Chapter 43-Make It Count

Laura's POV: Ross had taken me to an outdoor movie. He wanted to see a romantic movie. He's a sucker for romance. We sit down on the grass. The night is so peaceful. The stars shine so bright. Then the movie starts starts. We're watching the Titanic. I dig my hand in the bowl of popcorn. Buttery. The movie is so romantic. I dig my hand in the popcorn again but it was the same time Ross did too. Our hands brush against each other. My cheeks heat up. I pull my hand back.

Laura: S-sorry.

Laura's POV: He chuckles. Then yawns while throwing his hands up then putting them down around my waist. I tense up. Then slowly get used to it and lay my head on his chest. Perfect...

Laura: Best. Movie. Ever!

Ross: I knew you would like it.

Laura: Like it? I love it!

Ross: Great. Now lets go save a life.

Laura: What?

Ross: Save a life. Look.

Laura's POV: He takes out my list from his pocket and shows me it. Oh. It is on the list.

Laura: OK? How am i supposed to save a life? Am i just gonna randomly see a person in trouble and save them?

Ross: Yeah.

Laura: That's not gonna work.

Ross: Hmm... AHHHH!

Laura's POV: Ross screams and falls down on the floor. I watch his stupidity.

Ross: OWW!

Laura: OH! Was i supposed to catch you?

Laura's POV: He glares at me. Then gets back up. He dusts himself off. He grabs my hand and we walk somewhere.

Laura: Where are we going?

Ross: *claps* To the animal shelter!

Laura's POV: I look at him weirdly.

Ross: You're supposed to say where are we going again.

Laura: What?

Ross: You would make a bad Dora.

Laura: What are you talking abou- OH! Wow. Really Ross?

Ross: Yeah.

Laura: But why are we going to the animal shelter?

Ross: *smirks* To save a life...

Laura: OH. MY. GOD! It's so CUTE!

Ross: Whoa there. Calm yourself.

Laura: Sorry. But it's just so cute.

Ross: Then we'll take it.

Laura: Are you sure?

Ross: Yeah.

Laura: THANK YOU!

Laura's POV: I hug him tight. He is getting me a cute puppy! The puppy is the cutest thing in this whole wide world. The puppy was a little cute husky. It's eyes were just amazing! After we went through the papers. We would be getting him tomorrow. We get out of the animal shelter. I have a big smile on my face. I can't believe Im getting a puppy. Ross is so nice! Soon, i remember what will happen in 6 days. My smile fades. I decide not to tell Ross. He probably forgot how many days or weeks left. I don't want him to worry. Let's make these days count...
