The past three days have been quite the adventure. Recently, Kidan, Cealy and Sora challenged the Pewter City Gym Leader named Brock, who knew Kidan's father, in a two-on-two Pokemon Battle. Though the battle was tough, all three of them earned themselves the Boulder Badge. Given instructions on where to head to next, they journeyed their way through Route 3 and to Mt. Moon. However, in Mt. Moon, the group was once again faced against by Team Rocket and their commanding officers, Chelse and Darek, who attended on capturing the Clefairy and their Moon Stone for their leader. Though, in the end, Team Rocket's plans were foiled and retreated, leaving the Clefairy and Moon Stone behind. With thanks for saving them and their stones, the Clefairy and their evolutions, the Celfable, gave them each a Moon Stone and also helped lead them out of Mt. Moon.

As for yesterday, just a little more than half way through Route 4, the group decided to take a break by fishing with Cealy's custom-made fishing rods. The group had a great time since they were able to catch a couple Pokemon. The first Pokemon to appear was the Fish-like Pokemon, Magikarp, said to be the worst and pathetic Pokemon in the world. Cealy, not thinking that its impossible to prove people wrong, caught Magikarp and nicknamed him Magic, making it her fourth Pokemon in her team. The last Pokemon they encountered was the Tadpole-like Pokemon, Poliwag, who was pulled out from Kidan's fishing rod. Determined to catch Poliwag, Kidan used Slice in the battle, hopefully to regain his confidence back from the gym battle against Brock. As it turned out, Poliwag was beaten and was caught by Kidan, who now has three Pokemon in his team. Thanking Poliwag for helping Slice gain his confidence once again, Poliwag decided to travel with Kidan and the others. Kidan suggested to give Poliwag a nickname, in which they all agreed on calling Poliwag, Swirl.

Now, after a good night's rest and preperations, Kidan, Cealy and Sora all make their way to Cerulean City, where they will have to challenge the second gym leader for their next badge. Though, as none of them know it, Cerulean City will have quite a suprise in store for them all, especially Kidan and Cealy.

"Wow!" Kidan said with awe. "We're finally here... Cerulean City."

Kidan looked over the edge of a hill as he saw the big city. It was a bit bigger than Viridian City itself, but didn't have the big buildings like Viridian did. Though, there were some big buildings that seemed to attract alot of tourist or travellers like Kidan and the others. Cealy and Sora walk up beside him looking at the city with awe as well.

"Man, would you like at that!" Sora stated. "It's so big, probably bigger than Virdian itself!"

"I know right?" Kidan replied excitedly.

Kidan always heard of the many things that happened in Cerulean City when he was young and after the incident a few years back. Now here he was, ready to see what Cerulean City had to offer. Though, that would have to wait til' he get's his next gym badge. Even though he wanted to look around the city, the gym was the only thing that was on his mind right now.

"This is just amazing,." Kidan continued to be in awe. He then turned around to see Cealy walk up to them. "Isn't it awesome, Cealy?"

"H-Huh? Oh, yeah..." Cealy said with less enthusiasm. She seemed to be in deep thought, not really paying attention to what he was saying.

"Is everything okay, Cealy?" Kidan asked her curiously.

"Wha?!" Cealy said snapping out of her own thoughts. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Couldn't be better!"

"Well okay, if you say so," Kidan replied to her not too convinced. 'Odd. She usually would be inspired at views like this one.' He thought. 'Wonder what's on her mind?'

"S-so, where's the next gym located at?" Cealy asked trying to change the awkward silence in the atmosphere.

"Hmm, let's see," Sora said pulling out his PokeGear device. "... It seems that the gym is located on the east side of the main road. Which would be this road that we're on right now."

"Alright then, let's get going!" Kidan said cheerfully until Sora grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him back. "What?"

"Sorry Kidan, but I can't battle just yet. I still need to get some supplies for my Pokemon and myself," Sora explained to him.

"And I have to meet an old friend here anyway," Cealy said to him.

"WHA-?!" Kidan exclaimed in disbelief. 'So much for getting the gym badge already!' he thought to himself very annoyed.

Out of everything that he could think of, both Cealy and Sora had to do something else before going to the gym and face the gym leader. He couldn't think why they didn't say anything to him before they arrived.

He groans. "Geez, why couldn't you just told me this all earlier?"

"... Didn't cross our mind," Cealy and Sora said at the same time chuckling in embarrassment.

Kidan slaps his forehead and sighs. "... Well, since we have to wait, I might as well take a look around, see if I can find something to do."

They all then walked down the dirt road to the center of Cerulean City. As they continued to walk, they came across a crossroad. One that lead to the Cerulean City Gym, another leading to a place called Cerulean Cape, and the last leading into the city itself filled with stores, restaraunts and so forth.

"Alright then. How about when we're all done, we'll meet at the Cerulean Plaza?" Sora suggested.

"Good idea," Cealy agreed.

"That's fine by me," Kidan said.

"Okay then, see you guys later," Sora said waving as he went down the road into the city.

"Bye Sora!" Kidan and Cealy waved.

After Sora was out of sight, Cealy turned to Kidan. "Alright, it;s time that I get going too. I'll see you later Kidan."

"Sure." He said simply. They both waved as she went down to the road that lead to Cerulean Cape as Kidan walked down the road that lead to the Cerulean City gym.

"This is driving me nuts!"

Kidan was still walking down the road that was leading towards the gym. It had already been about ten minutes and he was already bored to death. He still couldn't belive that his friends had already planned on doing something else before going to the gym. He wasn't angry at them, not at all. He was only a bit annoyed that they didn't discuss it with him before they got here.

"Why didn't Cealy or Sora say that they needed to do stuff when we were on our way here?" He groans in annoyance. Knowing that it wasn't going to make him feel any better, he looks towards the road and sighs. "Well, I guess I can't do anything about it, it seems. Might as well go take a look at the gym myself, see who the gym leader is and what to prepare for."

He straightened his black vest correctly and continued to walk down to the gym with his hands in his pockets. Take a deep breath and sighing, he looks up towards the sky watching the clouds float by as he began to slightly ponder.

"Wonder what Cealy and Sora are doing exactly?" He asked himself thinking.

"Hmm..." Sora pondered holding a medicine bottle that was for Pokemon standing in one of the aisles. "... I don't know. What do you two think?"

"Squirtle squirt!" Squirtle said cheerfully.

"Eev weev Eevee!" Eevee agreed.

He laughs. "I guess I'll take that as a 'yes'."

Sora, who was accompanied by his faithful Pokemon, Squirtle and Eevee, was busy looking around the department in the Cerulean Mall inside the Poke Mart, trying to find some medicine and other stuff to help his Pokemon and for himself, including Kidan and Cealy.

He places a Pokemon medicine bottle in his basket as he turns and walks down to another aisle with Squirtle and Eevee continuing to browse around the department store's shelves and aisles.

"Okay, now for some Antidotes and Paralyz Heals," he said to them with Squirtle and Eevee, who both nodded and smiled to his words.

Cealy was walking up a large hill as she started to look around for something, or someone in paticular. She kept glancing left to right continuing to look for whoever she was looking for.

"Oh... where is she?" Cealy said to herself. "She told me to meet her here."

Cealy began to get a bit irritated from waiting. Recently, back in Pewter City in the Pokemon Center before she, Kidan and Sora battled Brock, she called an old family friend of hers who she knew when she was younger, sorta like a sister to her to say. When she told her, her best and closest friend was thrilled and planned a day to catch up with her. Deciding to meet in three days due to all the drama that had happened, they concluded that they would meet at Cerulean Cape at two o' clock. Already, it was already two o' twenty, and Cealy was getting upset and annoyed waiting for too long. After what seemed like forever, she was about to turn back when she felt a hand touch her shoulder, startling her as she quickly whipped around to see who had touched her from behind.

"Nice to see ya' cous'," The young woman with red feiry hair and green emerald eyes replied to her cheerfully.

She looked about the same age as Cealy, wearing blue jean shorts, a yellow tank top with a red shoulder strap and a red bag with her red hair tied into a ponytail. She had emerald eyes and a bright smile on her face.

"Misty!" Cealy squealed happily as they both gave each other a big, long time reunion hug.

"Well, I guess I should look around the gym and meet the leader at least," Kidan said to himself.

Looking beyond him, he had stopped walking and just stared at the Cerulean City Gym that had a big vanilla colored Seal-like Pokemon, known as Dewgong, on the billboard for advertisement. Taking a small breath, he walks into the gym and sees that most of the lights in the gym were off.

"Thats strange. Why are all the lights turned off?" He asked himself curiously. "If it was suppose to be closed, then why didn't the leader have the 'close' sign out?"

As he continued to ponder and still finding it strange that the gym's lights were mostly off, he heard cheering coming from, what was possibly, the battle arena. Kidan pulls out Slice's Pokeballand releases him for some company, also for caution if something was going on.

"Come on Slice! I heard some noise coming from the gym's arena!" Kidan said enthusiastically.

Nodding, Slice jogs behind him towards the arena, alreayed as to what was going on.

Kidan and Slice enter the arena room where a large crowd of people were sitting watching what seemed to be a type of 'water' show, considering the large glass pool in the center of the room. What caught most of his attention was when the crowd roared and saw three beautiful girls walking up to the diving board. One had long blue hair, another had short pink hair and the last one had long blonde hair, who appeared to be the oldest than the other two. The three girls waved to the cheering crowd and dived off the diving board, landing into the water like water athlete experts.

"Woah," Kidan said quietly in awe.

'Yeah,' Slice replied awe struck.

The three girls performed beautifully. They swam around accordingly and danced like they were in ballet. Slice was so amazed at their performence, he was actually lost in words. Kidan was still in awe, not able to take his eyes off their performence. However, even though he just stared at them during their performence, he was really pondering to himself, trying to figure out if one of them is the gym leader that runs the gym.

"It's been too long cous'. How you been?" Misty asked her.

They had both taken a seat on the edge of the cliff called Cerulean Cape, dangling their legs off the cliff with a view of the ocean in front of them. They were mostly alone from the city folks, mostly because the spot they were in was mostly for scenery and quietness.

"Doing pretty well, actually. I've finally decided to travel and challenge the Pokemon League with my new Pokemon," Cealy cheerfully said showing her cousin her Boulder Badge in her badge case and her own PokeDex Professor Oak gave her about a week ago in Pallet Town.

"That's wonderful Cealy! I'm happy that your travelling finally. It's been, what, three years since..." Misty paused to rethinking her words carefully. "... You know."

"Yeah, it has. Though I don't regret it at the least," Cealy assured her.

"Really? How come?" She asked her curiously. She was actually quite curious and somewhat concern to why her cousin was okay with waiting this long, considering she could have left three years ago on her own. The only thing she could think was why would she take something like this so easily?

"Well... do you remember what happened that day?" Cealy asked her, trying not to rethink the fatal accident. Just remebering the incident always gave her troubled memories and thoughts.

"Yeah, I do. I was there when it happened," Misty said, leaving out the 'remember' part from her due to having some flashbacks from coming back of her own. She also knew that Cealy would have flashbacks herself so she wanted to keep that out of the way.

"You were playing with me and another kid while we were heading towards Oak's Lab before it all happened. Who was that by the way?" Misty asked her curiously trying to think of the little boy she played with.

"Oh, you don't remember Kidan? He's my neighbor in Pallet Town, the one I met when I was four years old," Cealy explained to her.

"Oh, that Kidan! How is he doing anyway?" She asked her. She remembered that Kidan was the one who tried to protect her and Cealy from the accident on that day, who had the most major injuries afterwards. But she also remembered meeting him sometimes since Cealy and Kidan would play with each other pretty much everyday. She could distinctively remember visiting him a couple times when he was in a coma, already feeling the sadness build up in her whenever she saw him in that state.

"He's doing alot better now. In fact, he's here right now in Cerulean," Cealy happily said. To this day, she was still relieved and grateful that Kidan was able to travel finally, especially with her to say.

"Is he really? Wow, I'll have to say hi to him when I get the chance." Misty said a tad astonished but happily. It was nice to hear that he was doing better than back when he was competely forced to stay in his own home.

"Yeah, he was the reason why I never left in the first place. When we were both eight years old, we both promised to travel around together when he was able to leave," Cealy told her, but wasn't able to hold back a faint blush.

"And did you guys keep your promise?" Misty asked her with interest.

Thinking it over and still holding a blush on her cheeks, she smiled gently to her cousin. "At first we didn't. He was already gone when he got his Pokemon. So basically I had to chase him down, which led me to Route 22. From there, we both started to travel together."

"Is that why you stayed at home for that long and never left for your journey?" Misty asked her suspiciously.

"Yeah... why?" Cealy asked her curiously.

Misty then smirked. "Well, considering he was your first friend since childhood... and the only boy you known and played with for so long..."

"What are you getting at here, cous'?" Cealy asked her cousin, getting suspicious as she narrowed her eyes at her.

Cealy could distinctively remember, throughout her years, her cousin Misty would always get into her little mischiefs from time to time. Sometimes it was when Cealy would look at other boys and Misty would pick on her saying that she liked them. Now that the years have passed, they both got out of their little crushes from their youth... well, one of them anyway.

"What else can I say but..." She started to say and smiled brightly. "... You like him."

Cealy then blushed more. "W-What?! No way! I do not!"

Misty laughed at her playfully and grinned. "Yes you do! It's written all over your face!" Misty said pointing her finger at her red blushed cheeks.

Cealy blushed crimson red. "I do not!"

"Cealy..." Misty said sternly but with a gently smile. "Your practically my twin sister. I can tell your lying to me right now. And from the years I known you, this is perhaps, by far, the most obvious predicament your in right now. So you might as well spill it cous', otherwise, I'll have to take it into my own hands."

Cealy gave her an irritated look. She didn't want to tell her anything. But, after a few moments, she sighed heavily, knowing that she was beaten by her own cousin. She took a deep breath and looked down with a frown.

"... Is it that obvious?"

"Sadly enough... yes," Misty said with a gentle smile but not without a small giggle.

Cealy sighs but not without a red blush still on her cheeks. "Okay, yes, I do like him... alot."

For the longest time, deep down, Misty knew that Cealy always liked someone. However, when she would ask who Cealy liked, she would mostly either change the subject or deny any feelings for anyone. But, not very suprising, she didn't realize that it was her childhood friend that she grew up with as neighbors.

Misty then smiles more before placing a hand on Cealy shoulder. "Come on, let's head back to the gym and discuss this more from there."

Cealy sighed but nodded. Grabbing her bag. she and Misty walked back to the Cerulean City Gym continuing ther small talk still.

Kidan and Slice just finished watching the performence from who everyone was calling them 'The Waterflower Sisters" as they walked down the stairs of the gym.

"Man, do you think they're the gym leaders Slice? Cause I'm completely lost right now, considering what I just saw," Kidan said confused not knowing what to really think of the three sisters.

'I couldn't tell you Kidan. Though I can only think that at least one of them is the Cerulean City Gym Leader,' He replied to him, seeing that the three sisters must own the gym, so one of them had to be the gym leader. What other explanation was there?

As Kidan continued to ponder, he suddenly realized that they both entered a aquarium that was filled with dozens of fishes in different kinds. He and Slice walked up to the glass and looked at all the fish on the one side, trying to see what kind of fish they each were. Draumatized by the colorful fish on the other side, he suddenly heard giggling coming down the hall. Turning his head, he saw the three 'Waterflower Sisters' walking towards him, chatting about what seemed to be their performence a bit ago.

"Speaking of which..." Kidan pointed out as he and Slice start to walk up to them.

The three Mayflowers started to giggle again unaware that Kidan and Slice walked up to them blocking their path.

"Excuse me?" Kidan asked them. "I was wondering if-"

"Sorry, but if you want an interview, you have to, like, call up our manager," Lily replied to him.

"What? No, that's not what I was gonna-" Kidan started to say.

"We don't do autographs,"

Lily interupted him.

"B-But I don't want one!" Kidan replied, getting a bit annoyed but flustered. "I really just wanted to know that this is the Cerulean Gym."

"It sure is," Violet replied to him.

"Well that's good to know." Kidan replied relieved that he was at the right place. 'For a minute I thought I was at a ballet cinema,

' he thought to himself.

Returning back to reality, he looked back to the sisters. "I came here looking for the Cerulean Gym Leader."

"Your looking at them," Daisy told him as a matter-of-speaking.

"Wait, what?" Kidan asked a bit confused. Not really undertanading what they meant by "them", he thought it over for a second or so.

That's when it hit him. His eyes grew a bit wide. "S-So wait, you three are the-?"

"Like, the three of us are the Cerulean Gym Leaders," Daisy stated interupting his question.

"We're the Sensational Sisters," Lily continued.

"We're world famous," Violet finished.

'If you were, then how come I haven't heard of you?' He thought to himself. Kidan knew that it was best to say it in his head rather than speaking it out loud to them, especially to girls. "So what's with all the ballet swimming in the gym pool?"

"It's, like, our hobby and fans love to watch us perform," Lily explained to him.

"We pool our talents to make a complete 'splash'," Violet joked.

The three Sensational Sisters laughed making both Kidan and Slice sweatdrop and kinda spooked, not really sure how to handle their little joke.

'This is very awkard Kidan,' Slice whispered to him.

"Your telling me bud," Kidan replied back.

"What was that?" Daisy asked them curiously.

"O-Oh, uh, nothing!" Kidan waved his hands in defence and chuckled in embarrassment. Saying anything to the three sisters would probably be even more horrifying. It was best not to go any further than he already had.

Back in the city, Sora, Squirtle and Eevee were walking towards the Cerulean Plaza with Spearow patched onto Sora's shoulder who he let out when they left the building.

Sora found that Spearow didn't like too many crowded places, especially inside a mall filled with people left to right. Rather, Spearow liked the space around him, including the quiet time he enjoys alot when he's by himself.

Sora and his team reached the plaza and started to look around the area for any sign for Kidan or Cealy. Sadly, both of them were nowhere to be found.

"Hmm... seems like Kidan and Cealy aren't here yet guys." he replied observing the plaza around him. His Pokemon began to look around as well, not able to find Kidan or Cealy anywhere.

Sora sighed and came up with a new idea. "Well, since Kidan nor Cealy are around, you guys up to check the Cerulean Gym for a bit?" He asked his Pokemon with a smile.

Squirtle and Eevee yelped in their language as Spearow cawed out loud. Sora saw and heard this as a 'yes' in their language.

"Alright then. Off to the Cerulean Gym!" Sora announced to them with a clutched fist in the air.

"Well, here we are!" Misty exclaimed to her cousin as they both stood next to the pathway that lead to the gym.

"Wait a minute... YOU own the Cerulean Gym?!" Cealy asked her cousin in disbelief.

"Yep! Besides, I thought I told ya' over the phone a couple days ago. Remember, me, my sisters and parents bought the gym many years ago when I was just a baby," Misty replied trying to remind her forgetful cousin.

Misty very well knew that Cealy could forget things like this once in a very long while. It never was a problem for her, since Cealy was very smart and mostly right all the time. But even still, she knew Cealy much more than she knew.

"Hm... I guess I forgot," Cealy chuckled in embarrassment rubbing the back of her neck. She couldn't believe that she forgot something that important.

"Well come on, my sisters are inside. They'll be pretty much done with their underwater ballet show. And I can bet that they'll love to see you again," Misty told her grabbing Cealy's hand.

"Uh Misty, wai-WOAH!" Cealy exclaimed as Misty dragged her by the hand.

They both jogged towards the gym as Misty kept hold of Cealy's hand as she dragged her inside of her home eager to have Cealy see her sisters.

"So am I to challenge all of you then?" Kidan asked the Sensational Sisters.

He was a bit confused as to how the battling would work, considering there were three gym leaders in a gym. From what he could tell, he would assume that he would have to face all three gym leaders to gain his next badge. But he couldn't figure out how he would be able to do that.

'If that's how it's gonna be, I'm all set to battle!' Slice announced already pumped.

"Well..." Lily said.

"Umm..." Violet continued.

"We don't feel like battling anymore," Daisy finished.

"Wait what?! What do you mean you 'don't feel like battling?!'" Kidan exclaimed with a sweatdrop on his head, as well as Slice. How could they, the Cerulean gym leaders, not be ready for a gym battle?

"We just got beaten three times in a row by kids from this nowhere place called Pallet Town," Lily explained to him.

"Umm... first off, I take that last comment offensive. Second off, I'm from Pallet Town, so why would that make a difference?" Kidan asked them getting annoyed as it is.

If he were facing an 'actual' gym leader he thought, he would be in a battle right now trying to gain his next badge. Not be trying to talk a gym leader into battling or getting a rude comment about his own home Pallet Town. Though, he wouldn't admit that to the three girls.

"Like we said, we got beaten, like, three times in a row. We gotten beaten over and over, that my eyes were spinning from all the losses," Violet explained.

"From all the losses we took, we like, had to rush all our injured Pokemon to the Pokemon Center," Daisy continued.

"This is the only Pokemon that we have left," Lily finished expanding a Pokeball in her hand.

Dropping the Pokeball to the floor, the Pokeballs opens up and produces a Goldfish-like Pokemon. It was pretty small size Pokemon with a white body, cursive fins and tail with orange patterns on it's tail and eyelids. It had a small horn that appeared to look harmless, but could do some damage to an opponent if it was battling. That Pokemon was known as Goldeen.

"Goldeen! Goldeen deen!" the Goldeen replied flailing around on the moisterized ground.

"You mean... all you three girls have left is a Goldeen?" Kidan asked in disbelief. For some odd reason, he felt some guilt for them, even though they seemed like a pain in the neck right now.

Lily aims the Pokeball at Goldeen and returns it back into it's home for rest.

"If Goldeen evolved into a Seaking, we would like, use it. But all it can do is use it's Horn Attack," Violet replied sadly but embarrassed at the same time.

"So no Water Gun attack? No Flail attack? Nothing?" Kidan asked them raising his eyebrow.

"No. Just Horn Attack really," Lily replied sadly.

'For once, I actually have pity for these girls. Getting stuck with a Goldeen with only the move Horn Attack does not help the situation.' Kidan thought to himself, now feeling guilty and pity for the Sensational Sisters.

"So yeah, there's like no point in battling." Daisy told him.

"Now it's like, instead of having matches, we have time to make ourselves more beautiful than ever," Lily replied to him.

"You gotta' be kiddin' me..." Kidan whispered in disbelief. He wasn't really sure how to react to them, let alone respond to what they just they can't battle, they take most of their time doing make-up? He really never understood girls at all.

"So we'll just give you what you want," Daisy said to him. She then claps her hands a couple of times looking towards the pool. "Seel!"

As she calls out the name, a Seal Lion-like Pokemon pops it's head out of the water. It swims over to them and jumps out of the water, landing next to Daisy. It had a vanilla colored body with twin tails and large fins on both sides. It had a small vanilla colored hon on it's head with two medium sized teeth on each side with it's tongue sitcking out of it's mouth, making it look like it was making fun of you. That Pokemon was known as Seel.

"Seel seel!" The Seel exclaimed as it stuck it's tongue out holding something.

On the tongue, it looked like a raindrop piece that was colored ocean blue. It was called the Cascade Badge. Daisy picks the badge up from Seel's tongue and presents it to Kidan.

"It's the Cascade Badge. This is what you want, right? You can like, have it," Daisy said to him.

"Uhh... thanks, I guess. But... I would really like to earn my badges in Pokemon battles," Kidan explained.

The whole reason to earning his badges was to battle for them, not just be given to without a match. He never felt like he would accomplish his goals if his badges were just given to him on the spot. It made feel like he wasn't strong enough.

"Just take it, a badge is a badge," Daisy told him.

Feeling guilty and not feeling like he really deserved it at all, he heavily sighs and walks up to Daisy.

"Here, take it," Daisy said to him handing him the Cascade Badge.

Taking another look at the Cascade badge with guilt and no enthusiasm, he puts his out to take the bade form her hand. Just as Kidan was about to take it, they all heard a voice shout out of nowhere.

"Hold it right there!" a young woman's voice shouted.

All five of them look up to the stands to see Misty glaring at them with her arms crossed angrily, along with Cealy standing behind her feeling a bit frighten from her cousin's shouting.

"Huh? Who's that?" Kidan thought out loud. He had never seem this girl before. But for some odd reason, she looked very familiar to him somehow.

"Hi Misty!" Violet chimed to her.

Without another word, Misty jumps off the stands and lands between Kidan, Daisy, Violet and Lily annoyed. Cealy walked down the steps and hopped down from the stands next to Misty.

"C-Cealy?" Kidan asked a bit shocked.

"Kidan? What are you doing here?" Cealy asked not realizing it was him at first that was standing next to Misty's sisters.

"I was gonna ask you the same thing," Kidan replied confused.

"I'm here because my cousin Misty invited me over here. Why are you here?" Cealy stated in the obvious. She was actually curious as to why Kidan was here in the gym.

"I'm here to find the gym leaders and battle. Though I guess they don't want to battle," Kidan explained to her. "So they were just gonna give me the badge."

"You guys were just gonna give this kid a badge without a battle?!" Misty shouted angrily at her sisters. She couldn't believe that her own sisters would do that, let alone without a decent battle.

"We like, have no Pokemon to battle with," Violet explained.

"And like, we don't need to be beaten by another one from that small settlement called Pallet Town or whatever," Lily replied.

"Umm... can I say something here please?" Kidan asked them in a polite voice, trying to ignore Lily's last comment.

"Hm? Who is he anyway?" Misty asked, not even paying attention to who the kid even was at all.

"This is... um, you know, he didn't like, tell us his name," Daisy replied.

Kidan gets a sweatdrop on his face, can't believe that he was in the middle of all this. "Umm... my name is Kidan Hikura. I'm from Pallet Town."

"Wait a minute... YOUR Kidan?" Misty asked with some disbelief.

"Uh... yeah?" Kidan replied with a small sweatdrop, not sure how to act or reply to their conversation.

Misty couldn't believe that this thirteen year old kid was Kidan, the one she met when she and her cousin Cealy were kids. For some reason, she couldn't help but stare at him. She saw him wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers. She couldn't help but blush when she looked into his brown eyes.

Cealy, who was standing next to her started to fume. She could tell that Misty was staring at her long time crush, childhood friend. She couldn't believe that her cousin was doing that in front of her, let alone knowing that she had told her about him earlier.

"Hey, uh... are you okay?" Kidan asked her, already feeling a bit awkard from the entire staring faze already.

"H-Huh? Oh yeah... I'm perfectly fine," Misty replied assuring him still blushing. She walked up to him and extended her hand out. "I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Misty Waterflower, Cealy's cousin."

"Misty?" Kidan asked curiously as he tried to remember. After a moment or two, his memory recalled. "Oh right! Your were the little girl that used to play with me and Cealy when we were kids!" He replied happily shaking her hand in return.

"Well I'm glad you remember me Ki-guy,"

She giggled and blushed more as she called him by his nickname.

Kidan blushed a bit as well. "K-Ki-guy?" He thought he didn't hear her right. 'Did she just call me Ki-guy?'

Cealy was now more fumed and fustrated. 'What the heck is Misty doing?! Is she REALLY flirting with him?!' she yelled in her mind.

At that moment, she knew she couldn't hold it back any longer.

Walking up to both Kidan and Misty, she yanked their hands off of each other and glared at Misty like darts. "Can we just have our gym battle please!?"

"Hm? Oh yeah sure." Misty replied cheerfully. "Since you two want to challenge me, which one of you will face me first?"

"I would like to chal-" Kidan started to say.

"I'll face you first cous'!" Cealy shouted already determined and irritated.

"Alright then," Misty shrugged but smiled.

"What?! But Ceal, I was gonna-" Kidan to say to her.

"Kidan, if you don't want a broken arm, I would suggest you get in the stands and just watch," She interupted him with a warning and threat, already angry as she was.

Kidan threw his hands in the air in defence as he backed up a bit with a twisted smile. "Okay, okay! I'll be up in the stands watching... where it's safe."

Misty and Cealy took their positions on both ends of the large pool arena as Kidan, Slice, Daisy, Violet and Lily all stood and watched as the two girls duke it out.

"Wonder what got Cealy so angry about?" Kidan wondered. If he could distinctively remember, throughout his years knowing her, she would hardly ever get this mad, let alone blurt out loud in fustration. 'Something must have happened when I wasn't around.'

"Not sure. I never, like, seen cousin Cealy get so mad like that," Violet replied.

"Neither have I. Though, like, it seems Misty's personality has changed a bit now," Lily pointed out.

"What do you mean? Isn't she always like that?" Kidan asked curiously.

"Like, not when she meets someone like- OW!" Violet started to say when Daisy stepped on her foot.

"Don't like, spill it Violet!" Daisy shouted, making sure her sister didn't say the wrong words.

Kidan and Slice just stood there and sweatdropped, not understanding what the girls are getting at here. They had both already thought they were a bit crazy at the most, and a tad bit dense.

"Well, whatever is going on here, I hope Cealy will be careful. Misty looks like a strong opponent," Kidan pointed out with some hint of concern.

'Yeah I hear ya'. I wonder what kind and type of Pokemon she's got,' Slice wondered.

"As far as I heard, she has Water-type Pokemon. But I don't have a clue as to what kind of Pokemon she carries," Kidan replied to his bladed friend.

"You'll be, like, in shock as to what kind of Pokemon she has," Lily told them._

Misty and Cealy took their places on each side as they both stared at each other. Misty seemed confident, but was thinking about something.

'Why was Cealy so upset earlier? She seemed so mad for some reason,' Misty thought to herself, trying to figure out what her cousin was so fustrated at her about.

On the other side, Cealy was still fumed. She was trying to calm down but with no success. She couldn't get that scene of Misty and Kidan talking a bit ago, with Misty just staring and aweing at him for a bit. 'I can't believe my own cousin was flirting with him! She knew that I...l-liked him! So why did she had to do that, especially in front of me?!' She yelled inside her own thoughts.

"This will be a two-on-two Pokemon Battle between the challenger from Pallet Town, Cealy Seriea, against the Cerulean City Gym Leader, Misty Waterflower," the female referee announced after taking position beside the battlefield. "The challenger is allowed to switch out Pokemon during the battle. The Gym Leader, however, is not. Both sides ready?"

"All set!" Misty called out to the referee.

Cealy just nods, not wanting to speak up from fustration at the moment. She knew too well that she would possibly shout from the top of her lungs if she had replied.

"Then let the match begin!" the referee announces.

"Alright, let's go Staryu!" Misty calls out.

Tossing her Pokeball into the air, the Pokeball opens up and produces a brown-orange colored Starshape-like Pokemon as it landed into the water. Like a regular starfish, it had five corners with a yellow hexagon shaped pieces in the middle. It had a ruby colored gem in the center of the hexagon piece. That Pokemon was what Misty called as Staryu.

"Ha!" Staryu called out.

"So a Staryu huh..." Cealy said to herself as she reached into her pocket.

She pulls out her PokeDex and aims it towards Staryu as the device starts to scan the Pokemon's data. After a brief moment, the encyclopedia device finishes it's scan as Cealy reads over the information and attacks.

"... Hm, that's interesting. If Staryu body was ever torned apart, it can regenerate as long as the glowing central core remains intact. It also appears in large numbers by seashores, and at night, it's central core flashes with a red light." Cealy read from the PokeDex.

"So you ready to lose cous'?" Misty asked her confidently.

"If it means beating you with everything I got, then by all means, yeah!" Cealy retorted back. 'This isn't just for the badge though, this is getting back at you for what you did...' she thought to herself.
