"Check," Ryse said moving her knight into position as Kevin huffed at her from across the table. She smirked at him, this would be a first for her, beating him at chess, and she was going to enjoy it.

She had woken up from her nap to find that Kevin had been the only one around. When she asked where everyone was, he had informed her that the Doctor, Clara and her mom took the TARDIS to go check something and that her uncles and dad were not back yet. To occupy himself, he had been looking over the angel tablet again, now using the loose translation the Doctor had given him from his own personal library. When Ryse had found him, his hair had been up in all directions like he had run his hands through it more than necessary. Ryse had decided he needed to chill and relax a little so she had suggested a game of chess, which she had learned from him when she was younger. He was still being twitchy, but the distraction seemed to help at least.

Ryse waited in anticipation. There was really only one move he could do, which set her up for checkmate upon her next move. Unfortunately, before he could make it, the door to the bunker opened, pulling both of their attentions to the entrance of her uncles. Ryse waited for her dad to follow them down the steps and grew confused when he didn't. She looked at her uncle Dean who shook his head, eyes flashing to Sam and back. She clenched her jaw, guessing what had happened in her absence.

When Dean had went to go take his pack to his room, Ryse got up and followed him. He waited for her to close the door, "I had no choice kid."

"There's always a choice Uncle Dean, you just chose the wrong one," Ryse said as she leaned back against the wall and crossed her arms. "What happened?

"Hey, don't think you can lecture me. Who's the adult here anyway?" Dean growled as he sat down on his bed.

"I'm not lecturing you, I'm just trying to figure out how you can leave one of your best friends who's practically family, alone and in a world that he's neither used to being in nor can protect himself," Ryse sighed, frustrated. "Especially for everything he's done for you over the years."

"Whoa, hold off. Don't even try with the guilt trip kid."

"It's not trying if it works," Ryse smirked.

Dean glared at her, "Do you have you make that face? You look like your mother."

"And if I was my mother right now, you would probably be gasping for breath up against that wall over there," Ryse said nodding towards the wall behind him. "Now what happened?"

"First, tell me what you know. What stories have we told you about now?"

"I'm on the same page as you Uncle Dean," Ryse shrugged. "None of you have told me anything about now, probably because of the fact I'm here and that would mess up the whole time-paradox-thingy."

Dean huffed, "Apparently there's two factions duking it out. The bikers were part of the internet guy's followers and apparently were killed by a bunch of church singing ladies."

"Ok, and how did that lead to leaving my dad on his own?"

"Well," Dean said rubbing his face, "There being two factions of angels, Zeke feels like Cas hanging around is only going to attract attention that for some reason he doesn't want." Ryse gave him a confused look. "Yea, don't ask me. He wouldn't tell me why it is he doesn't want angels up his ass."

"That doesn't smell right," Ryse said.

"Tell me about it."

"I feel like there's something else going on that someone's not telling us and I'm not liking it too much," Ryse grumbled.

"Right there with ya," Dean sighed. "Now where's everyone else? I thought for sure you all would have been gone by now."

Ryse shrugged, "Kevin said the Doctor, Clara and mom went to go check something, not sure what they were checking, but that they'd be back. Do you at least know where dad is?"

"Sort of," Dean sighed. "He was hanging back in that town for a bit to do some of his own investigating. I told him to call if he has problems."

"There's no one here," Meg said looking around.

"Sure there is," the Doctor said pointing over at the soul sitting on a bench watching the butterflies.

"I meant," Meg sighed, "There's no angels here."

"Well there wouldn't be, would there?" Clara asked. "Dean said that all the angels were kicked out of heaven because of that Metatron person."

"Yea, well, he ain't here either," Meg said looking around.

"What do you mean?" the Doctor asked.

"I mean, I can feel when they're about, and there's no one here," Meg said turning to face them. "I say we head back. Who knows when he's going to pop back."

"Hold up," the Doctor said as he took out his screwdriver and pressed a button. "I still want to check this place out. What do you know about it?"

"Hardly anything," Meg sighed. "Besides it's too goody-goody for the likes of me. Cas would know more about it."

"Well he's reluctant to tell me anything," the Doctor sighed. "Oh well. Next up, how about we go to this hell place?"

Meg sighed, "Sure whatever…"

"So let me get this straight, there's footnotes now?" Dean asked as Kevin shuffled through his notes on the table.

"Not exactly," Kevin said. Ryse was sitting at the table watching the two of them. "It's like a hidden message. Like Metatron was trying to hide something in the writing."

"Ok, and what does this say exactly?"

"That there's no reversal spell for opening the gates back up," Kevin sighed.

"Great, friggin' great," Dean grumbled as Sam came back into the room. "Please tell me you come bringing good news."

"There was another attack," Sam said tossing a paper down onto the table.

"Wonderful," Dean said throwing himself into a chair opposite Ryse. "Where?"

"Utah," Sam answered. "Seems like the one faction was taking revenge on the other faction for killing off some of their members."

"Great and this is what we get to deal with. A gang war between angels...Kevin, are you sure it said there's no reversal spell?" Dean sighed as he rubbed his face.

"I'll keep looking," Kevin said sitting back down and starting to go over his notes again. Sam and Dean both looked over at Ryse in the meantime who, after noticing the looks she was getting started to grow uncomfortable. She let out a breath, "I told you, I don't know anything. What do I have to do, say it in Latin? I can do that. Nescio quid."

"Kid, are you sure-"

"For the last time," Ryes said growing frustrated. "I don't know. Nescio! Ich weiss nich. Je ne sais pas. If you need me too, I can say it a few other languages." Dean narrowed his eyes at her in an impatient glare. "Look, it's not like my parents take me vacationing to these places. I'm just a kid, how am I supposed to know everything about everything especially when none of you talk about it in the first place."

"Ok, ok," Sam said holding up a hand, "Just chill. We'll stop asking."

Dean looked over at Kevin, "That leaves you Kev."

"Yea, I know," Kevin sighed.

"Hurrying would be nice. We seem to be running short on time here."

"Rushing me isn't going to get it done any faster."

"Well that was fun," the Doctor said as he slammed the TARDIS door shut and locked it before hurrying back up to the console.

"I told you that it was probably going to be a mess down here and that no one was going to be happy to see me," Meg chuckled. "You still insisted you needed readings."

"Yes well, when one has a theory to prove, one does what one must in the name of research."

"And when the theory tries to rip your hearts out?" Clara asked as Meg continued to laugh at him.

"Speed bumps," was the Doctor's response.

"Yea well, those speed bumps, have some pretty neat ways of torturing what they want out of you," Meg chuckled. "Now, are we going back yet?"

"Almost, one more stop."

"Purgatory probably isn't going to be any nicer. There's more of a variety of monsters there," Meg sighed leaning back against the railing. "Not that anything's comparitively worse than a demon, I mean at least we have standards, but not everything is as nice as us either, especially the black gooey kind. They have quite a mouthful of teeth to eat you with."

"Well they sound simply charming," the Doctor said, sarcasm dripping in his voice. "I'd love to know who had the twisted ideas for some of the things here..."
