Before I begin my story, a little news to share with you. On Saturday, July 12, 2014, I went to a hair transplant doctor to help fix my little balding issue. I had this issue since my mid twenties and I'm starting to look like someone in my forties or fifties. Since Rogaine had proven to be less effective and the powder for my hair is temporary, my only option is a hair transplant. Now it wasn't a serious surgery, they just took a strip of hair from the back of my head and transferred it to the front. Wish they would've added more in the back, but I can't complain. Maybe in the near future I can finish the rest, but until then, it is what it is. Now I had some anesthesia from the procedure to help numb the back of my head and I've been taking some vitamins and other remedies to help me heal. So there's a chance that I might feel a little woozy during my writing. So allow me to apologize in advance for what I wrote. Wish me luck on my recovery.
Okay, the moment I started to write this story, I had seen Transformers: Age of Extinction. Now just to be clear, it was an okay movie. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad, it was just somewhere down the middle. It had some cool action sequences, Mark Wallburg makes a great character compared to Shea Leboufe's teen character in trying to get laid, having a bit of a family issue story is a little better then that of the cheesy romantic comedy we had to watch throughout all three movies, and the character designs seem a little better then that of the pervious movies (Though they still look a little the same on some aspects.) And although I want to spoil this movie to let you know how it happened, I think I'll save it until you see yourself. Though by the time I posted this up, I'm certain you missed it or have already seen the movie. Still, I feel a little uncomfortable on some occasions, mainly the part where the humans, mostly the human military, becomes the enemy of the Autobots, while the Autobots become fugitives and are being hunted down, killed off, and turned into knock off versions of themselves. I find it a little awkward to me. But it did fix one problem. At least we now get to see Autobots fighting and are a center of attention unlike the last three movies, where the military and their bland Call of Duty characters become the main stay and the Autobot/Decepticon fight was pretty much backgrounds and have become sidekicks to the humans. And yes, even though the Dinobots made a small appearance, they were pretty badass. So like I said before, it's okay. I did a review for that on my youtube channel too. Back in the last chapter, it seems to be strong as always. Got myself twenty reviews of both logged in users and guests and the hit counter is at almost 1,350. Still strong as ever. Still debating whether to do the next episode or an extra about the invasion. Tell me what you want me to do cause I'm at the crosswords. Also, I updated this chapter when I'm going to a family vacation at this time. So allow me to say in advance that I'm sorry for the misspelled words and grammar errors. I hope that FictionFan can fix that as I do some editing. Now that I got all that out of the way, let's continue with the epic final battle, where the Autobots take on Predaking. Will they be able to succeed? Will they escape? Will they succumb to the Con's latest weapon? This is the epic conclusion to this thrilling episode. You can't miss out on this!
Chapter Notes
Now Predaking would make his official appearance in this story. I've been leaving him in the dark since chapter three and didn't give him an actual shine in the spotlight. Now that he has officially arrived in the scene, I'm going to give him a serious fight with Team Prime. Also, I had to watch the third episode of Beast Hunters to get an idea on how this dragon does his thing. I swear, I never watched it since I posted up the third chapter. Now that I'm done watching it, I can seriously do some work with Predaking other then making it mysterious secluded. Let me know what you think of it. I also added a bit of a surprise near the end, which I'm not going to reveal until you read it. I'm pretty sure some people figured it out by now, giving that I've added a bit of hints from the two episodes. But give it a good read and you'll be in for a treat.

Chapter Fifteen: Destiny
There is an old saying within the Autobot Armada, that once you join the cause you cannot show fear to your enemies. That's the mantra that Autobots kept for so long. Since then, the Autobots of past and present show no fear to the Decepticons and never backed down. But now, their mantra went out the window and Team Prime is feared for their lives. But it's not of the Decepticons or their leader; it is something much, much worse. Hovering over them is a huge metallic dragon called Predaking with its wings spread out and was beginning the attack. Its center started to glow as it moved up its throat, the moment it went to its mouth, the dragon took a deep breath fired a huge ball of flames right at the team. The Autobots had little time to react as the blast moved so fast and hit the floor so hard that the blast caught them and pushed them back to the wall, hitting it on impact. The group groaned and didn't expect any of that coming. Regaining their ground, Arcee looked up to see the creature flying to them. Without hesitation, she armed her blasters and told the others to do the same.
Arcee: "Hit that thing with everything you got! We can't let it near Optimus!"
Quickly, everyone got their blasters ready and fired them right at the beast. Few of the hits got it, but the armor was super tough and the shots did nothing but graze him completely. Feeling overwhelmed, it spread its wings and flew around with grace and agility. As the fight was going on, Megatron and the rest of the Cons looked on and were impressed by that first strike.
Megatron: "Magnificent… Simply magnificent…"
Shockwave approached the leader and was pleased at what he said.
Shockwave: "Thank you my liege. I could tell that you would be impressed by Predaking's performance."
Megatron looked on at the battle and was still pleased.
Megatron: "I'm more then impressed Shockwave. I'm truly amazed by your latest creation. Tell me, how is Predaking's far different from that of my soldiers?"
Shockwave turned to Megs and explained about that.
Shockwave: "Predaking is more then just a simple creature, it is the ultimate weapon as promised. The wingspan on the creature will give it sheer agility in avoiding any shots from the Autobots, as already demonstrated. It's armor is 80% tougher then that of a regular Cybertronian solider, which makes it almost invulnerable. All the shots the Autobots are using proven to be little effect on my creation. Not even a bomb can slow it down. It's claws and teeth are sharp enough to penetrate the toughest of armor and would mortally wound any bot that stands in its way. Its tail has enough power to knock a soldier off his or hers feet and its spikes would deliver enough scratches for a serious punishment. And its highly powerful fireballs will destroy everything in its path. In fact, if the flames engulf any enemy, it will melt them into nothing but liquid metal. In short, Predaking is the perfect weapon against the Autobots."
Megatron heard all of this and was completely delighted by the news.
Megatron: "Excellent… With a weapon such as this, the Autobots will never win."
Starscream though looked on and finds it to be a little displeasing.
Starscream: "I don't know Lord Megatron. As far as I'm concerned, this Predacon is still too dangerous to handle."
The science officer looks to him and responded by his words.
Shockwave: "Still nervous about its presence Starscream? Rest assure, as long as Megatron controls it, it won't harm any Decepticon, even you."
But the warlord looked to him and had a slight smirk on his face.
Megatron: "Unless I see fit."
Scream turned in surprise and nervously laughed, worried if Megatron ordered his new pet in destroying him as well. Megatron then looked back to the battle just to see the Autobots end.
Megatron: "As much as I appreciate what you've done Shockwave, I want to see the full extent of this creature's might. And with the Autobots trapped, there won't be any way for them to survive…"
Shockwave nodded as he and the others continued to watch the battle from below.
Shockwave: "But of course master. I promise you that Predaking will not fail."
Back on the ground, the team continued to fire on the metallic dragon with all the blaster fire they had. But in the air, Predaking continued to fly around, avoiding all of the shots from the Autobots. Bumblebee continued to shoot and was getting extremely annoyed.
Bumblebee: (Slagging thing is moving too fast! We can't even get a shot out of it!)
Smokescreen nodded and understood what he meant.
Smokescreen: "You can say that again Bee. This creature is moving too fast! And even if we hit him, our projectiles couldn't even make a ding."
Arcee has had it with this thing too, but continued to fire.
Arcee: "Whatever this creature is, it certainly wants us out of the picture. But we have to hold the line until we find a way in escaping Darkmount!"
Quickly, the group kept firing as the dragon like beast continued to avoid them all. Thinking it had it with them, Predaking stopped flying and its center charged up, transferring to its mouth to launch another fireball. The group saw that as the femme warned them to leave.
Arcee: "INCOMING!"
Quickly, the group got away as fast as they could as the flames hit around them. As it crashed, the group flew away from the blast while Ratchet, Altra, and Optimus were pushed back. During the blast, Sari, Sam, and Vince were still in the tubes as Bulkhead picked them up and carried them away from the battle. As the blast happened, he too was pushed off as the Wrecker let go of the human teens unexpectedly. The three landed on the ground as the glass on the capsules shattered on impact. None of them were hurt, but they had a few cuts from the sharp glass. Arcee turned to the sound of the shattered glass and saw the humans as they were recovering from the fall. But then, she looked back to see the Predacon seeing them as well and swooped down after them. Fearing for their livelihood, she turned to the recruits and told them to save them.
Arcee: "Jack, the kids!"
Rodimus turned to see the three prone and out in the open and he, Raf, and Miko, decided to save them.
Jack/Rodimus: "On it!"
The three transformed into their respective vehicle modes and sped straight towards them. Meanwhile, the three teens got up and was a little frazzled by the drop and crash. Vince groaned and rubbed the back of his head, feeling a little soar from the fall.
Vince: "Ow… Man, that hurt… Didn't think a fall like that could be that dangerous."
Sari looked to him while rubbing the bruise on her arm.
Sari: "Welcome to their world. We've certainly had the moment we met them."
Just as they were recovering, Sam looked up and spotted Predaking flying down to them. He pointed to it and told them to run.
Sam Witwicky: "Um, guys? I think we should worry less about our injuries and worry more about that!"
Both teens turned to where he was pointing at and saw the dragon heading towards them. Fear immediately over took them as Sari told them to go.
Sari: "RUN!"
The three then ran for their lives as the Predacon went after them. Unfortunately, the metallic monster flew faster then them as they were getting near the three, ready to get the first taste of human blood. Before it could strike though, an electrical blast came from the side and shocked it temporarily. The humans turned to the temporarily wounded creature and saw Rodimus, Firewall, and Kaosu approaching them in blinding speed. The moment the reached them, they stopped on opened the passenger side door in front of them.
Jack/Rodimus: "Get in!"
The three nodded as Vince got into the Hummer H2, Sam went in the Scion XP, and Sari going into the McLaren. Quickly, the group closed the doors and they made a quick getaway. However, the Predaking regained its conscious as it looked on to see the three cars getting away from it. So it flew after them and was ready to cook them. The three recruits continued to drive as Raf checked his review mirror to see the dragon bot is still flying after them.
Raf/Firewall: "It's still following us!"
Jack checks too and noticed that the creature was charging up for another fire blast.
Jack/Rodimus: "I could see that Raf, and it looks like it's ready to attack. Hang on!"
Quickly, he turned the steering wheel to avoid the attack while Predaking fired a fire blast at them. They swiveled to avoid it, but it continued to fire more at them. During the attack, Vince was seething and reminded the former teen.
Vince: "Rodimus, Jack, whoever you are called! When this is all over, you and I are going to have a long talk about this."
Jack groaned through the speakers and could tell he's not going to like it.
Jack/Rodimus: "Yes, yes, I know. But let's worry about surviving this and getting back to base."
Another blast was heard as Jack's Hummer nearly lost it's tracking. Kaosu saw this and decided to finish this once and for all.
Miko/Kaosu: "That's it! The Con's guard dog is officially going down!"
Pulling a 180 and shifting to reverse, she opened up her trunk and deployed her rockets right at it.
Miko/Kaosu: "All right big boy, I got something special for you!"
She then fired as the missiles flew straight towards the Predacon and hit it square in the chest plate. The explosion engulfed it in flames as the Wrecking cadet thought she got it. But then, she saw it flew through the flames and was soaring right towards her.
Miko/Kaosu: "No way…"
Sari watched on in horror too and didn't know what to say.
Sari: "Whoa… This freak is tough…"
But that was pretty short lived as the creature charged up another fire blast right at them.
Sari: "Miko, I think now would be a good idea to FLOOR IT!"
She immediately turned back and drove as fast as the speedometer would take her. At the same time, the Predacon spat out another fiery blast and sent it down to the femme. But blast only hit from behind, but it pushed her enough to sent her flying out of the radius and tumbled in her vehicle form before transforming back and letting her and Sari rolled around a little bit and went to a stop. Soon as it was finished, the metallic beast landed on the ground and slowly approached them, eager to rip them apart. Bulkhead saw what happened to his cadet and was in a panic frenzy.
Bulkhead: "MIKO!"
He immediately charged right in and was ready to fight, as the Predacon was getting closer to its prey. Miko and Sari groaned for a little bit and didn't have a clue in what hit them. Turning behind them, they noticed the dragon like beast in their faces and was ready to finish them off by charging another fiery blast at them. The teen girl stood behind the Wrecking cadet as Kaosu stood her ground, ready to delivery the fight of her life. But just before the creature could melt her, Bulkhead appeared out of nowhere punched the beast at the right side of the head. At the same time, it fired the blast away from its targets as the flames flew right to the gravity tracks of the railway system, destroying it on impact and creating a gap within the tracks. As that happened, Bulkhead continued to punch as his Apex Armor increased his strength to make him stronger then he is. He kept on hitting as he uttered one word after his punches.
Bulkhead: "Get- Away- From- My- FRIEND!"
That last hook got the creature in a daze as its neck was cracked. But then, unexpectedly, the beast turned to him and cracked its neck back in place. The Wrecker watched this with his own two optics and couldn't believe that it was still standing after that beat down. Just as he was shocked by this, the creature turned body around and used its tail to swing right at the green bot. Bulk covered himself with his arms as the tail hit him and pushed him from the impact, hitting him to the wall. Miko saw this and she too freaked out like her friend.
Miko/Kaosu: "Bulkhead!"
Getting up, she armed her hammers and did a couple of smacks to bring the beast out of commission temporarily. The moment it was out, she and Sari approached the downed bot and checked to see if he was all right.
Miko/Kaosu: "Bulk, are you…"
The Wrecker managed to recover from the attack and turned his arm a little as it was a little sore.
Bulkhead: "I'm fine. A little banged up, but fine. Thank the All Spark the armor protected me or it would've been a whole lot worse."
The Wrecking cadet smiled a little and knew that he'll make it. Sari though looked back to the dragon and noticed that it was starting to stir.
Sari: "Guys, we're not out of the woods yet. Look!"
The two looked to the creature and noticed it recovering from the many hammer strikes and was ready to deliver some serious payback. During that time, a transport train carrying multiple freights of vehicle parts left the warehouse and headed straight to the factory's conveyer belts. But it was on the track that the Predacon destroyed and none of the Autobots or the creature noticed it. At the same time, the metallic dragon approached the three and was ready to get rid of them once and for all. Roaring at them, the two Wreckers stood their ground were ready to duke it out. But then, they noticed the train reaching the damaged track and crashed to it, letting the other floating cars flying up in the air and letting the freight containers flying all over the place. Bulk saw this and told the others to make a run for it.
Bulkhead: LOOK OUT!"
Quickly, he made a mad dash while Kaosu picked up Sari and transformed to let her into her vehicle mode. The two disappeared as Predaking wondered where they were going. Looking up, it saw some of the freights heading towards it and hit it hard, giving it little time to get out of it. The other Autobots saw them as well and transformed, driving and avoiding the many objects crashing to the ground. The medics were still with Optimus as they were running, trying their best to avoid the falling containers. Suddenly, one of the falling cars landed in front of them, blocking their way out while the many freights crashed and surrounded them completely. Once the chaos was over the Cons perched at the balcony observed the carnage and were surprised by chaos that happened. Even Starscream was completely shocked as he crossed his arms and groaned to himself.
Starscream: "And there goes our cargo train…"
When the smoke was clear, the entire courtyard was scattered with many damaged containers with the destroyed drones and Shredders. The group then got together and transformed back to their bipedal modes. Looking onward at the many containers burying the monstrosity they encountered. Arcee looked on and smirked about what just happened.
Arcee: "Hmph… Try getting out of that."
Bulk and Kaosu approached the group as the femme was little frazzled by the fight.
Miko/Kaosu: "Okay, I know that the Cons are desperate in killing us, but this is way over the top! Since when did they have a dragon?!"
The other Autobots look to her strangely and were a little confused about her words.
Wheeljack: "Dragon? What's a Dragon?"
The cadet look to him and explained what it is.
Miko/Kaosu: "You know. Giant, flying, flying breathing lizard that you heard about in fairy tales and medieval times! That's a dragon!"
Raf looked to her and told her that it was impossible.
Raf/Firewall: "But dragons are just plain myths. No way they could even exist in real life!"
Smokescreen though looked at the many crates burying it and smirked to himself.
Smokescreen: "Well, good luck telling that thing about it. It's already pushing lug nuts by now."
By the time he said that, there was a low rumble coming from the pile as the group watched on, wondering what's that about. But then suddenly, and without warning, the rubble and containers exploded, sending it's contents scattering all over the courtyard. The grouped ducked down as the freights flew all over them. But when they looked up, what they saw horrify them as they saw Predaking emerging from the wreckage and looked incredibly angry. It turned to the team and roared incredibly loud at them. They slowly took a step back as Arcee retorted something to the Elite Guard member.
Arcee: "Spoke a little too soon Smoke. Run!"
The Autobots then turned around and ran for their lives while Rodimus, Firewall, and Kaosu picked the human teens up and made a break for it as well. The Predacon saw them leave and decided to finish this entirely. With its core warming up, it transferred to the mouth and shoot out more fire, creating a living flamethrower right behind the intruders. The group continued to run as fast as they could as they could feel the flames warming up their backs. They then spotted a gravity car tilted to its side that's blocking their path and were trapped. But Smoke saw that as a way out and armed his phase shifter, telling the others what to do.
Smokescreen: "Everyone grab on to me! We're going to go through!"
Quickly, every held each other's hands as the recruits put their friends on their shoulders just to hold each other's hands as well. Once they were together Smokescreen turned on his Phase Shifter and made a mad dash to the sideway car. He then phased through the car like wall followed by the others. Once they got through, they took a breather as a wall of flames showed in the background. As they took a breather, Ratchet, Altra, and Optimus was there the whole time and saw them coming through. Ratchet looks to them and was a little confused of their sudden appearance.
Ratchet: "What the slag are you all doing here?!"
Everyone looked to him as Jack told him about it.
Jack/Rodimus: "Hey, you try to get away from a fire breathing dragon! See how you like it."
Ratchet looked up to see the dragon flying up to the air to get a better advantage and noticed how it looks, spiky, ancient, and very dangerous. Starring at this creature, he could tell what it is.
Ratchet: "That is no dragon Jack. That's a Predacon!"
The group looked to the medic and they were just as confused as ever.
Miko/Kaosu: "A Preda- what?"
He looked to the group and explained what that thing is.
Ratchet: "A Predacon, a very ancient and dangerous species. They predate before the creation of Cybertron and the Primes."
The team looked on in surprise as Arcee thought that was impossible.
Arcee: "How can that be possible? I thought all Predacons were extinct for eons!"
Jackie looked up to the beast and was a little arrogant about her words.
Wheeljack: "Well if they are extinct, then that's one angry fossil."
The creature got into view of the team and spit out multiple blast shots at them. Of course they were father distances as the blasts blew up all around them. During the blasts Optimus groaned and got down a little, feeling the pain along the way. Ratchet looked to him and could tell that he was in the danger zone.
Ratchet: "We can't let that Predacon hurt Optimus! We need to get it away from him!"
The two-wheeler nodded and told the others what to do.
Arcee: "You heard him team. We have to get that thing away from our leader! Split up, keep it distracted, and keep your distance! Attack when you think you have the opening! Let's go!"
The group nodded and was prepared for battle. Ratchet decided to join in too since this new threat is something the team had never face before. They could use all the medical attention that they need. But he still can't leave the Prime behind. So he looked to June for a quick favor.
Ratchet: "June, stay with Optimus! Make sure he's safe! We can't let him die on our watch!"
The nurse looked up to him and nodded in agreement.
June/Altra: "Of course Ratchet."
It was then that the recruits dropped the human teens to the ground and told them to do the same.
Jack/Rodimus: "You three should stay here too. Right now it's too dangerous for you to take on that. Leave that too us."
Both Sam and Sari nodded in agreement and knew when to back down. But Vince crossed his arms and was a little bummed over the news he heard.
Vince: "I'll do it, but only because I'm under protest. You're still going to explain yourself once all this is over Darby. Mark my words."
Jack smirked and told him that he'll remember.
Jack/Rodimus: "Dully noted Vince."
Bumblebee then came in and opened his compartment and take out Sari's key and gives it to her.
Bumblebee: (Here, take this. Don't need it anytime soon.)
Sari nodded as she took the key from his servo and wrapped it around her neck. Once everything is settled, Kaosu decided to begin the attack by deploying her rocket launchers on her shoulders.
Miko/Kaosu: "First order of business is to get that thing to stop firing at us. Hope this does the trick."
She fired a bunch of rockets right at the creature as it flew up to avoid each and every shot. Once it was away, Arcee decided to execute the plan.
Arcee: "Now! Before it could recover!"
The group immediately separate to begin the plan, jumping over freights and debris, or in Bulkhead's case, crashing through the area. As they all split, the Cons watched from above and find that to be a bit pointless.
Shockwave: "A divide and conquer technique, that would be insufficient."
Megatron nodded and watched to see what would happen next. Back down on the courtyard, the Autobots managed to separate and surround the entire area. The metallic dragon looked at the surrounding area and could see them trying to get away. But with the doors closed, they were completely trapped and have nowhere to go. Charging his center, it breathed fire at them and tried to cook them completely. The group then transformed into their vehicle modes and drove away from the incoming shots. Bulkhead though has his Apex Armor on and couldn't transform into his vehicle mode. So his movements were extremely sluggish compared to when he was going without the armor on. Predaking noticed it too and discovered an easy target as it fired a blast at him. He ran as fast as his legs would carrying him as he missed the blast by mere inches. Unfortunately, the force of the blast pushed him forward and caused him to crash to the near by crate. Shaking off from the blast, he looked to his arm to see flames dancing on the titanium armor. Brushing it off, he noticed that his armor is a little melted. Checking at where the blast was hit, he spotted parts of drones he and the others destroyed burned and melted into liquid metal. Fearing about that, he turned to the others and told them what he saw.
Bulkhead: "Watch yourselves! Those flames are volatile! Have that hit you and you're good as melted!"
Through out the courtyard, the rest of the team was driving out of the way as the fiery blasts continued to rain down on them. Wheeljack drift left and right to avoid the shots, only to find out to be completely pointless from here on out. He thought that in order to take down something that big, he had to leave it grounded. Looking for something useful, he saw a complete Shredder Arcee stopped with her Immobalizer. Seeing that, he found his way to bringing that monster down. The Predacon saw him going to that Shredder and decided to intervene. It fired a blast at him and soared neared his location. It missed him, but the flames block his path and he now knows that hitting those flames could mean melt central. But then, he spotted pieces of debris that looked like that of a ramp with enough height to go over those flames. Seeing that opening, he took it and went to maximum overdrive on the ramp. Just as he hit the ramp, the entire event went to slow motion as he flew over the flames, nearly melting his tires. The moment he passed over the flames, he landed on the ground and transformed midway to perform a roll to get back up. Taking out his Polarity Gauntlet, he pointed to the disabled shredder and pushed the button, having the orangey hue surround the huge sphere and lifting up off the ground. Looking back to the dragon, he saw it heading towards him and decided to pull this off completely.
Wheeljack: "All right big boy, let's see you dodge this."
With a quick flick of the wrist, he threw the frozen shredder in the air and the beast had little time in avoiding it. Almost immediately, it got slammed in the upper chest and plummeting down to the courtyard floor and crashed very heavily. But in that part of the crash, Bumblebee was within that area, in vehicle mode driving away. Unfortunately, the Predacon crashed in front of him and made an immediate drift for a full-blown stop. Transforming to his bipedal mode, he looked on and wondered if it survived. He got his answer as the metal dragon got up and starred him down with a low growl. Fearing for his life, the scout deployed his blasters and continuously fired at it. Too bad that the armor on the creature is impossible to penetrate as the blasts bounce off it. The creature roared as it used its claws to cut him up. Bee swiftly ducked and dodged each attack as he was trying to find an opening. During that time, the beast lifted its claw hand up and backhand him to the nearby freight, indenting on impact. The Autobot groaned in a chirp and didn't expect that hit to happen. Looking up, he saw Predaking starring down at his targets as his center and mouth was glowing. His optics were adjusted as he thought that he was good as dead. But just as the metal dragon was about to deliver the final blow, a blue and pink motorcycle jumped high over the top of the container where Bumblebee was stuck at. The bike then landed on the creature's head and sped down its spine until popping a wheelie and jumped before the end of the tail. The bike preformed a cartwheel and transforming in the air. Landing and fried on the opposite end, the bike was none other then Arcee as she turned to see the creature turning to her and was getting very upset. So much so, that the flames it was saving for Bumblebee blow up at her. Luckily, she ran away from the flame throwing blast and used her blasters to fire away at it. As soon and she reached the end, she jumped off the container and landed on the statue of Megatron close by. Looking back to see the creature stop firing, she took the opportunity and used her leg strength to push forward like that of a missile. Deploying her blades, she did a quick corkscrew spin to do some heavy damage to its face. Giving that she had successfully scratched it, she didn't bring it down one bit. The Predacon looked down to her and roared as it used its claws to continuously strike her. The femme got back as she preformed a few flips to get her distance away from the monstrosity. Yet the creature kept on stomping forward to get a good shot at her. But as it was getting closer, it immediately stops for some reason. Looking back, it saw Bumblebee holding its tail for as long as he could. Turns out, he managed to free himself from the dent of the freight and decided to stall it as long as it could. Seeing that it was immobile, the two-wheeler switched to her blaster and kept firing away. The beast was bombarded with many hits and was seething in anger. Having enough, it lifted its tail up while Bumblebee was still holding it and tried to shake him off. Bee was like a firefighter trying to control a fire hose and was holding for dear life. Quickly twisting its body around, it managed to free itself from the scout and he flew straight to Arcee. The two had little time to react as they both collided into each other and tumbled to the floor. They managed to recover as they separate, transformed into their vehicle forms and drove away in retreat, splitting in a fork in the road by a single freight container. The Predacon looked on and decided to follow in the air. But before it could spread its wings, a white, red, and green racecar came out of the blue and jumped to its head, transforming to deliver a back chin kick to the helm. Feeling a little dizzy, it looked up to see Wheeljack in a battle position and had his Katanas armed for battle.
Wheeljack: "Going somewhere bud?"
The monster shrieked right to him as he closed off his mouth guard and was ready for a fight. The creature swung its claws at him as the Wrecker used his swords to block each attack. But when things got a little hairy, he jumped away to avoid the next swing. While in the air, he used his blaster to fire at it, but as always, the armor is impossible to penetrate. Landing on the ground, he decided to pull a Wrecker move he performed many times and ran straight to the creature. Predaking watched on and decided to on striking now and delivering a quick slash to him. Jackie then ducked low and used his body to slide under to big beast and stopped on the other side. Jumping off in a straight up stand, he turned to get his swords out and skidded to a stop, only to charge forward. But before he could make a single move, the tail end hit him and brought him down easily. Landing and skidding to his read end, he got up while using his swords he still held on for balance. As he was trying to get up, he looked up to see the creature standing to him and in his face. As it was ready to deliver a critical blow, Jackie smirked behind the mouth guard and was already cocky.
Wheeljack: "If I were you, I would start praying for your creator."
The dragon looked at him strangely and wondered what he was talking about. It was then that it heard some strange beeping coming from below him. Peeking down, it noticed a grenade underneath its belly and it was armed. What the Wrecker did was during the slide; he took a grenade out and armed it, placing underneath the creature like he always does in the many battles of Cybertron. Looking back up to its target, it remained still and didn't know what to do. Before it could do anything, the grenade exploded underneath and doused it in flames. Jackie looked on and thought that he had it, but as the flames dissipate, the Predacon still stood tall, looking at him with a 'really' expression. Wheeljack though looked on in shock and couldn't believe what just happened.
Wheeljack: "You've got to be fragging kidding me!"
The creature lifted its claws up and was prepared to deliver one huge blow. Before it could even finish him off, a McLaren arrived at the scene and headed to his side, transforming and pushing him out of the way and leaving the Predacon with nothing but air and holes through the metal floor. It realized that it was stuck and tried to get out a couple of times. Once the Wrecker was out of harms way, Kaosu, who saved his life, took a breather and told him what happened to her.
Miko/Kaosu: "Have you already forgotten about me shooting rockets at that thing? It didn't even phase it! You that that grenade of yours can do the trick?"
Wheeljack looked on in shock until he spoke back.
Wheeljack: "I'm going to need more grenades."
Predaking managed to free itself from getting stuck on the floor and looked to the two and growled right at them. But when it was about to strike back, Kaosu turned her servo into her sonic cannon and fired a wave blast at it, letting it scream in agony. Once it was temporarily deaf, Miko told Wheeljack to move.
Miko/Kaosu: "Come on! Let's get out of here before that creep regains it's hearing!"
Both then transformed back to their vehicle forms and sped away, hoping to find a counter attack against something like that. The Predacon regained its hearing and looked around to notice that the two were gone. Feeling aggravated, it swung its tail and hit a container, causing it to fly away. Looking back at the toppled down object, it came up with a devious idea and begin its new form of attack. Twisting its body around, it swung to tail hard and hit the many more objects around it and caused them to fly around the place. The group saw the huge crates coming at them while driving and continued to drive away. Smokescreen was in the worse of it all as he could see freights flying all around him. But then he decided to use his Phase Shifter to get through that. Transforming and running, he turned on his Shifter and changed back to his racecar mode, speeding away as fast as he could. During that drive, he phased through one container after another while the ones that fell in front or on top of, he phased out of. Meanwhile, Bulkhead was trying to avoid those crates too and with the armor on him there is both good and bad about it. Bad that it's too slow for him to move and impossible to transform into his vehicle mode, good that if anything hit him, the armor is tough enough to protect him. Thinking this wasn't getting him anywhere out of it, he needs to come up with a way in countering it. Looking for something, he spotted half a Shredder he used to destroy the group of Insecticons. Seeing this, he came up with way to stopping the creature's frenzy. Heading towards the object, he picked up half a sphere and started to twist his body around while saying something.
Bulkhead: "You like to throw things huh? Well try this on for size!"
He spins around while holding the half Shredder until throwing it like that of a Frisbee, sending it straight to the metallic dragon. Predaking looked up to see the object heading towards him. Thinking the ground isn't the best of options; it spread its wings and flew up incredibly high in the air, avoiding the half of the sphere entirely. Once in the air, it charged another blast and fired it at the Wrecker. Bulk had little time as he crossed his arms and the blast hit in front of him, pushing him back right through another freight and on the other end. Skidding on his pedes to make a stop and was getting a little pissed off over the monster's might. Looking up, to see the creature, it looked to the green bot and decided to strike by diving down towards him. He saw this and jumped to the side, getting out of the creature's furious strike. Getting up, he saw it going around and was ready for another go. Just then, Jack came up in his Hummer H2 and transformed into his bipedal mode to see if he needed help.
Jack/Rodimus: "You need a little help Bulk?"
The Wrecker turned to the cadet and responded the best he could.
Bulkhead: "I might. This slagging Predacon never gives up at all. We hit it with everything and it still wasn't enough. There's got to be something we didn't use."
Rodimus look up to the Predicon and thought of a way to slow it down. He turned to him and has a bit of a smirk to his face.
Jack/Rodimus: "Oh I think I know how to stop it, but I'm going to need your help. Tell me, how's your throwing arm?"
The Wrecker looked at him strangely and wondered why he asked that.
Bulkhead: "What?"
Meanwhile, Ratchet drove to the other end and transformed to fire his blaster, trying to get the beast's attention. A few stray shots didn't even do the trick, as it was getting ready to deliver another strike to Bulk. Arcee approached next to him and transformed to assist him in the firing. Still it didn't prove to be very effective as the medic was getting tired of it.
Ratchet: "This is pointless! We're hitting everything at this monstrosity and nothing is working! Where's Omega Supreme when we needed him the most?"
Arcee continued to fire as she told him that it would be all right.
Arcee: "Even without him, we have to work with what we got. Besides, we've been through worse."
Ratch turned to her and snapped back.
Ratchet: "Arcee, this is far worse then any thing we've all faced! We need a strategy in taking that Predacon down and fast!"
Just as he said that, Bulkhead and Jack were preparing for the recruit's plan. Flexing his digits, Bulk looked to the former teen and asked about this one more time.
Bulkhead: "Now are you sure that this is going to work?"
Jack look back to him and asked his own.
Jack/Rodimus: "Do you have any other bright ideas? Cause if not, then we don't have much of a choice."
The Wrecker sighed to himself and decided to just roll with it.
Bulkhead: "Oh man… Arcee is going to have a spark attack after what you're going to do."
They heard a roar from above as they look up to see Predaking coming towards them. Jack starred him down and decided to do this now.
Jack/Rodimus: "Here it comes! Get ready!"
Bulk nodded and got into position behind the young mech. Once the creature got close to them, Jack nodded and decided to do it.
Jack/Rodimus: "Now!"
Grabbing him by the back, the Wrecker instantly picked him up, pulled back, and threw him in the air. Flying high, the Predacon was ready to devour him, but he twisted his body and managed to avoid its mandible jaws. Soaring to the side of its body, he used his hand to grab the tile of its armor and swung all the way to up its back, right behind the wings. Bulkhead, after lifting the teen up in the air, ducked down to avoid the monster's incoming strike until it flew back in the air. Holding on, Jack shifted his servo into what was once his broad sword, but after the attack of Shockwave, left nothing but a sharp stump. Taking a breather, he decided that it's now or never.
Jack/Rodimus: "Well Jack, this is the one thing you're so going to regret."
Looking down to the vulnerable spot he saw, he raised his arm up and thrust it down, stabbing the creature to the back of the exposed protoform skin and letting energon bleed out of it. The Predacon shrieked in complete pain and immediately flew around like crazy, trying to get the Autobot off of it. Rodimus was completely surprised by the beast's reaction and keep holding on for dear life. The team watched on in shock, as they didn't think Jack can pull something this crazy in his life. Even Arcee looked on and couldn't believe it.
Arcee: "What is that Fragger doing?! Doesn't he know that it's suicide!?"
Ratchet starred on in shock and didn't think he could do that.
Ratchet: "Apparently not…"
Jack continued to hold on, as it was getting difficult to control the beast.
Jack/Rodimus: "Whoa! Easy now! This is the bad idea from the start!"
The Predacon continued to fly around, but it was getting too difficult for it to be rid of the former teen. Thinking of no other option, it decided to fly high into the air with the recruit riding it. The group of both factions looked up and wondered what Predaking is up to. The creature is already reaching the twentieth floor of Darkmount while Jack was slowly loosing his grip. Instantly, the teen's broken sword got loose and he started to fall to his death, but not before he used his servo to grab hold of the creature's tail. The Predacon felt that and swung its tail left and right as Jack held on for dear life. But no matter how long he does that, the monster continues the thrash about, getting the boy off of it. Rodimus could feel himself slipping as the sharp spike of the tail is causing him to loose his grip. But then, the Predacon decided on doing something a little more drastic as it flew it's body around and flick its tail quick, causing Jack to let go and flew to the building, crashing right through the twentieth floor and disappearing in the rubble. The Cons watched high in the balcony and was surprised that the Autobot recruit went through that. So much so that Knockout cringed by the impact and said something in a response.
Knockout: "Oh… That had to hurt."
But for the Autobots, they were shocked to see their friend take taken down by Predaking. But Arcee was shocked by it the worse as her optics were wide and had a very horrifying look.
Arcee: "JACK!"
The group remained shock as Predaking landed around them and roared out loud in victory. Arcee though stood with the same look as what happened to Tailgate before turning to the dragon and had a distant, yet angry look to her face.
Arcee: "You… You FRAGGING SCRAPPER!"
She then rushed right in and transformed into her bike mode, speeding to the metallic monster. The Predacon saw her approaching as she deployed her blasters and fired away at it, even though those shots have proven to be useless. Looking to the femme, it shot a fire blast at her as it exploded in front of her. She quickly popped a wheelie and jumped high through the flames. Coming out of the flames, she was in her bipedal mode and used both of her blasters to fire away, giving out a loud war cry. The creature shrieked right at her as she was getting close to it. With its jaw opened, it grabbed her leg by the teeth and swung its head to Smokescreen and Bumblebee, who was charging straight towards it. Opening its jaw, it let go of the two-wheeler and she was sent flying to the two bots. They all collided and tumbled into each other, yet they quickly recovered and went back on the attack.
Arcee: "Keep firing on that monstrosity! We have to take that thing down and get out of here!"
Soon enough, the three began to fire their blasters at the metallic creature. Soon enough the others followed as they surround the creature, shooting their blasters continuously right at it.
As the fight was going on, Jack managed to survive impact and was in brief pain. Looking up, he saw a big hole through the wall with the sound of blaster fire outside. He could tell that the team was still fighting that creature, yet they didn't know that he survived. But giving the situation they're in, he knew that it was hopeless. Slowly, he slipped out of consciousness as he was in a deep slumber. During that sleep, the key in his compartment began to glow and engulfed him in a bright light.
Inside the realm of the Primes, Jack stood there in his human mode, feeling defeated with his head held down. As he was in that state, he could hear the voice of Vector Prime above him.
Vector Prime: "Why do you stand there Jackson? Why don't you fight?"
Jack looked up to see Vector Prime standing before him with a look of self-confident. But the boy still felt defeated as he told him why he couldn't fight.
Jack: "Why can't I fight? Did you not see what we're up against?! It's a huge dragon for crying out loud! And not just any dragon, some kind of Cybertronian dragon! Is that the fierce battle you told me about? You gotta be joking! There's no way we're going to stop that thing! There's nothing we can do! It's over… We lost…"
He turned his head down and kicked the imaginary dirt; feeling like he had just gave up. Vector could tell that he felt useless and decided to tell him the truth.
Vector Prime: "Believe me when I say this Jackson, we Primes never know the outcomes of our battles. But we know one thing, that given the odds, we are always victorious in the end. That Predacon shall be defeated."
Jack looked up to him and finds that to be highly impossible.
Jack: "Really? How can that thing be defeated? We hit it with everything yet it's still standing! And Optimus is in no condition in stopping that creature due to his injuries. Just wish there was another Prime here to help us, then that would change the tides."
Vector looked to the boy and could tell that he was ready to face the truth.
Vector Prime: "You are right young Darby. Another Prime would come and help you. In fact, this Prime is closer then you think."
Jack looked to the Prime and was a little confused.
Jack: "Really?"
Vector Prime: "Indeed… Remember what I said about your destiny?"
Jack looked to him strangely and answered honestly.
Jack: "Yeah… I remember that. I also asked why you come to me when you would've told the other Autobots about it."
Vector Prime: "Indeed you asked that. And I've told you that you already knew the answer."
Jack: "That still doesn't explain to me why I should be the one hearing this news then the others."
Vector then decided that now is that time and tell him the truth.
Vector Prime: "Tell me something, Jackson Darby, why have you come here when this realm is only meant for Primes alive or dead. Why has Optimus Prime have given you the very key I created and not the other Autobots. He has seen great potential in you my boy. Potential that can make you a future Prime."
Jack blinked and little and was a confused by his saying. But then, his eyes grew wide and slowly started to back up.
Jack: "Whoa, whoa, whoa… Hold up. You're saying that I'm a new Prime? No, no, no… This has got to be some kind of mistake. I'm just some kid that was at the wrong place, at the wrong time. I don't have the kind of material that screams out 'I'm a Prime.'"
But then, Vector boomed out a loud voice while waving his servo.
Vector Prime: "Foolish boy! Have you already forgotten?"
Just then, multiple images appeared all around the two as Jacked looked on to see what they are. Seeing each image, he knew what they were. Every image shows his many exploits with the Autobots. There was the first encounter with MECH were Jack and Miko went on that train that was carrying the DINGUS, then one where Jack spared Megatron's life when he was pinned down at the unstable energon mine, the one where he had to survive and escape the clutches of Airachnid, then there's the time on Cybertron where he downloaded Matrix of Leadership into the Key of Vector Sigma and used the Scraplets to eat at the Insecticon that was going to attack him. All the adventures he had with the team, all in few view. Vector Prime look down at the boy and told him about his past.
Vector Prime: "Don't you remember your past exploits young Darby? All that you have done since joining forces with the Autobots have all been a test to prove that you were worthy. Courage, sacrifice, mercy, strategy, survival, these are all paths that lead any future Prime to greatness. You, young Darby, has succeeded to past these tests as all other Primes before you. You are destined to protect not only your own planet, but the entire universe against the Decepticon threat."
Jack looked at each image and realized that what he had done in the past would make him a real Prime. Still, there is the matter of what he once was and why he became what he had become.
Jack: "But I'm no Cybertronian. I've used to be a human until some lunatic scientist turned me, my friends, and my mom into your kind for some sick agenda. There's no way I can't become one of you guys and I was once a normal human being."
Vector got down to one knee and responded to Jack's claim.
Vector Prime: "That's where you're wrong young Darby. A Prime isn't who we are on the outside; it's what we are on the inside. It's our drive, our determination that made us into the leaders that we are. You have that type of power inside of you. All you need to do is to unlock it and there is a way in doing that. I assume you still have my key with you."
Jack nodded after hearing that type of question.
Jack: "Of course I still have it. Ever since that trip to Cybertron, I kept it with me as a reminder of what I've done for the team. Why?"
Vector Prime: "When you downloaded the Matrix of Leadership and transfer those memories into Optimus, it only delivered most of the download. Now the leader retained all of his memories but it did more then just that. When you download the Matrix into the key, it detected you as a reliable candidate for the next Prime and download extra knowledge to you. You held on to that key because it was calling you."
Jack starred on and was a little confused about his saying.
Jack: "Okay… So how does this help me become a Prime?"
The Prime pointed to him and explained what he wants him to do.
Vector Prime: "That key you now possess is your own matrix, one that can make you into a Prime. Once you place it into your spark chamber, then all the strength, endurance, and wisdom will flow within you. You have so much potential in you Darby, and the Thirteen Primes know of it."
The moment he said all of that, something unexpected happened. All around him, Jack saw all thirteen original Primes surrounding him and looking down on him. The young teen looked on and was completely shocked that everyone was around him. Were they watching him the whole time?
Vector Prime: "Yes Darby, we've been watching you for some time. We have seen the things that you have done. You're sacrifice, determination, and willpower, have proven to us that you can succeed in your destiny. Now you are ready to take the next step, to embark in your destiny. You will face many challenges, but I know that in your spark you will prevail. Now go Darby, the team's lives are at stake and only you could defeat the enemy that stands before you. For from this day forward you would not be known as Jackson Darby, but a name that will live on through out the universe. Rodimus Prime!"
Then the light around Jack engulfed him as the images of the Primes became obscured and faded out of existence. Jack felt blinded by the light as he too disappeared out of thin air.
Immediately, Jack snapped his optics open and realized that he was asleep once again. Looking about, he noticed that he's back in reality and in his Cybertronian body. Looking at himself, he took a deep breather and realized that it was just another vision. But that vision was completely real as he listened to what Vector Prime said.
Jack/Rodimus: "I'm a Prime. That's my destiny?"
He then heard more blaster fire coming from the outside and slowly got up to weakly walk to the open hole. Looking down, he saw the team firing everything at Predaking, but it was impossible to beat. He could help them out, but then the results would be the same. And with Optimus still injured, there's no way he could defend himself. Then he remembered what Vector Prime said.
Vector Prime: "That key you now possess is your own matrix, one that can make you into a Prime. Once you place it into your spark chamber, then all the strength, endurance, and wisdom will flow within you."
Thinking about that, he opened his secret compartment and searched for his key. He took out his key, but then he sort of got something else out of his compartment. Looking to his key, he saw a picture frame of some kind underneath. Separating the key with his other hand, he saw the family picture of him, his family, friends, and the Autobots along with his father, John, and Elsa. It was the first actual picture of the entire family for a long time. He was curious when he had that picture, until he remembered that he recovered it from the remains of his old house. Looking at all of them, he could see the smiles, the memories, everything about it making it all so unforgettable. That is something he was fighting for. His family, his friends, his livelihood, his future. He must fight for what he believes in. Putting the picture away into his compartment, he looks to his key and sighed to himself.
Jack/Rodimus: "If this is my destiny and if it means to save all my friends, then so be it."
He closed his eyes as he held the key close to him. Wind began to swirl around him as the key glowed brighter. Getting the key close to his chest plate, he could feel it opening up, exposing his spark chamber and revealing his spark. He brought the Key of Vector Sigma in and locked it in place. Once he got the key in, something incredible happened. The key stared to shift around his spark and merged with the spark chamber, creating a brand new chamber. Almost instantly, Rodimus felt a surge of energy flow through him and he snapped his optics open and it was glowing bright white. The wind around him swirled faster as he felt like he was being levitated off the ground. During that time, he could feel power growing inside of him as unknown knowledge flowed into his processor. All the wisdom of the Primes, all the history and skills, entered his head and made him feel more confident with himself. His strength returned tenfold and was braver then he normally was. His body started to glow brighter and brighter until he exploded in a one blast, yet he was still standing. Dropping to the ground, he got down on one knee and breathed heavily, feeling reborn as a different person. As he was relaxing, he could hear the voice of Vector Prime echoing in his helm.
Vector Prime: "Arise Rodimus Prime, go forth and fulfill your destiny."
Hearing this, the new Prime got up and looked down at the fight at the ground. Still, before he could jump in, he still needs a way in stopping that beast. He needs to use some form of weapon to take it down. Just then, he remembered about what Raf said. That on the twentieth floor, there is a treasury that was holding the Iacon Relics the Cons took from them. Thinking about it, he transformed into his Hummer and sped straight to his location. The thing is that he had to do it as fast as he could, for the Autobots are still in a fierce battle down there and if he doesn't get to them in time, this war would be for nothing.
Back down on the ground, Team Prime was surrounding the Predacon and continued to shoot their blasters at them. The creature turned to many directions and felt a little overwhelmed by the blaster fire. Yet it was still standing, as the firepower the team was packing isn't enough. Wheeljack got angry and didn't know what to do.
Wheeljack: "Okay, this is getting way old, way fast! We hit him with everything we got and it's still moving. What else can we use against a monster that big?!"
Miko was beside him and thought of a good joke.
Miko/Kaosu: "I don't know. Maybe the world's biggest kitchen sink?"
Bulk was close by as he lifted up a big crate and told her to stop making jokes.
Bulkhead: "As much as that would happen, I think we need to mix up our formula a bit."
He then threw the crate to the creature as it went to its head. The beast was a little in the loop temporarily until it regained its consciousness and decided to stop them once and for all. Charging its center, the flames transferred to its mouth and breathed hot flames to them, spinning in a circle. The group quickly saw this and got into cover before the fire could even touch them. Even Smokescreen managed to get out of there by using his Phase Shifter to go through one of the fallen freight container as the flames touched it. Ratchet jumped over a piece of debris that had enough cover to protect himself. As he was doing that, he got his blaster up and turned to Firewall as he was close to him and told him what to do.
Ratchet: "Raf, we're going to need to shock the Predacon in order to slow it down!"
The hacker turned to the medic and nodded in understanding, as he turned his servo into a tazer blaster and took a deep breath. Once he was clear of the fiery blast, he got out of cover, charged his blaster to full power, and shot a powerful electric bolt right at it. The blast hit the monster as it screamed while electrical currents passed through it. As soon as it was immobile, Kaosu watched on and took that opportunity. Getting out of her cover, she armed her cannons are set it to extremely high, firing a huge enough pulse blast right at the dragon. Predaking could feel the blast and held on for all it could with its sharp claws scrapping the metal floor. But the pulse was powerful enough to lift the creature off the floor and slammed it on the wall. It shook off from the impact and was about to strike back. But then, it saw a heavily armored Autobot jumping high in the air and rocketing down towards it. That bot was Bulkhead with his Apex Armor on as he headed down to the creature and used both his fist as a hammer and slammed him down to the head, leaving it completely woozy. At the same time, Bumblebee and Smokescreen drove up to the sides of the Predicon and transformed to grab its arms. Arcee and Wheeljack soon followed suit as they sped to its legs and transformed to their bipedal modes to grab them as well. Finally, Firewall and Kaosu headed to the tail to do the same thing. Once everyone got a hold of Predaking, Ratchet approached Bulkhead as the wrecker wondered what to do now.
Bulkhead: "Well, we got it on the ropes. Now what?"
Ratch looked to the core at the chest cavity and came up with a good enough explanation.
Ratchet: "It's obvious that the core could be its spark chamber and its weak spot. If we can disable it, we might be able to shut it down completely."
Nodding, Bulk looked to the metallic dragon, pounding his fist and had a pleasing smirk to his faceplate.
Bulkhead: "Then let's do it."
Quickly, he rushed right to the creature and was about to make it to the main core of the beast to shut it down completely. But just as he was about to finish it off, Predaking managed to regain consciousness and calculated the seriousness of the problem. Lifting its helm up, the creature swung its neck to Bulk's direction and hit him to the point he flew away to the other end. The medic looked on and could tell that they were in graver danger then before. Looking back, he saw the dragon struggling to get out as it slowly broke itself free from the others. It lashed its tail while Raf and Miko held on to it until they let go and they too flew to different parts of the courtyard. Spreading its wings, it flew high in the air and as the other Autobots kept holding on to its clawed hands and feet in the sky. Slowly, they began to loose their grip as one by one, they let go and fell to the courtyard's floor with debris and crates surrounding them. Once it was free, it looked around to see who to strike first. Turns out the only closet target was Ratchet, as he starred in shock and didn't expect it to be free. It then flew down towards him and was ready to breath fire at him. The medic saw this and realized he's in a bit of a dilemma.
Ratchet: "Oh scrap!"
He immediately turned and ran away from the beast, transforming into an ambulance to speed away. The dragon fired a blast right at him only to miss as an explosion of fire blew up from behind. The Predacon continued the chase as it kept firing more blasts around the medic.
While the fight was going on, Altra stood behind and watched after Optimus. Since he was injured severely, she needed to make sure that he was away from any harm. Although giving the fight that was going on, and the shock to see her son get taken down so easily, it was nearly impossible to end it. During that time, Optimus could only hear the blaster fire and explosions all around him and knew that the team isn't doing to well. Opening his dimmed optics, he knew what he must do.
Optimus Prime: "The Autobots are in danger… They need my help…"
He tried to get up just to help them, but giving the damage of his legs it was impossible to stand. Altra saw him about to fall and rushed to his aid before he could make a tumble.
June/Altra: "Optimus, save your strength. I can't let you out in the battlefield. You are still handicapped from your torment and your weapons are disabled. There's no way you can take that freak on by yourself, especially if you were 100 percent."
The Prime looked to the nurse and told her his reasons in helping.
Optimus Prime: "You don't understand. This creation Megatron had unleashed cannot be stopped unless it destroys all Autobots. My team cannot function without me. They need my assist in battle, otherwise they will be terminated."
June/Altra: "That might be true. But Ratchet gave me strict orders to make sure that you are safe. He knows that your safety is our number one priority."
The Autobot leader remained silent and had to find a way to getting out of this. That's when he thought of something and turned back to June to give her a little life lesson.
Optimus Prime: "Tell me, Altra is it? Why are you here? Are you here to stay and hide, or the help out anyway you could. We Primes knew the risks when it comes to the battlefield. Even if we are damaged, we can still fight until our sparks are extinguished. The risks we take are far greater then any Cybertronian, giving their factions, can bring. You have that fighting spirit in you Altra. You may not know it yet, but you can rise above your programming and in time, help others out as well, including me."
Altra heard his words of wisdom and thought about that for a brief moment. All her life, she felt as though she was helping behind the scenes, that she was just a nurse saving lives in the hospital. But then, everything changed for her since meeting the Autobots and now that she's one of them, surpassed her comfort zone a little bit. But giving how dire the battle is, she wished to do something to help them all. And with Jack taken down, she wanted to help them out more then ever, in his memory. Still, she had to take care of Optimus and protect him incase Predaking does attack them. Looking back at the battle, she could see the dragon going after Ratchet as flame blasts surround him while he was driving. Seeing him in danger, she had to help out. But giving Optimus is damaged, and weaponless… Just then, an idea came into her head as she had figured out a way in helping the Autobots while protecting Optimus. Turning to the leader, she asked for a simple favor.
June/Altra: "Show me."
The Prime looked to her and was a little confused.
Optimus Prime: "Excuse me?"
June/Altra: "Show me where the Decepticons disabled your weapons systems. I think I might be able to bring them back online."
Lifting her free servo up, the tips of her metal fingers opened up to reveal the small medical tools she can use to fix most of Optimus's systems. The Autobot leader saw the determination in her optics and could tell that she was ready to help.
Back to Ratchet, he was trying to get away from the metallic dragon in his vehicle form as it bombarded him with blasts with flames all around him. The Predacon looked on and had to stop his momentum. Looking onward, it discovered what appear to be scraps of jeeps peeking out of one of the open containers with gas and oil leaking out of the tanks. Seeing this, it charged another blast and spat it out at the container. The moment the flames connected, it created a huge explosion big enough to push the medic, who was driving beside the wreckage, to the side. Transforming in the air, he landed on the ground chest first and skidded as sparks flew out. Making a complete stop, he turned to his back and saw Predaking flying towards him. In shock, he jumped off upside down and did a flip to get away while the creature landed where he use to be. Getting right back up, he deployed his surgical blades and began to charge at the beast. He managed to give off a few swings here and there as he was able to cut its face slightly. The demonic robot slowly turned to him and wasn't impressed by his feats. Ratch stepped back and decided to thrust forward to deliver the final blow. But suddenly, the Predacon used its jaw to snap on to the medics arm and with sheer strength, pulled it out from him, ripping it apart. Ratchet screamed out in pain as he looked down to see his arm was torn from the shoulder with wires sparking out and energon leaking at the tubes. Turning back, he saw the creature turn around and used its tail to whack him right to another Cybertronian freight. Shaking from that, he got up and looked up to see Predaking heading straight towards him with a keen interest in killing him. Seeing the core on the chest, he shifted his only servo into a blaster and made a precise shot at the center. But as the projectile headed to chamber, it bounced off the glass and saved its life. The medic watched on and couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Ratchet: "No… I didn't work."
Back up at the balcony, Megatron and his cronies looked on and was pleased by the creature's work.
Megatron: "Marvelous… It would seem you have taken precaution to protect this fine creature."
He turned to Shockwave for an explanation as the scientist talked about it.
Shockwave: "Indeed I have. After many trial runs, I've begun to realize that the core of its chest could be marked as a weak spot. So giving the resources and knowledge that I have, I taken the liberty in the same shield casing I did with my optic. Just as you can see by the last attack, I have made the most logical of choices."
Starscream looked on and retorted back.
Starscream: "Yes, yes, how nice you prevent the blaster fire to hit that core chamber. Let's hope they don't punch it through the chest."
The scientist turned the commander and told him that it was okay.
Shockwave: "Do not threat; Predaking is very durable when it comes to close combat. The team won't be able to connect to my creation."
Back down on the ground, Ratchet continued to fire at the dragon's center, yet he didn't leave a single mark. The beast looked on and wasn't in the mood to play, so it shrieked and as its centered charged up for another go. Ratchet stood back in shock and was about to die. But before it could finish him off, it got bombarded by multiple shots at a distance. Ratchet looked on in confusion and wondered how that happened. Turning to the direction of the hit, he was even more surprised then ever. Standing there was Altra using her blaster to fire at the creature. But what got him in a twist is that the she was carrying Optimus to her shoulder, with him using his own blaster to hold it off. Turns out, June used her mini surgical tools to repair part of the leader's weapon systems just so he could defend himself from the dragon. Though giving that he can't walk, the sword blades would be useless as he can't stand his ground on his own. So it was wise of her to use just the blasters to help. Knockout looked to that and was shocked to see the Prime still having his weapons.
Knockout: "Hey! I thought I disabled all of Prime's weapons when we had him captive."
Megatron peered at his medic and felt a little aggravated by those words.
Megatron: "Is that so? Maybe you should've check to see if all of his weapons were disabled before taking him to his cell. Perhaps I should leave the medical work with Shockwave while I leave you in cleaning Predaking."
The red Con looked to his master and laughed a little nervously, imagining him cleaning the remains of dead cons while washing the armor of the metal dragon. So embarrassing… Back to the fight, Altra and Optimus continued to shoot at the beast while approaching the down Ratchet that was badly injured. The metallic dragon was now getting more and more pissed as it turned to them and decided to begin its attack on them, causing the center to glow. Suddenly, a huge freight container came up to its head and brought it down easily. Standing on the freight were the rest of the Autobots, fully recovered from the fall and were ready for another round. Bulkhead, who threw the container in the first place, pounded the fists of his heavy armor and threatened the monster.
Bulkhead: "No one hurts our leader and gets away with it!"
The Predacon shook off from the attack, it turned to the group and just about had it with the team. It then roared right at them and was ready to give them the ultimate fight. The others looked on and were ready to stop it at all costs as Arcee gave out the ultimate order.
Arcee: "Autobots, ATTACK!"
Quickly, they all jumped off the container and charged right at the metallic dragon. It started the attack with a huge enough fiery blast to destroy them in one hit. But then, they all transformed into their vehicle modes and turned away from the blast, missing them completely. Bulkhead though managed to get away from the blast and although flames were on his armor, he was still standing. He then noticed a metal slab slanted to be that of a seesaw as it was targeting right at Predaking. Quickly, he grabbed a boulder from his sheer strength of the Apex armor and tossed it high in the air. After doing that, he got his pedes on the floor end and waited for something to happen. Just then, the boulder hit the tilted end of the seesaw and with one bit push, lunched him in the air and at his target. The creature see him coming and opened jaws to swallow him whole. Quickly, he twists his body and managed to avoid the grasp of the monster. Passing the head, he made a mad grab for the neck and tried to hold it down for as long as he could. The Predacon felt that and thrashed its neck about to get him off of it. As it was distracted, the others surround the huge dragon and transformed, using their weapons to fire at it. As they were keeping the thing busy, Altra and Optimus headed to the medic's aid as she placed Optimus next to him and began working on him. Ratchet was pleased that she was helping him, but at the same time, incredibly upset.
Ratchet: "I thought I told you to stay with Optimus and make sure that he doesn't get killed!"
June looked to him and had a small smile to her face.
June/Altra: "Sorry to disappoint, but Optimus has to helped the others and I cannot stop him. Besides, you should be lucky. If it hadn't been for us, you would've lost more then that arm. Now hold still, I need to make sure that you don't loose more energon in your system."
She continued to work on patching up his injuries, preventing the energon from leaking out of it. Ratchet look to Optimus with his blaster still armed and felt a little surprised about the leader's so called bravery.
Ratchet: "You certainly are a stubborn bot, Optimus."
Prime looked to him and told him why he did that.
Optimus Prime: "That might be true, old friend. But even injured, we still fight to the very end."
Back to the fight, the Autobots surround the creature and fired anything they have. Their blasters though had proven to be of little effect against the beast. Miko though thought she can try again and fired her missiles at the creature. They did exploded when they connected, but the armor on the Predacon still protects it. Turning its head, it growled and used its tail to knock the Wrecking Cadet down. She immediately jumped out of the way in time as the tail hit nothing but debris and twisted metal. Wheeljack saw this and had to intervene in some way. Looking around, he spotted an immobile Shredder that Arcee froze before the big battle. Seeing, that, he took his Polarity Gauntlet out and pointed it to the object and pushed a simple button. The object in particular was surrounded by an orangey hue and lifted off the ground without hesitation. As it lifted off the ground, Jackie acted as a flight coordinator and with one twist of the arm, threw the huge sphere right at the dragon. It look to the side to see it heading its way and quickly spread its wings to fly high up in the air, missing it completely as the Shredder reached the other team members. Both Raf and Bumblebee were on the left and right side and jumped out of the way from the incoming shredder. But Smokescreen was in the middle and had little time in avoiding it. Instead, he turned on his phase shifter and let the huge projectile to go through him. But then, the shredder went through a bunch of freights and crashed through them in the process. As Predaking flew through the hair, Bulkhead was still holding onto its neck was having a hard time controlling it, acting like a cowboy riding a bull or a horse.
Bulkhead: "Hee-haw! Gitty up little horsey! Ride em' cowboy!"
The others looked up to see the Wrecker getting himself whiplashed and Kaosu was extremely nervous.
Miko/Kaosu: "Bulkhead's in trouble! We got to do something!"
The femme looked up to see the green bot trying his best to not let go. Arcee saw this too and didn't know what to do.
Arcee: "Well Miko, unless you have a pair of wings to fly up there, be my guest."
When the Predacon was at a good distance, it breathed fire and delivered multiple blasts at the team. The group quickly scattered and avoided the incoming projectile.
Just as the fight was going on, Sari, Sam, and Vince were in a whole lot of trouble as well. Though the team instructed them to stay and hide, it wasn't going to be very easy. Blasts and debris were everywhere and they can't stay for very long. So they ran for their lives and tried to avoid anything they can. The group then made a stop when another blast came up in front of them and blocked there way through. Sam looked on and couldn't believe it.
Sam Witwicky: "Great, we're trap! Now what are we going to do?"
They all then heard a roar from above and looked to see Predaking trying to attack the team while one of the Autobots continue to hang on as long as he could. Vince looked on and had a very serious face to him.
Vince: "We do one thing… Fight!"
He spotted a server arm with a blaster already armed and ready to fire. Approaching it, he quickly pulled it out and put his hand into the mechanism that fires, since he did that before. Knowing it was still on, he smiled and was ready to fire back. Sam though looked to him and was a little nervous about that.
Sam Witwicky: "Uh, Vince? You sure that's a good idea? Cause I don't think a blaster could stop that thing."
The bully turned to him and threatened him to the limit.
Vince: "You got any other bright ideas to put that freak down?! Do you?! No?! Then we're sticking with it!"
Sari then approached him and told him if he's ready to fight a dragon.
Sari: "You really wish to fight Puff the Magic Dragon with a small blaster, then be my guest. Otherwise we need some very serious firepower against something that massive!"
Vince then turned to her and asked her about that.
Vince: "Well unless you have a rocket launcher with you, then you damn well might of used it by now."
Sari was a little fumed and tried to argue back. But before she could do that, she heard the whirling whimpers close by in between the blasts from the battle. Curious, she went to the direction to investigate while Sam and Vince looked at each other and decided to follow her in case there's trouble close by. Approaching a nearby freight car, the group huddled to a corner as Vince led the way. Getting the blaster up, he charged it and waits for the right moment to strike. Quickly, he got around the corner and pointed his weapon to whoever was there. But the moment he got into full view, he was a bit shocked as he lowered his weapon and told Sari to come out.
Vince: "It's all right you two. You can come out. There are no Cons, just a little annoying pet."
Quickly, the two peeked to the corner to see what the bully was talking about. Looking onward, Sari couldn't believe what she was seeing. Standing there was her pet Scraplet, looking scared and surrounded by scraps of metal it as eating. She always wondered what happened to her pet since it scampered off and was eating through the wall to hide from those Cons. Now there it was, managing to survive that long and was scared to death. Sari didn't know what to do until she spoke to it.
Sari: "Sparkplug, is that you?"
The Scraplet heard its master's voice and turned to that direction to see her with a look of shock. Knowing that it was her, it chirped and whirled in happiness as it rushed right to her. Sari could only help but to smile as she rushed to her pet with open arms as it jumped right to her and attaches it to her chest. Sari hugged it out and was glad that her precious pet is all right.
Sari: "Oh Sparkplug, I was so worried of you. Don't ever leave me again okay?"
The metal creature chirped in response as the teen girl hugged it some more. Soon enough, Vince and Sam joined with her as Witwicky figured something out.
Sam Witwicky: "Looks like the poor guy must've been hiding across Darkmount for a while. Guess he was able to make it down to the bottom floor and got caught in the crossfire most of the time. Gotta say, it certainly is one tough pet."
Vince though heard another roar and looked up to see the Predacon continuing to strike the team with the many fire blasts and didn't notice them close by. The Scraplet heard that too and coward from the sound of the beast. He turned to the others and told them that now isn't the time for this moment.
Vince: "Look, as much as I like this little reunion, we still have a bigger problem here."
Sari looked to him and nodded in agreement.
Sari: "Yeah, I could tell. Maybe we can use Sparkplug to eat that thing."
Vince then gave her the weirdest look ever and thought that she was kidding.
Vince: "Uh, Sari? There is a major size difference between your little pet and that huge monstrosity! We're going to need an army of those to take it down."
Sari: "Well I don't see you coming up with anything!"
Sparkplug opened its optics and was worried about what to do. But then, it noticed one of the containers and picked up some heavy metals within it. Quickly, it struggled to escape Sari's hug and freed itself, scampering right to that same container. Sari saw it leaving and was worried on what it would do.
Sari: "Sparkplug, where are you going? Get back here!"
The metal creature then approached the container's door and opened its jaw filled with sharp teeth to start eating the metal on the door. The three rushed to the pet and wondered what it was up to. The moment it was done eating the metal in the form of a border, it tilted down towards them as they got out of the way and avoided getting crush. As soon as they were in the clear, the three approached the open hole to see what Sparkplug wanted to show them. Looking inside, the three where surprised at what they saw with eyes and jaws wide. Both Sari and Sam were a little silent about what they see.
Sari: "Oh my…"
But Vince looked to the contents inside the freight and had a devious smile on his face.
Vince: "Oh yeah… Now that Scraplet is talking my language. We can do a lot of damage with this bad boy."
Sam looked to it and was a little hesitant about this.
Sam Witwicky: "Yeah… Sounds like fun, if you know how to start it."
Sari heard that and she too got a smirk of her own.
Sari: "Oh we do know how to start it."
She then turned to her friend and took out her key, chigeling it to him. Sam turned to see the key in front of his face and realized his mistake. He face palmed himself as he screwed himself completely.
Sam Witwicky: "Crap…"
Vince decided to go on ahead and let himself be familiar with his new toy. Sari then casually walked away from Sam as she stated to remind him of the famous Witwicky words.
Sari: "Don't worry Sam, it's going to be a blast! Remember what your great grandfather say, 'No sacrifice, no victory'."
She started to join Vince in starting the beauty Sparkplug had shown them while her pet scurried after her. Meanwhile, Sam remained silent and didn't know what to think.
Sam Witwicky: "Congratulations Sam, way to jinx it."
He then approached the two, fearing what they have planned for this new threat.
Returning to the huge battle, the Autobots were trying to avoid the blasts coming from the Predaking's mouth, as the place rained nothing but fire and melted metal. The group took the retreat, transformed into their vehicle modes, and raced around in many directions to avoid the shots and confused the metal dragon. Meanwhile as it was flying, Bulkhead was still on top of the creature and was holding on for a long time. The entire thrashing and bashing from the beast's movements was already sickening him.
Bulkhead: "Oh… I knew this was a bad idea from the start. Gotta get out of this and slow it down quickly."
Looking around, he noticed some exposed protoform skin underneath its heavy armor. Thinking about it, he came up with a plan as he grabbed one of the spiked spine on its neck and pulled it off with all its might. After all that pulling he managed to ripe the spike off the creature and stabbed it right at the spot of the protoform skin. Predaking could seriously felt it as it shrieked in complete and utter pain. Doing so caused it to spiral to the ground and crashed to the ground. The impact of it forced the Wrecker to fly off the neck and away from the metal dragon, crashing to the other end of the battlefield. It struggled to get a piece of its armor off of its skin as Miko watched on to see her friend down for the moment on her review mirrors, gasping in shock.
Miko/Kaosu: "Bulkhead!"
She pressed on the brakes and turned the steering wheel, drifting to the 180-degree angle to speed right to him. Raf saw her leave and turned and transformed to stop her.
Raf/Firewall: "Miko wait! Don't go there! It's too dangerous!"
But that fail under deaf ears as she sped faster as her tires can. The moment she reached his side, she transformed and ran to him to see if he's all right.
Miko/Kaosu: "Bulk, you okay?"
The Wrecker, who had his back on top of pieces of debris, groaned a little as he turned to his friend and smiled.
Bulkhead: "Yeah, I'm fine. Thank Primus the Apex Armor could take a beating."
The Wrecking cadet smiled and was glad that he was fine and was lucky he didn't suffered something serious. But that was short lived as a metal spike appeared out of nowhere, causing the two to jump from the sudden appearance. Looking up, they saw the Predacon towering over them with a look of sheer anger in its optics. It then roared at them as the two got up and armed themselves for a serious battle. But before they could fight, multiple cables appeared out of the blue and encircle various parts of the body, trapping the creature entirely. The metal dragon felt that as it struggled in getting out while the two Wreckers looked on in utter confusion. But turning to the left, they saw Firewall with all of his cables extending out and keeping the monster at bay, telling them to move.
Raf/Firewall: "Go! Get to someplace safe! I'll keep him down for as long as I could!"
The two nodded and decided to move someplace safer while the hacker held on with all his might. Yet even if the cables are strong, the Predacon is stronger as it used its strength to slowly free itself. With one twist of its body, it pulled Raf away from his position and threw him to the other end, hitting the wall of one container and slanting downward on his head, with the cables spewing all over the floor. He groaned and didn't think that would happen, but looking up, with his head on the floor, he could see the beast approaching his immobile state and was ready to eat him alive with its jaws and mandibles open wide. Yet before it could get a chance to eat him, multiple blasters hit it to the side and it back away in agony. The recruit was confused by this sudden save until he turned to the left to see Bumblebee firing away, looking mad in his optics.
Bumblebee: (Leave Raf alone you freak!)
He continued to fire his barrages right at the Predacon to make it crawl away from the pain. With it temporarily in retreat, Raf decided to leave and got up with his cables retracted back into his compartments. He then quickly, transformed back into his Scion XB and sped away from the fight. With him out of harms away, the scout decided to retreat as well as he turned the opposite direction, changed into his muscle car, and drove away from the threat. Predaking saw him leaving and decided to peruse him before he got blasted from behind. Turning around, he could see Optimus with Altra attending Ratchet with one blaster armed while holding on to a piece of train to keep him on his feet. He kept on firing for a few brief moments just to help out anyway he could. Up at the balcony area, the Cons observed the fight as Starscream thought of the situation in the matter.
Starscream: "This isn't getting us anywhere. Predaking could be tough, but it couldn't destroy the Autobots even if they are at their weakest."
Megatron nodded and thought of a much different approach.
Megatron: "You seem to have a point Starscream. The Autobots are still holding on, giving the depth of the situation they are in. If we are to stop them, then we have no choice in the matter then to go to the source of their bravery."
Looking downward, he could see Optimus still firing away at the monster and thought of a very cunning plan. Turning to his pet, he gave it a direct order.
Megatron: "Predaking! Forget about the Autobots! Go straight to their source! Destroy Optimus Prime!"
The Predacon looked up to the balcony and heard those orders, nodding in agreement. Turning back to the Prime, it roared at him and slowly marches its way to him. Optimus saw this and continued to fire more shots at it, but giving his weak states, his weapon isn't as strong as it used to be. But he continued to fire away as much as he could. Altra, who was still fixing up Ratchet was a little dubious of what's coming, but Ratchet saw it with his own optics and warned the nurse about it.
Ratchet: "Altra, watch out behind you!"
June heard the doctor's words and turned back to see the dragon approaching the three. Finishing the injuries, she looked to him and asks him if he could fight.
June/Altra: "Manage to seal off bleeding and injury, but you have only one arm on you? Think you can fight in your condition?"
Ratchet looked to her and smiled by her worry.
Ratchet: "You're looking at a bot that managed to withstand a Terrorcon outbreak. I think I can handle this."
The nurse smiled before turning back and got serious. Getting up, she armed her blaster and joined Optimus attacking the creature. Ratchet then got up with all his energy, change his only arm into a blaster, and join in the fight. But with their combine firepower, it wasn't enough to hold the beast down. Pretty soon, the others saw this and realized that they were in trouble.
Arcee: "Optimus!"
Fearing for their leader's life, they all sped to that direction just as Predaking was getting closer to the Prime. The moment they got to his side, they all transformed and they were in front of him, having their blasters armed right at the dragon. The Decepticons up on the balcony observed the sudden protectiveness of the team's leader and were interested in that. Knockout rubbed his chin and wanted to see this moment before they die.
Knockout: "This is going to be juicy…"
Back on the ground, the group charged their blasters, ready to take a final stand in save Optimus. Predaking saw them crowded behind their leader and was ready to end it all. Charging its center, it was ready to melt all of them to nothing. Suddenly and unexpectedly, a lone missile hit the creature on the right side and it was screaming in agony. The group looked on and wondered what happened as Megatron saw this in disbelief.
Megatron: "What the… What just happened?!"
Before someone would answer, another lone missile appeared on the same spot and hit the creature again, backing away from the blast. Again the group was confused and didn't know what attacked it. Suddenly, something crashed through a wall of containers and debris and appeared on the scene. Team Prime looked at whatever crashed through and notice a BM-27 Uragan Military truck with a huge missile bed that can fire multiple rockets in one go. But what shocked them the most is that who was driving and operating it. Inside the front seat sat Sari, Sam, and Vince, with Sam on the steering wheel, Sari with her key in the ignition, and Vince operating the bed. Sparkplug was standing there at the front like an ornament as it chirped in excitement seeing the explosions. Vince though looked on with a sleek smile and was ready for another go.
Vince: "All right buddy, time to get extinct!"
Pressing the fire button, the missile bed aimed right at the Predacon and fired multiple rockets right at it. The beast had little time avoiding it as it was overwhelmed by the many rockets firing at it. Starscream saw this in the balcony and was literally irate about it.
Starscream: "What in the All Spark is that human military vehicle doing on the battlefield?! Didn't I tell the drones to dismantle any human vehicle that was still intact after our fusion cannon onslaught? There's no telling if those vehicles could be armed!"
Knockout turned to him and reminded him about that.
Knockout: "Really Starscream? Last time I check, you didn't even say the word and if you reminded yourself about it, you forgot to talk about it."
The second in command turned to him and shush him completely, making sure that the leader didn't hear that. But that was too late as Megs overheard that and peeked to Scream with a sheer disgust to it. The commander turned back to his glare and laughed a little nervously. Back to the main battle, the human teens used the military grade truck with a missile bed to continue to fire away at their target. Predaking stepped back to as the many rockets kept hitting it, blowing up upon impact. Though they didn't destroy it, they were able to weaken it bit by bit. It backed itself to a corner as explosions were all over it as the truck continued to fire away more and more. The missiles surrounded the monster as it was engulfed in flames, making it impossible to see where it was. Once that was over, the three teens got out of the truck as Vince and Sari gave each other a high five while Sam stood back a little bummed.
Sari: "That was TOTALLY WICKED!"
Vince: "You can say that again. With a weapon like that, the dragon didn't see it coming."
Sam though remained a little quiet and didn't want to get involved.
Sam: "Still, I think it wasn't a good idea. You two should know this was dangerous."
Sari turned to her friend and told him it was fine.
Sari: "Doesn't matter, it was so cool."
As soon as she said that, huge looming shadows hovered over them as they look up to see the team with mixed reactions. Some were completely relieved that they saved them, others, like Arcee, were a little upset that they didn't follow the simplest of orders.
Arcee: "Thought we told you to stay put."
Vince looked to her and explained to her the situation.
Vince: "We tried to hide it out, but things got a little too hot for us. Besides, we had to improvise…"
He hit the front of the truck with his hand and felt overly confident. The two-wheeler looked to him oddly and finds that response to be a little bit off. With a bit of a sly smile, she responded the best that she could.
Arcee: "Uh-huh… You certainly know how to wing it Vince. The only question is…"
She turned to the flames where the Predacon was burning and felt a little worried.
Arcee: "Did we get that freak?"
The others soon approached her as they wait to see what happens next. Suddenly, they get their answer as the flames exploded and burning debris and metal flew right at them. Wheeljack got to the front of the group as he took his Polarity Gauntlet out and aimed it right at the incoming projectiles. Pushing the button, the orangey hue surrounded the flying objects and stopped them in mid air. Suddenly, something flew up out of the flames and soared high into the air. Looking up to the sky they saw Predaking filled completely with burn marks and have a murderous look to its face. Miko could see this and was now scared as ever.
Miko/Kaosu: "Uh… No, it's still alive and it's playing the Jaws theme."
The dragon looked down to them and roared right at them, ready to kill every single last one of them. Wheeljack, gave a stern looked and decided to retaliate.
Wheeljack: "In that case, let's harpoon this scrapper before it could chomp on us."
The moment he flipped another switch, he flung the burning debris right back at the Predacon. The debris flew right at it and some of it hit the creature. Still, it was completely unphased as a spread its wings and was prepared to strike back. Arcee got her blasters armed and told the others to do the same.
Arcee: "Get ready team, this Predacon means business! Smokescreen, Bumblebee, protect Optimus and Ratchet. Don't let them get killed! Vince, you, Sari, and Sam get back to that truck to provide some covering fire. It looks like we're going to need some extra fire power after all."
Everyone nodded as they got into position. The team got in front to charge up their blasters, Bee and Smoke got behind their leader and medic to protect them, and the human teens went back to the combat truck to prepare for an aerial assault. With everyone in place, the metallic monster shrieked as it swoops down to begin the strike.
As the fight was going on outside, inside Darkmount is a different atmosphere. On the twentieth floor, two Vehicon drones were guarding the treasury room after the Autobots raided most of the relics. Because of it, Megatron ordered two drones to keep watch of the remaining relics. As they were guarding, one of the drones asked something.
Vehicon 24: "So, what's going on out there? Been hearing a lot of explosions outside."
The second drone looked to him and explained what was going on.
Vehicon 25: "Megatron had released his pet against the Autobots. Sounds like that thing is having the time of its life. Wish I could've seen it instead of sitting on my aft watching the remaining relics. Waste of my good time."
Vehicon 24: "Oh come on man. Megatron ordered us to stay here because the Autobots took most of the relics from the treasury. We're lucky enough to have even have those weapons welded by the Primes, since none of them are Prime material."
Vehicon 25: "Still seems a little pointless though, being that those Autoscum are going to die soon with that beast they've unleash. Pretty sure they won't even get to the remaining relics once the Predacon has its way with them."
There was a bit of silence until the other drone spoke up.
Vehicon 24: "Want to make a bet out of it?"
The Con looked to his comrade and smiled to himself.
Vehicon 25: "You're on. Ten energon cubes says the Autobots won't last for ten breams."
Vehicon 24: "Five breams and twenty cubes says they won't make it."
Vehicon 25: "Deal!"
The two then remained at their posts as they wait to see if anyone comes. But then, they heard a strange sound, like an engine running at top speed. One of them heard it and turned to the other.
Vehicon 24: "You hear that."
The second guard listened in and could hear the same thing.
Vehicon 25: "Yeah, I heard that. Sounds like an engine heading towards us."
They all turned to the right and noticed a Hummer H2 heading straight to them. Thinking its one of the intruder, they turned to that direction and pointed their blasters at him.
Vehicon 25: "Hold it right there!"
But the Hummer didn't listened as he went to maximum overdrive and made a mad dash right to the two. The drones decided to attack the vehicle before it could reach them.
Vehicon 25: "Open fire!"
The two fired at the Hummer as it transformed and began the attack.
Inside the treasury, the sound of gunfire was heard on the outside as the drones kept on firing. After that, there was sounds fist combat until everything died down. As soon as everything was silent, the doors slowly started to open as a lone figure started to enter, dragging the two unconscious guards behind him. That was indeed Jack as he was acting differently then he normally was. Dropping the two guards, he approached the wall that hung both the Star Saber sword and the Forge of Solus Prime. The moment he looked right at them, they started to react as the sword glowed and the gears in the middle of the hammer started to turn, sensing that a Prime is close by. Looking at the two, Rodimus knew what to do as he switched his servo into a stub of his broken sword. Picking up the Forge hammer, he was ready to get himself an upgrade.
Outside, the battle was extremely intense as Team Prime was firing on all cylinders. Blasters were firing, missiles were soaring, hits here being made and explosions were everywhere as the team tried their damndest to destroy Predaking. But no matter what they throw at it, it was still flying around and avoided everything it could. Arcee, Smokescreen, and Wheeljack used their blasters to fire energy projectiles right at the creature, but it flew high and the projectiles didn't reach it. Vince and the other teens were in the BM-27 Uragan as he aimed higher and fired more missiles right at it. The dragon soared gracefully as each rocket missed it from behind. Vince saw this and was getting a little upset.
Vince: "C'mon, C'MON! Hold still so I could shoot you down!"
Sam groaned and was a little annoyed by the bully's anger.
Sam Witwicky: "Keep yelling at it all you want, that thing won't listen to you."
Vince turned to him and argued back.
Vince: "I don't see you coming up with any idea to destroying it! Just let me do my business and you do yours, whatever it is."
He pushed the button again and fired more missiles at it. Sam sighed and told Sari about this bully.
Sam Witwicky: "Wow, the others were right. This guy is dangerous."
Sari though looked to him and smiled at his own two cents.
Sari: "At least he's on our side. Imagine if he was not."
Back in the air, the Predacon flew all over the place and avoided every rocket that Vince fired. Thinking the sky was getting crowded, it swoop down and headed straight to the military vehicle. The three saw this and could tell that they were in trouble.
Sam Witwicky: "So, should we leave now?"
The two nodded and were about to get out of the vehicle. But before things could get worse, Miko and Bulkhead appeared in front of the truck and readied their fists and hammers at them. With a quick swing, the two hit the creature straight in the face, sending it flying back and crashing through some debris. The two Wreckers smirked and were glad that they saved some lives. Looking back, Kaosu checked to see if they're fine.
Miko/Kaosu: "You three all right?"
The human teens look to her and nodded with hesitation as the Scraplet blinked its optics a little. With a slight smile, she looked back as she and Bulk wait for something to happen. Suddenly, the Predacon came out of the rubble and flew towards the two Wreckers. The Wrecking Cadet got in front of her friend and switched her hammers to her sonic cannons while getting her shoulder-mounted rockets up. Putting the two cannons together, she fired the energy wave and pushed the beast back a bit. Once it's at good enough range, she fired her rockets and hit it to the back, blowing up on impact. Yet it's still standing as it turned to see the Optimus and Ratchet being protected by Smokescreen and Bumblebee. Seeing that, it stomped to them and was ready to devour them all. The Japanese femme saw this and warned them about it.
Miko/Kaosu: "Guys! It's coming!"
It roared right at them, as it was ready for kill. The scout and Elite Guard member got their blasters armed and fired away as the energy projectiles deflected its tough armor. The Prime and Ratchet could tell that they needed some serious help, so they got their blasters up and joined in on the fight. Still, the combined blaster fire still wasn't enough to slow it down. It kept on getting closer and closer as it opened its jaws to bite anyone down. Before the group prepared for the worse, Firewall arrived at the scene and decided to finish this bout once and for all. Charging his tazer blasters, he fired two strong shots at it and the Predacon was electrocuted, letting it scream in complete and utter pain. With it immobile, it gave the others a chance to strike back. Arcee and Wheeljack rushed right at it and jumped high into the air, deploying their blades and swords to delivery a cutting blow. Both managed to connect and there were deep gashes on its face. Altra joined in too as she, Bee, and Smoke ran right to it to perform their own moves. The two mech's did a little synchronize kicking to go straight to the helm while June jumped up with her surgical blades out to impale it in between the optics. Jumping out of the way, Bulkhead and Kaosu performed the same moves again and with Apex Armor and gravity hammers, smacked it one more time in the face, sending it flying through more containers as the contents were scattered about. The group watched on and wondered if they were able to kill it. But then, the Predaking begins to stir as it was trying to get up from the attack. Arcee looked on and was sighing in aggravation.
Arcee: "We gave it all we got and it's still standing! Doesn't this Predacon ever die?"
Smokescreen the joined in and was ready for another go.
Smokescreen: "Doesn't matter how many hits will give it. We'll keep fighting until he's nothing but a fossil again!"
As they stood their ground, the Predacon regained its senses and had to think of a way in taking them all down. Placing a clawed servo on something, it felt and crush followed by liquid pouring. Looking down it noticed a liquid substance that was blue and glowing lowly. In it's processor, it knew the liquid was energon and also knows that it can be volatile when flames are around it. Looking at this, it came up with a really good idea in taking them all down. Spreading its wings, it lifted off on the ground and flew high into the air. The team saw this as Arcee told them to keep shooting.
Arcee: "It's taking off again! Ground it!"
The group deployed whatever weapons they have and fired away. All around it, blasters, rockets, and debris were being thrown right at it. But the dragon flew so high that the projectiles couldn't reach it. The moment it was high enough, the creature looked down to see some of the containers containing earth fuel from the vehicles and energon canisters, enough combustion to blow everything up. It center then started to charge up with high enough power to destroy everything in one shot. The group looked on and wondered what it was planning.
June/Altra: "Okay, what's that thing doing?"
The other femme looked at it to and began to think of the same thing. But then, she looked down to see the exposed energon canisters and realized what it's going to do. Turning to the others, she told them to make a break for it.
Arcee: "Run! Get away from the energon!"
The group looked down to it and realized that they were in serious trouble. Quickly, they started to run as Ratchet was carrying Prime with his only arm. Even the human teens got out of the truck with Sari removing the key from the ignition as they know that the gas in it is a living death trap. As the monster got its fire up to fully charge, it transferred that power up to the mouth, took a deep breath, and fired a huge enough fireball as it headed down to the team. The moment the flames hit the energon and fuel from one end, it created a huge explosion and sent a chain reaction all across the courtyard. Soon enough, the place was at a plum to smoke, fire, and explosions as you can see it in slow motion. The group tried to escape as much as they could, but with no way out, it was impossible to get out of the explosionfest. The moment the blasts got closer, the group prepared themselves for the intensity of the blast. Bulkhead noticed the kids running next to him and they won't be able to make it out as fast as they could. So he quickly scooped them up and held them tight while Sparkplug clutched into Sari's arm, as it was completely fearful for what is about to happen. As soon as the force of the blast came to them, they were all pushed forward and were doused in flames. The explosions lasted a few short seconds until the courtyard was nothing but a smoldering aftermath. The Autobots survived the sudden attack, but they were the worse for ware. Their armor was seared, their bodies damaged, and most of them were buried in rubble. Bulkhead was well protected with his Apex Armor on, but he was buried under heavy debris, struggling to get out. The humans were next to him, but they were all completely unconscious as the Scraplet tired to wake its master up. Optimus through was in worse for ware as he was a little seared, but still online. He opened his flickering optics as he looked up to see Predaking landing right in front to him and roared to total victory. Back up on the balcony, the Decepticons watched in sheer glee that the Autobots were taken down very easily. Even Megatron was very pleased at Shockwave's latest work as the science officer turned to him and repeated what he said before.
Shockwave: "As I said before my liege, highly unstoppable."
The leader nodded and was pleased with the dragon's work. Looking down to the prone body of Prime, he smiled and told the leader that he had lost.
Megatron: "Well Prime, it would seem that you and your team has failed. But it's fairly obvious that you were all doomed the moment you've entered my citadel. Though I must insist, I'm surprised that you have all come here to die within my territory. If I didn't know you were all coming, I wouldn't have had my men search for you all over the world, let alone my precious pet come and hunt you down individually. Now that you are here in my presence, killing all of you will make it much easier. I will have my Predacon tear each of you apart one by one, starting with you Optimus. And once you are all terminated, I will rule this world any way I see fit. And don't worry; I'll take good care of the humans…"
He then look down to the Predacon and gave it the order he always wanted to say.
Megatron: "Predaking, DESTROY OPTIMUS PRIME!"
The creature looked up to its master and remained silent for a moment. But then, looking down to him, it roared and slowly approached the leader. The others looked on and tried to save him, but giving they were brutally wounded and they can't stand up for themselves. Arcee looks to the leader and was in deep fear.
Arcee: "Optimus… No…"
The creature was close enough to the leader to begin the execution. Standing up high, its center started to charge up its center to full power, enough to melt him completely. The power then transferred in to its mouth and was ready to kill.
Megatron: "So long old friend, it's been a pleasure fighting against you."
Optimus starred at it and knew his time is just about to come. Closing his optics, he's ready to join the Well of the All Spark.
Optimus Prime: "Till all are one…"
The beast opened its jaws and was prepared to fire. Unbeknownst to anyone, someone was coming that would change the course of the battle. Up on the twentieth floor, a Hummer H2 jumped out of the hole and made an immediate decent towards the courtyard. During the long fall, the Hummer transformed into a mech and kept falling into the position of a skydiver, folding his body to create a deeper dive. Closing in on his target, he took something strapped to his back and lifted it high over his helm. Just seconds before the creature could finish the Prime off, the individual came down on it and hit it in the head with a huge hammer, grounding it completely and leaving it completely unconscious. The Autobots and humans managed to regain consciousness as they looked on and were shocked to see what just happened. Even the Cons watched on in total disbelief, as the warlord couldn't believe that the Prime was saved.
Megatron: "What in the name of Unicron!?
Optimus saw this as well as the dust started to settle and the lone figure slowly walked through the smoke. Slowly approaching the leader, he placed what is the Forge hammer on the ground and stood tall. Arcee looked up at this mysterious mech and realized who he was."
Arcee: "Jack?"
The others blinked and could tell that what she's saying is all-true.
June/Altra: "He's alive… My son is alive…"
Indeed, it was Jack, as he stood tall with the Forge next to him. But something was completely off about him. Optimus looked on and noticed that he was different. For one, he had his mouthgaurd and visor on the whole time as he didn't retracted it to show his face. Secondly, he was awfully quiet as his posture showed some form of bravery. Almost looks like the leader himself when he started becoming a Prime. But it can't be, could it? Just as they all thought that it was all over, Predaking was beginning to stir and slowly got up with a major headache. Looking to former teen, it could tell that it was him that pounded it in the head. Snarling at him, it was ready for some serious revenge. Megatron look down to the battle and was a little disappointed that one of them got away.
Megatron: "So you survived the fly around boy. I'm quite impressed. But I'm afraid you've made the biggest mistake of your life. Predaking, forget the Prime. Attack the young mech!"
Predaking turned to the Decepticon leader and then back at the teen, roaring right at him. Rodimus look to it and didn't have the look of fear as he slowly walks to the dragon. Strangest thing is that he still wasn't afraid; it was like he was standing his ground. The team looked on and wondered if he was crazy.
Vince: "What the… What is Darby doing? Has he lost his mind?!"
Sari blinked and was worried about this too.
Sari: "I don't know. But he's certainly looking for a death wish."
Jack's mother though looked to her son and was completely scared to death.
June/Altra: "Jack, no! Don't go near that thing! It will kill you!"
Yet Jack didn't listen, as he was getting closer to the creature. Predaking looked on and wondered what he was up to. But it won't take any chances as it prowled around, waiting to make its first moves. Slowly, walking towards it, Jack decided to deploy his weapons. He started in activating his energy shield as it glowed brightly. But when he flexed his other servo, the gears shifted slowly and a new sword was slowly coming out of it. The both factions watched on as the sword slowly came into view. Everyone's eyes grew wide as they saw something they didn't expect.
Bulkhead: "No way…"
Sam Witwicky: "Whoa…"
Ratchet: "That's impossible…"
Arcee starred at him for a few good seconds and was so confused at what she was seeing.
Arcee: "Jack? What in the world…"
Even the Decepticons looked down on the balcony and was horrified of what they were witnessing. Megatron especially since it was the last thing he wanted to see.
Megatron: "No… This cannot be…"
But indeed it is. Rodimus had switched his servo into what appears to be the Star Saber sword; only it was small then normal so it could match his frame. It then started to glow brightly from the blade as if it was ready for battle. Almost instantly, Jacks optics begins to glow as it was showing underneath his visor. Optimus looked on and couldn't believe that Jack would possess a weapon that the Primes can only use. He could even felt something in the teen's spark chamber and is very familiar to him. Could it be the Matrix of Leadership? But then, he remembered about what Alpha Trion said to him.
Alpha Trion: "A new Prime will be born on this planet."
Listening to that, he soon realized what had happened. The prophecy, the new Prime, the Key of Vector Sigma he gave Jack. It all makes perfect sense! And Jackson seems to be the catalyst within it all. Looking onward, he remained silent and knew all has come true.
Optimus Prime: "The prophecy has been foretold… The new Prime has arrived…"
The both factions watched on in total shock as this new Prime stood his ground as the Predacon paced back and forth, keeping its optics on its prey. With one loud roar, it charged right to the former team with jaws opened wide and ready to pounce. Rodimus got into a defensive stance with his shield in the front, waiting for the right moment in striking. Almost immediately, the Predacon jumped up and made the strike, but with a war cry, Jack wind his energy shield back and smacked the metallic dragon in the head with an impactful blow, causing it to creane to the side and skidded through the rubble as explosions followed suit. The groups watched on in surprise, as the Wrecking cadet was incredibly ecstatic.
Miko/Kaosu: "Whoa! Did you see that?! He didn't do that, did he?"
The Decepticons saw this too and were even more shock that the Predacon just got taken down easily. Knockout watched on and didn't know what to say.
Knockout: "Well, didn't expect that in a long run."
But Megatron looked at it in complete disgust as he told Shockwave's creation to fight back.
Megatron: "Predaking, do not give up! DESTROY HIM!"
Predaking recovered quickly got back up, roaring as fire flow out of its mouth. Jack positioned himself and was ready for another bout with the beast as the charged in a perform multiple swipes. The teen gracefully ducked and dodged them all while using his glowing Star Saber to do his own cutting. The metallic dragon backed away from the attack and used its fire breathing to melt away at the new Prime. But Rodimus placed his shield in front of him and charged it up with enough power to protect himself from the incoming projectiles. Lowering his shield, he starred the creature down with glowing optics and just had had it with the monstrosity. Running up to it, it positioned its sword and was ready to strike. The Predacon lifted its claw up and was about to cut him to bits, yet he ducked down while running and made a huge slide to avoid the attack. Jumping up, he made a quick leap and flew up to the to its face, giving it a quick cut to the cheek. He then landed on the other end and turned to see what he had done. Predaking looked to him as its check where the cut took place had energon bleeding out of it. Seething, it shrieked and charged right at him, using its own head as a battering ram to hit and pushed him away. Launching him off in the air, Rodimus felt it all and did a quick corkscrew to properly position himself and landed on a mountain of scrap metal. Switching his weapons with his blasters, he begins firing away at the monster as the shots bounced off of it. Feeling agitated, it used its tail to commit a swing and hit. Unfortunate for Predaking, it was pretty much a swing and miss as Jack jumped off the mountain and let the pieces of metal fly all over the place. He then landed on a container and continued on firing. The Predacon did the same thing and used its tail to hit him, yet he jumped again and the tail hit nothing but the container, pushing it to the others. Flying over the dragon, he went upside down and hit multiple shots at the creature. That was a mistake as the creature lifts its tail up and snatched him in mid air. Lowering him to its level, the beast used its tail to thrash him left and right, hitting him with anything that's close by. The former teen could feel each hit and had to get out desperately. With his free hand, he changed it back to his Star Saber sword and swung it downward, right through the tail. The new Prime was free from the grip and made an escape while beast screamed as its tail was cut and energon was pouring around in any direction. The Autobots watched on and was amazed by Jack's amazing feat.
Smokescreen: "Wow! Never really thought he could do all of that. Didn't even think we trained him to do all that."
Arcee looked on to and could tell that her partner was much different then she thought, yet very familiar.
Arcee: "I don't think we trained him for something like that. It's almost like he's fighting on his own. Like that of a Prime…"
The Cons looked onward at the Balcony and couldn't believe that Predacon was being dominated by this new Prime. Scream had a devious look as he told Megatron that it wasn't working.
Starscream: "Huh… Looks like Shockwave's little creation is not living to its expectations. Perhaps we should reconsider."
Megs remained quiet, as he didn't know what to do. Looking downward at the wounded team as they were recovering and decided on a counter plan. Turning back to his pet, he told it about it.
Megatron: "Forget about the boy Predaking. Focus your energy on the Autobots. Destroy them before they could fully recover!"
Looking back to the Decepticon leader, it turned to the team and decided to take them down instead. Charging up its center and moving it to its mouth, it started to fire right at them with enough energy to melt them to nothing. Jack saw this and had to save them all before they got destroyed. Transforming into his vehicle mode, the pressed the gas pedal hard and sped his way to his friends. The Autobots and humans were still recovering, but they didn't have time to escape from the fiery path, so they braced themselves for their end. But Rodimus got there in time and transformed behind the group. With his sword out and charged, he planted it on the ground and performed a forceful blow, splitting the fire in two saving everyone. The groups looked at the flames around them and were silent to see Jack perform such a feat. Shockwave saw this as well with the other Cons and was impressed by it.
Shockwave: "How impressive… The way this young mech could use the Star Saber sword is very effective."
Knockout turned to the scientist and couldn't believe what he heard.
Knockout: "Wait, who's side are you on?"
Megatron ignored this and decided that this won't get him anywhere unless the new Prime is around. Turning back to Predaking he decided to put a stop to this once and for all.
Megatron: "Stop the boy by any means necessary! I will not have him ruining all of my plans!"
The Predacon overheard him and roared for one huge battle. Opening its wings, it launched off the ground and flew high in the air. Jack looked up to see it flying and knew it was planning to attack in the air. Looking onward, he knew what to do. Looking downward to see a ramp of some kind, he transformed into his Hummer and raced to that very ramp. Once the beast was at a distance, it fired multiple shots right at the former teen, trying to apply the breaks on him. He managed to swivel left and right managing to avoid each and every shot while making the B line for the ramp. Figuring that that didn't work, it went to the offensive and swooped down to attack him head on. Seeing this strategy, Jack took that opportunity and went to maximum overdrive with speeds over a hundred miles per hour. By the time he reached the ramp, he hit it and flew in the air the same time Predaking was close to him. Spinning in vehicle form, he transformed midway and stood in the air with his arm up and his new sword armed and glowing for the final blow. Predaking did the same as it drew its claws up to cut the new Prime in the air. Both gave out their war cries as both teams watched in dead silence to see what would happen next. As soon as the two collided, they struck their weapons at the same time and made a huge switch sound, all in different angles. Time had simply stopped as the two opponents were suspended in animation for that very moment. Time simply got back to normal as the two fell to the ground and landed on their pedes and clawed feet with there backs turned to each other. Both Autobots and Decepticons were in absolute dead silence as they wondered what had happened. During that time, both the new Prime and the Predacon stood emotionless still until Jack shifted his new blade to a viewing standpoint, revealing the beast's energon. As soon as he did that, Predaking started to scream in agony as it thrashed about without any thought or reason. Turning to him, it made a huge enough roar at him as its main core on the chest is cut in a diagonal front, sparking and short circuiting. Just as soon as it roared in pain, it was interrupted and it exploded as pieces of the dragon scattered all over the place with what's left of the head landing right next to Jack. The teams starred at the end result blankly, as none of them couldn't believe what the Autobot recruit can do something like that. Megatron though looked at that horribly and couldn't believe that his ultimate weapon was destroyed by a teenage boy. But Jack was no ordinary teenage boy. He slowly turned up to the balcony and starred at the warlord coldly with his glowing white optics. Megatron looked on at him and was in absolute fear. At first, Optimus holding the Star Saber sword was bad enough, but this? This is 110 times worse. Without making any turns, he got his sword in position and quickly pivoted, swinging his sword right at the statue of the Decepticon leader. A wave of energy soon came out of the blade and soared right to the statue, cutting it clean off the foundation. The statue then started to slant as it started to fall, right to the balcony full of Cons. Megatron looked on and was in a major panic mode while the others were as fearful as him.
Megaton: "No… No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Suddenly, the statue hit the balcony, as it broke apart with metal debris falling down like rain. When the smoke cleared, all that's left was huge rubble of twisted metal with the Decepticons buried underneath it. The Autobots observed that last incident and didn't have any words from it. The only reaction was Kaosu as she activated her optics and took a quick pic of the horrendous aftermath. Wheeljack looked to her and was a bit hesitant to react to the cadet's actions.
Wheeljack: "Really… You want to take a photo of that?"
She turned to him and gave a slight chuckle.
Miko/Kaosu: "Hey, something as epic as this should really be added in the scrapbook."
Altra, now fully recovered, got up and slowly walk up to her son, still worried of what he's going to do next.
June/Altra: "Jack? Honey? Is that you in there?"
The new Prime slowly turned to his mother as was still glowing in his optics, yet unsheathed his sword into his arm. The two starred at each other for a few good seconds until Arcee managed to recover as well and joined her just as perplexed as the nurse.
Arcee: "Partner?"
He looked at both of them and remained silent for a bit. But then, something strange happened. He started to feel woozy as he teetered back and forth and fall right in front of them. Both femmes optics were wide as they rushed to him and managed to grab him before he falls flat on his face.
Altra and Arcee: "Jack!"
Once they managed to grab him, they turned him over to see the glowing optics faded completely and the visor and mouth guard opened up to reveal a sleeping mech. Soon enough Ratchet approached him and even though he has one arm, scanned the recruit to see if he was all right. June look to him and asked about it.
June/Altra: "Well Ratchet. Is something wrong with my son?"
After making a quick scan, he shook his head and explains the diagnosis.
Ratchet: "His energon level is normal, and his spark rate is at acceptable levels. My guess, the energy coming out of that sword must've drained him during the battle and he's in deep stasis. Could take him a while for him to reboot and be back to normal. But I don't get is how can he wield a weapons that's meant for a Prime?"
Before he could get an answer, he overheard the voice of Optimus as he gave him one.
Optimus Prime: "Because he is a Prime."
All three of them turned to see the rest of the team approaching them with Optimus being carried by Bumblebee and Smokescreen. The leader then continued explaining his reason.
Optimus Prime: "It's hard to imagine, but it would seem that the original Primes have seen Jack's potential and made him a future Prime to help win the war. I could feel the Matrix of Leadership coursing in his spark chamber and gifted him with the strength, knowledge, and courage to stand his ground and defeat the Predacon."
Bulkhead then came up with his Apex Armor still on and holding the Forge hammer, thinking about the Saber sword Jack used.
Bulkhead: "Judging by the sword he's packing, he must've used the Forge to wield it into his weapon systems and modify it to fit his size. Got to say, takes a lot of guts to pull something that risky."
The leader looked right at him and nodded in agreement.
Optimus Prime: "You are correct in that assumption Bulkhead. Because of this, his heroic efforts have not only saved us, but also give us hope to win this war once and for all."
Smokescreen overheard all of this and couldn't help but to smile.
Smokescreen: "Huh… So the kid got it in him and had his own destiny. You would've thunk it?"
June look down to her sleeping son and couldn't believe what she was hearing.
June/Altra: "You mean to tell me that my only son is a Prime. Wow… At first I thought of him going to college and getting a girl would be a problem. But saving the world? I… This is a lot for a mother to take."
Arcee looks to her and eased her troubled mind.
Arcee: "I know this is too much to handle June, but what Jack did saved us all. You should be thankful for that."
The mother turned to the two-wheeler and smiled halfly.
June/Altra: "Yeah… I should be proud. My baby boy is growing up, and I'm thankful for that."
There a bit of quiet within the group and they tried to process what had happened. But then, they all heard the sound of banging coming from the remains of the fallen statue and looked on to see a little movement. Sari looked down to her worried pet and could tell what it meant.
Sari: "Uh guys? I think Megatron isn't done with us yet. And he'll be extremely pissed the moment he gets out of there."
Looking at the rubble moving, Ratchet decided that now would be a good time to go.
Ratchet: "We've managed to survive the Predacon onslaught, but I don't think we have enough in us to stop whatever else he's cooking up. We better get out of Darkmount and fast!"
Miko then look to him and thought that was impossible.
Miko/Kaosu: "Uh, hello! Are you forgetting something? Our way out of here is all the way up on the top floor and that place must be packed with Cons. We can't contact Sumdac to get us out and there's no way we're going to go back up!"
Raf thought of it and came up with an alternative plan.
Raf/Firewall: "Maybe there is another way out."
They all turned to him and wondered what he was talking about.
Ratchet: "What is it Raf?"
He looked to all of them and talks to them his plan.
Raf/Firewall: "When we were reaching the comm. facility, we've stumbled upon a spacebridge hub that can take the Decepticons anywhere across the globe. It would make it easier to go in and out without hitting a barrier. If we can set the coordinates to the base in Lake Eerie, we might be able to make an escape."
Ratchet: "And what about the Cons? You think that they might locate us form the recent marker?"
Raf/Firewall: "I'll find a way in covering our tracks."
Arcee looks to the rubble and could see what appears to be Megatron's sharp digits emerging from the mess. Knowing it's now or never, she looks to the others and told them that it will work.
Arcee: "It's our only chance out of here. Do you know the way?"
Turning to the hacker, he nodded and answered back.
Raf/Firewall: "I believe so. We've been running around the place to get to our destination, I think I have it in memory. That and I've downloaded the map of Darkmount into my mini computer."
The femme nodded and told the others to make a move.
Arcee: "Well what are we waiting for? Let's get out of this place before Soundwave locks us in again. Move it!"
Quickly the group ran to the nearest door as all of them unlock themselves as Soundwave went unconscious from the impact. As they were about leaving, the metal debris of the statue blew up as Megatron burst free while Starscream, Soundwave, Knockout, and Shockwave managed to survive to impact of the statue, all looking a little bit banged up and bleeding energon a little bit. Looking onward, he could see the team entering through the doorway and making a quick get away. As the doors closed, the leader was seething and ordered anyone that survived to go after them.
Megatron: "Stop them! Don't let them escape!"
Inside the hallway, a group of drones were guarding the area, looking for anything suspicious. But as they were keeping watch, they noticed something big coming their way. Upon closer examination, they notice what appears to be Bulkhead wearing his Apex armor and had the Forge hammer strapped to his back. The group saw this and fired their blasters at him, but the armor deflected the projectiles. With one quick move, he shoved all the drones down to the ground and made a clearing.
Bulkhead: "Out of the way!"
Following behind Bulkhead were the rest of the team. Firewall, Wheeljack, and Kaosu were behind him with the human teens on their shoulders as the hacker was in the middle, investigating the map. Arcee and June were running while carrying Rodimus's unconscious body. Bumblebee and Smokescreen were behind them holding to Optimus since he still can't use his legs. And Ratchet wasn't far behind, as he was holding his own with his one arm. They ran through the hall as Raf looked to the map to see if they are near. Checking the map, the told the others where to go.
Raf/Firewall: "Go left!"
Quickly, the group went left as they saw more drones standing there and fired away. Again, Bulkhead was at the front and protected the team and he plowed them all down with a steam-rolling move. With the hallway clear, Raf checked the map again and saw their next spot.
Raf/Firewall: "Make a right!"
They then turned to the right as they encountered a group of Tankicons and Combaticons standing there and were ready to fire back. Wheeljack immediately got to the front of Bulk and turned on his polarity gauntlet. With a quick flick of a wrist, he fired a pulse of orange energy and pushed them and magnetize them to the walls.
Raf/Firewall: "Straight ahead!"
The group continued to run as they were getting near their location. Not far behind, Megatron and a group of Cons were going after the Autobots, knowing where they were going.
Megatron: "After them! If I know where they're going, they will leave with their Prime!"
So the group kept on running as they were getting to Team Prime as fast as they could.
At the spacebridge hub, the Cons were on stand by as they wait for drones to come in and come out. Two Airadicons were keeping watch when they heard a knock at the metal door. Both looked at each other and wondered what that's all about. Facing the door, it opened up and they saw Bulkhead with his fist held tight.
Bulkhead: "Hi there…"
Pushing forward, he punched one guard and used his backhand to take down the other. The rest of the Cons looked on and reacted by firing right at the Wrecker. He got his arms crossed as he protected himself from the blasts. But getting out of the way, Kaosu and Firewall were behind him and fired both their tazer blasters and sonic cannons right at the group, electrocuting them and knocking them out of commission. As the room was cleared, the group immediately went into the room, as Ratchet was right behind. Looking back, he could see the Decepticons running to them with Megatron leading the way.
Megatron: "They're in the Spacebridge Hub! Stop them!"
Looking at the console for the door, he pointed his blaster to it and fired away, destroying it completely and shutting the door tight. Stopping at the front, Megatron banged on it hard and couldn't believe they got there. Turning to Starscream, he ordered him to get some serious help.
Megatron: "Send in some heavies to smash that door! The Autobots must not escape.
Back inside the hub, Raf has already gain access to the main consoles as he used his cables to bypass a few security fields and entering the map locator. Ratchet approached him and asked about the progress.
Ratchet: "Well Raf, what's the status?"
Raf starred at the data streaming in his visor as he explained the situation.
Raf/Firewall: "Just about there. Had to breach a few defense barriers and then get the mapping grid online. Now I need to install the coordinates to our base and we'll have a way out."
Ratchet looked on to see the map locating the base in Lake Eerie. As he was doing that, Ratchet asked about how to remove the location.
Ratchet: "And do you have a way in clearing up and last log? The last thing I want is to have the Cons attacking another one of our bases."
Raf/Firewall: "I'm already working on it. Once I got the location marked I can install a virus to clear off recent location markers to prevent them from finding us. Might take five minutes though."
There was a sudden bang at the door as everyone looked to it and sees a dent at the door. Just then, another bang at the door and another dent appeared. Fearing the worse, the medic turned to him and told him to hurry.
Ratchet: "We don't have five minutes! We need to get out of here!"
The hacker nodded as he put the coordinates down to the base. Once he pressed enter, one of the bridges were activated and the bridge opened up to the Autobot base. Once he did that, he turned to the others and told them to move.
Raf/Firewall: "The bridge is opened, everyone get in now!"
The group turned to the opened bridge and decided to follow his advice. They started with the wounded as Bumblebee and Smokescreen brought Optimus into the bridge, then Arcee and June brought the new Prime in. The humans then got down to the floor with the help of their friends and ran to the bridge as well. Once they were in the clear, Wheeljack and Bulkhead got in and made to the base safely. During that time, the door started to break through as the Cons were about in. Ratchet looked to it and could tell that they were in serious trouble.
Ratchet: "Optimus and Jack have made it safely, we have to go now!"
Firewall turned to him and told him that he isn't finished yet.
Raf/Firewall: "But I haven't installed the virus yet."
Ratchet: "We don't have time for that! We have to go!"
Miko looked to the door and had to do something to help everyone. Looking to the computer, she came up with a plan.
Miko/Kaosu: "You guys go ahead, I'll catch up."
Ratch look to her and was shocked as what he heard.
Ratchet: "You're certain that you can take them on by yourself?!"
The Wrecking cadet looked to him and smirked to herself.
Miko/Kaosu: "Who said I was going to fight them when I can to stop them in getting to us? Now go!"
The two looked at each other and wondered if she knows what she's doing. Looking back at the door that was about to break, they decided to follow her advice and ran to the bridge. Once they were through, Miko waited for them to come in and she'll pull off her plan. After a few short seconds, the door burst through and two Insecticons made it in, shrieking in success. Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Knockout, and Shockwave stepped through followed by a group of Decepticon drones. Looking around, they realized that the room was completely empty with the exception of Kaosu and an opened bridge tunnel. Looking onward, Megs realized what happened and told the others what to do.
Megatron: "They have opened a bridge out of Darkmount! Go after them!"
But Miko got the opportunity and armed up her cannons.
Miko/Kaosu: "Allow me!"
To that end, she fired both her rockets and they hit the computer console, blowing it up completely and destroying the location of the base. Satisfied, she ran to the bridge and disappeared as the bridge closed off completely. Megatron shielded himself from the blast as he and the others were blinded by the explosion. By the time they could actually see, they noticed not only the team gone, but also the computer that had their last location destroyed completely. The leader looked on in disbelief as all that work has gone down to drain. His dental seething as he clenched his fists and yelled out loud in completely and utter defeat. Knockout looked at this mess and rubbed his chin, saying something completely snarky.
Knockout: "Well, this was embarrassing."
The commander heard that and backhands him to the face, knocking him down and angrily yelled at him.
Starscream: "Embarrassing? EMBARRASSING!? The Autobots have simply ruined everything! Send in a recovery unit to find survivors and take them to the medical wing. Have a clean up crew fix that mess in the courtyard. Now that the team have two Primes, it will spell troubles for all of us. We need to repair this damage fast before-"
Just as he said that, they heard a faint laughing of their leader and turned to him to see his laughing louder and manically. The commander face palmed himself and realized that their gracious leader had snapped badly.
Starscream: "Oh boy… He simply lost it…"
Approaching him, he investigated his leader's sudden change of mood. He tried to snap him out of it until he decided in delivering a couple of slap.
Starscream: "Lord Megatron. Lord Megatron, get a grip."
Bad mistake as Megatron simply punched him in the face and he was hit to the wall. Feeling a little dazed, he rubbed his chin and didn't expect that happening.
Starscream: "Argh… Good grip…"
Just as he said that, Megatron looked on at the bridges and had a bit of empathy.
Megatron: "So, the Autobots now have a new Prime in their ranks. This would make conquering the planet a whole lot interesting."
He laughed lowly, as he was ready to face this new threat.
Finally, I'm finished with this chapter! This was a lot of work and I put a lot of effort into it. Not to mention that I had to place that big shock none of you didn't expect coming. But don't worry; Predaking isn't dead, not yet. Being Shockwave is behind the Predacons, he will recreate it, and it will lead to some serious problems, but that's for another time. Trust me, I got bigger plants ahead for that thing. Sadly though, I had to post this up quick because I have to be in Vegas shortly. So if anyone sees some misspellings or bad grammars, allow me to apologize for that. But don't worry, on the next chapter, it's going to be a goodn' as I will finish this episode all together.
