I'm sorry this is late. It was Rosey bday Friday so she has been rather busy so has only just be able to check this for me. I love you rosey and happy bday. Also I sort of rushed her to complete checking this short story I did for remembrance day, it's called Silence by the way.

any way here is the next chap, it is a bit slow and turned out to be much longer than I wanted it to. there is some OOC in this one I think. I mean Egypt's character hasn't really been defined so I didn't really know how to portray him. Apparently he can be very talkative if he wants to be according to his profile.

anyway her you go and sorry for the wait

I don't own hetalia

(Before Ireland's arrival.)

Jack was bored.

He wasn't sure how much time had passed since his Mum had dived into Egypt's mind, which he still found extremely confusing. This whole scenario was completely insane, but he decided to roll with the punches. If you over thought everything that happens to them as countries, especially around the Kirkland brothers, then you just wouldn't bother getting out of bed in the morning.

Anyway, thinking about how messed up the situation was around him did nothing to ease the Australian's boredom. He had already moved the Egyptian around a few times, as well as the Englishman. He had unpacked and repacked the bag several times and may have accidently set fire to the blonde's shoe with a magnifying glass - he of course put it out with the sand straight away, while pondering why the hell a magnifying glass was even in a survival kit.

He even at one point moved the two nations so they were hugging each other, but quickly broke them apart after he remembered the rare times they did actually hug each other during Egypt's time as a colony. It had happened maybe twice, but it did happen, though Australia couldn't exactly remember who was comforting who.

He was currently entertaining himself by counting the faint freckles sprayed on his 'Mum's face - they only ever showed up when in the sun and, as it rained so much in England, they didn't show up very often - he'd counted thirteen when he noticed the red liquid mixing with the sand by his feet.

He tried not to panic at the sight, knowing full well what the source was. What was the point in panicking if there was nothing that he could do really? Doing the only thing that he could do, Australia carefully rolled his 'Mother' over to find the source of the blood and winced at the gruesome wound on the angel's wing.

Growing up around animals as he did, it was sort of obvious that Jack had to become a vet. Being a vet and seeing that wound, he knew that England was going to be in an immense amount of pain when he returned to his body, if he wasn't already. Trying to help the Brit, Australia brought out the medical kit and started to tend to the wing. The feathers made it easy to work on the Englishman, for some reason, Jack found it easier to work on animals rather than people, he just understood animals a bit better.

Although he was panicking internally, Australia did a pretty good job at tending to his 'Mum'. The brunette sat with his back up against the Jeep and pulled the blonde over so the angel's head was resting in his lap with his hand resting over the nation's heart. He thought that maybe it would help the Brit, let him know that he was there for him, or maybe it was just reassuring Australia that England was alive.

He was quite happy just sitting there, enjoying the heat from the sun on his face, Jack was at ease, still bored as hell though. He felt something clutch at his heart though when he felt the Englishman's heart start to beat rapidly. It was clear that the Englishman was panicking, from what though is what had the Australian worried. He didn't calm down at all when England's heartbeat began to slow down, it was now too slow.

Not sure if it would actually help at all, Australia moved the Englishman into a better position so he was able to breathe easier. Hearing the strangled breathing coming from the Englishman, the younger nation started to pat the blonde's back hoping that it would help dislodge whatever was blocking the Brit's airway, if that was possible.

Relief washed over the Australian as the angel started to cough, but he raised a quizzical eyebrow at what came out of the Brit's mouth. How on earth did Arthur swallow so much sand?

Seeing that the Englishman was now breathing perfectly fine, Australia set the nation's head back down on his lap. He thought to himself about whether he would prefer a ghost to kill his boredom or to just suffer through the boredom and hope no ghosts would appear - he didn't want to jolt his healing 'mother' after all. He also had a feeling that something bad was going to happen to the blonde, so maybe suffering through the boredom was best.

Sighing heavily, Jack searched the desert once again for anything he could entertain himself with, only to find nothing. There were no animals to play around with, nothing in sight other than sand.

Getting a brainwave, Australia gently placed England's head down on the sand and opened the Jeep door, feeling slightly disappointed that he didn't need to break it open. Leaning over the cool black seats, Australia turned the ignition, but didn't start the engine, and turned the radio on.

As expected, the only radio station that came on didn't play any songs that the Australian recognised but he sang along with it anyway. He was actually enjoying making up lyrics to the songs (a lot of them insulted a certain Kiwi and Brit). The fun that he was having completely shattered when England suddenly became drenched in blood.

Falling out of the Jeep, Australia stumbled over to the blonde, just in time for England's body to lurch forward and blood to spray out of his mouth. Australia found that he had difficulty breathing as he surveyed the Englishman, resisting the urge to just scream his heart out.

Taking a few deep breaths to calm his nerves, Australia willed himself to tend to the Englishman. Holding his breath and trying to look away, Australia searched the Englishman's body for the cause of the blood.

Yet again, Australia tried to understand why he was so nervous - working with animals was second nature to him but he always freezes up when he has to tend to anyone, like when New Zealand got injured at the conference.

His muscles relaxed a bit as he found no wounds on his 'Mum', but that didn't calm him completely. Oh no, he knew that meant England was soaked in someone else's blood and some had actually got in his mouth.

Jack had seen the effect seeing the state of Alfred had had on Arthur, he didn't want that blood to belong to another ex-colony. Oh God! What if it was Gilbert's? Jack could see how close the pair had got, the Prussian seemed to be keeping him focused on what was happening in the here and now, rather than looking to the past or imagining the worst possible future. What would happen if England lost his friend?

Those close to the English nation knew that he was good friends with Prussia, but he hadn't reacted that differently when he died. Yes he had been a bit quiet for some time, but everyone was. Everyone had expected a bigger reaction as once England let someone in, they became extremely important to him. Look at what had happened when his mother died. Now Australia understood the little reaction. England had had a pretty good idea that Prussia was still out there, so had felt no need to grieve as much as the others, he could still see him. So what if Arthur actually lost the albino?

The Australian didn't get that much time to contemplate what might happen if that was the case as there was a brilliant flash of light to his left. Jumping to his feet (careful not to jolt the Brit) Australia whipped out a gun and a dagger.

He threw them to the ground though as soon as he recognised the source of light to be Ireland. The brunette ran over to the Irish nation and caught the elder just as his legs gave way. Lowering the ginger nation to the ground so he was kneeling, Jack let his uncle go only once said uncle waved him off.

Doing as he was asked, Australia backed off and looked over the Irish nation. He was extremely pale, beads of sweat were on his forehead with dark rings around his eyes. Patrick was breathing heavily, his hand over bandages that wound around his chest, there was no blood but from the pained expression on the Irish nation, it was close to reopening.

"Jesus Christ! That took more out of me than I thought it would. Right, where is Sasanna?" the Irish nation mumbled, looking around the area he had just teleported himself to. The Celtic nation smiled once he actually saw the Australian, having sort of forgot that there was someone guarding his brother and that the Oceanic nation just saved him from falling flat on his face.

"Ah Jack, where is my deartháir?"

Australia said nothing as he stepped to the side and pointed to the Englishman who was panting on the floor. As quick as a flash, the smile on Patrick's face was wiped off and replaced with worry and sympathy.

Wordlessly, Ireland struggled to his feet and made his way over to the blonde. His legs complained at the action and caused him to fall onto one knee several times before he reached his brother's side. Quickly chanting a spell, purple flames danced around his fingertips as he placed his hands on England's temples. The flames circled his fingertips, gradually going up his arms until they reached his shoulder. Closing his eyes, the flames then shot down his arms and seeped into the Englishman's mind.

Australia watched from the side feeling helpless, yet fascinated at the same time. He knew that he shouldn't interrupt the Irishman whilst he was performing a spell, so scanned the area, only to see a shadow on the border of the charm placed by England earlier. Without hesitating, Jack brought out his gun and fired it at the ghost.

Ireland didn't even look up from his spot, the ginger nation was completely oblivious to anything going on around him. The nation kept all of his attention on his younger brother and would carry on doing so, until there was nothing else that he could do or England no longer needed him.

Feeling that the spell no longer needed to be cast, Ireland stopped chanting and released its energy. Having completed the spell, the Irish nation had almost used up all of his energy – which he'd had very little of to start with - and so sprawled himself out on the sand.

Snapping his fingers to gain the other nation's attention, too tired to care that the action was rude, Ireland called Australia over. "Quickly tell me what happened before Sasanna wakes up. I want to know how to deal with him."

Knowing that the Irish nation wasn't particularly patient when family was concerned, Australia relayed what had happened hurriedly.

Australia had just finished relaying what had happened while he'd been watching his Mum's body, starting to relax now that Ireland was here. The relaxed feeling though evaporated in an instant when a blood curdling scream erupted from the petite blonde. His back arched as he dug his fingers into the sand.

The screaming only silenced when England's throat became raw and no sound could leave his lips, yet he continued to scream silently and writhe in pain. His body went limp and everything went dark though when Patrick hit Arthur round the back of the head.

"Sorry Sasanna. You, tell me what happened?"

Prussia blinked at the Irish nation, wondering how the ginger nation had managed to move so fast. Crimson eyes stared blankly for a few seconds before realisation dawned on him that Patrick was actually talking to him.

"Mein Gott! I don't know where to start."

"Just tell me why he went into shock."

Taking a deep breathe Prussia winced when the memories flashed past, resisting the urge to throw up again. He didn't even know that ghosts could throw up. Seeing how pale the ghost had turned, Australia gave him a pat on the back with a forced smile.

"Ägypten (Egypt) was inside a sand timer full of his own blood. Arthur had to kiss the base of it, a-a-and -"

"Don't worry, I understand. Sasanna, you are not having any luck with this are you? Why did you decide to take in so many nations, it always hurts you to see them hurt?" the Irish nation whispered as he looked down at his brother sadly.

All those present stared at the blood soaked blonde, Australia didn't quite know what had happened to his mum, but he knew that England would need someone with him afterwards. He would be fine, England always was in the end, especially if he had other people to lean on.

"I suggest that you bring him back to my house, I don't think waking up covered in my blood will help him get over the shock." Three pairs of eyes widened at the sound of the voice, none of them expecting the Egyptian to be sitting in the front seat of the Jeep.

The usually quiet nation smiled at the dumbstruck nations and hopped out of the car. Wordlessly he knelt down by the Englishman and scooped England into his arms. Both eyebrows raised slightly, experimenting a bit, Egypt bounced the European up and down in his arms gently.

"He is really light, has it got something to do with him being an angel?" He received only horrified looks from the three nations staring at him in reply, so carried on, "I have known for a while, I have no idea why he is like it, but seeing how he tried to hide it, I thought better than to say anything about it. Do one of you want to hold him while I drive, or should I just put him in the front seat?"

Getting over the shock first, Australia bounced over to the Egyptian and took his 'mum' into his arms. He always knew that Egypt could be a chatter box when he wanted to, but had never really witnessed it - he never really spoke to the Egyptian that much, the Australian was usually talking to the kiwi or Canada. Apparently Egypt and Hong Kong talked to each other quite a few times; both of them had a reputation for being a silent type after all.

Carefully, the Australian climbed into the back seat of the car with England resting on his lap. He cringed when he felt the sticky substance that soaked the Englishman seep through his own clothes. Jack tried hard not to think about it, but decided that he was going to have at least five showers once they got to Egypt's house.

Ireland moved after the Australian was in the car, deciding to take the front seat. Prussia gave the Egyptian a questioning look, wondering if he could actually see the ghost. He soon got his answer as Egypt gave Prussia a friendly smile and gestured to the open door.

"I have seen England as an angel and just saw you fight in my own mind, your appearance doesn't surprise me. Waking up with England covered in blood did surprise me, as I realised that the dream I had wasn't a dream at all, but real."

The Egyptian said no more as he hopped into the driver's seat, a tiny smile on his face. He rummaged around in the glove compartment until he fished out a pair of sunglasses and put them on. Winding down the window, the usually quiet nation, put his arm out and started to drive home once Prussia was in the car.

The journey to Egypt's house went by quickly, probably due to Ireland having to relay everything that Prussia said to the Australian like England had done earlier. The Oceanic nation was curious about what it was like to enter someone's mind so asked the pair who had what it was like. Apparently Argentina's mind was a lot like the battle of Helms Deep from 'Lord of the Rings', Ireland wasn't sure if it was a coincidence or not.

The Irish nation had apparently got his wound due to yelling at Wales to stop singing and concentrate on the fight, this in turn caused Ireland to not concentrate and miss a block. Dylan didn't out right laugh at the ginger nation, but he did have a rather smug smile the whole time he was with Patrick.

Jack found this hilarious, until Ireland started to relay what Prussia and England had encountered so far. The quicksand did not sound fun at all. Seeing how quickly Australia's cheery mood fell at this, Prussia decided against telling the brunette the state in which they'd found the possessed nation, which Ireland happily agreed too. So instead, Prussia told Ireland about the fake flirting he and England were now partaking in to lighten the mood. Also that he had to get out of the Englishman's debt, he did not like England being two up on him.

Laughing quite loudly, Australia asked when Prussia was going to become part of the family, to which the ghost replied that he already was. All the while Egypt continued to drive, nodding his head in time with the music. He tried to focus on the music rather than the visions that were plaguing his mind. He didn't want to say anything about what he'd seen, he could see that the others were trying to enjoy themselves, and from what he had heard (he had been listening carefully to them the whole time) they deserved a chance to try and be happy.

He sighed in relief as he pulled up to his house, happy to see the pale walls that reflected the sun's rays. It was a fairly big house that could house a big family, but was small enough that he didn't feel lost within its walls.

It was just as they pulled up that Australia's phone went off, the young nation looked down to his 'mum', then to his pocket where his phone was, weighing up his options. Seeing the predicament the Australian was in, Prussia got out of the car and opened the Australian's door.

Tilting his head to the side with a puzzled look, Australia peeked around the headrest to the Irish nation. The freckled nation smiled at the brunette, then leant backwards to see Prussia with his arms out stretched. "Prúise, is going to take Sasanna for you, so you can answer your phone."

"Oh, cheers mate," Australia thanked the air in front of him, easing England away from his chest, mildly amused when Prussia took the Brit off him. His mum was floating again. It was a strange thing to witness, but it did put his mind at ease.

The Australian sighed as he dug his phone out of his pocket and groaned loudly at the sight of the caller ID. He just knew that his boss was going to moan at him, that's all his boss ever phoned him for. Pulling a face, the brunette answered the phone and instantly pulled it away from his ear.

"Where the hell have you been!?"

"I'm helping Mum out at the moment, I told you when the pommie got injured at a meeting, right?"

"Yes, you did. I also recall that you phoned me at two o' clock in the morning practically screaming down the phone about it. Look Jack, I understand that you want to help England, but you have other things that need to be attended to."

"I know that sir, but Mum needs me."

"I do wish that you stop referring to England as your mum. I know that he is this country's motherland and that he raised you, but he is still a man. A country and former empire, calling him 'Mum' doesn't seem appropriate. Can you at least call him Dad? Anyway I'm sure that plenty of others are able to help England and that he doesn't just need you. Now come back home and do your work!"

"He does have others helping him sir, but he needs as many as he can. Kiwi is helping him and I think Franceis too, but that is not enough."

"I know full well that New Zealand is helping England as I spoke to his boss to find out where you were. Unlike you Jack, your brother actually told his boss what he was doing, and they were able to plan accordingly. I was unable to do that with you Jack, so I was unable to plan a way for you to have a holiday of some sort. You need to come back right now!"

Australia looked at his phone sadly then back to the house with a longing gaze. Ireland was hovering by the Jeep, making sure that his nephew was alright. Egypt had gone inside a while ago, saying something about preparing something to eat.

Seeing Ireland waiting for him, and hearing the tone in his boss's voice, Australia decided to tell the older nation to go on ahead as he knew he was going to be some time. The ginger nation obliged, giving the younger a curt nod before entering Egypt's house.

"I'm sorry sir, but I can't come back straight away. Mum has just been though a lot and needs an offsider."

"As you said earlier Jack, there are others there to help him, so get back he-"

"Not at the moment there isn't sir. The pommie has only got me at the moment and his brother, Uncle Ireland."

"Then leave England with Ireland, you need to come home Jack."

"I need to stay at least until the others come sir. Uncle Pat is injured and is not in the right state to be looking after Mum."

There was a long pause on the other end of the phone, then his boss replied, "Fine, but I expect you to come back home as soon as the others arrive, Jack. When you get back we'll try and get through this work as quickly as possible so you can get back to England ok?"

"Cheers mate - I mean sir."

"See you soon Australia," Australia's boss sighed before hanging up the phone.

Sighing again, Australia ran a hand though his hair. He knew that there was something he should have done whilst they were at England's house, now he had to go back home to do work. His boss was an alright guy, he sounded a bit sympathetic when he found out that Ireland was injured and he was going to make it so Australia could come back quickly as well, so the man wasn't all that bad. A bit cranky, but overall an ok guy.

The Oceanic nation looked at his phone to see the time, judging by what Hong Kong had told him earlier, it would be a couple of hours before the others got here. He then made the decision that he would make the most of this time to help his 'mum', but first, he needed to let Hong Kong know about him having to return to his own country.

Ireland was exhausted. Although he had regained some energy on the drive to the house, he was still so tired from the spell earlier, teleporting and his injury. Still he felt the need to check on his little brother, it wasn't like he didn't trust Prussia to handle England, it was just he felt that everyone was relying on the ex-nation too much. With this in mind, the freckled nation walked down the halls, stumbling every now and then, listening out for the ghost.

The albino was found in a room that looked a lot like a spare bedroom, holding the unconscious England in his arms, mumbling nonsense to the blonde. The clover eyed nation smiled when he realised it was so his brother could try and focus on something other than the nightmares that were no doubt plaguing his mind.

"Think that they're getting through to him at all?" the ghost asked, not looking up from the blonde in his arms. Stepping beside the Prussian, Patrick examined his brother's face, it wasn't as pained as it was earlier, it was calmer.

"Aye, I think so. Time that we give Sasanna a shower though, don't you think? I'm coming with you though, don't think that I haven't noticed how close you have got. No taking advantage of my poor defenceless brother while I'm around. Feel free though to do it when I'm out of ear shot," the Irishman grinned.

"Don't want to upset Birdie's family do I. You run the bath then Hirsch (stag)."

"Hirsch? Stag?" The Irish nation cocked his head to the side, looking much younger than he was, and a lot like North. A grin grew across Prussia's face, as he ignored the Irishman and went into the en suite.

"Alban said something about you giving nicknames, but why stag?"

"It's your national animal, or is it?"

"No, I don't actually have an official one, but I suppose that is the closest thing. Right start taking Sasanna's clothes off, keep his boxers on though you pervert."

"I think you are getting mein awesomeness confused with Francey Pants," the Prussian snorted but still did as he was told and carefully worked to get the suit off England. Ireland smiled to himself as he turned the water on, it withered though when he caught sight of the blood soaked outfit England was wearing. He would burn that later.

"Won't he wake up when we place him in the water?" Prussia asked as he was about to lower the red stained Brit into the water. Although his body was out of the water, the Englishman's wing (the one that wasn't bandaged) dipped into the liquid, the red already seeping out of the feathers.

"Nah, he'll be fine. Placed a spell on him earlier when no one was paying attention, he'll sleep until his wing heals a bit more. Don't want him waking up screaming in pain like he did earlier." The Irishman offered the ghost a small smile, but it did little to actually reassure the Prussian.

"The wing shouldn't have caused him that much pain should it? I understand that his awesome wings are sensitive and everything but he was pretty much in agony." Prussia frowned as he lowered England into the bath tub, the water quickly turned red.

The Irish nation sighed as he took out the plug of the bath, allowing the tainted water to go down the drain. The eldest of the Kirklands then turned on the shower and gently rinsed the blood off his brother.

"I wanted to ask you something about that actually. I expected him to scream due to what happened with Egypt, but he was actually in a lot of physical pain. What else happened Gil? Something hurt him, and I'm not sure how to help him without knowing what caused it."

"I told you all about the fight, that is the only thing I can think of that would have hurt him…. But when he unlinks a country, his face does look pained…"

"Pained!? That shouldn't happen, sure it takes a lot of concentration, but it shouldn't hurt Sasanna. Anything else about the spell that you can remember Prúise, anything that might not have seemed right? Did he touch the dagger?"

Feeling a bit nervous about the fact that the spell that England was performing seemed to be harming the Englishman, Prussia quickly racked his brain for anything else that seemed strange about the spell. To be honest, he didn't know what the spell was meant to be like as he had only seen England do it. He had seen Scotland help him though.

Back inside America's mind, Scotland had helped England hadn't he? There was a slight difference between the brothers as well.

"Nien, he didn't touch it but, there was some black mist thing that seemed a bit clingy to Arthur. It did nothing to Foxy - Scotland."

"That's not good. That must be what Alban wanted to talk to me later about. From now on Sasanna will need to have one of us with him. I'll have to research into this, but it could be dangerous for Sasanna." Patrick spoke mainly to himself, but loud enough for the Prussian to hear.

The ginger wordlessly handed the albino some shampoo, so Prussia could start working on getting the blood out of the blonde's hair and wings. Taking the shampoo without a word, Prussia set to work. By the time they had cleaned England's hair and wings, the shampoo was almost empty.

By this time, most of the blood was off the angel, but was still some on his skin and around his private parts. Seeing this, Ireland laughed before putting the plug back into the drain and adding a large about of bubble bath into the water.

Prussia raised a questioning eyebrow at the Irishman, but caught on to what he was doing when the bubbles completely covered the water's surface, making it impossible to see underneath. Patrick then poured some shower gel onto a sponge and started to gently scrub the blonde's skin.

"Go and get Sasanna some clothes, I'll finish cleaning him. Used to help change him when he was a leanbh (baby), I don't really care about doing it again."

The Prussian nodded and left the room looking for something that would fit the Limey. That was rather difficult as Egypt was a bit shorter than England, and wearing clothing a size too small was not ideal for someone getting over an injury. Luckily though, Egypt had guests over every now and then, one of them being Turkey, who had left some spare clothes in the house.

The albino was quite happy with the clothes he'd found for the Brit. They consisted of a pair of jogging bottoms with a pull string waist, a plain black t-shirt and a red jumper that would be too big on the Englishman, but would be comfortable.

Looking down at himself, Prussia noticed that he was covered in blood as well, so, closing his eyes to concentrate, Prussia changed his appearance. Also feeling the need for a change, he was now wearing dark pair of jeans, a black hoody that had rabbit ears and a pair of red converse - it was a change from not wearing anything on his feet.

When he reached the bathroom, he gave the clothes to Ireland who thanked him. Having finished washing his brother, the Irishman then removed the blonde from the drained tub and put the jogging bottoms on his brother while Prussia faced the other way. Once the Englishman was decent, Prussia joined the Irishman in drying England's hair and wings.

Once Arthur was dressed, Patrick decided to get some sleep, leaving Prussia in charge of looking after the Englishman, which was relatively easy as the blonde was still asleep. The albino placed the Briton down on the extraordinarily large sofa in the living room, so he could still see what was going on around them.

Fighting in so many wars had caused the Prussian to get into the subconscious habit of always positioning himself somewhere he could see everything that was going on around him, particularly when in a place he wasn't accustomed to. The living room was in the centre of the house, so he could hear anyone who entered and someone would have to go through this room to get to the other side of the house. From here Prussia felt safe.

It was from this place that he heard Egypt call for food, and witnessed Australia bulldoze his way to the kitchen. He also heard Scotland, North and France arrive outside. He couldn't help but chuckle when the teenager came bounding in and fell to the ground by the sofa, grabbing onto Arthur's hand.

"Artie! I'm here for you know Artie. Leon told us what happened, who was told by Jack, I'm sorry Artie. I'm sorry."

Prussia wasn't too proud to admit that he found the whole thing heart-warming, it was clear how much the youngest of the Kirklands cared for Arthur.

From the doorway France gave the Englishman a concerned glance but he couldn't help but smile at the brotherly display. Behind the Frenchman, Scotland rolled his eyes, smiling warmly. Placing a hand on his friend's shoulder, Scotland headed towards the kitchen where Australia and Egypt were.

"Come on Duckie, wee Bunny will be fine with Connor," Scotland encouraged Prussia to join them as he poked his head back through the doorway.

The Prussian looked towards the pair on the sofa, somehow, Connor had managed to worm his way between Arthur's back and the sofa. Being careful to avoid the angel's injured wing, Connor buried his head between Arthur's shoulder blades giving the blonde a backward hug.

"That is just liebenswert (adorable). You got a camera?"

"Nae, but I ken that the sheep shagger does. Wait till he, James and the others get 'ere, then we can get things sorted," the redhead grinned rather impishly and carried on after the Frenchman.

Giving the two Kirklands one last look, Prussia didn't feel at all guilty leaving the injured nation. He floated into the kitchen hovering by the Egyptian who was carrying food into the dining room, a miniature sphinx resting on his shoulder.

Drifting into the spacious dining room, Prussia found the Australian had already tucked into the food. France was helping set the table, whilst Scotland was putting some food onto his plate. The Scotsman then left the room and went to find the eldest of his younger brothers - he had spoken to Egypt earlier and the nation had no qualms about letting Ireland eat in the guest room.

It was just when Egypt had brought all the food in that the others arrived. Egypt couldn't remember the last time he had had so many people in his house, but he didn't mind. Currently sitting around his table were: Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Belarus, Norway, Romania, France and he knew that Prussia was floating around somewhere.

Although he couldn't see the ghost Egypt could still feel his presence, also his sphinx kept hissing at what seemed to be thin air and food kept disappearing.

Gupta welcomed the distraction though, after what he'd witnessed in his mind, he was a bit traumatised, who wouldn't be though? He knew that France had caught on, despite being labelled as a pervert; France was very thoughtful of others and very observant.

Of course all the nations knew this, it just wasn't often that France showed this side of himself. Knowing that he probably wasn't the best company for the Egyptian, France said something to Norway and Romania, as the others would be preoccupied with the two injured Kirklands and planning what would happen next.

After the two members of the magic trio had talked to him - mainly just sat with him as they gazed at the stars on the roof - Egypt decided to thank the Frenchman later. It was clear that Romania and Norway weren't the best at comforting, but they had tried. Romania pointed out that it could have been a lot worse, and that Egypt could have had his brain pulled out through his nose, while Norway slapped the other European round the back of the head.

After calming down, Gupta returned to his living room, to find that his unconscious guest was surrounded by sleeping woodland animals - most of which were not native to his country. Small rabbits, squirrels, two badgers and a fox crowded around the Brit. The Egyptian was sure that other creatures were surrounding the Englishman, as he could only just faintly make out colourful balls hovering around him.

He didn't have too much time to dwell on it though as Australia then burst into the room and steam rolled across the ground wrestling an alligator. The Egyptian paid no attention to the brunette, but just hopped over him to hunt for someone who knew how to deal with the Australian. He couldn't help but laugh when New Zealand came stomping into the room, holding a mobile phone like a weapon.

"Jack, your boss called you and is throwing a fit because I answered it for you. You better get your Kangaroo fucking arse back home, before he flies over here and strangles you."

"Awwwhhh but I wanted to at least wait for Mum to wake up to say bye."

"I'll ask Uncle Pat if he will wake him up. Uncle Alistair and Dylan have gone to help another possessed country with France and Belarus. They all wanted to distract themselves, well except Belarus, she just wants to attack something."

"What did you need me for?" Ireland asked as he materialised in the doorway. He looked a lot better than he had earlier, he now had colour to his skin and life in his eyes.

"I want to say bye to Mum before I have to jet back home, but the pommie is still asleep."

Ireland studied the blonde on the sofa who was hugging a happy Minty, then up to the fairy hovering above them. She gave him a thumbs up, telling the Irish nation that all the other fae had completed their spells and that England was perfectly fine to wake up now.

"All his wounds are closed and the healing process has been sped up. He is just going to be in a bad mood and feel numb," Sunbeam announced with a smile. She then ungracefully plopped onto Connor's head and started to stroke the teen's hair.

Patrick gave the yellow fairy a grateful nod and stepped over to the English nation. He muttered a few words then flicked the blonde's nose with a smile. The spell worked rather quickly as England began to stir.

Emerald eyes slowly opened to meet a pair of swampy green ones, a couple of inches above him. Any other person would have screamed at this, Arthur however flung his arms around the Australian's neck and held on for dear life.

To say that Jack was caught by surprise was an understatement, his mind had almost shut down, though he did manage to return the hug. He patted the Englishman's back, staying there until Arthur let go. As England pulled back slightly, Australia looked into his 'Mum's eyes, his own filled with remorse.

"I gotta go back home Mum. My boss is as mad as a frog in a sock that I didn't tell him where I was and I got a shit load of work to do. Don't worry though Gilbert is still here with you, and Kiwi. Matthew is on his way over, Tony is keeping Alfred busy. You're not going to be alone. I don't think Connor will let you," Australia nigh on whispered with a smile as he pointed to the teenager who was still snuggled into the angel's back. The teenage nation had only got up when Wales came to get him food, and still he didn't leave until Prussia said that he would stay with England while North ate.

England glanced to his brother, a soft smile ghosting his lips. It became more permanent when he noticed the creatures that were also resting with him, both magical and ordinary. The angel had an inkling that it was due to Sunbeam that animals from his country had somehow managed to find his way to Egypt.

"Alright love, I'll see you soon right?"

"Of course you pommie bastard."

"See you later alligator."

"In a while crocodile."

Australia waited for a few moments before he threw himself at the Englishman, once again drawing him into a tight hug. "You're strong Mum, don't let it bother you," he whispered as he drew away and went to find Romania - the nation had offered to give him a lift to the airport a while ago. He didn't think that Romania meant by broomstick though.

"Thank you England for what you did, and I am very sorry." Egypt bowed to the Englishman, but was brought into a tight embrace. Although this action was foreign for the pair, it was soothing and needed. Egypt felt less guilty and England knew that the country was ok.

"I can form a line for you Sasanna if you want to go around hugging people. Some people are absent though at the mo, so you can just make do with the one here," Ireland teased. The ginger nation laughed when he received a middle finger from the blonde, who was still hugging Egypt.

This action caused both New Zealand and Ireland to relax, England wasn't completely broken, damaged and in need of repair but not broken.

A day passed rather quickly. The brothers were constantly going out to help other countries, Ireland now joining them as his wound had pretty much healed. North had to be dragged away from England whenever he was needed to step in for someone when they got tired. Those who were watching the others, making sure that the ghosts didn't take advantage of their empty bodies, would care for England. France wanted to help the Brit, but knew that England would benefit more from being with his ex-colonies and the ghost that followed him.

The others found that England was oddly clingy with everyone, it was clear to everyone just how much he was affected by everything. Usually the Englishman could handle things alone, but right now he was acting completely out of character, needing to always see someone so he knew that they were ok.

Prussia was with England nearly as much as North, but the Englishman wasn't always at Egypt's house. The Prussian thought that it would be better for the Brit to come out of the house and help him do something constructive. This just so happened to be helping Prussia fix the crashed plane. England enjoyed fixing the plane - actually the Brit enjoyed tinkering, although it was usually with small things, like fixing old pocket watches. It was strangely relaxing and funny as Prussia and himself had some banter.

Prussia worked on the main engineering of the plane, but would leave the fiddly parts to the blonde. The albino was actually quite thankful for the Briton's girly hands, though didn't voice it - he did not need Arthur getting angry. The pair did also have a bit of help from the Gremlins after Patrick had a word with them.

It was on the second day that England got a call from Hong Kong. "Dad, you are, like, needed in Spain. Joao has something he needs to show you."

"Who is it this time Birdie and are you ready to go?"

"Of course I am, don't ask such a bloody stupid question. We are going to your buddy's house. According to my brothers, I'm not allowed to go by myself now and Connor isn't leaving me alone. He will likely be accompanying us. How about we let the Frog come with us. I know that the git has been wanting to talk to me but has let the others keep me company instead. I suppose I need to thank him."

"Awesome Birdie, Bad Touch Trio together again. It would be best though to tell Francey Pants that the ghost with you is the one and only awesome me, before we get to Tino, or I don't think that we will get anything done."

"We'll tell him on the plane, Connor can fly it. Oh what fun we are going to have."
