~Chapter Thirty-Five~

~Kendall's POV~

After Jade has stormed off the bus, I just sat there. I couldn't believe she had hit me. I've seen her lose her temper plenty of times before, but she's never hit me before.

I had no idea of how long I had sat there when Alexa climbed onto the bus.

At first she didn't say anything to me, she just grabbed Jade's purse. Before she left the living area for the front of the bus, she stopped and looked at me.

"I don't know what you did to Jade, but she's majorly pissed."

"I was stupid."

"That I could tell. She was so pissed she punched a wall."

"Is she okay?" I looked at her alarmed.

"The wall won. Alex and I are taking her to the ER."

I just nodded. I'm so glad they were talking care of it and her.

"Whatever you did, you need to figure out how to fix it and fast."

"Thank you Alexa."

"Don't thank me, Kendall. I'm pissed at you too."

With that she walked off the bus.

I stood up and went to look out the window. I was just in time to see Alexa climb in the back seat of a SUV. As soon as she was in, the driver had taken off.

I headed inside to find Gracie to make sure she was okay. I found her in the green room sitting with Logan.

She didn't even look at me as I walked into the room. I knew she was mad at me. Logan said something to her and then walked over to me.

"She's upset and confused." He sighed. "Just give her time, she will come around."

"Who will watch her while we are on stage?"

"Mark said he would." I nodded. "And here he is."

When Gracie saw Mark she got up and walked over to us.

"I still love you Daddy, but I'm mad at you right now." She stepped closer to me. I picked her up and hugged her. She kissed my cheek and I set her down. "That's your good luck kiss."

"Thank you, Princess."

She just nodded and walked over to Mark with Fluffy Marshmallow right behind her.

"Let's go get ready for the show." He slapped me on the back.

I just nodded and followed behind him.

Thank God I didn't see Ryan as we walked to our dressing area. I really didn't want to see anyone, but I would put a smile on my face and pretend I was happy. That was the only way I was going to make it through the day.

~Gracie's POV~

I was sitting back stage watching Daddy and the Uncle's do their sound check. I really didn't want to, but I still wanted to support them at the same time.

I was worried about Mommy. Logie didn't tell me everything, but he told me enough to know Daddy and Mommy got into a fight. I hated when they fought.

Really all Mommy had to do was get rid of Ryan and all their problems would go away. It was so much easier when Aunt Cassie was opening for Daddy.

"Gracie, where's your Mommy?"

"Not here." I didn't even look at Ryan.

Mommy had told me that even though I didn't like her, I had to be nice to her.

"Well do you know where she is?"

"Not here." I turned and looked at her.

She stepped closer to me and Fluffy Marshmallow started to growl at her.

"Is there a problem here?" Mark walked back over to us.

"No, no problem." Ryan smiled sweetly at Mark.

"It's time to walk Fluffy Marshmallow, Miss. Gracie."

"Okay." I handed him the leash and then stood up.

Neither said anything until we were outside.

"You okay Miss. Gracie?"

"I don't know."

"Wanna know a secret?"

"Sure." I looked up at him.

"I can't stand her either."

I giggled.

"I wish your Mommy would get rid of her."

"I do too. She's coming between my Mommy and Daddy and I can't have them apart again."

"Whatever you need, I will help."

"Thanks Mark."

"No problem Miss Gracie."

I smiled at him and then went back to playing with Fluffy Marshmallow.

"It looks like it's gonna rain, do you want to go back inside?"

"Can we just hang out on the bus til Mommy gets back?"

"Of course."

We walked over to the bus and climbed up. I took off Fluffy Marshmallow's leash and hung it by the door where Mommy wanted me to put it. Our bus wasn't really messy, but there were something's out of order, so I just started picking up. Make Mommy's life easier when she got back.

"How old are you Miss. Gracie?"

"7, how old are you?"

"30." He laughed and sat on the couch.

I just nodded and closed Mommy's lap top and then took it over and put it on the table so I could plug it in.

"You don't act like most 7 year olds I know."

"Daddy says that all the time." I shrugged. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

"Two of each, I'm the youngest."

"I want siblings."

"You Mom and Dad are still young, it will happen sooner or later."

"They said they were trying."

"I know it is hard waiting, but it will happen."

I just nodded and climbed onto the couch next to him. Fluffy Marshmallow jumped up and put her head in my lap.

"Mommy says she can't carry the baby in her belly, so someone else has to do it for her."

"That happens sometimes."

"My real Dad made it happen." I ran my fingers through Fluffy Marshmallow's fur. "I saw it all. I was hiding in the closet. I know I shouldn't have gotten out of bed, but I was so thirsty and I didn't want to bother Mommy."

"I'm sorry Miss. Gracie, no child should see something like that."

"Don't tell Mommy, she doesn't know I was there."

"Why didn't you ever tell her?"

"Because it would break her heart and Mommy's had enough pain."

"For someone so young, you are so wise."

"Is it bad that I'm glad he's dead?"

"Who?"

"My read Dad? I know I should love him, but I just can't. He hurt my Mommy." I looked up at Mark. "Even though he can't hurt us anymore, I can't help but hate him."

"Come here." He pulled me into his arms and hugged me.

I just let myself cry. I hated feeling weak, but Mommy says everyone needs to cry every once and awhile.

~Jade's POV~

By the time we got back it was almost halfway through the boys set and I just wanted to go lie down and be in pain. Everyone from the doctors to Alexa wanted me to take my pain meds, but there was no way I was going to do that. Only Alex seemed to be on my side, but then again, he agreed with pretty much everything I said.

"Let me help you to your bus." Alex opened the back door for me.

"No, go check in with your sister."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

What I really wanted to tell him is to leave me the fuck alone, but he was just trying to help. But he was really starting to piss me off.

"IF you're sure." I just nodded. He looked sad, but he went to go find his sister.

"Okay, let's get you in bed." Alexa smiled at me.

"Thanks."

"Anything for my girl." She grinned at me.

I rolled my eyes as we started walking over to my bus.

The first thing I noticed when I climbed on the bus was that Gracie was fast asleep in Mark's lap. It brought a smile to my face. I'm glad she felt so comfortable around him.

"That is so cute." Alexa gushed.

"I know." I smiled at her.

"Hey Boss Lady, when did you get back?"

"Just now. How was she?"

"Good, we watched sound check, she had a run in with Ryan and then we came out here."

"What did that bitch do?"

"Nothing, I stepped in before she got to close."

"Thank you for watching her for me."

"No problem. She's an angel."

"She can be when she wants to be." I laughed.

"Do you want me to put her in bed?"

"No, just lie her down on the couch. I'm sure her Uncle's will be in to say goodnight."

He stood up and then laid her down on the couch.

"Let me know if you need anything."

"I will."

He nodded and walked off the bus.

"Do you want me to stay?"

"It's up to you, I'm not going to be good company tonight."

"Yeah, but I think you need a friend."

"Thanks Lex."

"Not a problem Jade."

It was so nice having a friend my age. Alexa was great, I could really see why Carlos was so in love with her. I was pretty sure I would go crazy this tour without her, even more so now that Kendall and I were fighting.

Ugh, Kendall. I had no idea what I wanted to do where he was concerned. I was so hurt that he threw that in my face. I never told him, because it wasn't a problem anymore and I had moved past it. If I had been anyone other him, I would have killed them.

He was the only one who could ever hurt me like that and I would forgive them in a heartbeat.

I don't even think he realizes how much control he has over me. I trusted him, but after this, I'm not sure if I can ever really trust him again.
