A/N: Hey there my fellow members of FanFiction, I'm back from the dead after like a month. Apparently this fanfic was going to be discontinued for the lack of motivation and passion I had for this story, all I did was stare at my laptop as I did I couldn't write anything or think of something clever. It took a month and so discontinuing The Ebony Knight was my last choice; however upon entering my account and checking the amount of view I've received stunned me. The Ebony Knight had hit ten thousands views, my first thought was "Who the fuck is still reading this?!" But my second thought that if people are still reading this obviously they like it and want to read more so not being an asshole I will continue writing. This is problem though since volume 2 is coming soon so I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'll figure it out. So enough talk and enjoy!

Chapter 19: Team ElIC: Lilly Estella

"Cameron behind you!"

"Lilly watch out!"

"C'mon get Idris!"

"That's it! I had enough of this!"

Hours ago

Team ElIC was assign a mission to apprehend an incoming wave of Grimm heading towards a small town outside of Vale, the team gladly accepted it however they did not know of the amount of Grimm they were suppose to stop. Upon arrive at the small town they quickly headed towards a destination where they were able to get a look of wave of Grimm, standing on a hill in a huge green area the three childhood friends were shocked to see the large amount of monsters racing towards the town as Markus was not. The three looked at him mocking and teasing him for being a 'Badass EX agent and team leader, and that he should be able to fight alone.' Cameron being the one starting to mock Ebony, Markus grabbed him by his blue jacket and threw him down the hill face first. Cameron got up calling Markus asshole as he did but stop moving as he felt the ground tremble, shaking he slowly turn his head to see the hungry herd of Beowolves moving straight towards him. Cameron unsheathed his twin Chinese broadswords he readies himself for the attack, not without his team and friends jumping in with him.

A couple of hours had past and the team was getting exhausted due to the what had seem to be the 'endless amount of Grimm' according to Idris, they used a good sum of their auras and semblance against the Beowolves. Lilly piercing her lance into the ground causing a small earthquake destroying most of the ground, Idris glowed purple making his very fast quickly destroying the monsters around and Cameron slashing emission beams from his sword that were the color of gold. The three soon became tired and slowed down a bit but Markus was...

Present time

"That's it! I had enough of this!" Markus yelled.

With a small yet too many pack of Beowolves left electricity sparks and flows around his body as it reaches at the body of his sword, Markus swings Shadow Volt sending and intense electric emission beam at the monsters. At the beam hit the Grimm it either cut them in half or burn their flesh quickly killing them, the sword emission beam had done its job finishing of the last of beasts. Markus fell on one knee and took a look at his team; they had all fell on their bottoms exhausted and breathing heavy. Markus face grew a smirk as he stood back up and brought back his friends onto their feet, they dust themselves off not without nearly stumbling back onto the ground.

"C'mon guys... Let's head back home." Markus said.

An hour and a half later a dust plane and picked them up to bring them back to Beacon, they took a seat looking through the amazed of how beautiful the area is.

"You know... The more we fight the more ugly the world is going to become." Cameron spoke.

"What do you mean by that?" Idris asked.

"Well look at it, we're becoming hunters everyday learning what we need to know on how to fight Grimm. Although there could be countless of monsters out there what happens if there's another war? What happens if this time humans lost?"

"That's why we are here... together, to fight off the evil and to protect the innocent." Lilly said.

"And each other..." the three turn their heads to look at their leader.

"If you look at it the team system at Beacon wasn't made to put four people in one room and increase its space for students in the future, it was made so we can learn how to care of each other, to create bonds closer than our families and to cherish each other. We'll be spending four years at Beacon and in those years, we're going to go through some shit... together." The team leader said.

"Wow... Poetic." Cameron chuckled.

"Cameron if you keep running your mouth you'll going to find yourself paralyzed, naked in the girls' bathroom hanging by rope from your ankles." Markus gave a sinister look at Cameron who just gulped and looked away.

"Markus is right; I got this far only to end up with friends I do want to protect." Lilly said.

"You know I've been meaning to ask you something, why did you decide that you wanted to become a huntress?" Markus asked.

"Well... it kinda of started when I was younger."

Some years ago

"GAH!"

A young boy fell down after being punched by another; the attacker was surrounded by other boys in a small park in the city of Vale. The attacke was wearing a brown sweater with a black cap hiding their face, with beige pants and sandals. One by one each by try to hit the attacker but being smaller than they were, the attacker as quicker sending punches straight to each boys face, stomach also flipping them. This continue until the one of the boys was able to grab the attackers arms, unable to move one the boys try punching but the attack dodge it and head butts boy on the face breaking their nose. Jerking their head back the attacker smashes the back their head against the boy who was holding them, however doing so their hat had fall off with long brown hair dropping down and revealing their face.

The young boys had gotten up stunned and kind of amazing to see that they were fighting a girl, they looked at each other and laughed.

"H-hey! Why are you laughing?!" The girl asked.

"Y-y-you're a girl!" One of the boys laughed.

"Yeah so... What does that have to do with anything?!"

"We don't hit girls." Another boy said.

"Obviously you can't, you guys suck at fighting."

"Listen little girl, why don't you be more like a female and go home and learn how to cook or something."

Oh boy... Had the young boys stop laughing they would see the vein popping out the girls head, and the fists of fury that she unleashed on them.

Couple of hours later

"Lilly Estella! What were you thinking?!"

"But dad! They started!"

"It doesn't matter! It's like this every month; I keep getting calls from other kids parents about you beating them up. Lilly you're mother is training you to become a huntress, not a delinquent knocking people out from left to right."

"Urgh... You don't understand!"

"What don't I understand?"

Lilly had arrived home sometime before, entering the living room her father was on the phone talking sitting on a sofa. Trying to quietly escape to her room her father quickly turns his head giving her one nasty look, after finishing talking on the phone leaded to their argument. Lilly took a seat on the sofa with her father sitting next to her.

"Every time it's like this, boys always telling me that I should stick to doing girl things." Lilly said.

"And breaking their skulls will get them to shut up?" Her dad asked.

"It does..."

"For how long?"

"...A couple of days."

Her father sighs wrapping his arm around her bringing her closer to him, they sat there for a moment before the father got up from his seat with his daughter looking at him.

"Come I have something to show you." He says.

Leading her to his office room he walks towards a closet doors behind a desk and opens it, to Lilly this was a surprise she didn't expect. Hanging on the wall was a lance and a shield; her father took it down and walks towards her.

"We were suppose to give this to you when you are ready... but I guess you are ready." The Father said.

"What? I'm not ready for this?!" Lilly responded.

"You're able to beat the living crap out of kids then you are ready to learn to use Earth Piercer and use it to defend the people of Remnant."

Lilly's Father hands her Earth Piercer as she stared at it in awe, amazed on how light both the lance and the shield was.

"You know there is a reason why your mother is training you, you might not like the fact but it's all she has left from her family. Lilly's father spoke.

"Hmm what do you mean?"

"The name Estella did not come from me, it came from your mother."

"Eh?"

"The Estella family were once powerful and skilled warriors, however after the war no one really knew what happened to them the family just kind of died. Your mother wanted to bring the name back into people ears, she train so much that she would come home and just pass out on the floor. But she didn't get fulfil her chance because she met me, and we made you. That's why she wants you to become a huntress, so you can complete her mission."

Lilly couldn't say anything; her heart felt like it skipped a beat as she gripped onto Earth Piercer tighter. Her father kneeled down in front of her, placing her hand on her shoulder.

"So promise me that you won't use your abilities to crack a head open, use it to protect the people you care about and the innocents in this world. Become a fine huntress and bring back the Estella name to its glory, don't just do it for your mother or for me. Do it for your ancestors who fought hard to keep this world safe, and for a brighter future." Her father smiled at her.

Lilly also smiled also but was wider and more infectious than her dad's.

"Yes sir!"

"Good! Now come on let me cook you dinner, oh by the way every child born into the Estella family tree was a female."

"What?! No way!?"

"Yes way my dear, now come along I'm hungry."

God damn am I rusty as fuck!
