What they heard was only the few of the things that happened in the past. Up till now, no one knew why Akashi was crestfallen the day he received Kuroko's letter.

All of the people in the room set their gaze on Kuroko. It has only been a few hours since his hospitalization yet they felt as though he had been lying on the bed for a days or even weeks. Midorima took out his phone and sent a text to Akashi even though he never wanted to talk to him but felt as though he should at least inform Akashi that Kuroko has been sent to the hospital. Akashi himself may have already known about it but it doesn't hurt telling it to him. The greenhead knows that somewhere in the redhead's heart, cares about their little phantom man like everyone else does. Even if he denies it, he knows it's still in there. He's sure Kuroko knows it too.

A still quietness lingered in the room, all faces marked with distress. No one said a word after hearing the bit of Kuroko's past.

The redhead stared into the cloudless sky in the park that he and his Tetsuya used to frequent. To him, the park is somewhere he can do all his thinking and sorting out of everything. His mind is still far back in the match between Seirin and Rakuzan had a few hours ago. The match surely took a toll on him. It was one of the worst matches to play in.

Facing Tetsuya is difficult. Seeing the look Tetsuya gave him during the match pained him. Knowing that he was the one that caused the teal head boy the pain makes him feel worse. He doesn't know why he is feeling this way. Where did the Akashi who is cold in nature and didn't care about anyone went to? Why did the heterochromatic-eyed redhead feel such emotions whenever the boy who lacks presence is mention? Victory was his. But why did he feel so out of place? Sure, winning a match makes him happy but seeing Kuroko makes his heart swell.

He knew that Kuroko fell right after his match. He even heard the loud thump! as Kuroko fell. If he had turned back and at least prevent the fall, Kuroko wouldn't even be in the hospital now. But will he really prevent the fall? Or will he stay still on the spot as Kuroko falls when he couldn't tear his eyes away from the frail boy?

Just right then, his phone vibrated, blinking a few times signaling that he received a new message.

Flipping open his phone, he read:

From: Shintaro

Message: Akashi, if you are wondering what happened to Kuroko, I suggest you come to the hospital to find out.

He stared at the screen, eyes wide. Was the condition so serious that he had to be hospitalized? Should I pay a visit to him? He thought. What if Kuroko wakes up and breaks down upon seeing the red he loves so much? He couldn't risk getting his Tetsuya all teary knowing that it is him who caused those tears.

On a second thought, maybe he should. He left a big hole in Kuroko's heart, not thinking about the other's feelings. Kuroko stood by him all the while and he noticed it but never paid attention to the boy with a broken heart.

What really had him thinking was why is he treating Kuroko so differently from both his present and former teammates? There seems to be a blockage in his memories. If the brain forgets, perhaps the heart can remember?

He stared at the message a little longer before typing out a 'I'll visit him soon.' And hit the send button.

Collecting himself, he walked back home with a heavy head. Too much thinking did him no good. As soon as he stepped into the confines of his bedroom, he dropped himself on the bed. He rolled around, trying to get comfortable but could not do so. His mind always reeled back to the heart-wrenching raw emotions that Kuroko gave him at the end of their match.

He took a cold shower and dressed himself in fresh clothes. A simple black turtle-neck shirt coupled off with a pair of black skinny jeans as he deemed himself appropriate. It was already evening when he stepped out of his house heading off to the hospital where his beloved is resting at.

People stared at him on the streets as he walked past. Girls were squealing at his features, even though he is quite short but perfect for someone his build. Guys were staring at him as to how can he look so good by wearing such simple items. Somehow this scene replayed in his mind and he is not remembering any of it. Would it be weird if I said that Akashi has always been fed images or rather, scenes back before when he had turned into such a heartless beast? Because it always had him confused even though he knows everything.

He found himself loving these little replays as though it is there to tell him something.

Akashi saw the hospital that Midorima's parents owned in a distance. He picked up his pace and straightened himself out. He surely hoped Seirin members went home. He didn't like the Seirin members. They don't deserve such a player like Kuroko. Maybe it was his inner desire to keep Kuroko for himself or it was just his jealously seeping through.

He was greeted by the strong smell of disinfectant and the pure white walls which symbolize life as the doors slide opened. He walked over to the counter top where a nurse was at,quickly giving him the directions when he asked for Patient Kuroko Tetsuya's room number.

He was so deep in thought as he walked towards Kuroko's room. Before he knew it, he was already nearing the teal haired boy's room. He breathed out heavily when there were no Seirin in sight. He stretched out his hand, and knocked a few times on the white door before opening it and stepping inside.

It surprised him when no one is beside Kuroko's side. Did no one stay behind to look after him even if he is not waking up soon? Anger boiled inside him until he felt a presence behind him.

"Shintaro," Akashi called out. "Where have the others went?"

Midorima stiffened, hearing the tone Akashi gave. He coughed and quickly answered, "They are just eating at the cafeteria. They should be done soon. I saw you outside so I came in too."

Akashi turned behind to face Midorima, "Tell me about Tetsuya's condition." He questioned.

"Kuroko suffered from severe dehydration and apparently, right after his match with you, he tripped over his own legs and fell head first. It caused quite an impact and hurt his head in the process. It might have hurt his brain and there's no telling if he remember anyone when he wakes up."

Head first on the floor? That's dangerous.

Akashi didn't bother to reply Midorima and just nodded at the answer he was given. He took in the sickly features on Kuroko's face. Akashi told Midorima to get out as he was disturbing his time with Kuroko. When he heard the door close, he resumed in taking in Kuroko's appearance. He chuckled at the sight of the messy hair Kuroko always have when he woke up from bed. Suddenly, a fragment went off in his head.

A boy with teal hair woke up with a horrible bed head. The male sleeping beside him gave a little laugh at the sight and before fixing his bedhead, he kissed the teal haired boy's cheeks. The boy giggled before enveloping the redhead in a hug and they both went crashing down the bed. The redhead looks so happy, so blissful, to wake up with his special someone.

"Was that…. Tetsuya?"

He stroked Kuroko's face and bent down to kiss his forehead. Not knowing why he did that, he gave him another kiss on his cheek. Being with Kuroko gave him nice feelings. Somehow, the little memories he got after a familiar sensation with things he witness or do, he deduced that he must have feelings for Kuroko Tetsuya.

A nurse came in and quickly ran outside holding on to her dear life when Akashi glared at her for disrupting his time with Tetsuya. It was past the visiting hours and the poor nurse didn't get a chance to tell the redhead that.

Even so, when Dr. Midorima came in, he allowed Akashi to stay for the night seeing as he was his son's friend. Akashi had thought of seeing a doctor before about his own condition. He was a man who knew everything yet he doesn't know anything about himself. His past was a blur. It seems that he wasn't the only one who is affected in the mind.

He decided to consult Dr. Midorima about his condition in the last second before the doctor went out.

"Doctor, I have a need for you to listen to me and think about what I say then tell me what is wrong with me."

Without waiting for the doctor's acknowledgement, he told about the little memories he received every single time he did something similar to his past involving a certain teal haired boy.

This may be a confusing chapter, and Kuroko isn't the only one that is suffering from the loss of memory. It may take quite some time for me to get another chapter done as school has been tough. Also, I'm really happy about the positive reviews and the fav and follows. Thank you everyone!
