"Hey, Kuroko-kun, open your eyes."

Kuroko smiled at the sweet voice, wondering what awaits him and opened his eyes as instructed. He stared in awe at the view that welcomed him. It wasn't anything big, but it touched his heart. They were at a beach in the evening, the waves were calm, the breeze refreshing. Little rolled-up notes were poked into the sand, forming a heart-shape, each placed with utmost care, love and precision.

"Go on, open them." The person beside him spoke.

As instructed, Kuroko took baby steps towards the little notes, trembling with excitement and oh boy, he is touched with whatever is written on the paper.

Today marks our one year together.

I will continue to love you, Kuroko Tetsuya, forever more.

May our love continue to blossom.

Love, Seijuurou.

He picked up another, and another, each note containing messages that he never thought that his love would write. Each note conveyed its message loud and clear. Seijuurou himself never spoke such intimate and mushy words out loud but when written, one could not help but feel such surging emotions.

Kuroko opened his mouth to speak, but the words were stuck in his throat. His eyes were brimming with unshed tears. No words can describe whatever he is feeling. Seijuurou just grinned, knowing that Kuroko was touched by his wonderful display that he worked so hard to complete, filled with love and care.

Kuroko hugged the living daylights out of Seijuurou as his heart raced and face flushed. No one had ever done this for him and no one ever made him feel this way. He looked up and saw a heartwarming smile that brightened his whole world.

"Sei-kun, I love you."

A kiss and bone crushing hug to the other to signify his love back for him.

Kuroko woke up feeling pleasant. It was a weird dream. He couldn't remember the person in his dreams but everything else including the words written on the papers were so vivid clear. He couldn't even remember the name mentioned in the letters and the name he said. It was a heartwarming dream and if it really did happen to him, it was a shame he didn't remember it. It felt like déjà vu.

If it really did happen, I should have the letters in my dream with me… right?

He opened his drawer and searched for the box where he kept all the things he held dear. The box looks as though it hasn't been touched in the long time, the dust piling up on the cover. His eyes lit up when he found the papers along with some other things that makes him so excited. Part of him feels sorry for the person in his dreams because he doesn't remember who he is.

He reads all the letters and felt his face go hot.

It really did happen.. He smacked himself. Who is this Seijuurou person that always signed his name at the end of each letter? It can't be Akashi-kun right? If it really is him, he feels that he is not up to his standards.

On the later part of the day, he was brought out for a walk in the park by Akashi who insisted on doing so as Kuroko is just idling away in his room not doing anything and might as well come out for some fresh air. The truth is that, by bringing Kuroko to the park, memories of the both of them may resurface and perhaps remember who he is.

There weren't many people in the park. Mostly elderly couples were there strolling and taking a jog, snotty and sweaty kids playing at the nearby playground and people taking their dogs for a walk. Kuroko smiled at the elderly couples. How nice would it be if he were to get married and be together with his love till death parts them? Suddenly, he was struck with another piece of memory.

"How wonderful it must be for people to get old and spend their remaining lives with their loved ones." A sigh escaped the pale boy's lips.

"How about getting old together with me, spending your life with me, both getting dragged down in this love of ours and drowning in the times spent together?" A voice whispered into the boy's ears, startling the poor boy.

"Ah! You scared me.." The boy pouted.

"Well, you should pay more attention to your surroundings then, Kuroko-kun." A smile graced upon the figure with striking red hair's lips.

Kuroko gave his words a thought.

"Is your offer still up? I would definitely want to spend my life with you, going through thick and thin, staying by each other's side and be dragged down in the pure ecstasy of our love."

The person chuckled, "Why yes, of course. I would be much honored to have the chance with you, my love."

Kuroko shook his head, trying to focus. His vision was blurred due to the snippet of memory which sprung its way through. Akashi stopped in his tracks and brought Kuroko to a nearby bench. He laid Kuroko's head on his lap and rubbed soothing circles around his temples.

"Feeling better?" Akashi asked, voice laced with worry.

"Yes.. I just recollected the conversation I had with this person in this park, that's all." Kuroko sat up. "Thank you, Akashi-kun."

A conversation in this park? Akashi couldn't help but ask, "A conversation with?"

Kuroko giggled, which kind of scared him(but he does love his giggles). The conversation held such weird usage of words that he can't help cringe at it too. He raised his head and looked closely at Akashi. He bore the same red hair as the person in his dreams and the person in the park. He has the same given name as the person in his dreams. It can't be too much of a coincidence, right?

"A certain redhead. He's quite the romanticist. He has the same hair colour as you…" Kuroko lifted his hands up to feel Akashi's hair. "The person in my dreams has the same given name as you whom I call 'Sei-kun'." The name rolled off his tongue easily, as though he was used to calling that name.

He couldn't believe his ears. Did he hear right? Did Kuroko remember the day he went all out to give him the best one year anniversary gift he could come up with? It's nothing special but it made his Tetsuya happy which is all that matters. Nothing fancy, nothing big.

"What if I told you," Akashi took a deep breath; he had to get this out of his system. "That the person is me?"

-line-

Kuroko couldn't believe it. He had been in a relationship with Akashi? How in the world did that happen? What did Akashi see in him? There's not much about him, really. His grades are just average, his looks too. He has very low presence and how did Akashi and the guys even notice him anyway?

Something about the way he had actually expected (or wished that) Akashi who is the person in his dreams scared him. Nonetheless, he still couldn't believe that he had been together with the redheaded devil.

His mind travelled back to the time with Akashi in the park. It gave him such a headache but can't help but to think about it.

FLASHBACK

Kuroko stared wide-eyed into Akashi's honest-filled ones. It didn't come as much as a surprise to him. He should be happy right? He had been in a relationship with such a gentleman, such a loving person that no one would have ever thought of him as, such a caring person with multiple personalities. Kuroko probably had his life showered with immense love from Akashi that he would never run out of. He had seen the emotions that no one ever saw seeping through the façade of Akashi's everyday life. Bummer, he lost the times they had together.

"Why did we break up? I'm sure the love we had was so overwhelming, yet I couldn't remember them…" Kuroko trailed off.

Akashi felt his throat dry up. What was he supposed to tell Kuroko? "My other self decided to show up, fucking us up real bad."?

"Tetsuya, do you know why amnesiac people cannot remember some parts of their lives?" Akashi asked, his eyes boring into Kuroko's, before continuing. "That's because in some point of their lives, it affected the person a great deal. He will feel empty, missing out on the things in life or perhaps even happier, seeing as the part of them they lost that dragged them down is gone. The part of them they lost will eventually come back, some taking a few days, a few months or even a few years or not at all. It takes a lot in the psychological will if he really wants to regain back the part of him that he lost."

Kuroko listened intently, absorbing every single detail. He knows why, but to hear it from the redhead, it gives a chill down his spine, his hair standing on its end. It feels so cold, like a sudden drop in temperature.

"In your case, you wonder why we broke up. I can say the love was great while it lasted, it did last…," He trailed off, tone dropping, "However, not in a way anyone would have expected it to be. There's something in me that no one will understand. Once you've known me well enough, you will eventually find your answer. But I'll let you know that my heart," he points to his chest, "belongs to you, Tetsuya." He brings his finger up to Kuroko's chest.

Kuroko flushed red and yelped at the action.

END OF FLASHBACK

Kuroko's head throbbed. Blame it on him and his question that made Akashi give him a long speech. The idea of being in a relationship with Akashi seems so surreal. He noticed the close proximity within them in the past few weeks he had been with him. Whenever they touched, it tingles his skin, leaving him warm and confused.

He really, really wants to know more about his and Akashi's past. Even now, the redhead is being very patient and caring towards him, placing his needs before his own. He knows somewhere in him, he longs for Akashi. There are always butterflies in his tummy whenever he sees the redhead, especially more so when he shows him his smile that makes him go crazy. Akashi really did wriggle his way to Kuroko's heart without him realizing it.

"I will never regret being together with Akashi, I'm sure the lost me thinks so too." Kuroko mumbled to himself, drifting off to sleep not before adding a small 'I hope so' at the end.

Hello guys, it's been long. It's another chapter done! Kuroko is starting to remember who Akashi is and understand more about his past. He is also starting to feel something towards Akashi without himself knowing. How will he cope with the newly found feelings of his?
