The Unbreakable

Chapter Twelve

Bella MacKay, Hanna's newest assistant, entered the sun-lit office in the air-conditioned building. She was going to give Hanna an overview of what was going to be happening in her schedule for the next few days. Hanna's previous assistant, Monica quit due to her husband's job transfer overseas.

"Hanna, here's your schedule." Bella put her laptop in front of the blonde for her to read over.
"Alright," Hanna Marin-Rivers read through her schedule and rolled her eyes at her assistant, earning a groan from the overtired brunette. "I already told you I wanted to rebook my flight to London. I can't leave Saturday. Book it for Tuesday."
"Sure," Bella sighed and closed the silver MacBook. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm new at this."
Hanna took a long sip of her coffee, licking her lips afterwards. "Look, Bella, I'm not-.."
"Hanna, I'm sorry," The brunette apologized. "I've been trying so hard. Last week you told me to book it for Saturday. Now you want it for Tuesday?"

The blonde looked at her assistant. She knew Bella was trying hard to help Hanna with everything. But Hanna was under so much stress. She had already flown to London two weeks ago to look at lofts for herself and the kids. The company purchased her a large four bedroom loft in the heart of London but just needed her to give them the date that she would be moving to the UK.
"Bella, I'm sorry," Hanna apologized after realizing how hard she was working the brunette. "I've just been under so much stress lately. I can never do anything right-"
"It's okay." Bella gave a small smile.
"No, it's not. I don't like treating any of my employees like this," Hanna stood up from her chair. "Caleb and I haven't even come up with an agreement for the move. I don't even know if he's coming with me. We've been arguing here and there. I just-"
"You need a break," Bella pulled her cell phone out of her pocket and dialed a few numbers. "I'm calling off all of the meetings you had planned for the morning while you go do something by yourself."
"Bella, I can't just cancel," Hanna reluctantly refused to go. "I have so much I need to do. I still have to restock the store for the big sale before I head to London."
"You do everything. Not to mention you have a six year old and a baby. You're literally the super mom," Bella laughed. "I'll do my best to restock. Just take the day off."
"Are you sure?" Hanna asked after deciding to take her up on the offer.
"Of course." Bella Mackay smiled at her boss.

Aria Montgomery-Fitz followed her husband to his car. The Fitz' were heading out for lunch at the grille. Ezra and Aria got the news that she was pregnant with their second baby. They were thrilled.
"I wonder how our baby will be," Ezra backed out of his assigned parking space in the University parking lot. "Will he or she like art, or like to write?"
"Ezra," Aria smiled. "We just found out."
"I'm excited," Ezra took hold of his wife's hand while looking her in the eyes. "We've waited for this for so long. I love you."
Aria smiled and kissed Ezra on the lips. "I love you."

Emily watched as her daughter was taken away into the daycare by a worker. Emily registered her daughter for daycare so she could begin socializing with other infants, and being comfortable around other babies.
"First time leaving her alone?" A mother asked the brunette.
"Yeah," Emily glanced over. "Could you tell?"
"It's never easy leaving them alone," The woman admitted. "I have my son enrolled here. It took about three days for Desmond to get used to it."
"I just enrolled my Penelope. I'm going to start working again." Emily told her.
"Oh, does your husband work?" The woman asked. "By the way, I'm Cameron."
"He does. A lot," Emily nodded. "But we're actually getting a divorce."
"Really?" Cameron raised her eyebrows. "That's crazy because my ex-wife and I just got our divorce finalized."
Emily looked at the woman, surprised.
"Yes, I'm lesbian," Cameron laughed. "Look all you want. I'm a human being, too."
"You are?" Emily asked. "I'm actually out of the closet. Well, I was already out but I'm out for the second time."
"Sounds complicated." Cameron nodded.
"You're telling me," Emily agreed. "So, what do you do?"
"I'm a stylist for channel five news," Cameron explained. "So all the outfits you see the anchors wear, were all chosen by moi-"
Emily smiled. "Wow, that sounds fun. My friend is actually a designer. She's going to London to work with that Larocce guy."
"Who's your friend?" Cameron asked. "And Alexander Larocce? Wow!"
"Hanna Marin-Rivers." Emily answered.
"Oh," She nodded. "What do you do?"
"I was a financial analysis before I had Penelope. I might go back into the field or just work at the bank," Emily told her. "I'm really indecisive. I have enough money and all, you know, from my divorce and my husband is letting me keep our house and everything in it. I can put off work for a year or two but I want to get out and working."
"I understand." Cameron nodded.
"Would you like to go for coffee? Or do you have to work?" Emily asked.
"I don't work until the late night news cast," Cameron told Emily. "Coffee sounds lovely."
"Great," Emily smiled. "Let's go."

Spencer Cavanaugh drove up the driveway of Hanna's home. She recently borrowed one of Hanna's pots and was planning on dropping by to return it.
She parked her SUV beside the Range Rover, and hummer before taking her keys out of the ignition and getting out of her car.
She grabbed the pot from the backseat and made her way towards the front door.
Knowing very well that Hanna was packing, Spencer didn't want to disturb her so she instead put her own key in the hole and unlocked the heavy black front door.

"Hanna?" Spencer called out. After hearing no response, she closed the front door and made her way towards the kitchen.
She realized she would be walking into an argument between her best friend and her husband so she decided to stay along the wall until they stopped. She also kind of enjoyed listening to arguments.

"Caleb, just let me finish here and we'll talk." The blonde huffed at her husband.
"Hanna, all of this isn't going to just work itself out," Caleb was frustrated. "You're going to another country with our kids? What the hell!"
"Caleb, don't," Hanna pleaded, the crack in her voice made Spencer realize she was about to cry. "Bryn is right over there. I don't want her hearing this.."
Unsure of whether to leave, or walk into the heated argument, Spencer waited.
"Well we're going to have to talk about this at some point!" Caleb shot at her.
Hanna threw her hands up in the air and rubbed her temples, tears slowly streaming down her face. "Caleb, just wait 'til I'm fucking done and we'll sort this out!" Hanna cried.
After the realization that he made his wife really upset, and overreacted, Caleb sighed and walked over to Hanna and tried to pull her into a hug. "Han, I'm sorry-"
"Caleb, don't-" Hanna pleaded, and pulled away, walking over to the cupboard.
"Hanna, I'm sorry." Caleb apologized. "Just everything's been happening so fast. I don't even know what's happening-"
Spencer decided to enter the kitchen, despite the argument.
"Hanna, I brought your pot back," Spencer came into the kitchen, acting as if she didn't hear the whole argument. "Thanks for letting me borrow it."

Hanna quickly wiped her tears. "Thanks for bringing it back." Hanna tried her best to act as if nothing happened.
"How's Toby?" Caleb asked, going along with Hanna's plan to make them seem like the happy-go-lucky couple they came off as.
"Great. We actually finished the baby room today. It's all ready for-" Spencer was interrupted by her cell phone ringing.
She glanced at the screen and was surprised who was calling. It was Samantha.
"Hello?" Spencer answered.
"Hi, Spencer. It's Samantha's mother. Her water just broke!"

"Okay, call me when the baby is born. Okay, love you." Hanna hung up her cell phone.
"Hanna, can we please talk now?" Caleb asked calmly while entering Hanna's home office. "I'm sorry about overreacting."
"Fine," Hanna agreed. "I have to finish packing my closet for London. So can this be quick?"
Caleb sat on his wife's glass desk. "I wanted to know-"
"What?" Hanna asked.
"If I could come along to London with you.." Caleb smiled.
Hanna grinned and got up to kiss him. She kissed him multiple times. "Of course you can! What made you change your mind?"
"I was offered a job in London with this international company." Caleb told his wife.
"This calls for a celebration, Caleb," Hanna smirked.
"Which kind?" Caleb asked, knowing very well it would lead to office sex.
"You know which kind." Hanna winked.

Okayy, wow I kept putting this story off because I've been so stressed with a lot lately. I'm sorry.
I'll make sure to update more often because I want to finish this story by the end of August.
I really love the new season of PLL so far. I ship Tranna but I also adore Haleb. I'm really starting to like Ali but it's way too late to add her into the story so I hope to write another one after this.
I really love drama, as you can tell.
