In the Underworld~
Leah's POV-
"Leah! I'm baack!" Nico said. I floated towards him, smiling at the sight of him.
"Hello my love. How are things going?" I asked.
"Same old, same old. Percy and Annabeth getting at it like rabbits, yea know. Doing newly wed stuff." he replied.
"That's good!" I responded, slightly sad to not be able to see the wedding. Well, there has to be a downside of being dead, right? Elysium was, other than that, a total paradise.
"Have you given any thought about being reborn?" he asked.
"Not sure. It seems like a good way to go, but there is no guarantee I will meet you again. You won't even know who I am! And people are born as babies, silly!" I argued. Nico smiled. "What are you not telling me?"
"I may have had a delightful chat with father dearest..." he trailed.
"And..." I prompted. He is still as dramatic as ever, I thought, rolling my eyes.
"And, he agreed to let you be reborn into your old life. Just as it was before you died!" he squealed.
"What? No.. That's not even possible! He can't take back his curse!" I said, shocked.
"But he isn't! He meant that you would die and come here to the Underworld, but come one, I think 5 years is enough time to be banished here." Nico said. "I never got a chance to enjoy a normal life with the girl of my dreams. I mean, you remember how crazy Adolf got, right?"
"Oh, dear. Did you really blackmail your father?" I asked.
"Well, I learned from the best!" he said, winking at me. He opened the gates that always separated us during our visits. "Come on!"
I looked into his eyes, smiled and reached for his hand, stepping out into the real world once again.
There we go.. Is that a better happy ending? Lots of hope and possibility for an amazing future for Leah and Nico ;0 3
