Well then, I apologize to all my readers, however few you may be, for the ridiculously large break. I had a degree of writers block (read: laziness) that occurred during break, but I'm hoping to make up for it with a large chapter (for me), if anyone's actually interested, I'll be taking requests for possible victims (F.O.E.s) for Kogasa, and this should wrap up the EoSD arc like thing that I've been writing...I should work on self-confidence...ah well, read and enjoy!
"This is just like last time with Marisa and the shrine maiden, you get to have all the fun while I'm just left in my room!" Flandre said angrily, her features become more marked as she seemingly lectured her older sister, whose eyes were as full as the moon above her. "Well I've had it with waiting, every time someone passes by my door, I always ask if they're ready yet, but it's always no, or worse, it's that accursed thump!"
"Which one is she talking about?!" Koakuma gasped as her eyes quickly darted to Patchouli, before being hit over the head by the aforementioned librarian with a thick tome.
"Flan, you see, I was fighting with them to see if they were strong enough for you..." Remilia tried to justify her actions against the very menacing Flandre, who wanted to hear none of it. "SURE!Just like that time when Marisa came the first time, you let her leave!" Flandre stamped her foot, causing a small tremor to be felt amongst the Mansion.
"Mistress Flandre, the incident with Marisa only occurred because she managed to best all of us in combat, none of us could stop her at the time." Sakuya attempted to reason with Flandre, and seeing the lapse in her anger, decided to continue, "Furthermore, the duel between her and these two," she waved an arm in Kogasa and Kyouko's direction, "Has just ended, they seem to be worthy, so would the young mistress want to have a duel against them? "
Flandre seemed to have a catharsis, and she held up her two hands, and looked at her right, which everyone who lived at the manor feared that she would close. She muttered several different things to herself, before looking up at the gathered crowd and declaring, "Fine, but this time I want Big Sis to play with me too!"
Everyone turned to look at Remilia, who looked rather sad indeed when compared to the looming Flandre. "Mistress Flandre," Sakuya pushed her luck," would you mind giving your elder sister a few minutes to recuperate? As I said, she very recently had a battle, so please allow her a few minutes."
Flandre quickly turned her head to look at the worn Kogasa and Kyouko, Kogasa's umbrella seemingly singed at the edges. "They don't look like much," Flandre dismissed the pair with a casual wave, "How were they able to beat Big Sis?" she asked curiously, the idea that these two were able to best her Big Sister Remilia in combat(however restricted) was very foreign to her.
"You see Milady, these two fought by the spellcard rules, and since they were skilled in dodging your elder sister's attacks, they were able to beat her in a spellcard duel, but it was your sister's terms that if she were to win, the two would play with you." Sakuya concluded, looking back and forth between Kogasa who was lost in the matter, Kyouko, who looked like she was done with life for the day, Patchouli, who had decided that her book was much more interesting than what was going on, Koakuma, who watched with a keen vigor as she rested her chin on Patchouli's head, much to the librarian's chagrin, and Remilia, who had a resigned look on her face as she looked at Sakuya hopefully.
"Fine," Flandre conceded with a sigh, "But I'm only waiting an hour at most! I wanna play!" A rather bone crushing weight was lifted off of everyone's shoulders, and Kogasa promptly knocked out on Kyouko's shoulder, Kyouko soon following her lead.
"Well, it's not like they would have missed much," Patchouli said, her usual tone having returned to her voice. "The sun's about to rise anyways,"
"Aww, Big Sis never lets me have any fun!" Flandre pouted, and jumped onto Meiling, who arrived shortly before Kogasa and Kyouko knocked out. "Hey, Meiling, you wanna play with me while I wait for these two to wake up?" Flandre now rested quite comfortably, sitting on Meiling's shoulders while her head lie on Meiling's hat.
"Sure Flan-chan," Meiling said with a smile as she took out a small device, "The ice fairy Cirno brought me this, she said that it works for distracting other fairies, and that she was giving it to me because her green-haired friend told her to." Meiling said as she pressed a small button. A thin red beam shot out and landed on the wall, marked by a small red dot, Flandre immediately took notice, and she jumped off of Meiling and chased after the small dot, Meiling, who was expecting this, moved the beam about quickly, what she was not expecting, was for Flandre to bowl away any fairy maids that took notice of the beam as well. It didn't take long for the two to disappear down one of the Mansion's many hallways.
"I swear, this is just getting ridiculous, Remi pull yourself together!" Patchouli said as she attempted to lift her head by the arm, struggling until she gave in with a small Mukyu. "Koakuma, help Sakuya take Remi to her room," Patchouli ordered her familiar as Sakuya began to lift Remilia up. "Don't worry Patchouli~ I'll be very gentle~" Koakuma said with a wink as she helped lift the surprisingly heavy vampire.
"All that drama and boof, the greatest threat in the Mansion is lead away by the China girl," Patchouli said with a sigh as she floated back into the mansion, "And don't use her body to open the door!" she yelled after Koakuma as the succubus tried to apply enough pressure to open the door to Remilia's bedroom, Sakuya was laying down a bit further down the hallway, a small stream of blood trickling down her nose. "This is gonna be a long day," Patchouli said, summoning a small gust of wind to open the door for Koakuma, who, not expecting this sudden change in events, fell down on top of the vampire with a squeak. She quickly picked Remilia back up and casually threw her onto her grandiose bed, the vampire landing with a small poof as the swarm of blankets enveloped her.
"Ugh, what happened?" Kyouko said with a groan as she woke up, Kogasa, she noticed, clung to her arm with a seemingly impregnable vice grip, but what surprised her most was not that she was looking up at a red ceiling, and was wrapped both in Karakasa brand snugglin, as well as a plush white blanket, but rather that when she sat up, she felt a rather pleasant breeze traveling the several corners of Kyouko. Blushing immediately, she quickly lied back down to find that Kogasa was in the same situation, making the already awkward situation that much worse.
She noticed what sound like a clumsy shuffle taking place outside, and she attempted to lift only her head to see what was going on, almost immediately after she managed to look up while maintaining her decency, Flandre burst in, soon followed by her Chinese overseer. "Hi!" she chirped as she tackled Kyouko down, causing the Yamabiko to wonder how exactly she got into this exact situation. "Flan-chan, get off of her, she's only just woken up." Meiling crooned as she attempted to pry Flandre off of Kyouko, she grudgingly complied, and Kyouko was suddenly able to breathe much easier.
"Bid Sis told me you two were gonna play with me later, and that she was gonna play too!" Flandre chirped excitedly, he face one of childish delight, "Is that true?" she asked, her face almost right next to Kyouko's as she seemingly teleported next to her. "Gah!" Kyouko started, causing Kogasa to wake up, her vice grip unfaltering. "Hey guys, what I miss?" the karakasa said with a smile as she rose and stretched her free arm. "Oh, nothing, your friend here just woke up a bit before you did," Meiling said as she kept a wary eye on Flandre, who was staying right next to a petrified Yamabiko. "You ok Kyouko?" Kogasa said as she waved one of her hands in front of the Yamabiko's face, which was enough to snap Kyouko out of her trance like state, as she immediately began trying to hit Kogasa's hand out of her field of vision.
"Are you two done yet?" Flandre sulked next to Meiling, annoyed that she didn't get a response from her two future 'playmates'. "Huh? Oh yeah, you're that one girl that Remilia was afraid of," Kogasa said, a slightly confused look on her face, "what was it, Fran, Faln, Fern..."
"It's Flandre silly!" Flandre said as she leapt onto Kogasa with an ever so slightly body crushing hug, her previous mood been forgotten entirely "An big sis says that you two are gonna play with me, and so is she!" Flandre chirped brightly as she continued to squeeze Kogasa. Meiling pried off the small vampire when she saw the Karakasa's eyes bulge slightly.
"That's enough for now, Flan Flan," Meiling said to the depressed loli, "If you treat them too roughly they'll break...again..."
"What do you mean again?!" Kyouko yelled in shock as Kogasa appreciated the most wonderful thing known as oxygen, "In case you haven't figured it out yet," Patchouli's bored voice cut in, "The younger one is ridiculously strong, and she often breaks her toys, and people, without trying." The aforementioned librarian soon floated into the room, causing Kyouko to become as pale as Remilia the night before.
'If Patchouli's here, then...oh no...' "Hello Everyone~!" Koakuma called out cheerily as she burst into the room, Kyouko quickly tried to hide under the covers, but Koakuma would have none of it. "Now what are you doing down there~?" Koakuma asked as she slowly made her way towards Kyouko, Kogasa was still attempting to recover her lost stores of air.
"Go away," Kyouko said with a tone that implied that she would rather be anywhere but there. "Oh, why~ Are you worried that I'll take that which shouldn't be taken from sweet, in more than one way, little girls such as yourself~?" "That's enough Koakuma," Patchouli said as she knocked Koakuma over with a book, "You've already teased the poor girl enough in her sleep-"
"SHE DID WHAT?!" Kyouko said with a roar that seemed to come from the deepest layer of Makai, Koakuma reflexively dodged a complex danmaku pattern sent her way, and Kyouko stood up, one arm holding the blanket while the other attempted to tie the blanket around her body so she could continue unencumbered. Kogasa however, was left with nothing else but air and a fleeting memory of soft cloth.
"Flandre," Patchouli said quickly, the mentioned vampire quickly tackled the rampaging Yamabiko and restrained her while Meiling pulled out another blanket for Kogasa, who's brain was still muddled from oxygen's sudden disappearance and it's reappearance.
"LET ME GO!WHEN I GET A HOLD OF HER IMA-"Kyouko's screams of rage were suddenly gone; a satisfied looking Patchouli quickly beat Koakuma with the book she was holding.
"I swear I'm gone for two seconds..." Sakuya's voice preceded the Head Maid as she opened the door to see Meiling quickly covering a dazed Kogasa, Flandre bear hugging a furious looking but oddly silent Kyouko, and Patchouli beating Koakuma with a book ('Nothing really out of the ordinary' the chief maid thought.)
In an instant, Meiling was standing in the corner with a knife just in front of her forehead, Koakuma bound with rope, Kogasa fully clothed, Kyouko having been reduced from rage filled Yamabiko to one drowned by blankets, Flandre on top of Patchouli by some odd twist of fate, and Sakuya with several knives in one hand and a silver pocket watch in the other. "Any problems?" she asked as a playing card slowly floated down next to Meiling.
"Now that that's settled," Sakuya said, everyone having traveled to a small patch of land close by to the gate that wasn't covered with flowers, Flandre having brought an umbrella, "What was all that fuss about, I was preparing food in the kitchen and I was able to hear all of you,"
"Simply put, Koakuma was being her usual perverted self," Patchouli said as she ceased floating and sat down at a small table perfect for accommodating their numbers, " And the young Yamabiko took it that her sleep was not undisturbed." A small tray laden with small foods and a tea kettle and several cups appeared in front of Patchouli.
"Ah, so it was something that simple..." Sakuya said with something of a smile. Meiling sat down at the chair closest to the gate and happily brought a tea cup towards herself soon followed Flandre, who happily sat next to her. Kogasa was about to make her way towards the table, but she was held back by a still fuming Kyouko, who had yet to recover the ability of speech. "Oh yes, I forgot about that," Patchouli said, waving an arm lazily in Kyouko's direction, the Yamabiko immediately showing signs of ending her rant.
"And if you ever do that again, I swear to Byakuren I will-""Be at the mercy of my blade," Sakuya said, holding a silver knife to Kyouko's throat, "Anyone who threatens an inhabitant of the mansion, even that sorry excuse of a devil (Koakuma: Achoo!), will have me to answer to."
The happy environment that was floating about was quickly replaced with one as icy as the Head maid's eyes; Kyouko looked as if she were turned to stone, and the others, including Kogasa, seemed resigned to watch Kyouko. "Fine..." Kyouko muttered angrily as she conceded, "But convince that damned...lolicon to stay away from me..."
"Even Kokoro can't do that," Sakuya said with a sigh as Koakuma happily flew towards Kyouko and embraced her, "Looks like we're together again Kyouko~" "Get her off me!" Kyouko yelled as she attempted to pry off Koakuma, everyone else had decided to eat.
"So why is Remilia terrified of Flan? She looks pretty harmless to me, just enthusiastic is all," Kogasa said, taking a bite out of a small rice ball and looking at Flandre, who was vigorously eating several things at once, Patchouli looked at her as if she were asked what one plus one is by a twenty year old professor of physics.
"Let's just put it this way, Flandre is provoked easily, and when she is provoked, she –""I Kyuu things!" Flandre cut in, having inhaled the food nearby her. "What do you mean by Kyuu?" Kogasa asked, tilting her head slightly as if that would clarify. "I just hold out my hand, and I get the 'eye' of something, and when I get mad I squeeze it and it goes 'Kyuu'!" Flandre chirped as she demonstrated, destroying the tea cup Meiling was holding, leaving behind no traces of it.
Kogasa choked slightly on the sandwich she was taking a bite out of, 'How can she do that?' She wondered silently as she said "Oh, ok. But even then, it just sounds like she can control it really easily, so what's the big deal?" Kogasa asked as she resumed eating her sandwich, Meiling being confused as to why she was no longer drinking anything.
"Oh, it is easily controlled; it's just that Remi gets really jealous of Flandre for being stronger than her, and she's also worried that Flan will get too emotional and cause another valley or something along those lines to be formed again, and we really don't want the shrine maiden on our heels." Patchouli said quickly, particularly the first part.
"That makes sense," Kogasa said as she began her own course of tea, "But can you guys really not do anything about her?" she jabbed a finger at Koakuma, who somehow managed to silently bind Kyouko and was beginning to drag her away. "I wanna try!" Flandre said as she almost zoomed over to Koakuma but was stopped by a chest covered in dark blue cloth, "These are warm," Flandre said as she latched onto Sakuya, before suddenly reappearing next to Meiling. "Koa, bring her back here!" Patchouli called out, Koakuma dragged Kyouko back, who was somehow unable to make a sound, Koa brought her to Patchouli with a look in her eyes that said 'PWEAAAASSSEEE', but Patchouli, already far used to this said "Drop her," and so Koakuma did, leaving the bound Yamabiko at Patchouli's feet, sulking behind Meiling, who was watching the proceedings with a side of Stuff brand Tea.
"Hey, China," Flandre asked Meiling as she climbed back onto her head, "Yes Flan Flan?" Meiling said as she looked up at the small vampire who was climbing down to sit on her lap, "Wake me up when big sis wants to play..." and so, the most fearsome person of the Scarlet Devil Manor knocked out.
Several hours later, when both sisters had awoken, and Kyouko and Kogasa recovered, the four of them went out towards the Misty Lake to have their duel or as Flandre called it 'The First time when my toys won't break!', Kogasa had a look of interest to see how well Flandre uses danmaku, Kyouko looked as if she'd rather be with Koakuma, and Remilia had put on a rather impressive poker face considering how she reacted the first time she saw Flandre, and Flandre was humming merrily to herself as she turned to face the others.
"Time to Play, Just like you promised Big Sis!" Flandre said as she pulled out a spellcard, "[Taboo] Cranberry Trap!" Flandre declared creating several familiars that attempted to close the trio in, Remilia pretended to yawn as she weaved in and out of the pink and blue bullets, but she was almost caught in the middle of several intersecting bullets, grazing her way out as Kogasa and Kyouko weaved inside and out of the attacks.
"Aw, Big Sis, if you get hit by that then you won't be much fun at all..." Flandre said, disappointed that her first attack almost felled her sister.
The spellcard soon timed out, and Flandre flew around quickly and fire fast but simple bullet patterns at the trio, Kyouko grazing (For more points!).
"Wow, you look like Marisa when you do that!" Flandre said happily as she saw Kyouko graze, "But she was surprised when I did this, I wonder if you'll be too? [Taboo]Laevateinn!" In Flandre's hands formed an awkward deep black wand, curved and looking as if it was composed of two stereotypical devil's tails stuck together, soon after forming, it glowed a bright red, and seemed to turn into a giant flaming sword as she swung it wildly, leaving a trail of swerving red bullets behind as it traveled quickly, Remilia quickly flew behind Flandre and conjured up several familiars that continued to attack Flandre as she flew away, Kyouko dodged the beam, and shouted at the swerving bullets to clear a path for herself, Kogasa merely grazed it all.
Remilia's familiars quickly broke Flandre's focus on the spell, and she immediately took out another spellcard. "Now there'll be enough of us so we can all play together! [Taboo] Four of a Kind!" three clones of Flandre appeared, but they weren't exact clones, one somehow was wearing a tweed jacket and a monocle, and was holding a cup of tea (Flandre: Thank you Sakuya!), another wearing what looked to be an overly large fur coat and was sporting a pair of dark sunglasses, and the last, which was most likely influenced by Koakuma, was holding a whip and was wearing black clothes and a sadistic smile.
The battle ceased for a bit as Remilia gawked at her little sisters clones, "Flan, where did you get all of this?" "I found it all," Flandre said as she looked back and forth between her clothes, trying to see what Remilia was shocked by. "Ok then, remind me to check up on Koakuma, she's proving to be a negative influence," and the battle resumed with gusto, the four Flandres attacking with very different fighting styles, the original with bullets everywhere (Sakuya taught me that!), the monocle wearing one with orderly patterns (It will be much easier for the others to hit if the enemy is avoiding my attacks), Sunglasses with many, many slow bullets (Too much work, it'll get them eventually), and Whip by attempting to corner them all (We'll just gather them up and have some fun~!).
Kyouko retaliated by attempting to shoot down Sunglasses, Kogasa by attacking Whip, Remilia enjoyed a graze dance with Monocle as the two seemingly casually avoided each other's attacks, everyone still had to avoid the actual Flandre's attacks, which were spread out all over the battlefield . Eventually, the spellcard timed out, and the various Flandres joined together into one, their individual outfits somehow disappearing in the process.
"I guess it's just because there's a lot of you guys that everyone had to stay inside, I'll make you do the same![Taboo] Kagome, Kagome!" Flandre yelled as she fired off a set pattern of bullets that ceased moving after a certain distance, the overall structure resembling a cage. The trio had no difficulty getting used to their new location, although they were a bit pressed for space. Flandre soon shot off a large yellow orb that caused other bullets to move as it passed.
"Wah!""Get off!""Will you twits get out of the way?!" the various responses resounding throughout the lake as the three attempted to move out of the way of the incoming orb, Kogasa ended up traveling with Remilia to the right, Kyouko to the left as they grazed the orb. The three were quickly separated again as Flandre began to fly about, shooting three orbs at a time as she went. "My Hijiri, what did I do to deserve this?" Kyouko asked herself as she narrowly grazed her way through what seemed to be a collapsing flurry of colours, the detail Flandre had put in arranging these bullets was frightening, it seemed to Kyouko that she could have looked at a small group of children playing just beyond the bars, all she had to do was slip past to get to them and..."Kyouko, snap out of it!" Kyouko heard Kogasa yell as she regained her senses and looked around her, she was just about to fly right into a stream of bullets.
"Aw, my lil Flan's growing up," Remilia said as she smirked at Kyouko, "I'd say she has the hypnotizing ability of vampires quite well, wouldn't you agree?" Kyouko was confused; she looked back at where the kids were, to see...nothing, nothing at all...Angered, Kyouko began to attack Flandre wildly, sending many bullets outwards to protect her while also sending a concentrated stream of smaller bullets directly at the small vampire, who didn't even seem to be paying attention, and had an odd, detached smile on her face.
"Someone finally saw them," she said, tears nearly breaking in her eyes, she zoomed towards Kyouko with ridiculous speed, avoiding the bullets as she went, and tackled her in a tight hug that was liable to crush the Yamabiko. Kyouko herself was taken by surprise and had a mixture of anger and surprise on her face, the two battling to decide who would be dominant on the young yamabiko's face.
"I'm done big sis," Flandre said, releasing Kyouko just enough so that she was able to breath, "I don't want to play danmaku anymore,"
"Here we are," Alice said as she landed daintily before Eientei, the large building easily found by one who knew where it was, Sanae didn't so much land with elegance and grace like Alice, but rather in the manner of a predatory bird that narrowly missed its prey. "Ok, yes, now can we begin interrogations?!" Sanae asked wildly, having been annoyed by the long trip and various twists and turns needed to find Eientei.
Sanae began to make a mad dash towards Eientei, but was quickly stopped by Shanghai, who pointed down towards a well concealed trap. "You forget that Tewi, as well as the people we're looking for, lives here," Alice said as she used Hourai to swat away a small arrow headed for Sanae's leg. "SO I suggest you walk slowly and keep an eye out for one of Gensokyo's main pranksters."
It took a good 20 minutes to travel the necessary 10 feet to Eientei's main doors, and in that time, Alice deactivated, defended against, and flat out nulled the magic that is Tewi. Sanae activated more than her fair share of traps, and was miraculously saved by Alice almost every time. So maybe that one time when a boxing glove shot forward, hitting her in the face and causing her to crash into a nearby tree, which then proceeded to throw her deep into the brush didn't count. Sanae, in her opinion, was still keeping herself calm, the twitching, pacing, and wringing her hands was usual, the small eye tic was a new thing though, she'd have to ask the Nurse about that.
"Hey, Sanae, are you sure you're ok?" Alice asked tentatively, the Moriya Shrine Maiden certainly didn't look too good, but being thrown into several traps in quick succession does that to a person. "Yes, yes, I'm fine" Sanae dismissed Alice casually as she motioned to open the front door to Eientei, before being stopped Shanghai, who had a "Will you ever learn?" look on her face. "Tewi's laid as many traps as she pleases by the entrance, do you really think she'll let the front door untouched?" Alice asked, annoyed at Sanae's short attention span. Hourai quickly rose up and shot a small laser at what looked to be a punching glove heading right for Sanae's stomach.
"Well, I know just how to solve it, Marisa taught me!" Sanae said with enthusiasm as she raised her gohei and pointed it at the door, shooting a large red star at the entrance, however, this was not meant to be as a cluster of intermixing bullets went flying towards the star, the front being sacrificed to the star as the rest pressed forward. Sanae leaped out of the way by pure instinct, and Alice simply grazed past the bullets.
"Now girls, did you really think I'd let people in as easily as last time?" a childish voice called out. Stepping out from the shadows of the nearby trees, was one of the biggest pranksters of Gensokyo, rivalling the infamous Gap Hag of Mayohiga in terms of sheer rage sent her way by her many...fans. Tewi Inaba twirled the small carrot necklace on top of her light pink dress idly as she looked up at the two. "Beat me once, shame on me, try to get past me after that, how much of a twit are you?" Tewi asked, looking at her necklace with a bored expression on her face.
"Tewi, I beat you once, I'd be glad to do it again," Alice said as Shanghai brought up a lance, Hourai a shield. "Cute, but I can tell your partner's not nearly as experienced as the other, you sure you can handle it?" Tewi taunted with a smirk on her face. "Just get the hell out of the way, damned Loli!" Sanae yelled as she shot forth many pink amulets at the small rabbit youkai, who bounced merrily away from them, shooting bullets at the pair as she went.
"You just had to antagonize her," Alice muttered under her breath as she pulled out a few spellcards and summoned several more of her dolls, "This is going to take a while."
It was a few minutes after Flandre had conceded the match against Remilia, Kyouko, and Kogasa, but still nobody had any idea as to why she did so, the small vampire still clung tightly to Kyouko, letting the small Yamabiko alone only when Meiling peeled her off and placed her over her shoulders. Flandre then began to recite the details of the battle from her perspective, "And then, when I used Four of a Kind, Big Sis got this weird, this weird look on her face," Flandre said excitedly. "That's nice Flan Flan," Meiling said as she walked calmly alongside the trio of Flandre's opponents as they traveled by foot back to the mansion, the sky filled with bright lights as the fairies fought each other, invigorated by the recently ended fight.
"Hey, Flandre," Kogasa said as she floated up to Flandre's level, which was a large amount considering who she was sitting on, "Why does your sister barely let you out? You seem fine, just a bit...reckless," the relaxed atmosphere evaporated rather quickly, and Remilia appeared right in front of Kogasa, and placed a hand filled with pressure on Kogasa's shoulder, stopping her immediately and nearly crushing the Karakasa's shoulder, "Flan can do much more than you saw her do in that excuse of a battle, many things that I am ashamed to have seen. Drop the subject, and do not bring it up again," Remilia said, scarlet eyes glowing with a light that gave Kogasa no choice but to obey.
"Hey, what are you doing Big Sis?" Flandre asked innocently as she turned around just in time to see Remilia release Kogasa while making it seem like she was simply calmly talking to Kogasa the whole time. "Nothing Flan, don't worry about it," Remilia said in a calming voice. "Ok Big Sis!" Flandre said happily as the small group was halfway through their route towards the Mansion.
"Hey, Flandre was it? Why did you stop attacking and go to give me a death hug?" Kyouko asked as she nearly jogged to keep up with the very tall Meiling. Flandre literally bended over backwards to look at Kyouko, who was behind Meiling even though she was jogging to keep up with the gatekeeper's walking, looked happily at Kyouko and said, " Easy, you saw what I saw in the last spellcard that I used, you saw them too, right? I saw you try to get to them." Flandre finished the sentence with a tinge of sadness of her face, but she quickly adopted a happy expression again and said, "I made that spellcard to see who I could be friends with," Flandre said, "So far, no one's seen it except for the people who live with Big Sis and you,". Kyouko looked confused for a split second, but upon seeing the saddened look on Flandre's face, quickly put on a smile; Flandre mirrored her.
"We're almost there!" Meiling called out cheerfully as Flandre climbed onto her hat, crystal wings clinking as she did so. "Yay! I'm hungry; do you think Sakuya has food ready?" Flandre asked excitedly, sitting cross legged on Meiling's head. Kogasa soon caught up to Kyouko, who was somehow managing to keep up with Meiling's fast pace. "Hey Kyouko, where do you think we'll go after this?" Kogasa asked, umbrella behind her as she floated along calmly.
"Hm? I don't know, if anything, let's try to get back to the Human Village, I need to check in with Byakuren, so she doesn't get worried," Kyouko said, deciding to follow after Kyouko's example and fly instead of taking a lesson in futility by attempting to follow Meiling on foot, Remilia seemed to be watching them from afar, as if the whole affair were a play taking place. "Can I go?" Flandre asked innocently.
"Umm..." Kogasa started, but Kyouko cut her off with an "Of course! "Kogasa quickly pulled the surprisingly approving Kyouko to the side as she glanced nervously at Remilia, who was watching Flandre dance around on Meiling's head with a look of annoyance on her face. "What are you saying?!" Kogasa hissed as they quickly went behind a tree, "Do you realize what you're offering here?! I mean, just take a look at Remilia!" Kogasa said frantically as she waved her arm frantically in the direction of the loli vampire, who was looking none too pleased at the most recent development, and decided to assert this by appearing right in front of the pair.
"What exactly are you two offering to Flan?" Remilia said in a voice that betrayed the sheer anger that was quite clearly underneath based on the eerily Yuuka-like smile on her face. "Well, I thought it would be fine..." Kyouko started nervously, but upon seeing Remilia's face, she clamped her hands over her mouth and looked nervously at Kogasa for help. Luckily, help arrived in the form of a very excited Flandre, who like Remilia, seemingly materialized next to the trio, "What are we all talking about?" Flandre chirped, a ridiculously large grin plastered on her face as she practically bounced off of everyone.
"I was just telling these two how I don't think you're not ready to go out and about by yourself yet," Remilia said without displaying the slightest bit of emotion. "But I was out right now and didn't get in any trouble!" Flandre cried as she looked around in disbelief. "Yes, but all of the Mansion was out with us, if you got too out of control Patchy would have closed you in while Meiling would help myself and Sakuya subdue you and get you back under control, without all of us, the chance of controlling you is very slim, even for these two, who I must admit are somewhat decent at danmaku," Remilia concluded, a poker face having decorated her. "Mistress, if I may intervene," Meiling cut in, her height easily dwarfing them all even as she knelt down, "Flan Flan, I mean, Flandre has been showing a larger degree of control ever since the incident with the red white and Marisa," the way she said the name made it sound as if she were infected with a disease the likes of Yamame could only dream of.
'Where's my support when I need it?' Remilia thought to herself as Sakuya, having sensed a delay conveniently decided to appear. "Ah, Sakuya! Would you explain to Flan and the rest why it would be a bad idea for Flan to go with these two wandering vagabonds?" Remilia said loudly as if she were making an attempt to scare the others away.
"..." Sakuya remained silent as her eyes looked around, to Meiling who had her hands on Flandre's shoulders, Flandre who looked like a puppy begging for food, and Kyouko and Kogasa who looked completely and utterly confused. "You've got to be kidding me..." Remilia grumbled as she glanced at the others, "We'll discuss this later, the sun's nearly risen, and I need my charisma sleep," she then proceeded to nearly stomp away. The others decided to follow, and soon the Mansion gates were visible, as well as Patchouli who was radiating waves of killing intent, the reason was clear, Koakuma had managed to trip her and was now attached to her.
"Ah~ Master, you're so soft and squishy," she said contentedly as Patchouli was seen inscribing a small rune into the ground with her finger. Even the angry Remilia couldn't help but watch as Koakuma was shortly blasted away with a large and continuous blast of wind. "If you wish to retain usage of your limbs you will say nothing," she hissed at everyone who was clearly suppressing laughter. Except for Sakuya of course, but then again, the ability to stop time whenever she pleased helped with situations like that.
"We'll discuss this tomorrow and no sooner, good day to you all," Remilia said with a detached air as she flew up onto the mansion balcony and disappeared into the mansion.
"Even if I can't go," Flandre started, breaking the silence, "I wish you can come to play again."
"What'd you have to do that for?" Tewi complained as she lay on the ground, smoking, several lines of burnt out dolls lay on the floor behind her, and a Doll with red hair and a wheelbarrow began scooping them up.
"Great, she's down, now let's go!" Sanae said as she rushed into the main hall of Eientei. "I'm not entirely sure myself" Alice sighed as she landed daintily near the entrance, Shanghai flying forwards to defend Sanae from more traps.
Sorry for the long wait and horrible chapter, but at least I finished it! I'm starting to regret taking AP classes, but hey, lesse how good I'll do. Please review and try at life!
