And I feel like an absolute monster of a person for completely forgetting about this story… oops… I know I have turned into "That fanfiction writer" that pisses everyone off by not updating… sorry… to kind of make things up to you guys, there is a special guest in this chapter and we get a little bit of a look at how Nightcrawler views fighting. Again I am the worst person ever… shame on me… And thank you all for your follows and favorites and comments and just reading in general. I will be trying my hardest to write a bit of a chapter everyday so this becomes more regular. Thanks and sorry again.

~Chapter 5: Difference in views~

~Location: North-East Vietnam~

~Time: 4:28 A.M.~

Smoke billowed out of newly blown craters. Trees blocked what little moon light illuminated the landscape. It was a warzone, but felt more like Hell. Forces on both sides were beginning to tire and show weakness in their lines. It was only a matter of time before someone made a catastrophic mistake that would finally end the meaningless battle for good. Until then, the fight rages on. One small group of soldiers broke away to form a strategy. They were not just any small group of soldiers however; they are mutants, X-Men, students, and heroes in training. The group consists of five individuals: Cyclops: the would-be-leader, Jean Grey: the redheaded beauty, Shadowcat: the "Half-pint", Wolverine: the chaperone, and Nightcrawler: the… uh… new guy.

"Alright everyone, listen up. We've got twenty-three armed drones and some mutant on the other side. Take down any drone in sight but be extremely cautious of the mutant, we don't know who this person is yet. Am I clear?" The X-Men stared blankly at Scott… He rolled his eyes and took it to mean a "Yes" to his question.

"Actually, we do know who he is. I would never forget that smell." They all leaned in to hear who exactly Wolverine was sensing. "Wilson's out there." Everyone groaned, except Kurt.

"Who is this Vilson fellow if I might ask?" Kitty was the first to respond.

"His name is Wade Wilson. But he is better known as Deadpool. He's like totally crazy and never shuts up." She said with disgust as she crossed her arms across her chest and pouted.

"And he has an extreme healing ability so it is almost impossible to get him to stay down for more than a few seconds." Jean added. Kurt nodded and started to mentally analyze all of the information he had been given.

A grenade went off about ten yards from their hiding spot; it's time to get moving. Scott motioned for Jean to follow him to the left and for Kurt and Kitty to rush right. Logan's job was to run straight through the middle of the forest and be a distraction so the others had time to get into position. And a distraction he was! With a ferocious yell, Logan leapt into the air and sprinted full speed toward the middle of the enemy's ranks. Every single drone targeted this animal and began to fire. Nothing could stop the beast, this human weapon. A few perfectly placed adamantium claw slashes later, and five drones fell into a pile of broken technology and guns. To the left, two more seemed to get crushed by an invisible force while another three vaporized in a strange red beam. Before their ashes could fall, six more had fallen victim to the Wolverine's claws and another three to Jean's mind. The last four drones discovered why Scott wears his sunglasses and what happens when he takes them off.

The dust cleared. Jean and Scott came out from behind the trees and joined Logan amongst the fallen drones. Wolverine met eyes with Cyclops. They were both thinking the same questions, but it was Jean who asked them out loud.

"Where is Deadpool, and what happened to Kitty and Nightcrawler?

Kitty's Point of View

The plan was simple; rush right, take out a few drones, join the others. That's it. No surprises, plain and simple… so much for that right…

How were we supposed to know that that psychotic freak was hiding off to the right? I mean, come on, Logan should have totally smelled him in the trees or something; that's what he is here for. But NOOOOO. I get stuck with the creepy new guy taking on one of the most mentally unstable homo-superiors in the history of homo-superiors. And go figure this would happen to me.

Okay, so here is what happened. Nightcrawler broke cover first, being all sneaky and stuff. We were following orders pretty well… until…

No Point of View

"Did you hear zat?" Kurt's pointy ear twitched as a minute rustle in the distant woods betrayed whatever was lurking in the shadows. He quickly turned off of the path to investigate the disturbance. A baffled Kitty Pride was left in his wake.

"Where are you going? Hey, don't leave me!" She quickly pursued the rapidly disappearing blue tail into the unknown. A right turn at some thorny bushes, a jump over a small creek, and about ten seconds of constant looping around different landmarks soon left Kitty completely turned around, as well as alone. Her partner was nowhere to be seen. She didn't dare call to him for fear of blowing their cover (or whatever was left of it at this point). Sounds of metal slicing through metal reverberated through the forest; it was undoubtedly Logan being the "distraction".

"Great," She thought. "There goes our cue… Now where on Earth did that fur-ball go?" As the young lady began searching for tracks or even a hint of someone having been through the area, she was completely unaware of the turmoil which was tracking her. Two masked eyes were set on her every move; watching, calculating, and waiting for the perfect time to strike. With his brow set into a grimace, the hired hand reached for his holster to unclip one of the many weapons hidden on his person. With his classic Cult revolver in hand, Wade Wilson poised himself to prepare for his stealthy attack and…

"HEEEERE'S DEADPOOL!"

Elsewhere, in the vast forest, our blue furred protagonist turns sharply to the sound of yelling, followed by Kitty's startled yelp. With military precision as well as inhuman reflexes and flexibility, Nightcrawler leaps onto a low branch of a nearby tree and begins to climb. As the ever expected rush of adrenalin burns through his blood stream, he begins to teleport from tree top to tree top in order to get a better scope of his surroundings, as well as find his so called "partner". Team work is something very new to the devilish mutant, but it is still his responsibility to keep the young girl from harm.

After gracefully landing atop a larger tree, he spots the one known as Shadow Cat dodging and fazing bullets and kicks coming from a man in a full body suit who is clearly highly trained in his art of combat.

'I am guessing that that is the mutant.' Thought Nightcrawler as he teleported with a BAMF! to a closer tree. A devilish smirk crossed his face as his glowing yellow eyes caught sight of two sheaths on the crazed mutant's shoulders. With yet another BAMF! Kurt was now concealed behind a bush and facing the would-be-assassin's back.

Meanwhile, Kitty thoroughly had her hands full evading the attacks of her mentally insane assailant. Deadpool's highly trained yet unpredictable and ridiculous fighting style was hard enough to defend against alone, but there was one more trick up his sleeve; his voice.

"Shouldn't a little tot like yourself be off at the mall buying some extremely overpriced yet fabulous bags (note to self: steal new pouches for utility belt) instead of running around the jungle fighting baddies (like me, Mr. overlord of all baddies[I even have a plaque])? There could be assassins (haha! ASS-ASS-ins!) out here." Kitty scoffed at the unneeded bantering and fazed through a thrown grenade that instead of blowing up, just hit the ground and rolled.

"AWWWWWWW DUUuuuUUD! You are suppose to go BOOM! Guess I gotta do this the old fashion way…with SWORDS!" The merc-with-a-mouth reached back to grasp his chosen fighting tools and instead grasped nothing but air.

"Looking for these?" *SLICE!* Deadpool dropped to the ground suddenly with a very deep gash in the back of his legs from his stealthy assailant. The young swordsman quickly moved in between the would-be mercenary and a baffled Kitty, holding the now bloodied swords in his tight grip.

"I don't know if anyone told you, Fuzzball, but steeling is a big no no, especially when you are a part of the goody-two-shoes group with Mr. I'm-the-best-there-is-at-what-I-do. Shall we dance then?" The merch said while making a dramatic Latin ballroom pose with a gun in each hand. Kurt rolled his eyes before rushing back in for battle.

From next to the nearest tree, the young beauty stared in shock as the Weapon X experiment and the beastly teen clashed into a ball of slicing swords and blazing bullets. With absolutely no idea what to do in a situation like the one in front of her, Kitty merely fazed through any stray ammunition that came her way, whether from missing their mark or being deflected off of the blades in the hands of an obvious master.

"YIOUCH! That is going to leave a mark!(Not really dear reader, I have a healing factor. You can stop crying over me being hurt. Yes, you in the purple shirt. It will all be A-OK)" shouted Deadpool as Kurt landed a gash down his bicep that was deep enough to make the bone visible before back flipping to a safe distance.

"You cannot vin gunman, I have you out-skilled!" mocked Nightcrawler with a not so innocent grin. Deadpool made an over exaggerated motion with his hands before replying.

"Well DUH I can't win." He said while placing his hands on his hips in a sassy manner. "The writer of this story hates me compared to how much they love you.{Hey, you leave me out of this!} (Shut up writer lady! You know it is true!) Plus, I have read the X-Calibre miniseries from way back in the Age of Apocalypse story so I already know how this whole "Healing Factor vs. Teleportation" battle is going to end… so… ya, that is about it."

"You really are a crazy fellow aren't you?" muttered our hero.

"You have no idea pall…"

Kurt sighed in annoyance as Deadpool's wound healed up. 'I must think of a new strategy for this one… Every time I hit him he just heals himself… I got it!' Nightcrawler thought right before he disappeared into a cloud of smoke and blue flame only to reappear on Wilson's back.

"See! I knew this was coming! Right out of X-Calibre #3 when Darkholme took out Dead Man Wayne by tel…" BAMF!

Having just located the two missing members of their team, Logan, Scott and Jean gazed in horror at the sight they beheld. The new X-man was slowly standing from the ground with an evil blood lust look in his piercing yellow eyes while holding Deadpool's severed head. Kitty was busy covering her mouth and leaning against the tree in order for her not to lose her lunch do to the brutality the young maiden had just witnessed.

"Computer, terminate training program Gama." Cyclops forced out. As Kurt slowed his breathing from the adrenalin rush, his surroundings began to pixilate and disappear around him, including the motionless head in his hands. He forgot that this was all a training simulation in the X-Men's Danger Room. A slightly traumatized Kitty ran into Jean Grey's arms in such a hysteria that showed that, while she remembered it was all fake, the fear she felt toward her partner's rage and violence was very much real. The blue demon averted his eyes from his would-be companions and walked out to go hit the showers.
