~Chapter Thirty-Nine~

~Kendall's POV~

I woke up in a panic, I had no idea where I was or why my head felt all fuzzy. I did not like this feeling at all.

I slowly slid out of bed and looked around. I saw Jade fast asleep on the couch, my laptop open in front of her.

I smiled to myself and walked over to her. I knelt down and brushed the hair off her forehead. Her eyes fluttered a few time before opening all the way.

"Hey, how are you feeling?"

"Better I guess, but how did I get here?" She sat up and ran her fingers through her hair.

"I kinda figured you wouldn't remember last night." She patted the couch next to her. I sat down next her not knowing what to say. "You showed up here about 11:30 sicker then a dog. I had to help you walk to the bed. And not long after you threw up everything in your stomach."

"You took care of me?"

"Of course I took care of you. Even though I was mad at you, I still love you and it hurt seeing you like that."

"I'm sorry I was such an ass, and I should have never listened to her." I took her hand into mine. "All I can say is I am so sorry and I will never do it again."

"You better not." She smiled at me. "We need to stop keeping things from each other. Its not healthy and not good for us."

"I promise." I cupped her face and lightly kissed her. "I love you so much."

"I love you too, but Love you need a shower bad. You smell like IT." I shook my head and laughed. "The quicker you wash it off the quicker I can join you in said shower."

"While I do that can you get my clothes from Logan?"

"Sure."

I stood up and tired to walk to the bathroom, Jade took the opportunity to smack my ass as I walked by. I glared at her over my shoulder. She just grinned at me.

Shaking my head I made my way into the bathroom.

I shut the door behind me and just leaned on it. This was way to weird, Jade was acting like everything was back to normal, when it wasn't. We still had to talk about what happened.

Not wanting to think about it anymore, I grabbed Jade's make-up bag and grabbed the spare toothbrush she always kept for me.

When I was done brushing my teeth I turned the water in the shower on so it would warm up before I got in.

I pulled my shirt over my head and dropped it to the floor. That's when I noticed a prefect set of teeth on my chest. I knew they weren't Jade's, we haven't been that close in a long while.

God what happened last night?

As quick as I could I showered. There was no way I was going to have Jade join me now. I needed to think first.

When I got out I wrapped a towel around my waist and stuck my head out the bathroom door. Luckily for me Jade was no where in sight. I walked right over to her suite case and dug around until I found my clothes that's she has taken from me.

Once I was dressed I crawled back into bed. I just wanted to block the world out. I needed to try and remember what happened last night. The last thing I remember is eating dinner with Ryan and then after thY everything was so fuzzy and trying to figure it out gave me a massive headache.

I closed my eyes and said a silent prayer.

I must have fallen back to sleep because the next thing I knew was Jade was sitting next to me in the bed, running her fingers through my hair.

"You okay?"

"I don't remember what happened last night at all." I sat up and looked at wall.

"Kendall whatever it is, you can tell me."

I just shook my head. I could feel the tears forming in the corners of my eyes. I did not want her to see me cry.

"What did that bitch do to you?"

"I don't know, all I do know its bad."

"I promise whatever it is, I won't get mad at you. She is a different story."

I just nodded and pulled up my shirt to show her the bite mark on my chest. Jade hissed and got out of bed. She walked into the bathroom, coming back out shortly after with the first aid kit in hand.

"Stupid fucking bitch, so lucky I don't look good in prison orange." Jade mumbled as she pulled stuff out of th first kit. "So fucking lucky. Bitch is gonna get it, bite my man. Stupid fucker."

I opened and closed my mouth a few times before I decided no to say anything. She was already in a mood.

When she was done bandaging the bite, she put everything away. She looked up at me and I could see the fire burning in her eyes.

"You know I can't let his stand."

"I know. I don't know what all happened last night and I don't really want to know, but I do know she has to go."

"I love you." She leaned forward and kissed me.

"Love you too." I moved the first aid kit off her lap and pulled her onto mine. "We have a lot to talk about."

"Yes, I suppose we. what do you want to talk about first?"

"Your hand, what happened?"

"I thought hitting a brick wall would be better then hitting you, again." I picked up her vast and kissed her fingers. "Plus I was pissed that I hit you already once. I have never lost my self control like that before. It scared the shit out of me."

"It really scared me too. I'm sorry you broke your hand, but I'm glad you didn't hit me, again. Once was enough to know I don't want to be on the other side of your fist again." She nodded and laid her head on my shoulder. "You have no idea how sorry I am I never told you about the emails. It was stupid and I should have come to you right away."

"I should have told you that I was coming on tour. I have no idea why I was so scared to tell you."

"We've both screwed up, but we are on the way to making things better."

"Yes we have, but never again. No more secrets like these again."

"Agreed." I kissed her forehead.

"And sealed with a kiss."

"I've missed this so much."

"I have too. We're not going to have much time for this once that baby comes."

"I can't believe we're pregnant."

"I know it hasn't hit me yet. What are you hoping for? Boy or Girl?"

"Boy."

"Why?"

"I want a boy, because I don't want Gracie to feel left out. I have this fear she won't think I love her as much as the new baby."

She didn't say anything as she pulled my head down to her and kissed me. I pulled away and smiled down at her.

~Jade's POV~

"So what was with the kiss?"

"Do you know how much it means to me that you put Gracie first?"

"A lot?"

"So much." I kissed him again. "So wanna go look at baby clothes?"

"Sure sounds like fun."

I crawled out of his lap and walked over to the coffee table and picked up my iPad. I grinned at him as I got back into bed with him, instead of sitting back into his lap, I cuddled into his side.

"So I have found so much cute stuff."

"When did you start looking?" He laughed.

"Right after I found out, what can I say I was super excited."

"Let me see what you have found."

I unlocked my iPad and brought up my shopping cart on Amazon and handed it to him.

"Since I'm not sure which we will have, I picked up more neutral colors. Like light yellows, greens, and what not."

"You've found some really cute stuff."

"This is gonna be one spoiled child."

"I never got to do this with Gracie, which is why I spoil her so much now."

"You really are an amazing Mom. Never ever doubt that."

"Thank you." I smiled at him. "It means a lot to me."

"I just hope I can be just as amazing."

"You are amazing, you already have one little girl who thinks the world of you."

"Yeah I know, but as Logan reminded me, she was 6 and already so grown up. With the new baby, it's just going to be different, you know."

"Yes it will, but I know you can handle it. Plus I will be right there by your side."

"And I will be by yours."

"God we are so sappy."

"But only with each other, because we both know the next time you see Her, you're gonna kick her ass."

"And no one will be able to stop me." I laughed.

"I highly doubt anyone will try to stop you."

"That's because they know better."

"So I've been thinking." I just raised an eyebrow at him, he rolled his eyes. "Where are we going to put the baby? I mean there are only three rooms upstairs. Do you want to get a new house or do you have a plan?"

"Well, at least for the first few months, the baby will be in our room, and then when they are sleeping through the night, we'll move Cassie into the pool house and put Gracie in Cassie's room and turn Gracie's room into a nursery."

"That's sounds like a plan, but you know sooner or later we'll need a bigger house, maybe we can build one."

"Really? Aren't you happy with the one we have?"

"I am, don't get me wrong, I just have always had a dream to build my own home."

"Maybe in a few years we will. We're both so busy now and with a baby on the way, we'll be even more so."

"Are you still going to work?"

"Not for the first few years, I don't see the point. I want to be there every step of the way. Plus with Gracie getting older and she'll need me more. I have always regretted that I couldn't be there more when she and Cassie were younger, I mean I know I really didn't have much of a choice."

"You can take as much time off as you want. You work too hard as it is anyways."

"So you say." I rolled my eyes and put my iPad on the bedside table. "Anyways, what do you want to do now?"

"I don't know, order some food?" He shrugged.

"Okay, sounds good." I leaned back into him. "Then menu is on the coffee table."

"If you want me to get it, you need to sit up."

"But I don't want to."

"What do you want?"

"You?" I looked up at him.

"Make up sex?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Lots and lots of it." I grinned at him.

Before he could say anything, my phone started to ring. It was Ted's ringtone, and I knew I had to get it.

"It's Ted, I need to answer this."

He just nodded as I got out of bed and went to answer my phone. I sat on the couch and answered the phone.

"Hey Ted."

"Hey Jade, what's going on?"

"Did you get my email?"

"I wouldn't be calling if I didn't."

"Right." I ran my fingers through my hair. "So what do you think?"

"I don't really like it, her father was a good friend of mine, but you're right, she's not good for business."

"She's really not, I'm pretty sure she drugged Kendall last night."

"Do you have any proof?"

"Nothing concrete, just a gut feeling I have."

"Maybe I should have listened to you and found someone else to open for them."

"I don't blame you, Ted. I can understand why you said no. I may not have liked it, but I got it."

"Thank you. I will get thing arranged and she'll be gone. I just don't know who I will or can get to replace her."

"Cassie's tour ends next week, I'm sure she'll be more than happy to fill in for the rest of the tour."

"Okay, set it up and as soon as Cassie is available, Ryan is gone."

"Deal, I guess I can deal with her for a little while longer."

"You know if it was anyone but you, I wouldn't be doing this."

"Why are you?"

"Because I know even though you don't like her, you wouldn't be kicking her off the tour just because. She really must have done something to push you to this."

"Oh."

"I trust you Jade, more then I really trust anyone."

"That means a lot."

"You're welcome. So I will have our lawyers draw up a gag order making sure she will never be able to go through with whatever she's planning."

"Thank you."

"No problem."

"Just a heads up, I will be taking some time off in about nine months."

"Are congratulations in order?"

"You could say that."

"Then congratulations. How much time do you think you'll be taking?"

"A lot, a few years or so."

"Really?"

"Yeah, but we can talk about that more later."

"Okay, sounds good. Can you call Cassie and see if she's willing and then just shoot me an email."

"All I have to do is tell her she'll be spending more time with James."

"Young love." He laughed. "We'll I will let you get back to whatever you were doing. Have a good day Jade."

"You to Ted." I hung up and set my phone back on the table.

"He took that well." Kendall walked over and sat next to me.

"Yes he did, partly because I wrote a clause into her contract that I could send her home at any time, but only if she broke one of the other clauses, which she did last night when she drugged you."

"Smart thinking."

"I never trusted her."

"I'm sorry I ever did."

"She put up a good front." I laced our fingers together. "But as soon as she's gone, we can put that behind us."

"Soon I hope."

"As soon as I can, I promise you that." I kissed our joined hands. "How about some lunch now?"

"Sounds good, I'm hungry."

"And you're gonna need all the energy you can muster."

"Why is that?"

"Because we have a lot of making up to do." I grinned at him.

The look on his face was priceless.

God I had missed this, just hanging out with him. It was nice and I wouldn't be anywhere else in the world right now.

"I love you."

"I know." I grinned at him.

He just rolled his eyes and picked up the menu.
