With that released that means square enix is bringing out kingdom hearts 2.5 remix soon, lord help me I will never ever go out of my house. I swear I don't know which chapter of The Ebony Knight and The Grimm Chronicles came first last week, however since somehow this chapter was already started I might as well post this then. Chapter 18: Back to school part two
There he was... The dead man walking.
Markus stood on the stage staring at Cardin while everyone else was staring at him, some people couldn't tell if it was the Ebony Knight due to his new outfit but as they continue to stare at him it became clear that it was Markus. All Cardin could do was stare, something about Markus wasn't right. Markus new clothing consisted on a black short sleeve shirt, on his right side he had a thick black cloth wrapped around his forearm while sporting a black fingerless glove. He had a brush silver shoulder guard over his shoulder with the back of the armor reaching down his back scapula, on his left side he had his metal gauntlet on with a silver midsize old French type of shield attached to it but upside down with the base pointing towards his shoulder. He sports a black slack with some pouches stitch on it with a holster also and a knife in its sheath tucked in his combat boots, the boots had metal underneath it.
Wrapped around his upper body was brown straps connecting to his sheath, the sheath was a long black rectangle box. The sword rain guard was in a shape of a Celtic cross colored black with the cross guard having a rectangle shape vertical metals pieces on each side, the grip had a light brown cloth that was ripped a bit around it
Markus held his helmet on his right hand as he took a step further as Goodwitch step away from the stage with her scroll in her hand; she looks at the two students before saying anything.
"Students... Get ready." She announced.
Cardin took a stance lifting his mace up in front of him while Markus put on his helmet, his friends couldn't move. They thought he was dead but there his was standing on the stage with the light shining down upon him, all they could do is stare at him with their wide eyes.
Cardin's body shook slightly but he manage to contain himself.
"That was one hell of an entrance huh?" Cardin nervously spoke.
Markus gave no response but only lifted his right hand to grab the grip of his sword; he gently pushes his sword deeper into its sheath activating something causing the sheath to hum.
Goodwitch took one more step back before lifting her hand up.
"... BEGIN!"
Markus whips his sword out of the sheath and intense electricity bursts out of it infusing itself with the sword, everyone got scared and hurriedly move backed. The electricity started to coat itself onto Markus's arm, Goodwitch face palmed at this action.
"Ebony... I would like for this fight to not end with any casualties."
Markus turns his head towards her as the electricity died down, she didn't see it but he rolled his eyes and put his sword back into its sheath.
"Fine~"
Cardin took this chance and went swinging towards Markus but his opponent acted quickly lifted his arm blocking the attack with his shield. Markus kicks Cardin making him back a little then sends a jab towards his face, the force of the punch made Cardin dizzy also causing a cut on his eyebrow. Cardin swings his mace at Markus side as his opponent swung his arm causing the attack to ricochet off the shield, as the mace went up with his arms following it Cardin sends down his weapon at Markus. Markus blocks it once again then threw his arm up giving Cardin an uppercut against his chin, Cardin's body was lifted in the air just a bit, landing on his feet Cardin backed up a little bit cupping his chin with his hand as Markus spins around lifting his leg up smashing his calf against Cardin's cheek.
Cardin skid across the stage almost tripping, he hissed at the pain given to him and charges at Markus once more. With one arm Cardin swings his mace at Markus but was easily caught, Markus had caught the mace with his gauntlet then he spins his body bashing his right elbow into Cardin's nose breaking it and knocking him out.
The lights turn back on as everyone was stunned on how fast the fight ended; Markus took off his helmet while Cardin was rushed to the nursing office by some students.
"That is it, the end of Combat training; I will see you all next time." Goodwitch announced.
Markus walked off the stage looking down with his helmet in his hand, breathing a little heavier than usual. He then stops as he notice shadows on the ground; he slowly lifts his head up to see his friends in front of him. They tried to talk to him, they really did. Their mouths kept opening and closing trying get words to come out but couldn't, only Lilly managed to speak.
"... Y-you look good." Lilly said.
"Well... I feel good." Markus smiled.
Markus had took a step back as his team jumped on him giving him a bear hug with Ruby and Nora joining in, as they let themselves go off of Markus he let out a small laugh.
"We- We thought you were dead... We saw you clobbered by that big dude." Yang said.
"I was..."
"And..?"
"I... Wait you guys didn't see the rest of the fight?" Markus asked getting the response 'no' by his friends as they shook their heads.
"It was... Too much for us to watch I had to turn it off." Pyrrha spoke.
Markus look to the side a bit knowing now that his friends didn't see him go berserk, however he didn't know whether to tell the truth.
"Well I managed to beat him..."
"How so?! That man kept smashing your head till it was left in a puddle of blood!" Weiss said.
"By pure luck and the power of will... hehe." Markus lied scratching the back of his head.
He friends looked at him then at each other, then back to him with concern looks.
"Then how come you're not... Not bruised up or anything?" Ruby asked.
"One: my Semblance helped out with the healing, Two: I still have a headache so don't think the Juggernaut was restraining himself."
"That was the Juggernaut!? The one that broke your back?! Hoooooow are you still alive?!" Jaune yelled.
"Like I said my friend, pure luck."
The others sighed but smiled afterwards, the three teams started to walk back to the dressing room as more waves of questions were asked.
"Soo what's with the new outwear hot stuff?" Yang questioned him.
"Well seeing that my old clothing was destroyed, I had to grab another outfit I made before I left The Order. Although I never thought I'll be wearing this, I'm surprise this fits me." Markus replied.
"Well it looks good on you, but what happen to your other weapon." Blake spoke.
"I have a friend who's going to get it fix, but I like this one too." Markus pulled out the sword of the sheath revealing the blade to be black.
"This one allows me to move faster when slashing or stabbing, also the sheath helps to."
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.
"Inside the sheath are multiple mini electrodes from the bottom of the sheath to the opening, in the very bottom of the sheath is a button activating a battery cause the electrodes to spark electricity. Also allowing me to control the current flow of the electricity and giving me a boost of power."
"Woah that's sooo cool, does it have a name."
"For this one yes, it's called Shadow Volt."
After they change into their uniform they exit the changing room with more questions being asked, as they walked to their next class Markus was getting stares from other students.
"Wait... So where were you two days ago?" Idris asked.
"I was still in the city resting... A lot..." Markus replied.
"Soo are you planning to join The Order again after what happen?" Lilly asked.
"Unfortunately no... I would like to but I got school." Markus said.
"I'm still amazed of the fact that you are still standing after the beating you received." Ren spoke.
"Ohhh maybe there's metal inside his body so he can't feel pain, oh oh or maybe he cast a spell on himself making him invincible!" Nora giggled.
"Hahaha... Sorry Nora but I did no such thing." Markus winked at her putting his index finger over his lips making a shush sound.
As they continue to walk more students stared at Markus mumbling to each other, Markus glance at them making the students walk away fast. For some reasons his friends hasn't notice other students doing this, Markus came to conclusion that the rest of the school must have continue watching the fight.
"Aww you cut your hair..." Yang said brush her fingers through his shorter hair.
Markus was long reaching his back but since cutting it, it ended by his neck.
"Well at least he doesn't look scary anymore, now we have a clearer view of his face." Weiss voiced in.
"He didn't look mean... He just... he just had... A mean look on his face." Yang tried to search for a nicer words but couldn't giving Markus a sheepish smile.
Markus rolled his eyes and smirk.
"C'mon guys... Let's head to class."
Later that night Team ELIC was in their dorm room resting for the next day, Markus had token his pants from the dressing room stitching a holster onto it.
"Umm Markus what are you doing?" Lilly asked holding a plate of sliced mangos in her hand.
"Putting on a holster for Beast Breaker." Markus replied not taking his off his pants.
He brought the pants closer to his face; he carefully put the needle through the fabric making sure not to mess up.
"Ok, but where did you get the holster?"
"From home, I put in my bag before coming to school."
"Oh... Mango?" Lilly passed the plate towards Markus which he gladly accepted it and grabbed two and put them in his mouth.
Sometime later the team was asleep; well expect Markus who was looking up at the ceiling. His headache was gone but couldn't figure out why he can't relax, he tossed and turn in his bed trying to get uncomfortable. A light pops up and something started to vibrate. It was Markus's tablet; he picks it up seeing what the commotion was. It was a message from Abigail, he smirks shaking his head.
"Boy... Guess I won't be sleeping tonight."

It was one hell of a chapter to get through, it feels like I'm running out of imagination and my thinker box is about to explode. Plus reading Hero of Vytal and Mama Weiss kind of stop me not blaming the authors, but me since this chapter should have been posted two days ago.
