Chapter 9: Mission Accomplished; Same old Same old

A.N.: What is up guys?! It's your amazing author back with another chapter ever since so long ago. Like 3000 years or something. Well back and without further ado we will go on with the story!

Disclaimer: I do not own TWEWY, Legend of Heroes, Soul Eater, or Kingdom Hearts. They belong to their original owners. I only own this plot and any OC's.

The Shibuya kids decided to sleep at the hotel along with the Death City group since it was really late and they had already told their parents they'd be out with friends. They weren't necessarily lying, they were just not telling them that they were fighting life or death battles against Kishins before bed.

"What a great way to end my day..." Neku sighed as he collapsed on the Hotel bed.

"At least you got the job done." Kid commented. Setting up his bed to be symmetrical and even.

"You a'ight yo?" Beat asked. Simply put, guys in one section. Girls in another.

"No I'm not alright!" Kid shouted. "The pillows are 0.00625 inches off from being perfect and it's driving me mad to fix it back into place!" To the Shibusen group this was to be expected. To the Shibuya gang, it was much of a surprise.

"Can't you just fix the other pillow then?" Neku suggested.

"No no no! If I do THAT the symmetry of the whole bed will be off, requiring me to fix it all up! Gah!" Kid shouted again.

"Alright! You don't have to shout." Loewe told him.

"Who's shouting?!"

"Oh lord..." Neku sighed softly.

Meanwhile in the girls' room. Shiki and Liz were sitting on a bed chatting away at the newest trends and the Prince (Turns out Liz is another Prince follower) while Rhyme and Patty were playing 'Patty-cake' (The pun that Rhyme made for Patty). "You're really good at this!" Rhyme told Patty.

"Thank you~! I love this game a lot. Even though it's my first time." Patty replied.

"Could've fooled me." Rhyme told her.

"You guys are adorable together." Liz commented. "It's nice to see my little sister getting along with others."

"Beat would probably be happy Rhyme's getting along with other kids." Shiki said.

"So Shiki, how'd you find that stuffed cat?" Liz asked.

"Finally someone acknowledges it's neko features!" Shiki exclaimed.

"What?"

"Oh, I mean... I made him a while back." Shiki explained holding her doll, "It's been by my side since."

"Wow. So you were able to fight with that?"

"Yup. Pretty cool right?"

"Very."

"Hey, where's Maka and Tsubaki?" Shiki asked, "They said they were going down the hall for something but this is too long. I'm getting a little worried." She said.

"Probably trying to call Kevin. He sort of disappeared after that silver-haired guy came through." Liz told her.

"With what? This thing...?" Shiki pulled out her Enigma-II (Now I know the proper name for those. But still calling them Enigma's) "Can this really call people?"

"It works like a radio Shiki." Rhyme said. "As long as you're in range of the signal you can. I figured out that Kevin set up hot-spots in Shibuya for our convenience."

"How'd you figure all that out?" Liz asked.

"I was with Kevin while you guys were hunting down criminals." Rhyme told her.

"Oh. That makes sense." Shiki said, "Things got pretty hectic for us but we pulled through."

All the while Maka and Tsubaki were in the hallway of their Hotel room. Maka pressed the buttons on her Enigma and she tried calling him once more. It rang once... twice... It just kept ringing. Maka sighed in defeat as she put her Enigma away.

"Maka, don't give up!" Tsubaki said. "There's gotta be a way we can reach him..." Tsubaki drifted off into her thoughts for a moment, thinking and trying to remember any shred of advice that could help.

"Lord Death!" Maka suddenly exclaimed. "He's friends with Kevin, maybe he can get a hold of him! C'mon, there's a mirror in the bathroom!" Without warning, Maka grabbed Tsubaki's wrist and ran back into their room, and rushed passed the other 4 girls sharing a room. Once inside the bathroom, Maka did her best to fog up the mirror. "42-42-564. Enter this number if you ever want to knock on Death's door..."

The mirror began to pulsate like water for a moment until it went all white. "Lord Death. Hello?" Maka asked.

"Why yes? Hello Maka!" Lord Death said in his usual goofy voice.

"Lord Death, do you know where your friend Kevin went? We can't find him after today and I can't get a hold of him either." Maka explained.

"He's currently in the middle of important business. I'm afraid you'll have to wait." Lord Death said with a bit of a sigh.

"Alright. Thank you."

"So how's your extended trip in Shibuya going?" Lord Death asked a bit curious himself.

"Going great. We've managed to stop two Kishin eggs today!" Maka said.

"Fantastic~! Keep up the good work. I'm going to have to let you go now Maka, I've got another call."

"OK goodbye." She said and then the mirror returned to normal.

A.N.: What could Kevin possibly be doing? Who was calling Lord Death? What will happen next? All very excellent questions to possibly be answered another time. I'd like to apologize for not updating on this story like all the others. Don't worry, the series is still going on for both arcs.
