Chapter 15: Tentacruel to You!
?: Look out!
?: Don't stand there, shoot them you morons!
?: This is all your fault, you idiot!
?: How was I suppose to know that would happen?!
?: Because it was labelled 'danger zone: do not mix!'
?: ...Is that what it meant? I thought it meant not to mix another one with another?
Everyone: Its the same thing you idiot!
Directors KW, Dark, Luke and Jet, along with the entire protagonist of the series were locked inside the main studio room as they tried to defend themselves with whatever was trying to get them with large tentacles.
KW: If we're gonna survive this, I say we get on with the story before there's no story to begin with at all!
Luke: Well I- *shoots his pistol at a tentacle* ...I hope you guys have a good tiem reading the next chapter of our series!

KW: Yeah- *shoots off his shotgun* ...if we're alive due to Jet over here!

Disclaimer: KW does not own Pokemon, but if he did, he would perhaps change a majority of the recent seasons so far! However, he does own his OC characters! Well, whoever is still alive, that is! Die you fudging worm! *shoots off his pistol* This was also inspired by the anime episode "Tentacool and Tentacruel."
After our heroes battled Lt. Surge, the Vermillion City Gym Leader, for the Thunder Badge, they had boarded the ship, the S.S. Anne, competing in the S.S. Anne Showdown Competition. When they boarded, they were met with hundreds of other Pokemon trainers from all over, ready to win the competition. When the first battle started, it was against a man named Richard and his Pokemon, Raticate, against another young trainer and his Starmie. Sadly, they were both defeated and Richard moved on to the next round. With luck on his side, Kidan was up next and won against a young lass girl trainer and her male Nidoran with his Pokemon, Swirl.
As all three advanced into the rounds, Sora was defeated by Richard's Raticate, just about making a comeback after his Squirtle evolved into a Wartortle. The semi-finals was up and it was against Kidan and Cealy as she chose to use Grace. With strategic moves and perfect timing, Kidan came on top as he faced Richard and his Raticate. Just when things were about falter for Kidan and Swirl, they were able to fight back when Swirl had used Body Slam, which both Cealy and Sora didn't even realize that he even knew.
However, during that time, Team Rocket agents, Darek and Chelse, had sneak onboard the boat with a handful of Team Rocket grunts, waiting for the competition to be over and then steal everyone's Pokemon for their boss. But when their plan had gone into action, Kidan, Cealy, Sora and everyone else onboard were able to fight back and win.
Now, after a night full of celebrating, our heroes had made it to Porta Vista island for a short break for themselves and their Pokemon. However, when on an island, you always find trouble around every corner.
"Blue skies..."
"White clouds..."
"And the ocean as far as you can see..."
Kidan, Cealy and Sora were all sitting on the edge of the docks as they were waiting for a boat to take them back to main land. They had spent at least a couple days on the island and had a great time. They all had gone swimming, eating at a restaurant and getting to train just a bit. But now that they had done everything they could, they were all now waiting to go back. However, their boat seemed to be taking quite a long time. Even Slice, Spree and Eevee were getting bored by sitting around.
Sighing, Kidan lays his back on the cement paved sidwalk and looks towards the clear blue sky. "We had to miss that boat!"
"We should have gotten here earlier," Cealy sighed in agreement.
"Now we have to wait another few hours before the next one," Sora replied laying his head on his hand looking out towards the ocean.
As they all complained, Slice spots something out in the ocean. 'Huh? Hey, do you guys see that?'
Looking over to what Slice was talking about, Spree and Eevee spotted the same object. 'Yeah, what is that?' Spree wondered curiously.
'Some type of floater or something?' Eevee tried guessing.
"What are you three looking at?" Cealy asked their Pokemon, noticing that they were talking about something. Pointing to what they were looking at, she tries to get a closer look at the unknown object. "Huh? Hey, it's a Horsea!"
"A Horsea? Where?" Kidan asked getting up and trying to spot it. Showing him where it was, he pulls out his PokeDex for more information.
"So Horsea is the Dragon Pokemon. It is known to shoot down flying bugs with precision blasts of ink from the surface of the water. It also makes it nest in the shades of corals, and if it senses danger, it spits murky ink and flees," Kidan read from the PokeDex before putting it away. "Hm, interesting Pokemon."
"Hey guys, look closely," Sora suggested to them both. "It looks like its injured for some reason."
Looking more closely, Sora was right. Horsea looked like it was bruised for some reason; from the eye all the way down with minor scars. It seemed that it was in a battle of some sort, but they weren't really sure.
"Great, and there's no Pokemon Center to take it too either," Cealy pointed out as she pulled out her pokeball. "Magic, go see what's up!"
Sending out Magic from his Pokeball, he swims over to the injured Horsea and asks what happened to it. To answer his question, as well as everyone's curiosity, Horsea shoots out some ink, creating two images from it. The first one looked like a type of fish with a couple of tentacles while the other looked like a bigger fish with more tentacles. Both of those pictures looked very familiar to them all somehow.
"I wonder if those pictures have to do anything with it being injured," Kidan wondered.
"That is possible," Cealy agreed. "I'll try to catch it with a pokeball to ask it ourselves."
Before she could try to attempt a capture on Horsea, a sudden minor earthquake was heard and felt throughout the island. Looking over across the ocean where a giant building was being constructed at, they see one of the boats that were just leaving the harbor blow up and sink.
"What the heck just happened?!" Sora exclaimed as everyone from the boat started to jump off and evacuate into the water.
"Don't know, but we have to give them a hand!" Kidan replied grabbing one of his pokeballs and tossing it.. "Swirl, we need your help!"
"Magic, help us with the survivors!" Cealy told her Pokemon who nodded in agreement.
"Wartortle, give us a hand too!" Sora shouted sending out his starter Pokemon into the ocean.
As Swirl and Wartortle emerged from their pokeballs, both of them, as well as Magic, all went as fast as they could to retrieve the survivors. Helping them one by one, Kidan, Cealy and Sora, who was driving a boat out to them all, pulled up beside them and helped the survivors onto the boat.
"You guys okay out there? What happened?" Kidan asked one of them, which a few of them were pretty stunned, literally.
"And who did this to you?" Cealy questioned too.
"The boss! I gotta tell the boss what happened!" One of the survivors replied, looking pretty shocked and feeling the effects of the paralysis from the attack.
Whatever attack the boat and the survivors made all three of them wonder. Who or what would do something like this? And why did it happened? With tons of questions in their heads, Sora took the boat back to the harbor to get the survivors the emergency attention they needed.
"I'm the boss, Nastina!" The older lady with orange hair told Kidan and the others, giving them a jump from shockness. "I understand you helped saved the men of my ship. Thank you very much. Ha ha ha!"
"U-um...you're very welcome," Kidan smiled nervously to her. The way she acted was pretty weird and a bit disturbing, considering she was very old. "I would like to ask; is there by any chance you have a boat that can take us to the main land?"
A moment of silence filled the room before Nastina replied, "you don't think you can get away that fast, do ya'?!" Giving them all a suprised expression, followed with a stray of nervousness and fear, she continued, "not until you seen my new resort!"
"Resort?" All three of them asked their expression softening.
Next to Nastina was a table with a large model of what she called the resort, a minor blueprint of what she was planning to build in the future. "It's not finished, but it will be spetacular! The world's biggest luxury resort!"
"Is that the resort over the ocean?" Cealy asked curiously.
"Yes, that's it! That's Nastina's Paradise Resort! A luxury hotel, a hotel to all end of all hotels! It will have tons of luxurious suites surrounded by the world's most beautiful coral reef," Nastina happily replied before anger took over, "but only if the stupid Tentacool stop interfering with my construction!"
"The Tentacool?" Kidan and Cealy asked.
"I get it. The Tentacool must have been the ones who had paralyzed your sailors," Sora concluded his hypothesis to Nastina and the others.
"Because of those Tentacool, all the tourist have been staying away from here," Nastina explained to them. "I don't know why those dispicable creatures even exist!"
Both Kidan and Cealy narrowed their eyes at her. The way she talked about those Pokemon was very cruel in their tastes. The first one to speak their minds was Cealy, who just let it all out.
"Excuse us, but did you say 'they're dispicable'?!" Cealy exclaimed in anger.
"They digust me! You can't even eat them, and they'll hurt my big profits!" Nastina angrily complained to them. "So I was hoping that the three of you might be able to take care of my little problem. Do you have the skill to handle a Tentacool extermination project?"
"What?" They all asked.
"Of course, I'll pay you all well!" Nastina said to them as her two men pulled the curtains away to reveal their prize. Each one were the most luxurious first class food and other rewards. "If you succeed, you'll get world class all-you-can-eat luxury dinner for a year, one million in cash and voucher for free for stays in the hotel! But first, you have to exterminate the Tentacool, every last one of them. Then I'll pay you the reward."
Not even noticing, Kidan's temper was beginning to build from that. A big bribe just to attack and hurt the Tentacool? All for that? That didn't work with him a bit. For personal reasons, he wasn't gonna allow that. Without even thinking, he walked up to her as he released his own tantrum.
"That is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard!" Kidan shouted at her sending her back a bit. "You're gonna bribe us with this just to get rid of Pokemon? Sorry, but find someone else to take care of it for you!"
With that, Kidan walks away in anger as Cealy and Sora followed him. Out of the two, Cealy knew why Kidan was fustrated, and he had good reason too. If he would have said nothing, she would have spoken the same thing. But Sora was the only one who didn't know, and he wondered why Kidan was all of a sudden angry at Nastina.
"Grr, there's a guy who can't be bought," Nastina mumbled in anger as she watched the trio walk out of the building.
"Kidan, wait up!" Cealy called to him as they were speed walking beside the docks. Spree was laying on top of her head wondering what was going on.
"What are you so mad about, dude?" Sora asked curiously trying to keep up. Eevee, who was on Sora's shoulder, was also wondering the same thing.
"Doesn't she make you sick?" Kidan mumbled angrily with Slice beside him looking at him in concern of his trainer. "She wants to destroy those Tentacool for selfish reasons!"
"We know that, but why get so worked up about it? You already declined to do it, so why let it bother you?" Sora asked him.
He stops and looks towards Sora for a moment. He forgot that he or Cealy never told him about anything from their childhood life, let alone the day of the that he might as well tell him, he took a deep breath and sighed. He then looks over to the ocean as he starts remembering some of his childhood memories. "When me and Cealy were little, we used to play with all the Pokemon in Pallet Town."
"One day, we were playing by the pond with some Poliwag, Magikarp, Staryu and Goldeen out back at Professor Oak's ranch. We were about five back then and we had alot of fun. We splashed and played with the wild Pokemon, enjoying it to the very least. But while we were playing, we spotted something off the edge of the pond. Curious, we and the ranch Pokemon all went over to see what it was. As we got closer, we found that it was a Tentacool, a baby one I might add. It was badly hurt and we never seen the Pokemon before, even if the pond was massive. Worried about it, we both took the baby Tentacool back to Oak and asked him for help. Luckily, we were able to help treat it in time. We watched as Oak treated Tentacool by any way that was possible. We were very worried for the injured baby Tentacool, cause we didn't know what would happen. Bu to our relief, Oak told us not worry and let it rest for a while. We were happy that it wasn't anything fatal, only some bruising.'
'So, for the next two months, we spent quite some time with the baby Tentacool. We took it out to play with us and the other Pokemon, we fed it, took naps with it, all kinds of stuff! We both loved the baby Tentacool, never leaving it out of our sights. My parents had told me to be careful about Tentacool, that they could paralyze you and injure you very badly. But we never listened, and the baby Tentacool never had any tension of doing any harm. Rather, it felt very comfortable and playful to us both! SO we nevered worried about it at the very slightest.'
'But one day, when we were playing outside, we were lucky to have the baby Tentacool around. While we were playing hide and seek, we somehow stumbled into a Beedrill's nest, filled with dozens of Kakunas. When three Beedrill came after us, we started running in fear, scared that they might attack us. When Cealy tripped and wasn't able to get up, I thought she was done for. As I tried to protect her, we were luckily saved by the baby Tentacool who we rescued as it used Supersonic and Poison Sting at the Beedrill, sending them back to their nest. We were very happy and thanked Tentacool for saving us. It truly trusted us and protected us from harms way. I will never forget what it did for us that day.'
'From that day forward, I knew that Tentacool weren't bad Pokemon. It just takes the patience and kindness to really know about other Pokemon before you can really judge them. Otherwise, you'll never truly understand them like you should. That's how me and Cealy were always taught and how we were able to have great Pokemon friends when we were little, even to this day."
"That's pretty much the reason why I didn't like Nastina talking about the Tentacool like that. She doesn't know what they're really like, and they wouldn't just attack random people for no reason," Kidan sternly said to Sora, remiscing the past for a moment. Alot of those memories he truly cherished for a long time, reminding himself countless times of the lessons and experiences he and Cealy ever went through, either together or apart.
Cealy could remember that day too. It was one of her own fondest memories she had with Kidan when they saved the baby Tentacool. Like him, she also didn't like how Nastina talked. They had learned that whenever a Pokemon ever attacks another person, there was always a reason. But the question was; what was the reason they were attacking? Something out of the attack wasn't making any sense.
Back at the spot where they were waiting for the next boat to arrive. They had left Swirl, Magic and Wartortle there with the injured Horsea they found earlier to make sure it was okay. Luckily, as they all arrived back, they found that Horsea was in a lot better condition than before.
"Horsea!" Cealy called out to it.
"Horsea, horsea!" The wild Horsea called back happily in the small pool with the other three Pokemon.
"How do you feel? You doing better?" Cealy asked it kneeling down beside it.
"It seems that the medicine is finally working then," Sora replied happily.
"Oh thank goodness you're doing better!" Cealy replied picking up Horsea and hugging it.
"You know, those two are really bonding it seems like," Kidan chuckled at the two, even though he knew the answer already.
"Horsea, horse," Horsea said to Cealy in a worried tone.
"What's the matter Horsea?" Cealy asked, not hearing what it said. Repeating, Horsea explained what it was trying to say earlier.
"What is Horsea saying?" Sora asked them both.
"Horsea said that the Tentacool had something to do with the boat destruction earlier," Kidan translated to him. "That was what it was explaining to us earlier by showing us those pictures with its ink."
Horsea nodded at Kidan's translation, happy that he heard it. But before it could continue, a doorbell sound was heard across the entire island, causing Horsea to be nervous.
"Attention all people in Porta Vista, listen up!" Nastina's voice was heard through the microphone poles.
"Nastina!" Kidan angrily shouted.
"Effecting immediately, I am recruiting volunteers to exterminate the Tentacool that are terrorizing our town!"
"Exterminate?!" Cealy shouted angrily as well.
"I will reward one million dollars to anyone who exterminates the Tentacool. Isn't Nastina generous?" Nastina asked with a laugh.
"Nastina will do anything to get rid of them," Sora said building up some anger of his own.
Kidan's anger was over the top. First she tries to bribe the three of them to exterminate the Tentacool, then she goes and asks the entire people in Porta Vista to help destroy them? That was too far, even for someone like her.
"Anyone who wants money-I mean, wants to help with the development of our town, coem to the harbor immediately!"
"She expects people to come out here for the money? That's absurd!" Cealy retorted with a huff.
But to prove her words wrong, they suddenly saw a full crowd of people running towards them and towards the harbors from the distance.
"I guess money works for them!" Kidan cried out in a half-joke.
Quickly as it could, Horsea jumps out of Cealy's arms before the entire stampede of people trampled them all. Wartortle, who was holding onto Magic, Swirl, Slice, Spree and Eevee all stood off to the side, avoiding the invading crowd as they watched their trainers being trampled underneath.
The entire crowd of people formed up around some type of war military tank as Nastina opens the hatch and looks over the people, holding a microphone to her mouth.
"Alright, which one of you is gonna win the one million dollar reward?" Nastina asked through the microphone as the crowd began to shout out that they would and what not. But before the shouting could even continue any further, a Poison Sting attack was seen hitting the edge of the tank's cannon, gaining Nastina's attention. "Who in the world did that?"
Standing in front of the large crowd were none other than Team Rocket agents themselves, Darek and Chelse, along with their Pokemon, Ekans and Oddish, gaining the people's attention as well.
"Allow us to introduce ourselves," Chelse replied to Nastina's question, "we are agents Chelse and Darek, advanced special ops of Team Rocket, and we've heard you've got some Tentacool problems."
"Those two got a lot of spunk," Nastina said in much interest.
"Yeah, I would like to know your definition of spunk," Kidan muttered underneath his breath with his anger rising at Team Rocket and Nastina.
"Darek, take a look at that woman's hair," Chelse pointed out to Nastina's red and orange hair.
"I have to say, that is very disastrous-," Darek replied in agreement but was then he, Chelse and their Pokemon was hit by a sudden explosion in front of them, sending them backwards and into the ground hard.
"I don't need your beauty test," Nastina angrily told them, "I need someone to get rid of the Tentacool!"
"Then you might wanna run through a beauty salon afterwards," Chelse muttered quietly, making sure not to let Nastina hear her. "We are terribly sorry for our cause of problems, Miss Nastina."
"Yes very sorry," Darek nervously apologized, "why don't you let the Tentacool extermination project to Team Rocket's top agents?"
"Heh heh, this crew just might pull it off," Nastina devious replied with a smile.
"We sure will, Miss Nastina," Chesle assured her in a matter of speaking.
"Sounds good, if you can exterminate the Tentacool completely, the million bucks is yours. Isn't Nastina generous?" She laughed with greed.
"Yes, yes, we heard you the first time," Chelse replied with a hint of annoyance.
"Just have the dough ready for us when we complete the task," Darek told her as they both got into a speed boat and drove towards to the construction site.
The looks on both Kidan and Cealy's faces were very sadden. For Team Rocket and as low as they could get, they only watched as they left to try and exterminate the Tentacool from existance. The pain in their hearts was kiiling them, as well as Sora and the rest of their Pokemon.
"Kyie, they're really gonna hurt them," Cealy muttered sadly, tears forming into her eyes.
"...I know Ceal," Kidan replied placing a hand on her shoulder for comfort. He wish he could do something about this and stop Team Rocket from hurting the Tentacool, even if they were guilty. But, however, he was completely powerless to do anything.
"Ha ha ha! We're gonna make a million!" Darek cheered greedly.
"And all just to exterminate some ugly fish," Chesle replied with the same expression.
"This will all be too easy, thanks to our Anti-Tentacool acid liquid," Darek said motioning over to a full wooden barrel that was in the back of the boat, filled with soem type of acid chemicals.
"We'll dump that barrel's chemicals into the ocean to weaken the Tentacool," Chesle started to explain. "Then we knab them and use them to make fish sushi out of them.
"Then we'll make even more money!" Darek cheered, both of them laughing as well as their respective Pokemon. But as they were cheering from their diabolical plan, the boat all of a sudden started to move backwards on them, much to their confusion. "What the world?"
"Why are we going backwards!?" Chelse exclaimed trying to make the boat go forward even faster. But nothing was working.
Darek looked over to the side of the speed boat, only to glimpse on the sight he wish he wasn't seeing. "I-I think I know why!"
Looking over as well, Chelse looked over to the boat as well to see the exact same thing Darek was studdering about. The color of her face had drained away in an instant.
"T-T-T-T-Tentacool!" They, along with their Pokemon, exclaimed in fear. They were all entirely surrounded by more than a few hundred Tentacool that had swarmed around the boat in an instant.
Back at the harbor, the people that were around saw the exact same thing from a distance. The large portion of Tentacool were seen popping out of the waters from that area, multiplying in the numbers each second had past.
"Why is there so many Tentacool all of a sudden?!" Sora exclaimed in concern.
"Dump the barrel! Dump the barrel!" Chelse exclaimed in fear to Darek.
"There's not enough if it!" Darek replied with the same feeling. "There must be at least over a thousand of them everywhere!"
One of the Tentacool that had its head out fo the water shot a red beam at Team Rocket's boat, destroying it in the process and sending Darek, Chelse and their Pokemon into the sky. But as the boat exploded, the barrel that was on the boat was sent flying on top of the attacking Tentacool. When it landed, a flash of white light emerged from the tank, as the Tentacool grew bigger and bigger, evolving into its next stage. Just like the Tentacool, it had a large blue head, black body, tentacles and a large blue beak from both sides of its body. That Pokemon was known as Tentacruel.
Turning around, the large Tentacruel swam towards the construction site on the island, gripping the entire site with its large tentacles, bending the constructed building with its powerful tentacles slowly.
"This is impossible! No Tentacruel should be any larger or taller than seven feet!" Sora exclaimed in awe and shock.
Pulling out his PokeDex, Kidan checked through his device for more information. He had never seen the evolved form of Tentacool before, so he had no idea what it could possibly do.
"A Tentacruel is the Jellyfish Pokemon, and the evolved form of Tentacool. The tentacles are normally kept short. On hunts, they are extended to ensnare and immobilize the prey. It has 80 tentacles that move about freely, and they also can sting, causing poisoning and sharp, stabbing pain," Kidan read from the device nervously looking bakc towards the large Tentacruel. "With it being that large, it must be the gang leader of the Tentacool."
Looking over to Nastina and her troops, Cealy's eyes widen. "Oh no, Tentacruel is in trouble!"
"How dare that thing crush my hotel! Commence fire!" Nastina ordered as her tank and her troops' rockets and cannon open fire, hitting Tentacruel in the head. However, as it made its target, there wasn't a single explosion or nothing. The missles and cannon had simply dented the Tentacruel's head just a bit all around it as it coldly glared directly at Nastina, who wasn't even infazed by its act.
"Leave my hotel alone you ugly creature!" Nastina shouted angrily at it. But before anything else could happen, a lage portion of Tentacool swarmed her and the tanks making their way into the city. "Ahh! Get off me!"
"Kidan, we gotta help Tentacruel!" Cealy exclaimed in concern watching the entire action taking place.
"I agree, Ceal, but it won't do us any good if we stand around here with that tidal coming! Now come on!" Kidan urged Cealy into following him and Sora making their way to higher grounds.
In a short few minutes, part of the island was quickly being engulfed by the massive tidal wave, sending tons and tons of Tentacool into the city with Tentacruel making a path for them to enter without any problem. It was devastating.
What made it worse was that Tentacruel had grabbed a hold onto a large chunk of the construction site's building piece as it tossed the chunk into Nastina's park resort, destroying the entire site in a single clash. That made Nastina even more angry. "Ouh! Its a good thing I got that place insured! That's the last straw Tentacruel, I'm coming after you!" But before she could do anything, a large wave made its way toeards her and smacking into her, her tank and troops, sending them away with the waves.
At the large viewing tower that was away from the city, Kidan, Cealy, Sora and most of the entire city watched from above wtinessing the destruction of their homes.
"So this what Horsea had warned us about! The Tentacool and Tentacruel were gonna attack the island!" Sora exclaimed in fustration.
"I don't understand! Why would they attack us? Now everyone is gonna be against them!" Cealy replied in much concern.
As Tentacruel and the Tentacool made its way towards the city, Tentacruel suddenly stopped as it produced a massive soundwave throughout the entire city. Making everyone confused by this, the large Tentacruel suddenly started to speak telepathically in their minds.
'We are Tentacool and Tentacruel, here and now!' The Tentacruel spoke to them all. 'The humans have destroyed our ocean home and now we will have our revenge!'
"How are they doing this?" Sora asked with awe.
"They must be using some type of sonic wave to communicate with us through our minds," Kidan guessed, not entirely sure how.
'Now we will begin destroying your homes throughout the world! We will destroy yours as you have foolishly had destroyed ours! And none of you has the right to complain about it!'
"I knew something was up!" Kidan exclaimed his anger building. "Their home must have been the coral reef that Nastina was working over! The construction was causing their homes to crumble under the water!"
Just as they were finally understanding the situation, Tentacruel's arm was seen ready to smash into them through the large window.
"Everyone get down!" Kidan as he tackled Cealy into the ground with Sora dodging to the other side.
Down below, Horsea was exclaiming to Tentacruel to stop attacking the innocent people and their homes. But Tentacruel wasn't gonna let it slide.
'It's too late, Horsea. I have trusted a few humans a long time ago, but these people have the nerve of destroying our own homes? This punishment will not slide!' Tentacruel replied to Horsea with its mind decided. 'We will show these humans the same pain we felt when our homes were all but dstroyed!'
'Tentacruel, don't do this! You are better than this! There are still humans who would want to help you! Please, turn back now or these people will hate you forever, and they will try to hurt you even more!' Horsea pleaded to Tentacruel, knowing its friend for so long. Its friend had told Horsea its story of when it was badly hurt, a couple of young kids brought it back to health. Tentacruel, who had been a baby Tentacool, loved the humans, gaining their trusts for years. But Horsea knew that, even though the humans had destroyed their homes, it didn't mean that they were all bad. There were still good in others like the two long ago. But Tentacruel wasn't seeing that clearly enough. Not with its anger built up.
'If you will not help us Horsea, then you have no place to be here! Your pleading will only strengthen these humans and with that, you must leave immediately, or suffer the consequences!' Tentacruel told Horsea.
But Horsea wasn't gonna back down. 'No Tentacruel, if anyone is gonna be the bad ones, it would be you who is the bad and spineless ones!'
'You're saying we're the spineless ones?! For that, you must be severely punished!' Tentacruel angrily replied raising its tentacle into the air as it smacked Horsea out of the sea and into the air.
"Oh no, Horsea!" Cealy cried out.
"Slice, go and help Horsea! Bring it back here!" Kidan told his Pokemon, who nodded and flew into the air with its bug-like wings. Quickly enough, using Agility and Quick Attack, Slice was able to grab Horsea in its bladed arms as he returned back to the others, giving the injured Horsea to Cealy.
"Great job, Slice!"
"Oh Horsea!" Cealy said wrapping the small Pokemon in her arms, trying to comfort it. In her arms, Horsea was badly shaking, terrified by Tentacruel's sudden attack and rampage. It never experienced something like that before in its life. "I'm so sorry, Horsea. You got beaten up and you did it for all of us humans. Thank you so much."
Touched by Cealy's careness, Kidan looked back towards the rampaging large Tentacruel and its Tentacool. The only way they could stop it was that if they can battle it. "Slice, you and the others ready for a fight?"
'Bring it on! That jellyfish is going down, big time!' Slice replied with much determination.
"Alright then. Char, Swirl and Psych, come on out!" Kidan called out tossing his pokeballs into the air as his Pokemon team emerged.
"Spree, Bulb, Grace and Magic, give them a hand!" Cealy shouted sending out her Pokemon as well.
"Eevee, Wartortle, Spearow and Nidorina, help them out too!" Sora finsiehd sending out his Pokemon aas well.
In the sky, the teams were Spree with Psych, Grace with Eevee and Spearow with Bulb. On the ground and water, Swirl, Magic and Wartortle took the water as Char, Slice and Nidorina took the land. All eleven of them were ready to fight as they approached the massive Tentacruel and the large portion of Tentacool.
'Whew! Talk about an army!' Wartortle half-joked, looking around at the sheer numbers they were up againsy.
'I'd say that all of these guys are gonna be easy picking!' Char replied with fire in his eyes, feeling the energy he needed to take them all on.
'Don't get too cocky guys. We have the large Tentacruel to deal with also,' Spree pointed from above. It was true. Even if they could defeat the Tentacool, they would be too worned out from fighting Tentacruel. This battle needed alot of strategy.
As if the battle had started, the Tentacool sharted to shoot red lasers from their gems trying to take down the flying Pokemon from above. But with quick manuevering and mobility, the six Pokemon were able to dodge them all with little problems. All of the Pokemon from the air, ground and sea began to attack with their own, hitting and taking down numbers and numbers of Tentacool by the dozen.
"Everyone, don't let those Tentacool get near to us! Send them back into the sea as much as you guys can!" Kidan shouted to them from the building. Nodding, all eleven Pokemon began to send the Tentacool back into the sea in numbers as they were mostly weakened from their attacks.
While the attack was going on, Kidan felt his arm jerk back behind him as he saw Cealy pulling him away from the crowd.
"Huh? What's up?" Kidan asked.
"Kidan, your not gonna believe who that Tentacruel is!" Cealy exclaimed in almost a whisper.
"Who?"
"It's the same Tentacool that we nursed back to health all those years ago!"
"What?! But that can't be the same one, could it?" Kidan asked in total shock.
"Well, from what Horsea had told me, Tentacool had left Pallet Town to go find his friends and family," Cealy explained to him. "But it never did, so it went to find another home. Thats when it met Horsea here. He felt bad for Tentacool and brought him to his home, here in Porta Vista. Over the years, Tentacool had grown up here with Horsea and gained alot of friends, and was practically family with the other Tentacool."
"But why would Tentaco-I mean, Tentacruel start to attack the humans?" Kidan asked, even if he had a hunch as to why.
"Before Nastina came in with her construction, Tentacool loved the humans. Evr since it met us, it had a close relation with the people of Porta. It wanted to meet them all and gain a valued trust with them all, just like us. But when she arrived, everything changed. Tentacool started to see the bad ways of humans and thought that it had been lied to by the people. With a change of heart, it started to hate everyone here and never came by to greet them all. Thats why Tentacruel is attacking us, because of Nastina's greed!"
"Nastina..." Kidan growled at her name. Ever since they came to the island, all she did was make trouble to everyone and every Pokemon. And now, learning that the Tentacruel is the same Tentacool that he and Cealy helped back then, that made it even worse. He knew that they both needed to talk to Tentacruel somehow, and make it calmer and happier again. "We need to figure out a way to get Tentacruel to hear us."
"That's what I was thinking," Cealy agreed. "Come on, follow me!"
Nodding, Kidan followed Cealy and Horsea to whatever they were taking him as the attack from below was still going on.
'You are all Pokemon, why are you siding with the bad and decievious humans?' Tentacruel said to Kidan's and the others Pokemon who were battling. Taking action, Tentacruel striked at them all with its tentacles, causing major damage to them. Just as Magic was sent flying backwards into Slice and Char, it started to flail uncontrollably.
'Dang! That was strong!' Slice replied in much pain.
'I guess this is the part you guys say, 'I told you so?' ' Char weakly joked, gaining a painful sting on his side.
Magic, who was flailing hopelessly and with more strength than the others, tried to get back to the water. But it was no use. No matter how hard Magic tried, he wasn't able to get anywhere close enough. From battling to training, he wasn't gonna able to help his friends. He had now giving up and just laid there on the broken groudn beneath.
He was totally worthless.
But then, remembering something from a while ago, he had a quick flash back when they were training a couple days ago by the beach.
"No matter how many times it takes, you will be a strong Pokemon! You will never be weak, worthless or untrainable to me. No matter what, you are my best friend."
Suddenly gaining back the courage he needs, he looks up to the Tentacruel who had been attacking his friends from left to right for the past few minutes. With much energy, he felt something inside him feel fuzzy. When he tried to figure out what it was, he suddenly started to glow.
Bakc towards the others, Spree and Psych had just been brought down a third time after trying to attack Tentacruel head on. But now that they were even more weak, they didn't have the strength to fight back.
'Though you are Pokemon, if you take the humans side, you are our enemy!' Tentacruel told them as it raised its tentacle for another attack. Looking up to it, they saw that they were permanetly done for as they clsoed their eyes completely. But before they could do a single thing, a large blue beast emerged from the water and in front of the attacking Tentacruel, blocking its attack.
'Who dares to interfere our revenge?' Tentacruel demanded.
'You will not hurt my friends anymore!' The large blue beast told Tentacruel.
"What Pokemon is that?" Sora wondered as he pulled out his own PokeDex for information. "Gyarados is the Atrocious Pokemon. In ancient literature, there is a record of a Gyarados that razed a village when violence flared. Rarely seen in the wild and being huge and vicious, it is capable of destroying entire cities in a rage," he read as he put his device away. "This is gonna be fun."
'Magic?' The Pokemon asked simultaneously, shocked at what Magic had become.
'You dare to side with these devious human? Tentacruel coldly shouted at Magic.
'Humans are our friends and are like our families!' Magic tried to tell it. 'Sure some of them are mean, but that doesn't mean they're all bad!'
'Why do you side with them?! They done nothing but destroyed everything we have!'
'If anyone is gonna be accused for destroying anything, it's gonna be you and your Tentacool!'
You shall be punished!' Tentacruel said as it prepared for another attack. Gyarados, or Magic, stood its ground as it braced itself for an all out attack. However, he didn't have enough energy for another attack like Tentacruels, and wouldn't able to fight back. Fearign the worse, he had to embrace it.
But what they all heard next suprised them all.
"Please stop Tenta!"
"You don't have to fight anymore!"
Hearing those familiar voices, Tentacruel and all the other Pokemon looked over to who was calling it. On top of a broken building was Kidan, Cealy and Horsea, calling right out to it. Getting a better look at them, Tentacruel's eyes began to widen, seeing those familiar faces from long ago. It was the two who had raised it back to health from when it was just a baby Tentacool. His memories started to flush out as he got a bit closer to the two.
'Kidan? Cealy?' Tentacruel asked softly with its anger softning up.
"Tenta, please, stop fighting and send them all back into the ocean!" Cealy said to her childhood Pokemon friend.
"Kidan? Cealy?" Sora thought out loud in suprise, not eevn realizing that they had left the tower at all.
"Please Tenta, listen to us. This is enough. We, and all the humans understand that we had hurt you," Kidan tried to reason with it. "We know that we had destroyed your home, and we are very sorry for it."
'But you two didn't do anything. It was these people who had destroyed our home!' Tentacruel angrily pointed to the people of Porta Vista.
"We know, Tenta," Cealy replied to it. "And we understand what that is like. You were so use to us when we were younger and had many friends and family who lived with you, here in the coral reefs of Porta. And we know that some of them had destroyed your homes. But not everyone is like that."
"There are still good humans like us and everyone else back in Pallet Town, all over the world. They would never hurt you in harms way, not in the slightest! And we all don't want to fight you anymore. As your friends, we are truly sorry about your home and wished that we can help you in anway. We're begging you, please, stop this fighting and return back into sea. Do it for us, would you?" Kidan pleaded to his childhood Pokemon friend.
A few moments of silence was only heard as Tentacruel had pondered. It knew that its friends, Kidan and Cealy, were actually right. There are still many good humans around the world and knew that they didn't deserve this kind of punishment, not at the very least. Yet, it had taken its own revenge upon the people of Porta who had treated it and its friends and family very good for years. He needed to make a decision now or never.
What seemed like forever, Tentacruel nodded. 'Very well. Since you two were my first friends and had taken me in to heal, I will follow your wishes. However, if this ever happens again, we shall not stop. Agreed?'
Kidan and Cealy sighed in relief and nodded in agreement. Nodding back, Tentacruel recalled and sent back its Tentacool family and friends back into the ocean, leaving the city and the humans alone. But before it could leave the city, Nastina had emerged from the rubble right behind Tentacruel.
"You think you can get away that easy, do ya'? I don't think so! Take this!" Nastina shouted as she shot another missle from a bazooka as it headed for Tentacruel.
"Tenta, look out!" Cealy cried out in concern.
But as it hit Tentacruel, it seemed to do the same thing like last time; bouncing off of Tentacruel's head and leaving a dent. Feeling the missle, it turned around and glared deadly at Nastina from below.
"I'll capture ya' and throw you into a tank with all the other Tentacool!" Nastina shouted launching a few more rounds of missles at Tentacruel, not doing anything to it. Enraged even more, she tries to gun it down with mini machine guns, trying to take down the large Pokemon. "East lead ugly squid!"
"She really doesn't know when to quit, does she?" Sora asked as he ran out fot he building to try and stop Nastina.
"Come on, you big jellyfish, I'll show ya'-ahh!" Nastina was suddenly sent backwards as she picked herself up after a sudden explosion and a squirt into the face. She takes out a small mirror from her pocket and looked at her face throught he reflection. "Ah! Overgrown squirts!"
"What the heck is the matter with you Nastina?" Cealy asked her angrily.
"Don't you realize that what your doing isn't right? You're bringing pain and suffering to both humans and Pokemon! We don't need to be fighting each other!" Kidan angrily shouted at her as Horsea complied with the same expression. Magic, who was carrying both Kidan and Cealy on top of his head, gave out a loud obnoxious and fearful cry at her with his eyes narrowed at her. The look on Magic's face was enough to scare the likes of everyone, perhaps Team Rocket.
"Why you stuck up little brats!" Nastina angrily said when she was being shadowed by Tentacruel who was looming over her. The look on its face was confusing, not knowing what was happening.
"Tenta?" They both blinked wondering what was going on. Even Horsea had no idea what Tentacruel was gonna do.
"Well, Tentacruel, I'm glad to see your wise enough to come over to my side," Nastina laughed deviously. "Now why don't you and me go into business together?"
Having enough of Nastina's talk and nonesense, it raised its large tentacle into the air and smacked it at her, sending her shouting and flying into the clear blue sky as she disappeared from sight.
Sora, who was just coming over to help, saw Nastina flying away and disappearing into the sky. the sight of that made him smile greatly. "So long Nastina!"
"That will teach you not to mess with the Pallet duos!" Kidan proudly shouted at her as Cealy stuck her tongue out to wherever she was. Turning their attentions back to Tentacruel, they saw it had raised its tentacle at them, sticking it out to them in a sign of friendship. Smiling, they both took hold of its tentacle and shaked.
"So long Tenta," Cealy replied softly.
"Make sure to find a good home with your friends," Kidan said to it, earning a nod in return.
Taking its leave, Tentacruel, along with the rest of the Tentacool, went back into the ocean and away from the remaining standing city and people. Watching their old Pokemon friend leave once again, hurt them both. They were finally able to meet their old friend once again, but only to say goodbye for a second time.
"Goodbye, Tenta," Cealy muttered softly with tears forming into her eyes as she sadly smiled. Feeling a hand placed on her shoulder, she looked at Kidan who softly smiled at her.
"Don't worry Ceal. I'm sure we'll see Tenta again one day," he assured her as they both turned their attention back to the ocean where the last of the Tentacool had vanished under the water. Taking a moment to think about it, Cealy nodded her head.
"...Yeah, I'm sure as well," Cealy smiled in agreement.
On the next day after the entire incident with the Tentacruel, Tentacool and Nastina, the city had already begun rebuilding the city, much to everyone's relief. From what everyone knew, the city was just partially destroyed by the Pokemon, which meant that the rest of the city was just a bit flooded, but nothing too serious. That bit of news gave the people of Porta Vista a big relief and load off their shoulders.
At the evening of the day, Kidan, Cealy and Sora were finally able to get a boat ride back to the main land. They, along with their three Pokemon, watched as they left the port of Porta Vista as Kidan and Cealy had explained that the Tentacruel that had attack was their old childhood Pokemon friend.
"Wow," Sora replied in awe, "who would have guess that was the same baby Tentacool you two healed back then."
"Well, Tenta ain't much of a baby anymore," Cealy said to him. "Now its a full grown Tentacruel, already in charge of all the other Tentacool."
"Tenta really grew up, that's a fact," Kidan smiled as he could remember the days of having baby Tentacool everyday. So much had past then and it was a bit sad, but happy as well. "So Cealy, what are you gonna do with Horsea?"
"I thought it over for some time, and I have the perfect solution," Cealy responded to him. "You guys remember that my cousin Misty and her sisters have a water aquarium back at the gym, right?"
"Yeah I remember. I was actually down there when I went to the gym to face her. What about it?"
"Well, considering that she raises all Water-type Pokemon, I figured that I could sent Horsea over to her so she can take care of him," Cealy replied. "After all, Horsea needs much fresh and salt water, and who knows when we'll get another chance like this again. So I concluded that leaving him there for now to be happy would be the best decision."
"That's a great idea, Cealy," Sora said to her in agreement. "I'm sure your cousin is gonna appreciate it."
"Me too," Cealy giggled as she looked down to Horsea who was in her arms the whole time. "What do you think Horsea? Would you like to do that?"
Not even a few seconds to decide, Horsea cried out happily in response. The thought of meeting new friends and swimming around in a large pool and what not would be amazing for him.
"Then I guess it's decided," Cealy chuckled.
"I still can't believe Magic evolved into Gyarados too," Kidan had remembered just now. After so much drama yesterday, he had almost forgotten about Magic's evolution, "It seems that all your hard work had paid off finally."
"Yeah me too," Cealy nodded. "I always known that Magic had the energy to pull it off, and I was right. Now I got a powerhouse Pokemon with lots of strength and skill. The next gym better be ready, cause we're gonna blow away the entire field with our Pokemon teams!"
As the three trainers were chatting, Slice, Spree, Eevee, as well as Horsea who had left his trainer to talk, all watched the sunset go down as they all waited to get back to the main land. Even though today was pretty tough and exhausting, their next destination might not be as easy as it could have been today. And who knows, perhaps Kidan and Cealy might indeed meet with their Pokemon friend one day. I guess time will only tell...
