Traveling through the Institute, Riven wondered what the hell she had gotten herself into.
It wasn't that she wasn't confident in her own skills, because of course she had no doubt in her own mind that she was as skilled as Katarina, but the lack of any restriction….
She wasn't called the Sinister Blade for nothing, the blonde reflected. Katarina was ruthless and bloodthirsty, an assassin by training but a killer by nature, and the daughter of the most prominent military figure in Noxian history.
Riven, by contrast, did only what she had to do. The invasion of Ionia changed her in ways that she didn't fully understand or appreciate, but she knew, within her heart, that she had more integrity than the redhead did. She knew that kindness demands a different kind of respect than strength, and she was able to command both. Perhaps that was why she had formed her friendship with Ahri, sensing a kindred spirit.
Speaking of Ahri…
As she crossed into the main foyer of the Institute of war, the platinum-haired beauty considered her earlier interaction with the succubus. She would like to have blamed her nearly immobilizing arousal on the fox's skills as a temptress, but the allure of the woman had something… sincere in it. Almost… pure.
What the hell was wrong with her today?!
Riven shook these thoughts out of her mind as she picked up the pace, jogging briskly towards the North exit, into the surrounding mountains.
Passing Malphite, who gave her a brisk nod, and Skarner, who was showing the Shard of the Monolith the new abilities the League of Legends had decided to allow him to use whilst hissing wildly, Riven began up the mountain path that led her to Morello's house.
Morello lived alone at the top of the summit, enjoying the sounds of his own voice echoing around the valleys, or so the rumor went.
Personally, the women of the Institute believed that Morello's telescope, used, as he said, for "scanning the skies for potential entrants into the League", was in fact used for a more earthly purpose. As fate may have it, all of the female champions' windows faced north. However, to accuse him of this would incur expulsion from the League….
Or worse.
Shaking herself out of her morbid thoughts, Riven, focusing on reality, knocked on the door of Morello's cabin.
Opening the door was Morello himself, standing with a large paddle, engraved with the letters "N-E-R-F" in a reversed pattern, laid at rest over his shoulder.
"Morning, Riven!" stated Morello cheerfully, "Did the council send you here to receive some balance changes?"
"No, no, sir!" said Riven hastily, fearing the potency of Morello's 'balances'- The last time he nerfed somebody… well, Heimerdinger was a nice fellow, but that was about all that could be said for him. "I'm here to ask the new recruit for advice. I was told she was staying with you, and I could use her help with developing a strategy."
"A strategy? For what?" Morello asked curiously.
"Just for my next use by one of our more experienced summoners," Riven replied quickly, "ZionSpartan and I have been working on something… special."
"I see," he said. "Well, come on in, but I have to warn you, she's a bit…"
"Interesting?" Riven offered.
"I was going to say nuts, but that works too."
Nuts, hmm? Well… if she's nuts, she's certainly going to be ingenious. Riven could see why Ahri had sent her. Katarina was cold and calculating, and the new champion's strategies would most likely catch her off-guard.
Morello shut the door behind Riven, then went down the hall and disappeared into a door on his left.
"Follow me!" he called out faintly, his voice sounding from somewhere in front of and below her.
Riven walked cautiously down the wooden-floored hall, inspecting the house as she went.
The paintings on the walls were well-lit and clear, but that was about all that could be said for them. The pictures were creepy and more than a little… well, Riven had no better word for it than rapey…
Each of the pictures was of Morello standing over a woman.
Not only was he standing over them, he had his N-E-R-F paddle held over their nude, reddened ass.
Miss Fortune, Caitlyn, Sivir, Elise….It was easy to make out the indent of the word in white, the only thing still pale about the pictures. Their violated, uncomfortable faces were in juxtaposition to the apparent glee of Morello, engaged in his favorite activity.
Riven cracked a smile as she passed the picture of Katarina receiving her nerf. Her face was infuriated, her body literally hogtied to the table so Morello could balance her without being killed, as she would most likely have done if her hands had been free.
Turning left into the open doorway, Riven went down a set of stone steps, grey and in serious contrast with the rest of the wooden log cabin. A draft blew her bangs back from her forehead, revealing her gleaming crimson eyes to anyone watching.
Entering Morello's… was it his basement? Riven wasn't even sure. It had four blank stone walls and a metal cot on the floor Knelt over this cot was Morello, talking slowly to a pair of blue braids that hung down the back of the woman lying on the cot.
"Alright, Riven, this is Jinx. Say hello, Jinx."
"Hello, Jinx!" cried the woman on the bed, cackling in mirth at her own joke. Whipping around rapidly, Riven jumped backward at the woman's appearance.
Jinx's face was pure white, her eyes a violent shade of pink, and her smile literally took up three-quarters of her face. Glancing down, Riven's eyes traveled over Jinx's body, skimming her modest, b-cup sized breasts under the straightjacket Jinx was placed in.
"Alright, summoner, I can take it from here. Thank you for allowing me inside," Riven said purposefully.
Morello left, hefting his paddle over his right shoulder as he walked and humming something that sounded suspiciously like Gangplank's booze & body song.
"So, Jinx…." Riven said uncomfortably after a long period of time staring into her hot-pink eyes, "why did you join the League?"
"Cuz I like blowing things up!" Jinx said proudly, "and with ole' Hat-Lady here, I couldn't resist."
"Hat-Lady? Who do you mean?" Riven asked curiously.
"The one with the belts and the funny voice" Jinx said, rolling her eyes. "She's way too uptight. I figured throwing a wrench in her day might loosen her up a bit."
"You mean Caitlyn?" Riven laughed. "Yeah, I think she's got something besides a dildo up her ass, if you know what I mean."
"Nah, Hat-Lady's all talk." Jinx said. "Her skills in the sack are… what'd she call it? Oh yeah, 'rather rusty, I'm afraid.'"
"You serious?" Riven asked in amazement. "I didn't know the Sherriff played on the other team."
"What team are you on, then, pretty-boy?" Jinx asked, all mirth draining from her voice to leave a tone of deadly seriousness.
Well, shit.
Riven didn't know how to respond to that question. While she had certainly been with other men before, her experience with Ahri earlier that day had shaken her. Could she honestly tell Jinx she was straight? Could she tell her for certain that she was lesbian?
After some consideration, Riven finally replied "My own. And to that point, I'd like to ask you for help. I've got to beat an assassin with military experience and reflexes that are hypertuned. We both studied the same Noxian techniques and she's been in the League for ages, so I need a new strategy."
"Well, pretty-boy, you've got to be unexpected. But not just unexpected, you have to not know what you're doing as you do it. Assassins can react quickly, even quicker than you can think of an idea to execute. If you don't think about what you're doing and just fight, she certainly won't be able to react to whatever you're doing. Furthermore, I'd suggest you try and fight with your hands as well. Using a blade, the assassin will be able to dodge you. The snake-lady will be able to bite you when your leg is turned."
Huh. Snake-lady. Interesting metaphor, considering who Kat was related to.
"Using at least one arm to lash out, grab her, punch her, hell, even tickle her, will throw her off-guard," Jinx continued.
"I see…" Riven mused. "Well, thanks for your help, Jinx, it was a pleasure meeting you."
"Same to you, pretty-boy," Jinx said, laughing hysterically. "Just remember, catch the snake-lady off-guard. Do anything you can to trip her up."
"I will," Riven replied as she left the room, the sounds of Jinx's high-pitched laughter echoing off the walls behind her.
(A/N): Jesus, I'm a terrible person. I made my followers wait 5 months for this. While it came out well, this was only 2 hours of writing. If I had spent the entire 5 months working on this story…. Anyways, R&R if possible, I certainly would like to hear feedback, and by the way…. JinxxCait.
Vi: Aw, but what about me and Cupcake?
Author: GO AWAY, VI! You don't belong with Jinx or Caitlyn.
Vi: But… but…
Author: I WILL NOT HAVE YOU FUCKING YOUR OWN SISTER. Not happening.
Vi: Aw…..
Anyways, enjoy, I'll work on this over the weekend or tomorrow, I'm feeling a stroke of genius atm.
ᵢSapo!
