Chapter 19 folks, sorry for the long wait...A terrible case of writers block, and then there's final exams... So without further a due, chapter 19 ;)

Confusion and ultimate shock...That was what everyone felt that second when they saw the sand almost hitting them by an inch.

Hiccup was still standing, with a straight, and serious face while his hand controlled the nightmares to stay still, to not even move an inch. Gothel saw this and was confused, and yet furious.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" "What are you waiting for boy!?" "Kill them!"

Then, there was eerie silence, then Hiccup chuckled, along with Toothless as he looked at Gothel. "Don't you recall the deal you and Pitch made with me?" "Especially that deal you made with me and mother a long time ago?"

Everybody, including Gothel, minus Hiccup and Toothless ,were confused and taken aback until Gothel remembered. "Pitch told you... That in exchange for yourself, we'll leave your friends alone...And that I wouldn't harm anyone close to you...Otherwise...Oh god.." "But you can't break off the deal Hiccup, that'll mean I'll still get the right to harm your friends and family..."

Hiccup still remained calm, looking at his hand, then at Gothel," But you already did that, just a few moments ago...Is death really something you are frightened about." "It seems like the bogeywoman also has a fear."

"B-B-But, I plan to be immortal. Have my beauty and powers; have everyone fear me!" "And to rule everything and everyone..." "But not without your help."

"HICCUP CATCH!" Tooth shouted, then she tossed a gold container which Hiccup thankfully caught, but Merida began to protest, "Tooth noo...Didn't Hiccup have an unpleasant past, this can affect him!"

"He did, but that doesn't mean he didn't have small wonderful times..." Hiccup opened the tooth holder and the truth was opened...

Flashback

"COME ON, COME ON BUDDY!" There in the skies flew Hiccup and Toothless on their first test flight, and it turned out to be a smashing success! Then it went to him bonding with Toothless, then to when he was about to face the red death.

"I'm sorry..For everything.."

"Yeah me too."

"You don't have to go up there."

"We're Vikings, it's occupational hazard."

"I'm proud, to call you my son."

"...Thanks dad..."

After waking up and coming out of his home after the red death...

"I knew it, I'm dead.."

"No but you gave it your best shot, so what do you think?"

Pretty soon he was surrounded by Vikings cheering and welcoming him, as his father smiled down at him." Turns out all we needed was a little of..This."

"You just gestured to all of me.."

Then there was the memories of having new friends, meeting Jack, Merida, Rapunzel, and Eugene. Having fun and being happy...For once in his life, he felt happiness...

Flashbacks Ends

"The deal is off Gothel..." "I'M NO LONGER YOUR ASSISTANT OR YOUR NIGHTMARE DREAMER!" With that spoken, Hiccup's and Toothless's eyes turned back to forest green eyes! Unfortunately, the nightmare sand was still coming out through Hiccup's vest, and Toothless's wings, but otherwise completely out of the evil trance.

This time, everyone minus Gothel surrounded the boy and dragon, patting him on the back and cheering, as if the whole thing was over.

"Hiccup, you're back!"

"Good to have you back!"

"Toothless, Hiccup, thank goodness you both are okay!"

Gothel looked up at her wand with the dragon jewel and saw it glow crimson red as it cracked until...KA- BOOM ! It exploded into dust, and the wand stick was nothing but burnt wood that the old hag was holding. She looked shock, the group was expecting her to disappear or be defeated, but quite the opposite. Instead, Gothel was laughing her head off as if it was a big joke, like nothing will happen.

"What's so funny Gothel!" "The jewel is gone, you could die!" Rapunzel screamed, Jack added in, while pointing his staff towards the woman, "You're not hiding something...Are you?"

"Why yes, Big Four...I am.." "You see, once Hiccup and Toothless got out of my evil state; shame really, they were really good at being evil; anyway, the second they were out..The nightmare and dream balance is now unbalanced!" "Now more nightmares will come unless someone is willing going to close the dark dimensions but at a very high price...The chances of living or not is fifty- fifty...By the way Hiccup, stay here any longer; and I assure you that you'll be the new prince of nightmares!" She spread around the nightmare sand, and then sprinkled some on the group, who dust it off.

"With me as your new mother and nightmare queen, we'll both rule together...Maybe like mother and son, but you cannot choose fate...This is who you are, this is your destiny!" "See Pitch messed up half of your life, then I messed up the rest..How very sad, you don't really have a choice in what your fate was, see everyone controls you...And tit all happened just because when you were a wee baby...You had no fear of anything, well until Pitch gave you the right medicine."

"Look outside, the portals are already opening everyone...You all failed!"

They looked outside and saw a huge black hole open at the center of the ocean, causing chaos to come out while different kinds of nightmare creatures were getting ready to come out, thunder started to boom as lightning flashed while the winds began to get stronger. The night was getting darker, but the only light they could see was the portal, and a thin line of blue light at the top of the cliff which happened to be the same cliff Valka was taken away by a dragon.

"W-what are we going to do!?" "Who is supposed to close the portal, that Gothel is mad!" Merida screamed, once Gothel left to greet her army. Before anyone could answer, the adults in the room, plus dragon began to sink down in the ground while they panicked. Merida, Jack, Rapunzel, Eugene, and Hiccup quickly tried help the guardians, Eugene, Toothless and Stoick get off but the more they pulled, the more they sank.

, Rapunzel was pulling Sandy and Eugene, Jack had North plus Tooth, Merida was pulling Bunny, and Hiccup was left trying to pull both his father and dragon out.

"Hang on Tooth!"

"Don't give up Sandy!" "Don't let go Eugene!"

"Try to get out North!"

"Bunny, put some effort into this!"

"Dad, Toothless! Hang on, I'll get you out...I promise, I'll get you all out of this mess!"

"DON'T LET GO GUYS!"

North gave Jack a gentle pat as he whispered gently, "You did good as a guardian Jack...Now it's up to you to save the children of the world.." Tooth then whispered, "We all love you Jack, including the others as if you were family, keep those memories strong." Jack tried to keep his tears at bay, but they streamed down anyway. "NOO, DON'T SAY THAT!" "YOU'LL MAKE IT!"

Eugene, gave Rapunzel one last kiss on the cheek as his eyes sparkled, "Stay strong blondie; remember that I love you." "Win this war..." Sandy pretty much gave Rapunzel the same hand signals as she cried every tear out. "No...Please don't say that, we're all going to make it!"

"Merida, please stop, it's no use mate." "Just keep the hope that lives in you alive." Bunny whispered, but Merida refused to believe what she was hearing. She even held her tears but only tear drop fell. "We're all going to defeat Gothel; don't give up on me now Bunny.."

"Dad, no don't you dare give up, you too Toothless!" "I just can't loose you both; you're all I have left in this family, I don't want to be alone!" Hiccup didn't even care how unviking like he was acting but he let his tears fall as Toothless licked him before the dragon completely was gone. "TOOTHLESS!" "DAD, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME TOO!" Stoick gave him a small sad smile as he sank deeper. "Hiccup...I'll always be you son...Just remember that I love you son and never give up son, promise me that son."

"I-I love you too dad...and I promise..." "It feels like losing mom all over again, please dad, don't leave..." Hiccup whimpered as his right hand held on to his father's left hand. "You won't be alone son, you have friends and like I told you...I'll always be here.." That was the final words before the chief sank in completely while Hiccup wailed as tears violently fell. "Dad!?" "NOO!" "PLEASE DAD, COME BACK, DON'T GO!" "DAD!"

The ones who were sinking were gone, no one knew what became of them, but the four sat on the ground before wiping their sadness off their eyes. They each got up, faced the dark portal and the light that is supposed to close the black hole. "You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Jack questioned, and soon was answered by the rest of the Big Four, "You bet.." They needed to close the portal...At all costs...
