Aladdin's POV

The four of us were standing in front of the Room of Requirement. It had been decided that none of us would got to the Chamber of Secrets until it was absolutely necessary.

I was hoping that 'absolute necessity' thing would not be soon.

Walking up to what looked like an oak door, I knocked on it. Quickly, it opened and I was pulled into the dark room by surprise causing the others to exclaim in protest.

The door was closed and locked behind me while a wand was pressed against my throat.
"Aladdin?!" A familiar voice exclaimed. Wait a second…No. Bloody. Way.

The fire was relit to reveal who was standing in front of me-Teddy.

"Teddy Lupin!" I exclaimed, looking at the twenty four year old in shock as he lowered his wand. Behind him, Scorpius was standing in front of a couch having obviously stood up when Teddy yanked me in. "What in the world are you doing here?!"
Teddy Lupin was one of the worst case scenario stories when it came to family acceptance. With Harry Potter-the Boy-Who-Just-Won't-Freaking-Die-as his godfather and the rest of his basically family being in Gryffindor, it was just assumed that was what he would be as well.

However, when the time came, Teddy was sorted into Slytherin. The next day, though, as he was sending letters to the family, he never said he was a Slytherin…he said he was a Gryffindor. Since Victoire was the only one to go to school for the next few years and none of the Professors thought of him anymore, it was rather easy to keep the secret for as long as he did. It only came out as more and more of the Weasley clan started going to the school. No one was sure who let the cat out of the bag, but when the rest of the family found out-chaos. At the end of his seventh year, Teddy left his family and ran into the Malfoys who gave him a job as long as he didn't use magic too close to them. Teddy scoffed and said he was done with magic, going as far as to snap his wand. He hasn't even changed his hair color since.

"And where did you get the wand?" I asked in surprise as I saw a wand in Teddy's hand. As mentioned earlier, he snapped his wand long ago.

"Ollivander's." Teddy said. "We-"
"Why?" I asked. "And why did you just pull me in here?"
"Because-"
"And why are you here?" I asked, looking at Scorpius.

"If you just shut up!" Teddy exclaimed, glaring at me. "I could explain."

There was more knocking on the door and muffled shouting causing Teddy to glare at me once more. "How many people are out there?" He asked.

"Three." I stated.
"Why?" Scorpius asked, eyebrows furrowed.
"We were looking for you." I explained.

Teddy grumbled underneath his breath and opened the door, causing all three to stumble into the room. "Why, thank you, Teddy." Romana grumbled as she 'dusted' herself off. Her head snapped up. "Teddy?!"
"Hey, Manie." Teddy smiled.
"Teddy!" She exclaimed, running up to him and throwing her arms around him.

All the Slytherins knew Teddy as most of us stayed at Scorpius house over the breaks. Teddy was basically an older brother to Romana.

"Teddy?" Albus and James asked in simultaneous shock.

Teddy's eyes snapped to the two brothers and he quietly put down Romana.

"Albus, James." He greeted stiffly.

"You're alive?" James gasped.

"Uncle Ron said you were dead!" Albus exclaimed.

Romana, Scorpius and I looked at each other in shock. We had all known Teddy for years and certainly not as a ghost.

"It was all over the daily prophet and everything." Albus explained at our shocked looks as if trying to get us to remember.

"My parents don't read the Daily Prophet anymore," Scorpius explained.

"Mum's blind." Romana said. "What use would she have of a newspaper?"

I shrugged. "I didn't even know I was a witch back then so…"

Albus' eyebrows furrowed as James snorted, "You thought you were a squib?"

"No, I didn't even-Wait a second," I said, looking at the two of them. "Do you still think I'm a pureblood?"

"Well…I did…considering last night…" Albus muttered tilting his head in confusion.
At that term, Teddy, Romana and Scorpius looked at me with identical looks of shock.

"Get your heads out of the gutter!" I exclaimed at them, feeling the heat rise to my face. "It was NOT like that!"

"Are you trying to say that you aren't a pureblood?" James asked.

I nodded my head with a smile. "Muggleborn through and through."
"Yeah, and you should see the place she lives," Scorpius muttered under his breath.

He hated the orphanage, but liked to make fun of me about it. When I first met him, I told him my house had six stories. It did…but so did most other institutions.

"Shut it," I growled under my breath at him.

"Yep," Romana said, smiling at me. "Has six stories."
At that, Scorpius, Romana and Teddy started laughing as I crossed my arms and glared at them all.
"I was eleven!" I tried to remind them. "It wasn't the best choice of words, I apologize! How was I supposed to think you thought I lived in a freaking mansion?!"
"You said you were an only child," Romana reminded.

"What about Anna?" Albus asked.
"I am completely confused." James muttered, sitting down on a couch.

We all sat down and everyone looked at me to explain.
"OK," I sighed. "So, to recap, you two think all Slytherins are purebloods, right?"
Albus and James looked at each other, then back at me.

"Well, besides Romana…she told me about her dad." James explained.

"Oh, boy," I sighed, rubbing my temples. "The only pureblood in Slytherin is Scorpius. No more, no less. One."

"So that makes you…what exactly?" Albus asked.
"A muggleborn. A muggleborn orphan, to be exact. I grew up in East London Orphanage since the age of five when I was found alone in a park." I explained to the shock of the two.

As the two Gryffindors let the information sink in, Romana turned to Teddy. "So," She said. "What are you doing here?"

At this Teddy's expression turned grave and he turned to me.

"Aladdin, did you happen to get a letter last summer?" He asked.

"Yes. But then again, I got a lot of letters last summer-mind being a bit more specific?" I asked.

"This letter would be from graduated Slytherins who aren't exactly pleased with how they are currently being treated." Teddy elaborated. "They have even asked if you knew who the Parseltongue was."
"Yea, I did." I said, surprised that he knew. "I threw it away thinking that it was a joke. It was from Riley Williams-when is he ever serious?"

"Well…he was that time," Scorpius sighed. "He sent me a letter as well, saying that he knew I was the Parseltongue. I guess, due to my blood status, he just assumed that I was.
"But you told him that was stupid, right?" I asked. "And you went on your merry way?"

Scorpius looked down at his feet, a blush rising to his cheeks. "Not exactly."
"He ignored them," Teddy explained. "And because of that, they now not only think that he is the parseltongue, but is against them. Now, they want him dead."

"OK, you've lost me." I replied.
"And me." Romana said, completely confused as well.

"I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole muggleborn thing," James joked.

"Basically, every Slytherin that has graduated since the war is now trying to flip the switch and take control of the wizarding world." Teddy said. "There is a prophecy that says this rebellion will only win if they have the Basilisk tamer on their side."

"The Basilisk?" Romana asked. "Why the Basilisk?"
"My father killed that thing in his second year." Albus protested.
"Uh-oh…" I muttered.
"What did you remember last night, Aladdin?" Albus asked, hearing my small mutter.

With a nervous chuckle, I looked up to see the people in the room all looking at me in expectance.

"Um…Let's just say that the Basilisk will come back to its full power at the end of this year. It's alive now, but very…very weak." I explained.

Gasps of shock echoed around the room and Teddy looked at me with suspicious eyes. "How do you know this?"

"It's why we were rounding up Romana and Scorpius," Albus explained.

"Albus and I have this insane idea that in no way can be possible, but seems very likely." I said nervously.

"What idea?" Scorpius asked.

"We think that we have been teleported from back in time." I said quietly.

"From the Founders era." Albus muttered.

"And the only way to see if this is true is for us to go to the Chamber of Secrets and, well…according to this wacky dream both of us had last night-which we think might be memories-anyone who goes into the Chamber of Secrets has their entire life kept in a giant pensieve in the middle of the statue of Salazar Slytherin." I said.

The others just looked at us, their faces betraying nothing. A cold silence settled in causing me to fidget uncomfortably.

Finally, Romana broke the silence. "Where's the entrance?"
"You have got to be kidding me!" James exclaimed. "We're not actually going to go down there!"

Romana sent him a cold glare that quickly shut him up. "Aladdin is like my little sister," Romana said, shooting me a glance. "And Albus is your little brother."

"Exactly!" He exclaimed. "So wouldn't I know if he was adopted? Trust me, he looks way too much like my father."

I rolled my eyes at his ignorance. "It's called an adoption spell," I said with a 'duh' tone. "The person who casts the spell on the child is the person that the child will look like."

"Allie-are you sure this is a good idea?" Scorpius asked nervously. "I mean…the basilisk. Even weak, it's a dangerous creature."
"We need to know." I explained causing Scorpius to groan.

"Fine! I'm in."

We looked at Teddy who was obviously running his fingers through his hair out of stress. Looking at all of us, he looked into my eyes.

"I know the real reason you're doing this, Allie." He said causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "It's to give me a heart attack. I'll come, but only because I'd be out of a job if I let any of you kids get hurt."
"Great," I smiled. "So, who knows the entrance?"
Albus smirked. "We do," he looked at James.

"We do?" James asked in shock.
Albus groaned. "Moaning Myrtle's bathroom," He explained. "One of the faucets…dad talks in his sleep."

"Then why-I'm not going to ask. To Myrtle's bathroom we go," I smirked at the rest.

As we approached Myrtle's bathroom, it was to my surprise that only Romana and I walked in.

"Aren't you coming?" I asked the boys.

"That's the girl's lavatory," Albus reminded.

"Haunted by a ghost causing no one to use it. Also, it's the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. So will you stop being freaking pansycakes and come on?!" Romana exclaimed, holding the door open.

"Pansycakes?" Teddy asked as he started to head in.
"It's from a muggle book," Romana explained. "Highly offensive."

"Yea," I snorted, leaning against the wall. "If you're six."

Romana shot me a glare as Albus and James walked through. Just as she was about to close the door there was the call of a girl.
"Hey! Wait up!" With that, a frizzy, red haired girl walked in.

"Hey, look who joined the party." James smiled, putting his arm around his cousin. "She's sane. She'll talk you all out of this death trap."
Rose looked at him like he had lost his mind. Lifting his arm off from around hers, she walked over to Scorpius.

"What's going on?" She asked. "Why is Teddy here?"
Scorpius sighed, "We still aren't positive as to why Teddy's here and we're going to the Chamber of Secrets."
I expected her to run away screaming in fear. Or call her mum. Or even tell us we're insane.
"I'm coming." She decided.

Was not expecting that.
James' look was priceless as we all began searching for the sink. Supposedly, it was supposed to have a carving of a snake on it. Great.

I was at the third sink and the second I placed my hand on it, I felt the fangs. Looking over it, I saw that it was clearly the image of a truly terrifying snake.

"Hey!" I called everyone over to the sink. "I found it!"

Turning the tap, the sink moved away and revealed a ladder leading to a dark underground tunnel. Without a second thought, I started descending into the tunnel.
"What happened to Gryffindors being idiots?" Albus muttered as he followed me.
"Gryffindor was the hat's second choice." I rebutted, hopping off the later and landing onto the damp concrete floor.

A musty smell hung in the air, and it was pitch black a wall of rocks lay before us. Great. Just great.
"Oh, yeah," Albus muttered. "Forgot about that. A bad spell by Uncle Ron's wand lead to all these rocks collapsing."

Taking out my wand, I pointed it at the rocks.
"Reducto!" I exclaimed, causing the rocks to turn into a fine, powdery dust. "That was easier than expected."
We climbed over the rocks turned to dust and continued on our way. Water dripped from the ceiling, aggravating as Merlin.

"You know…I think that's the first time I've seen you do magic outside of class." Albus said in surprise.

"Probably," I muttered.

Romana took over. "We use as little magic as we can," Romana explained. "That way it isn't such a shock to our magical core when we don't use it anymore when we graduate."
"Wha-Why would you stop using magic?!" Rose exclaimed in shock.

"We're Slytherins," Teddy reminded her with a laughter void of happiness. "Magic is a curse-not a gift."
The Gryffindors seemed astounded. Who wouldn't be? Wizards and witches who thought magic a curse was unheard of. However, when people judge you because of the fact that you are an ambitious person with magic it makes it hard to enjoy it.

"You know, it took rather specific conditions to create Voldemort," I said as we reached a large, circular vault like door with snakes crisscrossing all over it. "He couldn't love because he was conceived while his dad was under Amortentia."
Looking at the door, I closed my eyes and pictured a garden snake. "Open," I hissed.

The snakes slowly unraveled themselves in a graceful dance until the door was able to swing open. Stepping inside, my breath was taken away.
It was beautiful. Pillars of marble rose from the ground to a ceiling you couldn't see. A thin sheen of water covered the ground. Before us was a large, marble statue that was the head of Salazar Slytherin.

Inside the mouth was what looked like a very large bowl that looked as high as my shoulders. Something about it called to me, beckoning me to come to it. But I couldn't. Not yet.

"Close your eyes," I told everyone in English.
"What about you?" Albus asked worriedly.
"The Basilisk can't hurt me. My family created it."

With that, everyone's eyes drifted closed while I searched for the giant snake without moving. Giving up, I closed my eyes once more. "Come to me."

A loud, slithering sound could be heard and as I opened my eyes, I watched a giant serpent slither from the left, hollow eyeball of the statue.

It appeared before me and gazed into my eyes.

"Hello, Mistress." It said. "I've been watching you for a while now."

"You have?" I said with a detached tone that only Slytherin's can seem to achieve. "Never mind that. I wish for you to sleep in the forehead of the statue for a full forty-eight hours."

"Yes, Mistress." The great beast said with what seemed like teenage reluctance and attitude.
With that, it slithered away to do my bidding. Once I was sure that it was asleep, I turned back to my friends.
"It's safe." I said and started heading towards the bowl.

The sound of rapid footsteps behind me told me that they were following. We reached the bowl and Albus and I looked at each other shakily.
"Do you guys want to wait here or…?" I asked, looking at them.

"How about Rose and I come?" Scorpius asked. "The others stay."

I shrugged and looked to Albus. "I'm good," He replied.
"See ya soon," I said giving Teddy and Romana a weak smile.

Romana smiled back broadly at me as Teddy gave a small wave.

"Good luck, brother," James told Albus.

With that, I dipped my hand into the bowl along with Scorpius, Rose, and Albus.

The memories came at me full force, barely showing themselves but causing me to recall them in my head. Memory after memory came-birthdays, holidays, summer days, winter days, school days, people, friends, family, strangers, pets.

There was one of me blowing out five birthday candles with Albus right next to me as people around us said Happy Birthday. We shared a birthday.

It was Christmas. I was thirteen along with Albus, who was literally two hours older than I. He gave me a silver locket with my initials CS on the front. My name was Corrine Lorina Slytherin. I gave him a journal with the name Edward Gryffindor on it. Albus was Edward Arthur Gryffindor.

I was petting a dark brown rabbit. Her name was Mopsy. I had her for seven years until she died peacefully in her sleep. Edward and I buried her underneath a baby willow tree that was just barely dipping its leaves in the lake that we still hadn't named.

My mom curled my hair for me. The locket that I had gotten two months ago still clasped around my neck. Edward had been courting me for a month now.

Edward and I under the same willow tree that we'd buried my rabbit as he stole my first kiss.

Our parents were acting odd as Edward and I reached our fifteenth birthday, making us promise that we would stay in our rooms the whole day. Saying there was a prophecy that said that the two soulmates of rival houses shall disappear on their fifteenth Hallow's Eve, never to be seen again, and brought back only to restore the honor of the Forgotten Family. They didn't realize that 'disappear' meant death.

Edward and I's souls being preserved through time. Edward was then given to the Potter's as the second son. I was born due to a teenage pregnancy.

The teenager kept me until my fourth year of life where I was taken by…and everything went black. The next thing was me as a five year old, beaten and cold, in a park without a name or a thing to call my own.

The memories ended there and I was back in my own body, Albus looking at me in shock. It was odd, though.

I no longer looked at him as a stranger that I had been paired with for some stupid project, but as a friend. He was someone that had once known everything about me, and I him. The surge of emotions became too much and I became very dizzy. Soon, the floor was a very comfortable place.
