Chapter 16: The Snoring Snorlax

As Dark and Luke were walking down the hallway and getting ready for their lunch break, they heard shouts coming from the Writer's room. Curious about what was going, they headed towards the room where they saw both playign some game on their Nintendo 3DS's.

Luke: What the heck are you two shouting about this time?

KW: Uh, the new Pokemon games Omega and Alpha.

Jet: Duh!

Dark: But aren't those suppose to come out until next Friday?

KW & Jet: Yep!

Luke: Then how the heck did you guys get these then? Doing it illegaly?

KW: That, my dear cousin, is something that you shall have to find out yourself.

Dark: ...It has something to do with you two breaking into a warehouse in the middle of the night and stealing the Pokemon games with the guards knocked out, doesn't it?

KW & Jet: ...Maybe.

Luke: ...Lets just get this over with. We all hope you enjoy the next chapter after a couple of weeks being gone.

Dark: We are teribly sorry for the delay on the story. But we are now bakc on track and are starting to write the next chapters as we speak.

Jet: So please, give us your support by reviewing and either fave or following our story.

Brett: And we hope you all have a wonderful day/night, and we shall see you soon. Disclaimer please?

Disclaimer: KW does not own Pokemon, but if he did, he would perhaps change a majority of the recent seasons so far. However, he does own his OC characters.

Previously on Pokemon Adventures; Our heroes, Kidan, Cealy and Sora had previously participated in a competition, known as the S.S. Anne Showdown, taking place out at sea on a cruise boat. Kidan, who had won the competition, along with his friends, were rewarded and thanked after a plot from Team Rocket had taken place onboard, trying to take everyone's Pokemon. In the end, they defeated their agents, Darek and Chelse, as well as their small teams and saved everyone and their Pokemon from being taken.

A few days after, our heroes had travelled to Porta Vista for some training and relaxation. While they were waiting for another boat to arrive, they met with a wild Horsea, who was trying to warn them of a terrible disaster that was to come. When they met Nastina, who was building her hotel far out of the island and into what she called a 'tropical paradise', she wanted them to find and exterminate the local Tentacool that seemed to be causing trouble. Declining, rather angrily, the others left with a fustrated and angry Kidan. Wondering why he was so upset, Kidan told Sora about a baby Tentacool he and Cealy saved years ago when they were kids and could never think of Pokemon like it so bad.

But everything changed when Team Rocket came in and offered to exterminate them themselves for the one million dollar reward. However, failing, Team Rocket was defeated and one of the Tentacool had evolved into a massive Tentacruel, wreaking havoc in the local harbors and city on the island. Trying to battle it, Magic had evolved in a powerful Gyarados, after watching his being hut on by one.

But before things got too our of hand, Kidan, Cealy and Horsea begged it to stop, realizing that the Tentacruel was the same baby Tentacool they brought back to health all those years ago as kids. Listening to their pleas, Tentacruel stopped the attack and agreed to leave the people alone, not after sending Nastina away from Porta Vista for good. Once they got a ride back to the main land, Cealy had sent her cousin, Misty, her Horsea to the Cerulean Gym in order to be taken good care of. In turn, Misty was delighted to take care of it, considering she loved Water-type Pokemon as well as being a Water-type Gym Leader.

Now, after some needed rest at the Pokemon Center in Vermillion, Kidan, Cealy and Sora continue their journey as they make their way to Saffron City in order to claim their fourth badge.

"Ah! Feels good to be travelling again!" Kidan exclaimed stretching his arms out in the air, taking in the fresh air around them. Slice, who was walking beside him, did the same as well, taking in the sweet fresh air as they all walked.

"Its only been a few days, but it feels like forever," Cealy replied as Spree was perched happily on top of her head, blocking out the sun from Cealy's eyes.

"Alot can happen when you take a short break from travelling," Sora said with Eevee sat on his shoulder, rubbing against his cheek affectionately, causing him to chuckle.

As they made their way towards their next route, they heard a soothing and amusing song up ahead. Not sure what it was, they continued to walk towards where they heard that wonderful sound. As they got closer and closer, they saw an old man perched on a large boulder, playing some type of flute. It looked like any regular flute, but instead, it had a pokeball shape ball on the end of the flute. He had a bold head with whit bushy eyebrows with a vanilla white buttoned shirt on with long grey pants and brown shoes.

The soft and beauitful music sounds had caused Slice, Spree and Eevee to fall in a wonderful trance as they all swayed back and forth from the music notes that was each played.

All of them walked up to him as he continued to play the harmonic music. The way the music played was fascinating and a feeling of happiness. Just a flute playing that was really something. The Pokemon didn't seem so distubred by the music as well. They seemed to just sway back and forth, feeling very relaxed and entertained. Once the old man stopped playing the flute, all of them clapped, showing that they really enjoyed the man's performance.

"That was some music there, sir," Kidan complimented.

"I never heard such a soothing song before," Cealy replied to him.

"Are you a musician of some sort?" Sora asked the old man.

"No, not at all," the old man replied to them. "I just been playing this Poke' Flute as long as I can remember. It helps soothe the stress and bad days whenever I hear the melody of the song."

"What type of song was it?" Kidan asked.

"Actually," the old man started to say before chuckling in embarrassment, "I seem to have forgotten." All three of them, including their Pokemon fell down in an anime style after.

"W-Well, it was still good nonetheless," Cealy sweatdropped witha nervous chuckle.

"Why thank you, my dear," the old man replied with a smile. "I use to play this music for my grandchildren and Pokemon all the time. And I still do sometimes."

"Well, for what its worth, we really enjoyed it," Kidan said to him.

Thanking him for his kind compliment, the old man started to study the three trainers and their Pokemon. Confused by his expression, the old man spoke up. "You three wouldn't happen to be Pokemon trainers, would you?"

"We sure are! I'm Kidan Hikura, and this is my partner, Slice," Kidan introduced himself with Slice waving his bladed arm at the old man politely.

"My name is Cealy Seriea, and this Pokemon here is Spree," Cealy said pointing up to Spree who was still on her head. Spree flapped her wings happily in response.

"And my name is Sora Eclipse, and this here is my Pokemon, Eevee," Sora finished introducting as Eevee cried out in her language happily.

"Nice to meet all of you. My name is Mr. Fugi," Mr. Fugi introduced himself politely.

"So is there a reason why you asked us that we're trainers?" Kidan asked curiously.

"Indeed. You see, not far from here, a small village is layed out between Vermillion City and Lavender Town, which is my home," Mr. Fugi explained. "The village helps supply tons of food for Lavender and Vermillion for generations. But lately, something has been happening around the village."

"What do you mean?" Sora asked him.

"Come with me, and I will show you what I mean," Mr. Fugi motioned them as he jumped off the walk and led the three trainers and their Pokemon to the village.

As Mr. Fugi led them towards the village, they all noticed something wrong with the water stream that should be flowing through the river beside them. It was pretty big and must be the main source the village was getting their fresh supply of water from. But the river itself was just about dried up. The water that had once flowed through the river was just a tiny little stream of water, almost dried out as well. Mr. Fugi explaiend ot them that its been like this for weeks now and no one is sure why that is.

But when they got into the village, it was far worse. The crops that were layed out from the village were also dried out, with no plants growing properly. Rather, the plants that had sprung had all but deteriated or shrivelled up. As for the markets and bakeries, even the small restaurants, they were all but closed due to the lack of food they had. Even bread wasn't available from anywhere.

This was probably the worse thing anyone could ever go through.

"Like I said, this problem has been going on like this for weeks now," Mr. Fugi sadly explained. "i had come to visit the village myself to find the problem, but I couldn't find a single clue as to what was going on."

"This is just aweful," Cealy replied sadly, feeling a great feel of guilt and pity for the village.

"Why would the water just suddenly vanish like this? It makes no sense," Sora wondered out loud trying to come up with a solution.

Kidan, who had been quiet and studying the plants and river, finally speaks up with a decision. "Mr. Fugi, you leave this mystery to us. We'll try to find the soultion to this. No matter what, right guys?"

"Mmhm," Sora replied with a determined look.

"You can count on us, Mr. Fugi," Cealy agreed as well.

"Thank you children," Mr. Fugi thanked them gratefully. "If you have anything you need from me or the village, please come back and ask us."

"We sure will. Come on guys, lets go take a look around," Kidan motioned his friends as they started to follow the river bank that lead through the woods.

Trecking through the dirt trail beside the empty river bank, they kept their eyes out to see if they could spot anything unusual around. So far, they weren't havign any luck whatsoever. But as they ventured deeper and deeper into the woods, they noticed something in the river. The more they were inside the woods, the more water there seemd to be, but only by a small touch each. As they reached deep enough into the woods, they all stopped when they saw something huge blocking their path, as well as the river.

"What the heck?" Kidan wondered as he and the others stared at what seemed to be overgrown green vines that had spikes sticking out of them. The vines were large and all over the place, creating a spiky blocked path in front of them and the river. "What's up with the large prickly vines?"

"Not sure, but they seem to be in our way," Sora replied seeing that their path was cut off from them.

"So what do we do?" Cealy asked them both.

Pondering, Kidan looks around the vines before approaching it cautiously. He taps one of the large prickly vines with his finger, making sure not to be poked in the process. Getting whatever answer he needed, he looks back over to the others.

"We go through," he replied simply to them, causing them all to sweatdropped in turn.

"Nice plan, but we can't," Cealy replied to him with now a small sweatdropped. "The vines are in the way."

"That's exactly my point," Kidan smiled earning himself a confused look from them all. "Let me put it like this; we need to get over there, right? And these are in our way, correct?"

"Yeah?" They all replied back still confused.

"Well, we just have to cut them down to get through," Kidan said showing off a knowing smile. "Our Pokemon can cut through the vines, earning us a pathway to the other side!"

"That's actually a good plan," Cealy replied to him now thinking about the idea.

"That's what I thought," Kidan said back to her as he look over to Slice. "Think you can cut through these vines, bud?"

'Can do! These blades were made for these kind of situations, after all!' Slice replied back as he started slashing down the vines one by one, earning themselves a medium sized pathway to the other side.

With no other option to go with, they all crawled their way through the vines while Slice took the lead ahead of them, cutting down the vines that were in his path. Cealy, who was right behind Kidan, had suddenly cut herself from one of the vine's spikes on her right shoulder. "Ow!"

"You alright, Ceal?" Kidan asked looking back at her in concern.

"Yeah, I'm okay," Cealy replied feeling the sting from the cut. "Not enjoying the prickly vines, though."

"We're almost there," Sora said to them both. "It shouldn't be that much longer."

Agreeing, they continued their way through the vines as Slice had finally finished clearing a path for them all to get through. Reaching the end, Kidan got out first before Slice and went to help Cealy and Sora out of the hole, brushing themselves off from the dirt they crawled through.

"I hope this was all worth it," Sora muttered as he saw his clothes a bit torn from the spikes.

"I hope so too," Kidan said seeing that he had some torns in his clothes as well. " Hopefully the pathway ahead will have our answers."

After burshing themselves off and making sure their clothes were still usable, they contiued on through the path that they had followed. With their predictions correct, they noticed more water on this side of the vines rather than the other side. But it was still not enough. Something else must be blocking the river bank somewhere up ahead.

And if they weren't right before, they were pretty much right now. As they kept following the river bank and the dirt trail, they soon noticed something up ahead. Curious and possible a clue to what is going on with the river, they get closer and closer to whatever object was up ahead. After reaching a certain point, they realized what it was. It was very large and fat with big chubby arms and big, rounded and flat feet. Its head was just a third of its body with two spiky ears on its head for ears. It had a vanilla white colored stomach, feet and face with a blue colored body everywhere else. That Pokemon was known as Snorlax.

"What...the heck is that?" Sora stared at the large Pokemon with wide eyes. "Its huge!"

"It's a Snorlax!" Cealy awed at it.

Pulling out his PokeDex, Kidan scanned the Pokemon for data and information. "So Snorlax is the Sleeping Pokemon. It is never satisfied unless it eats over 800 pounds of food every day. When it is done eating, it goes promptly to sleep. Its stomach can also digest any kind of food, even if it happens to be moldy and rotten," Kidan read with a slight shiver at the last bit of info. "That...is disgusting."

"What in the world is a Snorlax doing here?" Sora asked staring at it while it was snoring in its sleep.

"It must have wondered around here somehow," Cealy shrugged guessing the answer.

Examining Snorlax's surroundings, he noticed something behind it. Curious, he walks around the large Pokemon to see what it was laying behind. When he got close enough, he was suprised. Running right behind Snorlax's large back was the water flow for the river. He now knows why the village was having water and food shortage, because of Snorlax, its been blocking their own produce of the two things. That explains why the water flow wasn't flowing through the river like it should.

"Guys, your not gonna believe what Snorlax is laying against," Kidan called to them as he just stared at the blocked water flow.

Coming up to him, they and their Pokemon stood next to him to see what he was talking about. When they saw the same thing, they were all suprised.

"So it was Snorlax who's been blocking the water flow!" Cealy exclaimed with disbelief.

"But why would it do that? With it being blocked, its causing the village to starve!" Sora replied not figuringout why it would do that.

"Remember what the PokeDex said?" Kidan questione his friend. "It goes promptly to sleep after being satisfied with eating. It must have been eating and then accidentally fell asleep right in front of the river flow."

"Well at leats we solved that problem," Cealy said to them a bit relief, "but what do we do now? We can't just move Snorlax on our own, he's too big. Not to mention, he's eight hundred pounds!"

"Yeah, your right," Kidan agreed as he thought for a solution. With really nothing to do, he just came up with something pretty basic. "Maybe if we're loud enough it'll wake up and move?"

"Worth a shot," Sora replied with a shrug.

After coming up with a few ideas to wake Snorlax, the first thing they all did was call out its name and shaking it awake.

"Snorlax, wake up!" Kidan called to Snorlax shaking its head.

"Time to get up!" Cealy replied shaking the side of Snorlax's body.

"Wake up, big guy!" Sora said shaking the other side of Snorlax.

In the middle, Slice and Eevee were hopping up and down on Snorlax's stomach, hoping to cause it stir awake from the action they were both doing. For Spree, she tried to tickle Snorlax awake on the feet, trying to cause it to laugh from its slumber. However, all their atempts on it were failing.

"That didn't work," Kidan sighed a bit annoyed.

"It just won't wake up," Cealy complained somewhat.

"Well then...we'll have to move it," Sora suggested to them all.

"You do realize that Snorlax weighs alot more than all of us combine, right?" Cealy deadpanned causing Sora to sweatdrop.

"Oh...right, hehe," Sora chuckled in embarrassment. It was true anyway. Snorlax was too heavy to much by themselves, even with their Pokemon, they wouldn't be able to budge the sleeping Snorlax. "Any other ideas?"

"Maybe we can try to catch it inside on of our pokeballs?" Cealy suggested after thinking of some ideas of her own.

"Can't hurt to try," Kidan replied as he pulls out one of his empty pokeballs from his pocket. Facing the slumbered Pokemon, he throws the ball directly at it. "Alright, lets go!"

As the ball flies towards Snorlax, it became useless afterwards. As it landed, the pokeball hit the side of Snorlax's stomach part, only to be bounced off like a rubber balloon.

"That's just great," Kidan sighed with a sweatdrop, "not even a pokeball can do anything to it."

"We got to move it, otherwise the village will be out of food and water for a long time," Cealy said with concern in her voice.

In fustration, Kidan shouted out loud, "Snorlax, wake up! You need to move right now! Come on!"

Meanwhile, behind a patch of tall bushes, Darek and Chelse had been spying on the three trainers and their Pokemon for sometime as they watched them all try to wake up Snorlax. Apparently, they had some ideas of their own.

"That Snorlax could be a pretty powerful Pokemon for the boss," Chelse said to Darek.

"Moves like Mega Punch, Mega Kick or Hyper Beam attack would make it a powerhouse in the boss' organization," Darek replied back. "The boss would surely forgive us if we send him something like this."

"Then lets get in there," Chelse grinned deviously with Darek following suit as they made their way towards Kidan and the gang to make their own attempts to capture it.

"So what do we do now?" Sora asked them all, not really knowing what to do at this point.

But his question was answered as he heard a voice from behind. "You can stay out of our way and let us deal with the Snorlax." Turning around, they saw Team Rocket agents, Darek and Chelse, along with their two Pokemon, Ekans and Oddish standing next to them. The sight of the four caused Slice, Spree and Eevee on high alert, knowing what they would possibly do.

"What are you losers doing here?" Kidan narrowed his eyes at the two duos.

"What else, of course," Chelse simply stated as if it was a simpel question to answer. "We're here for Snorlax."

"Since you three can't even wake Snorlax up, we're here to do your work for ya'," Darek explained to them. "Besides, you all want Snorlax out of here right? So if we take Snorlax away, the ghostly towned village back there will be back to its original state, right?"

Even if they all didn't want to admit, Team Rocket were right. They aren't able to wake up Snorlax and get it to move from the river bank. And since Team Rocket want to get Snorlax, they would be helping the town out as well, even if tey were taking Snorlax along the way.

Reluctantly, Kidan agreed. "Alright, you two win. So how do you expect to move Snorlax in its sleeping state?"

"Like this," Chelse replied as she held a controller in her hand, pushing a button on the top of it. Wondering why she did that, they were answered as a half dozen tow cables came down from the sky and right on top of Snorlax. Suprising them all, they looked up to see a grey hot-air balloon floating above them all.

"What are those things?" Cealy asked in suprise.

"Those would be our Project Flying Slumber," Darek replied. "These cable will be used to latch onto Snorlax and pick it right up from its sleeping spot and into the air. Once that happens, the rivr bank should be pouring out the village's precious water in seconds."

"I hate to help them," Kidan said to his friends and Pokemon feeling some guilt. "But if this means they get Snorlax out of the way and saving the village, then I'm in."

"So am I," Cealy agreed, having the same feeling.

"Then lets give them a hand," Sora replied with the others nodding.

Quickly as they could, they all each attached a cable around Snorlax's legs and arms as the cable claws snapped tight around them. Making sure they were all secured, Chelse made on last expection around Snorlax before hitting the button on the controller as the ballon started to hoist Snorlax up very slowly, just by centimeter after centimeter. It seemed to have worked at first, since the water was just starting to flow a bit more after very centimeter, but that all failed when they all heard a snap.

Confused as to what that noise was, they noticed that one of the cables had snapped suddenly as it came crashign down in front of them all, causing them to step back a bit. But that didn't end there as one by one, all the cables started to snap, crashing down into the ground and causing the hot-air balloon to be send crashing down into the forest, leaving nothing but a big puff of dust in the distance.

"Well, we thought that would work," Darek sweatdropped in embarrassment as Chesle was just fustrated that her 'brilliant' plan had failed on them.

"So much for that idea," Cealy deadpanned.

"I should've known that this plan wouldn't work, considering that it was Team Rocket," Kidan sighed in annoyance, causing Darek and Chelse to get angry.

"What the heck does that mean?!" Chelse growled at him.

"I'm just speaking the truth," Kidan shrugged a bit, speaking as if it was so simple.

"Nothing makes me more angry than being told the truth!" Darek growled in irritation.

'So now what?' Slice asked them all, tryign to change the topic.

"We'll have to just keep trying," Kidan replied with determination as he and the others started to form new ideas.

The first thing Kidan and the gang did was use an alarm clock on Snorlax. Since alarm clocks were able to wake mostly everyone up in the mornings, they thought that it might just work on the slumbering Pokemon. However, that didn't seem to faze the large Pokemon one bit, which meant that their first idea failed.

The nex idea was where Darek had a bucket of water that he gained from Kidan's Swirl after using Water Gun on him at first before realizing that they were all working together for once. Having much confidence that it should work, considering it was pretty cold, he threw the water at Snorlax, soaking it from the top to the bottom. And yet, it still wasn't enough to wake Snorlax.

At that moment, however, Chelse got a new idea.

"I've got it!" Chelse exclaimed at her next 'brilliant' idea. "In the story, 'Sleeping Beauty', the sleeping princess was awaken by a noble prince from just a single kiss."

"That's it!" Darek replied in agreement. "Snorlax just might wake up with a kiss from a noble Pokemon."

Pondering for a moment, Kidan and the others agreed. "That just might work. It's worth a shot, at least," Kidan said to them.

"Alright then," Darek replied as he turned to his Ekans who he and Oddish had been watching their trainers and the others for sometime, "choose one of your noblest Pokemon out of your parties."

Agreeing, everyone split into two groups as Kidan, Cealy, Sora and their Pokemon started to think about who to use to kiss Snorlax awake.

"So lets see..." Sora thought out loud, "in order to wake Snorlax, we need a Pokemon that is the most noblest out of everyone else in our teams."

"But who could be the most noblest? Slice may be good, but not so noble...no offence, bud'," Kidan replied as Slice just waved his bladed arm, not even offended by his answer.

"And Spree may be good, but no prince type," Cealy sadly said with Spree following her example.

"Eevee ain't one for noble, more like a strong fighter and runner," Sora pointed out as Eevee nodded her head in agreement.

"So that leaves us with; Char, Swirl, Psych, Bulb, Grace, Magic, Wartortle, Spearow and Nidorina," Kidan listed from the rest of their party. "Char and Swirl wouldn't dare do it, considering if I asked them to. Pysch wouldn't do nothing, excpet praise Snorlax for its 'amazing' slumber."

"And Bulb nor Grace could do it. They're not really the prince types," Cealy pointed out, leaving only Sora's team left.

"Well, Spearow and Nidorina aren't very good with the noble stuff," Sora explained, "but...that does leave us with Wartortle. He the more noble one than any of the other Pokemon in our team."

"So I guess Nidorina is our best bet then," Cealy said, as Sora's pokeball opened up from his belt as Wartortle emerges from inside.

'You guys talking about me?'

'Yep,' Slice snickered a bit. 'You're going to be our Prince Charming to wake up Snorlax.'

'Alright then, then I guess I bet-' at that moment, Wartortle finally took in what Slice had just told him. His reaction was off the charts. 'Me?! Prince Charming?! On who?!'

Slice, Spree and Eevee all pointed towards the large sleeping Pokemon behind them. The size and look of Snorlax just made Wartortle become disgusted as he suddenly imagined kissing the large Pokemon.

'You're all kidding, right?' Wartortle asked them all nervously, hoping that they were all pranking him on this.

"Sorry Wartortle, but you're our best bet," Sora sadly informed him, feeling guilty for his own Pokemon already.

'Why me? Why not Slice, or Char?' Wartortle asked them fearfully pointing at Slice.

'Hey! You leave me out of this!' Slice retorted.

"Your the most noblest in the entire group, Wartortle," Kidan explained to him. "Your the only one we know that can do it."

Wartortle fearfully looked back towards the large Pokemon, which caused him to shiver at the sight. He really wished that he was dreaming right now and this was all just a nightmare. 'Do I really have to?'

"Please Wartortle? Do it for us?" Cealy pleaded to Sora's Pokemon.

Wartortle eyebrows furrowed as he thought about it. From what he knew; if he would dare give that large sleeping thing a kiss, he would probably never hear the end of it from the other Pokemon. However, on the other hand, he would be able to save the village and supply them all with the necessary water and food for them all.

Finally, after much thought, Wartortle sighed deeply in defeat and cringed a bit at about what he was gonna reply. 'Alright...I'll do it.'

Happy that Wartortle was willing to do it, they looked back towards Team Rocket as they continued to come up with their own Prince Charming Pokemon.

"Any idea on what Pokemon they'll use on Snorlax?" Kidan asked his friends and Pokemon.

"Well, they only have two and that's Ekans and Oddish," Sora pointed out. "If my guess is right, they'll probably use Oddish or something. On honesty, I'm just guessing."

"Just the thought of that makes me shiver down my spine," Cealy mumbled as the pure thought of that came into their minds. They all shivered afterwards, not knowing what it could really do to the large Pokemon.

"Presenting our noble Pokemon..." Chelse announced to them all as she and Darek presented their 'Prince Charming' Pokemon to use. "Ta-da!"

Dressed in a prince outfit was none other than Chelse's Oddish, who had a firghening look on its face. The poor thing had no idea what it had done to deserve this punishment.

'This...couldn't...get...any...worse," Oddish mumbled as she saw Slice, Spree, Eevee and Wartortle all started snickering at her. Even her partner Ekans was laughing at her. 'This is not funny!'

'You're right...it's hilarious!' Wartortle laughed out causing all the other Pokemon to laugh more as well.

'Oh shut up, you overgrown turtle!' she yelled at him, only to cause them to laugh even more, making her more fustrated.

"Okay Oddish, deary," Chelse said to her Pokemon, "time to get to work."

"Give it a big smooch on the lips!" Darek said back to Chelse's Pokemon.

"Oddish, odd oddish oddish!" she retorted back, asking why she had ot be the one to do this.

"S-so we can bring back S-Snorlax b-back to the b-boss," Chelse replied trying her best to not laugh at her poor Pokemon. Truth be told, she felt bad using her own Pokemon for this, but somehow it was gonna be worth it.

"B-besides, you don't look h-half bad in that," Darek tried to compliment holding back his own chuckles as much as he could.

Before Oddish could retort back to her trainer and her partner, they both picked her up from the sides as they got her ready to kiss Snorlax.

'Good thing I ain't the one doing this,' Wartortle sweatdropped but relieved at the same time, thankful that he wasn't first to do that.

"Now pucker up, darling!" Chelse happily said.

"Give it a smack attack right on the lips!" Darek finished.

'This is not fair! I don't want to do this anymore! I quit, you hear me?! I ain't doing this!' Oddish exclaimed through her Pokemon language, but knew that it was futile, considering that they really didn't understand her. As they forced her on Snorlax, they finally made Oddish kiss Snorlax right on the lips, causing her to almost faint from much disgust.

As they all waited for any response from Snorlax, their paitence finally paid off. Snorlax started to stir and cringe, feelign the effects of the kiss Oddish was forced to give it.

"That really did it?!" Kidan exclaimed in suprise.

"I think it really done it!" Cealy replied in shock.

But the more Snrolax cringe, the more it looked like it started to look ill afterwards. They now knew that the kiss didn't even help whatsoever.

"I'm guessing it feels like its poison now," Cealy sweatdropped.

"How would you guys feel if you were kissed by an Oddish?" Sora asked lookign a bit disgusted.

"I would probably look for a new mouth," Kidan half-joked, not really wanting to answer that question himself.

Suddenly, Snrolax began to move to its right as the water spirted out little by little from the other side. As it did, Kidan spotted something stuck underneath the large Pokemon. Pulling it out, he noticed that it was some kind of a note.

"A note?" Cealy asked curiously.

"What's a note doing underneath Snorlax?" Sora asked with the same expression.

"Don't know," Kidan replied shrugging a bit. As he looked at it, he turned it over and found something written behind. "Guys, listen to this; 'If you ever find this Snorlax and it is an emergency, please use a Poke' Flute to wake it up.' "

"Poke' Flute?" Sora questioned.

As the name sounded familiar, Cealy suddenly gasped. "I remember! The Poke' Flute must be the same one that Mr. Fugi was playign earlier outside of the village!"

"So if we can bring Mr. Fugi out here, he can help us move Snorlax with his flute!" Kidan exclaimed. "Come on, lets go get him!"

"Right!" Cealy, Sora and their Pokemon replied as they all ran back to where they had came from at first, leaving Team Rocket in the dust.

"A Poke' Flute?" Darek thought out loud.

"The Poke' Flute, remember? That old man, Mr. Fugi or whatever was playing it earlier while we were spying!" Chelse replied in annoyance, trying to make him remember.

"If that's the case, then we need to get him out here to help us capture Snorlax!" Darek exclaimed.

"Dang! And we let the brats and their Pokemon get a head start before us!" Chelse growled.

"Then lets hurry and beat them to him!" Darek replied as they and their own Pokemon tried to hurry up and catch up to Kidan and the others before they can get to Mr. Fugi first.

Back at the village, Mr. Fugi was outside a rented cottage he had asked to stay in ever since coming to the village weeks ago. Ever since Kidan and the others left the village to investigate the whereabouts of the river stopping, he had been pondering on some things, mostly from his young past years ago.

After Kidan and the others introduced each other to him, the last names 'Hikura' and 'Seriea' started to ring throughout his mind. Those names sounded very familiar, and he wondered if they were related to those who we was acquainted with him years ago. The last time he heard those names was when he was in a town called Lavender Town, where he was orginally born in. During that time, he started to remember some thrilling events that happened in that town, with all the violence from a single bike gang caused the town. They would destroy their homes, force people to give them their money, or any other violence those bikers could even think of. It was eventually saved by four people and their strong Pokemon after they beaten the biker gang leader and sending him packing. Out of the four, two of those trainers had the last names as Kidan and Cealy's. From that little information, he truly wondered if the rumors were very true. Though, it has been over twenty years since he last heard from those heroic trainers. The last he heard their names mentioned was when they announced that two of those trainers had gotten married years ago.

As he kept going through his old mind, he was suddenly interupted by a shouting from ahead, causing him to gaze towards who was shouting to him. "Mr. Fugi! Mr. Fugi!"

What seemed like seconds, Kidan, Cealy, Sora and their Pokemon all stopped in front of him panting after running from all the way from the forest. After finally catching their breath, Mr. Fugi finally spoke to them. "Hello children! What seems to be the rush?"

"Mr. Fugi, sir," Kidan started to say, "we foudn out why the river stopped flowing through the village."

"You have? What was it?" Mr. Fugi asked curiously. Inside, he was actually very relieved that the problem would be finally solved.

"It would be best if you could come with us and see for yourself," Kidan asked politely as everyone else nodded in agreement. "Also, could you bring your Poke' Flute along with you to?"

At that, Mr. Fugi was a bit dumbfounded. "Um...I suppose I can. But what for?"

"If you saw for yourself, you'll understand why," Kidan replied as the others nodded once again in agreement.

A few seconds of silence fell as Mr. Fugi studied their faces. They seemed calm from the look of it, but also both relieved and a bit nervous. Not knowing why and knowing that there wasn't no point of saying 'no' to them, he stood up and smiled at them. "Very well children. Let me get my flute from inside and we'll get going."

"Very you Mr. Fugi," they all said politely in unison as he disappeared into the cabin.

After a rough couple minutes, Mr. Fugi finally appeared back out as he was holding his Poke' Flute in his right hand, as well as some type of hiking boots. He seemed quite prepared for whatever what was to come.

"Alright, lead the way," Mr. Fugi said to them as they all agreed. But as they just started to walk back to the forest, they were suddenly stopped by a wave of Poison Sting attacks, just a foot away from themselves. Standing in front of them all, Team Rocket Agents Darek and Chelse, as well as Ekans and Oddish as they stood in their way. "What's going on here?! Who are you?!"

"Allow us to introduce ourselves, Mr. Fugi," Chelse replied to his question, "we are agents Chelse and Darek, advanced special ops of the future empire of Team Rocket."

"Team Rocket?" Mr. Fugi questioned looking over to Kidan and the others.

"They're petty thieves who take other people's Pokemon and kidnap wild Pokemon for their organization," Kidan explained to him narrowing his eyes at them. "And these two losers are nothing but the weakest links."

"Hey!" Darek and Chelse complained as well as Oddish and Ekans.

"What do you want with us?" Mr. Fugi asked them.

"Simple really," Darek smirked, "we need that Poke' Flute of yours that your carrying. So just hand that over to us and we'll be on our way. Unless you want us to take it by force."

"Should have knwon you would backstab us in the end," Kidan growled. "You ain't getting his Poke' Flute!"

"We'll see," Chelse replied. "Oddosh, get that flute!"

"You too Ekans!" Darek ordered his Pokemon.

Both Pokemon complied as they charged rigth at Mr. Fugi directly, who stood there and waited for the outcome to happen upon him.

"I don't think so! Slice, Agility Attack!" Kidan commanded his partner.

"Use Tackle attack Spree!" Cealy called out.

"Eevee, Quick Attack!" Sora ordered his Pokemon.

Before Oddish or Ekans could lay a single hit on Mr. Fugi, Slice, Spree and Eevee were quick enough to block their tempted attacks, sending them both flying back at Darek and Chelse, smashing themselves into them as they all collapsed to the ground.

"Alright, let end this! Quick Pursuit!"

"Spree, Confusion Sonic!"

"Sand Swift attack Eevee!"

With their combine attacks, Slice, Spree and Eevee made direct hits on Team Rocket and their Pokemon as they were suddenly sent flying into the air.

"There goes our powerhouse Pokemon for the boss," Darek pouted with his arms crossed with Ekans agreeing with his master.

"Oh shut up! We'll just find another Snorlax for the boss!" Chelse snapped at him as Oddish snapped back at Ekans.

"And that will be when?"

"Don't make me hit you, you idiot!"

At that, they were all sent flying out of sight in the sunny sky as Kidan and the others cheered in victory. The little battle that Mr. Fugi witnessed made him look at them all in awe. It has been a long time since he seen a battle like that, ever since the Lavender incident all those years ago. Kidan and Cealy's battle skills were magnificent, and really showed that they had to be the past trainer's children, no doubt about it. All he could do was just watch them and their Pokemon happily and smile.

'You guys have some amazing children here, now don't you?' Mr. Fugi chuckled happily in thought as he and the others made their way through the forest.

"So this is what has been blocking the river bank, huh?" Mr. Fugi asked curiously as he and the others stared at the large Pokemon in front of them.

"Yes sir," Kidan replied. "It must have fallen asleep here by accident and didn't relaize that it had stopped the river flow completely."

"And in order to wake up Snorlax, we need a Poke' Flute to wake it," Cealy explained.

"The only one we knew that had one was you," Sora finished.

"Ah, so that's why you brought me out here," Mr. Fugi smiled as he chuckled softly, qutie oblivious as to why he was brought out here in the first place. It had been so long since he played it to wake up a Pokemon such as Snorlax. "Well, no need for worry. I'll be able to get Snorlax to move in no time at all."

With that said, Mr. Fugi then took a deep breath and then started playing the harmonic melody from the flute, causing Slice, Spree and Eevee to move back and forth like they did earlier. Kidan, Cealy and Sora watched in amazement as he continued to play the flute, not even missing a single note. As he continued the song, Snorlax's ears began to twitch, hearing the melody from the flute as it began to finally wake up from its sleepy slumber.

"It worked!" They all said except for Mr. Fugi who was still playing the flute wonderfully.

Streching its arms and legs, Snorlax finally got up from where it laid asleep and walked into the forest where the other large prickly vines spread out. But even as Snorlax moved away from its sleeping spot, the river water was still not flowing, meaning that it wasn't just Snorlax that was blocking the river bank.

"You can't be serious," Kidan mumbled in much annoyance.

The reason he said that was because the prickly vines that were throughout the forest was blocking the main source of the water, where it was seen leaking through the large vines. There was tons of it everywhere, and it would take months, even years to clear away.

"We have to clear all that?" Cealy looked at the vines nervously and tiredly.

"We'll never get this done!" Sora complained out loud with Eevee following suit.

What seemed like there was no hope, the vines started pulling away from the river bank one at the time. Curious as to why that was happening, they found that the large Pokemon that was finally awake was starting to eat the vines one by one, gulping large amounts of food in its mouth. Standing next to it was Mr. Fugi who watched the Snorlax just eating away the vines.

"That's it Snorlax, eat as much as you want," Mr. Fugi chuckled happily watching it gulping down its food.

"Mr. Fugi? What's going on?" Kidan asked him curiously.

"Well you see children, this Snorlax is actually a Pokemon I known years ago when I was younger," Mr. Fugi explained, gaining all their attention of interest. "Snorlax was one of many Pokemon I use to hang out with when I was your age. And I knew all its favorite foods. Which, you could guess, that the prickly vines are Snorlax's favorites."

"So if Snorlax eats all the vines completely..." Sora started to say.

"Then the river will flow back into the river banks again!" Cealy smiled with a small cheer.

And how right she was. After about ten to fifteen minutes later, Snorlax had completely eaten all the prickly vines in the forest, worth more than a thousand pounds itself. As it finished, they noticed that the river was finally flowing through the bank once again as it flowed more and more through the village. They knew that they had accomplished saving the village, all thanks to Mr. Fugi and his Poke'Flute.

After the village had thank them and Mr. Fugi for saving their village, even when Mr. Fugi replied that he didn't do really anything, and after a large banquet with the village, Kidan and the others, as well as Mr. Fugi, stood next to Route 10 which would lead them towards thjeir next destination, Saffron City.

"Are you coming with us, Mr. Fugi?" Kidan asked him.

"Why not? The village is finally happy and back to normal, and my home is on the way to Saffron City. So I might as well tag along til' we reach Lavender Town," Mr. Fugi explained. "That's no problem is it?"

"The more the merrier I say. Right Slice?" Kidan shrugged with a smile as Slice nodded in agreement with his trainer.

"It would be nice to have you come with us," Cealy replied as Spree landed on top of her head with her wings spreaded out.

"And we'll be able to listen to your music too," Sora said as Eevee cried out in joy.

"Excellent! Then we best not waist time then, should we?" Mr. Fugi chuckled as he walked ahead of them.

Smiling, Kidan and the others all followed closely behind Mr. Fugi as they made their to Lavender Town. Mr. Fugi, who was ahead of them, couldn't help but smile as it brought back some long time memories.

'You should be proud of your son and daughter. They really are something,' Mr. Fugi thought to himself silently laughing with a big smile as he lead the others to their next destination.

From there, our heroes, accompanied by their new friend, Mr. Fugi, make their way to Lavender Town as the prepare to head out for Saffron City in order to get their fourth badge. Wonder what else they'll encounter on the way? Wonder if something exciting or spooky will happen in Lavender? Stay tune and find out on the next chapter!
