[Chapter 15: The Maiden in Love!]
Me: Ok, I would like to say thanks for reading and reviewing the 'Cyber HERO Duelist' story. Now I would like to once again introduce Counting Sinful Stars.
Counting Sinful Stars: Hey everyone! I well once again be doing the disclaimer so here it is: YGO Fan Girl owns only one Misaki Valentine, the Gem Beasts and Occult deck list, and 20 cards in the deck, and I, however, own only Annabelle Bakura and the rhythms that were used by Misaki and Anna during the Tag Team Duel. We also don't own YUGIOH! GX or the Avengers or Megaman NT Warrior and the Gem Beasts magic and trap cards/the Occult decks cause if we did then Crowler and Chazz wouldn't exist and Alexis and Jaden would be together.

All the students stood in line with their dorm color while facing the screen where they could see the Chancellor.
"Settle down everyone," he was telling them, "Chumly stop chewing with your mouth open!"
"Aww," Chumly could be heard groaning, "not here, too."
"Good," the Chancellor said, "now the big match up against our rival school; North Academy, is coming up. Last year, Zane, our student rap, whipped them good and this year, I won't to win the school duel again." Misaki smiled as she watched Syrus talk to a new student that was next to him before she caught Jaden's eye who gave her a smile and wink which made her blush. "Now we haven't decided on whose going to representing us this year so if you keep hitting those books and dueling hard. You maybe the one who get's the honer."
Misaki walked over to the Slifer area when the screen turned off giving a smile to the new student in the red uniform.
"Alright!" Jaden cheered as he appeared between the two Slifers, "did you hear what he said? That could be me in this match!"
"Hey, or me," Syrus told him, "but, we might as well face it Jay, it'll properly be Zane who gets the spot again or Misaki."
"How come?" Jaden asked as he looked over at Zane.
"Because he's amazing," the new student answered him with a blush.
This made Misaki look over with a raised eyebrow while Jaden's eyes where widen a bit.
Outside!
"Amazing?" Jaden asked as he, Chumly, Syrus, and Misaki walked outside after they were dismiss for the day. "What's that got to do with it? It should be about whose best."
"Zane did beat you in a duel Jaden," Syrus pointed out.
"Yeah, but it was a totally closed match," Chumly agreed with Syrus.
"That's true." It was then that they saw the new student run across the path in front of them.
"Blair?" Jaden asked as he watched.
After giving Misaki a quick kiss on the cheek which got her to blush again, Jaden started to run off.
"Uh, Jaden?" Syrus asked.
"Got to check something out," Jaden answered him.
Docks!
"Wow, a cold wet dock in middle of the night," Alexis said as she, Zane, and Misaki stood by the lighthouse, "you sure haven't forgotten to show a girl a good time."
"Lex, Kai," Zane spoked up, "I caught Jaden snooping around in my room today."
"Jaden?" Alexis asked in surprise.
"What on earth could he be doing in your room?" Misaki asked just as surprise as Alexis was.
"I don't know, but I found this," Zane answered as he held out a hair clip.
"Huh, that's a girl's hair clip," Alexis informed him.
"Mmm."
Cliffs!
"I knew this is would happen," the three Obelisk students heard Syrus sigh, "Jaden found a new guy to pal around with."
"That's not it, Syrus," Zane spoke up as the three of them walked up, "because Blair's not a guy, she's really a girl. Obelisk security cam showed her sneaking around the dorm."
"What the didn't show us is why she went through all this trouble," Alexis finished.
"Really?" Syrus asked, "I wonder how Jaden plans to solve that mystery."
"DUEL!"
"Huh?"
Misaki looked over the cliff before a smirk appeared on her face.
"I think we just found the answer to your question, Syrus," she stated.
"Time to threw down."
"Alright," Blair agreed as she drew from her deck, "get ready to..." She smirked when she looked at her card before she placed it on the duel disk. "Fall in love. I summon the Maiden in Love!"
"She's cute," Syrus stated with a smile making Chumly to look at him with a glare.
"My turn now!" Jaden announced as he then drew his sixth card, "so many choices, but I think I'll go with this one...Elemental Hero Avian!" The winged male Hero appeared on the field. "Attack!"
"Ah, my poor helpless Maiden," Syrus sighed in disappointment.
"Hey, who said she's yours?" Chumly asked him.
"How about we let the monsters do the fighting?" Alexis asked with a smile of amusement, "ok guys?"
"Quill Cascade!" Jaden ordered making Misaki to face palm as Avian attacked the Maiden.
"You may have broken her heart, but lives to love another day!" Blair informed him as her life points went down 3400, "you see, as long as she stays in attack mode, her special ability keeps her from being destroyed."
'Winged Kuriboh?' thought Jaden when the furball appeared next to him.
"Kuri."
Misaki let out sigh while shaking her head.
"He's an idiot," she stated as she looked back at the field.
"Wow, what's going on?" Jaden asked he watched Avian kneel next to the Maiden.
"My...My Lady, are you alright?" Avian asked.
"Maybe, maybe not," the Maiden answered while looking away.
"WHAT?" Jaden yelled in shock, "come on Avian! Pull yourself together! Your suppose to be in attack mode not in love!"
"It looks like we have some competition," Syrus stated to Chumly.
"My monster's head over heels," Jaden sighed, "could it get any worse?"
Misaki giggled while Alexis looked amused.
"Actually it could Jaden," Blair answered, "see, Maiden in Love has another special ability, too. Any monster that attacks her get's a Maiden counter!"
Misaki by then had pulled her PDA and was recording the Duel as the Maiden blew a pink heart that popped in front of Avian before another one appeared on his chest.
"What are you doing?" Alexis asked when she noticed the PDA.
"Getting black mail," Misaki answered, "plus I thought Anna might like to see this."
Zane looked over at her with a raised eyebrow.
"I thought you where dating Jaden," he told her.
"Oh, I am, but don't get me wrong," she said as she looked over at him, "I'm just as bad at black mailing people as Anna especially when it comes to my soon to be Big Brother Joey."
Misaki looked back at the duel at the same time as Zane who let out a cackle.
"What's a Maiden Counter?" Jaden asked.
"You'll find out," Blair answered with a smile before she drew her new card, "alright, I equip the equip spell card Cupid Kiss to my Maiden!" A blonde little angel flew up to her and have her a kiss on the cheek. "And now...I'll have her attack!"
"Mister Avian Hero!" the Maiden called as she ran over, "come out, come out, wherever your are! I want to give you a hug!" Avian surprise by this just side stepped her which made her fall. "Why did you do that? You so mean."
The Maiden started to cry while Blair's life points dropped to 2800.
"My Lady, please accept my apologize?" Avian asked as he knelt down.
"Ok," she answered as she looked at him with a smile before blowing a kiss at him.
"Give me a break?" Jaden asked.
"Now how about doing me a little favor Mister Avian?" she asked him.
"Anything," the hero answered.
"Good," she said before turning and pointing at Jaden, "see him? Take him down!"
"Done," Avian agreed before attacking his owner.
"Avian, are you nuts!" Jaden yelled out, "snap out of it! Can't you see that she's just using you?!"
"She can use me anytime," Syrus stated as Jaden's life points dropped to 3000
'I've never felt this way without a grilled cheese sandwich around before.'
"Sorry Jaden, but when Maiden in Love takes damage from a monster that's been pegged with a Maiden Counter the equip spell; Cupid's Kiss automatically activates and allows me to take control of your monster. Sure it might cost me some points, but it's going to cost you a lot more." Misaki smirked as she watched the duel. "Now that I've taken control of your only monster I think I'll play a face down card and end my turn."
"Man, Avian's falling in love and I'm falling behind," Jaden sighed as he drew a new card from his deck, 'Sparkman, but if I attack he'll fall for Maiden just like Avian did. Still I have to do something.' "I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman!" The new male hero appeared on the field making Misaki let out a sigh while shaking her head. "Sorry Avian, but your either with me or against! Sparkman attack Avian with Stack Shock Wave!"
Sparkman did as he was told to do and attacked Avian.
"I don't think so!" Blair declared, "I use Defense Maiden!" They all watched as the female got in front of Avian with her arms out. "You see, it redirects Sparkman's attack so the Maiden in Love gets hit instead of Avian."
"Not bad," Misaki said as Blair's life points went down to 1600.
"And you know what that means," Blair told him as the Maiden fall to her knees.
"Sparkman, you dare attack a defenseless Maiden!" Avian yelled at his fellow Hero, "for shame Sparkman, for shame!"
"Your right," Sparkman said as he clench his head, "I'm sorry. I beg of your forgiveness. I'll do anything, anything!"
"Anything?" the Maiden asked, "well, nothing comes to mind now, but I'm sure I'll think of something later."
"Simply say the word, my darling," Sparkman told her as he got a Maiden counter.
Jaden groaned as he watched his monsters go all gaga over a girl.
"And she well, now that he has got a Maiden Counter," Blair informed with laugh.
"I want one," Syrus gashed, "I want one. How do I get a Maiden Counter?"
"Yeah, me, too," Chumly agreed, "I want one, too."
"Huh?"
Misaki and Alexis looked at the two boys with concern.
"Guys, try to remember that it's just a card your looking at," Alexis told them.
"Try and remember who your talking, too," Zane stated making the two girls to look at him, "when Sy and I were growing up, he use to claim that he was going steady with Dark Magician Girl."
"It's that so?" Alexis asked as the two girls looked back at the boys, "did she break your heart Sy or did you just decided to see other Monsters?"
"Alright, here I go!" Blair yelled as she drew, "I activate the equip spell card Happy Marriage!" The Maiden's dress changed into a wedding dress before she took Avian's arm. "And now Maiden gains as many attack points as Avian has. That is if Avian says 'I do', of course."
The Maiden looked up at Avian with a smile.
"It would be my honer," he told her which raised her attack points up to 1400.
"Now to have her pay a visit to Sparkman," said Blair, "attack!"
Just Avian did before him, Sparkman side stepped the Maiden which made her fall while Blair's life points dropped to 1400.
"Sparkman, how could you do that?" the Maiden asked, "you said you do anything for me."
"Yes, your right," Sparkman agreed as he knelt down, "I'm sorry. Command me, my love."
"Alright then," Maiden agreed, "that's better."
"What is your wish?" Sparkman asked as he stood up.
Jaden groaned as he stared in disbelief at the sight.
"I wish that you beat up that mean boy over there!" Maiden answered.
"With pleasure."
Misaki flinched as Sparkman attacked his owner lowering Jaden's life points down to 1400.
"Well, don't just stand there hubby," the Maiden said as she looked over at Avian.
"Of course not my dear," Avian said before he attacked as well.
"Sorry, but you'll never be able to beat me, Jaden," Blair told him as she took off her hat and the scruff while Jaden's life points went down to 400. "I'm dueling for love."
"Did she say dueling for love?" Zane asked confused, "doesn't she mean dueling with love?"
Both Misaki and Alexis looked over at him with disbelief on their faces.
"Really Zane?" Misaki asked.
"Don't tell us that you haven't put the pieces together yet?" Alexis also asked, "think about it Zane. She puts a disguise, tricks her way into our school, and breaks into your room."
"She's in love," Syrus announced in shock.
"Big time," Alexis agreed, "and she's in love with you, Zane." Jaden stood up with a smile.
"Kuri."
"Yeah, your right," He agreed with his Kuriboh, "playing two guys again Maiden wasn't to smart, but what's done is done. There's nothing much I can do about it now." Jaden drew a new card. "Or is there? Of course, it's so obvious! If I'm going to take on that Maiden then I'm going to need a woman's touch! And I have just the one!" Misaki smiled as he summoned his female hero onto the field. "Now sat those saps straight Burstinatrix."
"Burstinatrix!" the two male heroes yelled in surprise and fear.
"I know this looks bad, but I..." Avian tried to explain.
"Save it," Burstinatrix interrupted him, "you two are pathetic, but your honeymoon is about to be over."
Both male heroes took a step back as flames surrounded Burstinatrix.
"We're in for it now..." Sparkman groaned as he looked in fear at the female hero.
"Wow," Jaden breathed, "you go Burstinatrix. Now let's go get our monsters back." Jaden then chose another card from his hand and played it. "I activate Burst Return! When Burstinatrix is out this let's me bring back all other Elemental Heroes to my hand! Trust me, you guys well thank me for it."
The Maiden Counters on both Sparkman and Avian disappeared making the two heroes freak out.
"What was I thinking?" Avian asked, "I didn't want to get married!"
"Oh boy," Sparkman groaned again, "and Sparkwoman is never going to forgive me."
"Guy pact," both Heroes said, "this didn't happen, ok?"
"How about you two guys get over here?" Burstinatrix asked, "or I'll tell the entire deck!"
"Alright, now that I've got my Heroes back, it's time for a little pay back," Jaden said as he placed both cards in his hand, "I play Polymerization! And fuse together Burstinatrix and Avian to create...Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!" In place of the two monsters, the Flame Wingman stood tall. "Now that's the prefect couple. And this is the prefect attack! Infernal Rage!" The Maiden cried out in pain before she was destroyed as Syrus, Chumly, Zane, Alexis, and Misaki ran down from the cliff just as Blair's life points hit 0. "That's Game! Thanks for the sweet duel Blair. That was fun."
"Alright, I guess I have to tell you, my secret now," she said.
"Nah, I learned more then enough from our duel Blair," Jaden told her, "and I think that our specters learned a few things as well."
Blair looked behind her to see the group standing there, but she was looking at Zane.
"Sure did," Alexis agreed with Jaden making Zane to look at her, "love is on her mind Zane."
"Zane, your here," Blair said as she stood up, "well, then I guess you know. I was the one who sneak into your dorm room not Jaden. I've been in love with you ever since I've meet you."
"Mm, at Naturals?" Zane asked.
"Yeah, that's right," Blair answered with a blush, "we meet right after you won the championship match. I was then that I made a plague that I would do anything to be with you." Jaden walked up to them as Syrus and Chumly sighed in awe while Misaki just shook her head. "I remember that you said that if I trained really hard I could get into Duel Academy just like you so I did. And now that I'm here, we can get married!"
"Huh?"
"Ha, get married," Jaden laughed, "that's a good one. Your honeymoon can be in the cafeteria, Dr Crowler can give you way."
"I'm not joking," Blair told him.
"Blair, sweetie," Alexis said as she stepped forward, "love doesn't work like that. You can't sneak you way into somebodies heart. Just look what happened to your Maiden, she used tricks to get love and she ended up alone and in tears. You can use spells and disguises to find your soul mate Blair. You have to honest and up front of them."
"Yeah, right," Blair yelled, "you just want Zane for yourself! Your trying to get rid of me!"
"Zane, Misaki, a little help please?" Alexis asked nervously. Misaki let out a sigh as she stepped forward this time.
"Maybe you'll listen to some one who has a boyfriend and is happy with him," she said before binding down to the young girls height. "Blair, what Alexis said is true. I know you like Zane, sweetie, but you can't win him over by sneaking into his dorm room and wearing a disguise."
Blair looked down at the ground while Zane spoke up next.
"Blair as flattered as I am about your affections," Zane told her making the young girl to look at him, "right, now in love with only thing; Dueling."
"Dueling?" Blair asked as Zane reached into his pocket and pulled her hair clip.
"I'm sorry, but it's time for you to go home," Zane informed her as he placed her clip into her hands.
"Wait, why does she have to go home?" Jaden asked, "cause you say so? Hello, she's a student here at Duel Academy and a good one."
"Jaden, she has to go home," Zane stated.
"Oh, I see what your doing here Zane," Jaden said as he looked at her, "your pushing her out because she's a good student. Ha! Because she might de-throne you!"
"Jaden, love," Misaki spoke up making the said boy blush as he looked at her, "that's not why she has to go home."
"She has to go home because she's in second grade," Zane finished for Misaki.
"Say what?" Jaden asked as he turned white.
"IN SECOND GRADE!" Syrus and Chumly yelled.
"So your saying that I almost got beat by a girl whose only 8-years-old?" Jaden asked as he fall to his knees.
"8 1/2 if it makes you feel any better?" Blair asked making Jaden fall over.
"HAHAHA!" the Slifer laughed, "that's why duelings so great. If your old enough to drew then your old enough to win!"
Misaki just shook her head before she turned around and walked off to go
find Anna and hope that she hasn't stolen anything.
Next Day: Docks!
The gang all stood at the docks watching as the ship pulled away to head back to the city.
"Goodbye!" Blair called out to them, "I'll be back as soon as I finished grade school and middle school, too, but I'll be back you guys!"
"Ha, hear that Zane?" Jaden asked.
"Oh, please," Zane answered, "I'll be long gone by the time she gets here."
"That's true," Jaden agreed, "I guess Blair's crush ends right here."
"I won't be so sure," Zane told him.
"Goodbye, Jaden, my sweet Prince!" Blair called out to him, "I love you!"
"What?" Both Jaden and Misaki asked as the boy looked freaked.
"Wait, she's suppose to like Zane," he said to Alexis.
"She does like Zane, but apparently she loves you," Alexis teased before laughing.
"Good luck," Zane told him before he walked away.
"Oh, hey, Chumly want to go get some new cards?" Syrus asked as he and Chumly walked away.
"Yeah, I've got one in mind," Chumly agreed.
"Just do me a favor fellas and stay away from the girls in my deck," Alexis told them as she followed.
"And mine," Misaki agreed as she remained by Jaden.
"I'll see you soon!" Blair continued to call out, "write me every day! I love you, Jaden, Sweetie!"
"Wish they made cards to counter this," Jaden groaned while Misaki just grabbed Jaden's hand pulled him away from the docks with half a mind to try and find the millennium items and use them on Blair. Jaden just blinked in surprise before getting a smirk as he came to a stop and pulled Misaki into him. "Are you jealous, Misaki?"
A blush appeared on Misaki's face.
"What?" she asked, "me, jealous of an 8-year-old?" She turned her head away from him. "I don't think so."
Jaden laugh before her rested his chin on her shoulder.
"Don't worry," he told her, "she doesn't have a chance of getting with me."
Misaki allowed a small smile to appeared before she turned around and hugged him.
