle myself getting in trouble with Hades, but not my best friend. Sorry, mother. But this is the way it has to be. I thought to my mother. She would surely be disappointed in me. We were always expected to be gracious and pay clear attention to the orders so we can execute them with perfection and grace. I never worked well with rules, though.
"Let's go!" Drake said, taking me into a little airplane.
"Leah!" Dionysus called to me, coming out from behind vines of grapes. Of course, I had to rescue his latest lover, Eva Braun (Hitler's wife). She was a nyph, I think. Dionysus tried to steer clear of heroes, but he knew I was a good one, and we had become good friends, always confiding in each other. "Don't forget, call me if you need any help!"
"Di, calm down. I will get it done!" I charmspoke, radiating confidence. Dionysus smiled and gave me a quick hug.
"What was that about?" Drake asked, flying us out to the base near Hitler's location.
"The less you know, the better." I said, softly, touching his arm gently. My charmspeak worked perfectly, and he calmed down, not questioning me further. I had to keep Drake out of this. I knew I would get caught, though I didn't tell Di. He wouldn't have let me. But what is the point of sacrifice, if not for love? Especially in a case that would end the World War altogether.
"I love you, you know.." Drake said, softly. I smiled at him. I was going to be gone soon anyways, so I thought it best for Drake to stay in dark and not have his heart broken by the fact that we would only ever be friends. He was like my brother, who I could talk to about anything, but never anything more.
"What would I do without you?" I said, smiling, tactfully avoiding his impending question of his love being requited or not. We soon landed.
"Ready?" Drake asked, looking at me. I nodded as he landed the plane carefully. I leaped out and ran for the entrance of the bunker.
"Stay here, and make sure no one else enters, ok?" I commanded. Before I walked through the doors, he grabbed my arm.
"Lee, do you love me?" he asked. I smiled, as my eyes teared up.
"I love you Drake, please, let's just leave it at that." I pleaded. He smiled, not understanding what I truly meant.
"Who's there?" a few guards called out. I easily knocked them out, then charmspoke to them so they wouldn't remember me. I ran through the complex structure, looking for Adolf and Eva.
"Please, Adolf, I can't do this anymore! You have to stop this madness!" Eva yelled, distraught.
"I wish I could, but there is no way! I made a promise to my father that I would avenge his pride. The first war went so horribly, this cannot be allowed! Those sinners must pay!" Adolf argued back.
"Adolf? Eva?" I asked, remembering the two of them from our childhood days at camp.
"Leah? Is that really you?" Eva called out. I smiled at her, as she ran over and hugged me.
"What are you doing here?" Adolf said, looking at me with mistrust I his eyes.
"What happened to you?" I asked softly, charmspeaking. Adolf lightened up.
"I.. Promised my father... I have to avenge him.." he muttered.
"At what cost?" I asked. "You are slaughtering innocent people!"
"They aren't all innocent! Half of them are monsters in disguise! I'm doing the world a justice!"
"Adolf, you were always like this! You can't just kill innocent people, humans, in the process as well!" I chastised. He snapped out of it, hearing my irritation.
"Don't do that!" he snarled at me. "Don't you dare try and trick me with your words. I may have been impulsive, but at least I never hid my intentions!"
"Leah.." Eva said, worried for both our lives. I looked at her, realizing that she had given up. She was done trying to convince Adolf, he was too crazed to come back. She whispered to me, tears in her eyes."I can't do this anymore. I have seen death too much to live any longer with this! Tell Dionysus that I love him!"
"Eva, DON'T!" I yelled, running towards her.
"Stay away from her!" Adolf hollered, tackling me. Eva smiled weakly as she took a cyanide capsule.
"Nooooo!" Adolf and I screamed.
"Adolf. Stop!" I shrieked, as he picked up a gun and held it to his temple. "Think about what you are doing!"
"I'm doing what I should have done long ago. I'm doing what you always thought I would. I'm sorry father, I have failed you!" Adolf said, pulling the trigger. I froze, full of shock.
"NOOO!" I yelled. They were my friends! They did terrible things, yes, but we all grew up together! I can't let this happen. I burst into tears, horrified with what had just occurred. Instead of stealing away Eva for Di and leaving Adolf heartbroken so he would call of his army, they both killed themselves! My friends, just gone...
The earth trembled and Hades appeared, furiously. "YOU! YOU DID THIS! HOW DARE YOU! CHILD OF APHRODITE!"
"No, please. Don't do anything! You don't understand!" I pleaded, knowing that my fate had been sealed. Just then my mother burst into the room as well.
"Hades! You know this has been too extreme! You have to stop this madness. Adolf was already long gone! Leah was trying to help!" my mom argued.
"And instead he killed himself!" Hades yelled, mad out of his mind.
"I'm sorry, I tired!" I said weakly.
"Don't you dare speak! You will be banished to the Underw-"
"No! I will not allow it! Stop being dramatic Hades!" my mother yelled, standing up against him. "Just give her another chance!"
"Another chance, you say?Fine, then. She shall be reborn into a later time, but will be surrounded by all the misery caught here. She shall not ever find love and be fully happy. Hah! A daughter of the goddess of love, without her most important energy source, love!" Hades snickered.
"No! Leah!" my mother said, crying. I turned and saw Drake, who had climbed down and saw me on the floor, cursed by Hades.
"So now, here I am. Ready to take my Leah back to Hades, so we can finally be together forever." Drake said. "I have sorted it all out with Hades, we can finally just go and be happy, honey!"
"NO!" Nico protested, in tears.
"Drake. You were always just a brother to me. I never thought I would actually meet you again, and I didn't want to be responsible for another broken heart. I'm sorry, but I never loved you like that. You were my best friend and I needed you. But that is all." I coughed some more, but finally felt free.
"Leah.." Seth cried, coming near me. I smiled at my little brother.
"I love you too Seth, don't be stupid, and stay out of trouble, okay? And keep Jake in check when I'm not around anymore." he could just nod in response. "Tell Sue-Mom- that I love her, and that I'm sorry I wasn;t as perfect as she wanted me to be."
"Leah, don't talk like that" Seth cried. Everyone around me was in tears.
"Thank you all of you for making this life a wonderful one. Know that you are all heroes and you will always be remembered. Follow your hearts, they are always in the right place at the end of the day."
"Okay." Annabeth answered for all of them, caressing my face while trying to smile. Dionysus walked over and just gave me a long, meaningful look.
"Nico." I said in a raspy voice.
"Yes, Leah?" he asked, tearfully at my side.
"I love you more than I can ever say. Always remember that. But I'm just so, so-" my voice broke as tears welled up in my eyes, "tired. It's finally time for me to go."
"Leah, please. No, don't give up! I love you!" He said, kissing my face.
"I love you too. I guess I finally did get my happy ending, in the arms of the guy of my dreams. Goodbye, my love."
Well that was a long one! But I like the way it ended, it seemed to fit. Sorry about the intense WW2 stuff BTW, but I just thought the history was so rich so I had to use it :) Let me know what you think, I will add an epilouge soon!
