World 7: An Unexpected Event
As a finale to the games Pocahontas and John Smith devised the toughest challenge yet. All through the forest wooden carvings of a raccoon, a hummingbird and a dog had been hidden. The first person who could find one of each and return to Pocahontas' village would be the winner. The challenge was difficult especially given the size of the forest. Making things even more of a challenge was the fact that there were no teams, or even pairs. Each prince or princess was on their own. For one princess running through the forest was getting boring. Anna had gotten tired of looking for any wooden trinkets especially after her sister decided to do things on her own. As she wandered aimlessly Anna came to a clearing and found Cinderella and Tiana sitting and talking quietly.
"Are you guys board too?" Anna asked.
"That's not a very good attitude Anna," Cinderella told her.
"Yeah I know. It's just that everyone is so serious about this, its the last game and I get that but..."
"It's no fun because the task is impossible, and everyone is acting way to serious bout this." Anna finished.
"Yup. Who is winning anyway?" Anna said sitting down.
"That doesn't matter. One we are guests of Pocahontas' and John Smith's. Two this pouting doesn't do any good, and three as impossible as things seem we can't give up," Cinderella told them.
"Well you know what? She is right. So what should we do Cinderella?" Tiana asked jumping to her feet.
"I don't know, just let me know if you find anything." Cinderella said leaning back against a tree.
"Oh I see, you gave up too but didn't want to admit it like us." Anna said nudging Cinderella.
"It's not that, just look at this place. The sights, the sounds, all of it. It is a wonderful world of beauty. Just feel that wind, doesn't it feel amazing?"
"It does," Anna said as the wind blew through her hair.
"It also smells, like fire." Tiana added.
"What?" Anna and Cinderella said together.
The looked around and finally Anna decided to climb a tree to look around. Nearby where they sat a fire had broken out and was spreading quickly.
"Umm, we have to go now. Right now!" Anna said.
So they ran, but the fire kept up. It followed in their wake. The princesses jumped and avoided fallen trees and uneven ground as the escaped the fire that got closer to them at each moment. Eventually they could feel the heat on their backs, and still they ran. They weren't alone as various forest animals also were escaping to safety, at least most of them. In a tree a baby bird, still to young to fly from its nest, chirped for help as the tree it called home caught on fire. Cinderella stopped immediately when she heard the chirping.
"Quick lift me up, I have to save that poor little bird."
Anna and Tiana did as she asked. As Cinderella reached for the birds nest the fire lashed out at her hand burning it. Cinderella immediately removed her hand. But still the bird cried for help, so she tried again to save it. Ignoring the pain Cinderella lifted her hand back up to the heat and begged the little bird to trust her. It did and hopped into her palm. The others lowered her back to the ground and together the four of them continued to escape. It didn't take them long to come to a large tree with a stuborn raccoon who refused to leave his home. Various birds and other animals tried to get it to leave but it fought them off and stayed. Seeing the old raccoon fight for his home Anna had to act.
"Hi mister raccoon, sorry to interrupt, but you really need t leave.
The raccoon laid down and turned away from her. It waved its paw telling her to leave him.
"Okay little forest critter but don't you hear that? Don't you feel that? There is a giant blaze behind us. I mean, look."
Anna took hold of the raccoon and forced him too see the blaze coming. It jumped from her hands back into its whole in the tree trunk refusing to go.
"Okay what is so special about this tree?" Anna said looking in. Than she saw it. The entire trunk hallowed out and filled with berries and other foods. "Well I am going to hate this."
Moments later the three princess were running again. Cinderella gently held the baby bird while Anna handled the gluttonous raccoon, searching Anna's pockets for the food that Anna was carrying.
"Pocahontas was right, these things never stop eating," Anna said in amazement.
As they continued they three came across another animal in need. It had become trapped during the fire, at the moment it hid in shallow puddle that was drying up very quickly. True to her nature Tiana rushed over and save the little...
"Frog, it just figures," Tiana said rolling her eyes, "no offense little green guy but this is a little to close to home for me. Cinderella switch with me."
"Tiana this poor bird is scarred, I wouldn't feel right about passing it off."
"Anna what about-" Tiana stopped when she saw Anna chasing the raccoon out of her pockets for more food. When it couldn't find any it began to scold Anna.
"Never mind, I'll hold the frog."
They all continued running until finally they could run no more. To exhausted to continue the fire surrounded them. They could hear the fire burning as the trees snapped and fell over. The air was hot and dark as the smoke gathered. They fire was so bad they could even taste the ashes from the burning forest all around them. As the flames reached out Cinderella stepped forward and prepared herself to meet,
"Alicia?" Cinderella said with a gasp.
"Yeah, I've been trying to stop the fire as best we can. Elsa is trying to extinguish the fire while I try to control it. Lets get you all out of this heat."
Alicia took them to Pocahontas who rushed over and hugged them.
"Are we the last?" Alicia asked.
Pocahontas nodded. "Okay lets get this fire put out.
Alicia and Elsa used there powers to extinguish the fires while everyone else supported.
"Well I suppose that puts a damper on the contest," John Smith said.
"Oh right that reminds me, Pocahontas we found this little bird stuck in a nest as we escaped the fire. Do you perhaps know where its parents are?" Cinderella asked revealing the bird.
"Cinderella you're burned!" Rapunzel said as she rushed over to her.
Meanwhile a family of birds arrived and reconnected with their lost baby. Each bird thanked Cinderella before they all, along with the little baby, flew off. Tiana also showed her saved animal. The frog eagerly hopped over to its mate that had come to Pocahontas' village to escape the blaze. The two were reunited and Tiana sighed happily.
"Excellent work Tiana," Naveen said as he gave her a kiss.
"Thank you. Naveen can I ask you something?"
"Of course my darling, what is it?"
"Is it weird that the frogs look kind of like us as frogs?"
"Yes, yes that is very weird. Lets back away from them. Slowly."
As they did Anna stepped forward to Pocahontas and showed her the disgruntled raccoon she carried.
"Does this little guy have anyone? Anyone at all? People? Animals? Anyone?" she said exhausted.
"It's okay Anna, that ones kind of a loner." Pocahontas assured her.
"I noticed. Is there somewhere I can clean my wounds?"
Pocahontas stood up with a smile."Well I have seen enough, the winners are Cinderella, Tiana and Anna. For their bravery, compassion and kindness they have earned this victory."
"Well that's that than. The last of the games." Alex said sadly.
"It was fun, visiting each others worlds. But Alex and I didn't get to host anything. Anna didn't get a chance to host. She judged but didn't host." Alicia continued.
"Alicia, is this your way of saying you want to continue playing these games?" Pocahontas asked.
"Maybe not continuing, because some people have started keeping score... which is bad." Alicia said looking at Alex. "But maybe we could just have fun, tell stories, go on adventures. What do you all say?"
They all cheered in agreement.
"So who is next? Who wants to hold an event?" Aurora asked.
"Oh I have some ideas..." Anna said with an evil look in her eyes.
"Oh boy, I am going to take care of this. Everybody okay here?" Kristoff said pulling Anna away.
"Hmm, you know if we are ending this and starting again or what ever I have to be honest, I haven't really been keeping score. I wonder who won?
"That's a fair question, I bet Alex knows." Jasmine responded.
"Achoo." Snow White sneezed. "Oh, please excuse me."
