Well, here we are again, the delayed posts. Sorry about that, anyways, we're now going for an attempt at an arc, if you can guess what I'm basing it on by the end, you get a cookie. Anyways, I wonder what everyone thought of Kogasa and Kyouko. I know I changed Kyouko's character quite a bit, but I'm planning on making her a Parsee like character, the one you see in the Yuugi x Parsee relationships everywhere. Anyways, here is the story!

The Misty Lake was as it always was in the early hours of the morning, calm, quiet, and cool. The thick, billowing mists gently floating in the air, nulling most visibility from over 15 feet away, however, it was a beauty in of itself, the morning sun touching the top of the mists, and occasionally breaking the cover to reach into the lower levels, where a few lucky rays glistened on the lake's waters. This serenity usually lasted until the fairies' playfulness got the better of their laziness and they actually decided to get up and play. This particular morning however, the tranquility of the lake was disturbed by two traveling youkai, more specifically, two arguing youkai.

"I told you already! You have to go left when you see Marisa's house!" a high pitched voice echoed throughout the lake.

"I thought we just had to keep going instead of turning..." A slightly less high pitched voice piped out." Besides, how did we miss the Human Village? If we find that we should be able to find Mystia's stand, shouldn't we?" it continued.

"I've been in a band with Mystia for a couple of months; I think I know how to get to her stand!" The higher pitched voice yelled out in frustration. "Come on Kogasa, at least listen to what I'm saying!"

As these last words were heard, the two could actually be seen rather than only heard. Unsurprisingly, it was Kogasa and Kyouko, Kogasa having displayed the attention span of a goldfish, and Kyouko suffering for her actions at the Myouren Temple.

"Hush Kyouko, I think I see someone coming this way..." Kogasa said, putting her hands to cover Kyouko's mouth much to the Yamabiko's chagrin. "Oh, what is it now?" Kyouko said as she stopped her yelling and looked in a random direction, true enough; a small body was flying, if the term could be used loosely, towards the pair, its small wings trailing lazily behind it as it flew.

"Now that I think about it...that person looks familiar..." Kogasa said as the mass grew closer. Soon, the person came close enough for colors to be seen, and everyone's favorite 9 soon appeared.

"Hey Cirno, what's wrong? You seem...mad..." Kogasa said, troubled by the sight of the ice fairy's seriousness. True to the Karakasa's word, the fae had a look of anger on her face, similar to that of a small child that just had a candy taken from it.

"..." Cirno had not said anything, slowly gaining distance on the formerly arguing pair, however, the distance was great, and a certain Yamabiko's patience was small. It didn't take much for Kyouko to lose her patience, and soon she yelled out "Oh Hurry up and come out with it idiot!"

As soon as that word was uttered, the already low temperature dropped dramatically, so much that the mists themselves seemed to become heavier. The two youkai looked about warily, as if trying to look for help that would not come.

"...What ...did you call me?" Cirno croaked out, its voice becoming slightly cracked through a long period of disuse.

"I said, hurry up and come out with it you idiot!" Kyouko yelled out once more, her patience having long since run dry since having been traveling with Kogasa.

A large ice shard grazed Kyouko's left cheek, drawing an ever so small amount of blood from her. "Ho-my Byakuren, what was that for" the Yamabiko cried out in surprise. "You should know, idiot!" Cirno yelled, an emphasis being placed on the last word as she unleashed a barrage of ice shards at the two, who decided to split up to cause Cirno to divide her fire.

"Freeze Sign [Perfect Freeze]!" Cirno declared, a colorful array of bullets being shot out in all directions. Kogasa dodged with ease, while Kyouko was having a bit more trouble. "You ok Kyouko?" Kogasa called out cheerfully, dodging several blue bullets as she did so.

"This fairy has no strategy besides bullets everywhere, doesn't she?" Kyouko cried, narrowly grazing a few red bullets. "What are you talking about?" Kogasa yelled out, "This isn't even the fun part yet!"

Just then, the bullets stopped flying, and began to fly in a curved clockwise path. Kyouko grazed several more bullets, crying out, "Kogasa! Help me!"

'It's really not that hard...' Kogasa thought as she pulled out a spellcard. "Surprising Rain [Guerilla Typhoon]!" Kogasa declared, many orbs of danmaku swooping in to counter Cirno's own attack. "Eep!" Kyouko cried as several danmaku bullets collided next to her.

"That's not helping!" Kyouko yelled as she yelled at several bullets to break their course slightly, making it easier for her to dodge. "Heh, ` Snow Sign [Diamond Blizzard]!" Cirno cried out as she nimbly dodged several of Kogasa's bullets. Many bullets began to form and fly towards the youkai pair, who were doing their best to dodge, Kogasa's own spellcard having long since timed out.

"Wah!" Kogasa yelled as she grazed several bullets, "She's taking this seriously for some reason, Kyouko, let's both use an attack!"

"Fine, but let's hurry up and do it, I'm getting boxed in!" Kyouko cried as her room to dodge was slowly getting smaller.

"Mountain Echo [Yamabiko's Specialty Echo Demonstration]!" "Umbrella Sign [Flurry Traveler]!" The two spellcards were cried out rather awkwardly, as they were not in sync and almost muddled the declaration. The bullets from the two attacks almost seemed to be fighting each other for dominance, but the two cleared all of Cirno's bullets, and she too was soon shot down.

" Haaaah," Kogasa gasped as she saw the fairy finally calm down. "What was that all about, Cirno?" Kogasa said as she approached the defeated fae, Kyouko staying behind her from a safe distance should Cirno decide to attack again.

"You two..." Cirno started as she took in a deep breath, "Your annoying arguing was keeping us from –"" Let me explain," a new, calm voice cut Cirno's own short.

The three looked at the new arrival, a rather tall, lean fairy with green hair tied in a side ponytail, floated up to join the conversation.

"Dai-chan, I told you not to-""Not now Cirno-chan," Daiyousei said, cutting Cirno off yet again. "You see, the fairies of the lake don't like to be woken up early, like little kids, you see. So whenever Cirno here is woken up early, she has to go beat the source up so she can prove she's the 'strongest' among the fairies that did nothing against the source of the noise. But that didn't really work, now did it?" Daiyousei said, ruffling Cirno's hair.

"I beat the black-white..." Cirno muttered, but Daiyousei soon corrected her, "Cirno, I saw the fight, you were almost blown to bits while she was barely trying, don't start."

"But I'm the Strongest!" "Sure you are..."

Kyouko and Kogasa merely stared at the pair, trying to understand what was happening before their very eyes, it seemed like a child was being scolded by another, smarter child.

"Right, so we'll just go along now..."Kyouko started, grabbing Kogasa by the arm and beginning to fly in a random direction. "But I wanna keep talking to Dai-chan" Kogasa said, before Kyouko dug her nails into Kogasa's arms.

"Ok, ok!" Kogasa cried, following Kyouko into the depths of the mist. About half a minute had passed before Cirno and Daiyousei even noticed that the pair was gone, "Dai-chan, where'd they go?" Cirno asked. "You probably scared them off again, "Daiyousei answered.

"So they were scared of the strongest! "Cirno cried out, before cupping her hands around her mouth and yelling out "It's ok to come out everyone!" Several hordes of fairies soon appeared, a few of them holding sunflowers that they claimed was from Yuuka's garden, even though such a feat was impossible.

"Why am I getting a feeling that Byakuren lied to me...?" Sanae said as she made her way into the Forest of Magic.

Well then, I have no idea where my plans are going now. Reviews are always welcome, and requests as well. However, any requests will not take place until the end of this arc. And to those who know what arc this is, I apologize for not including the other member of team 9.
