Logan was standing in the kitchen drinking a milkshake when Pepper walked through the door, a long sigh escaping her lips. She had a lot of respect for the woman and what she did. Pepper was in charge of organizing Tony's life for over ten years and now she had just been promoted to another challenging position of CEO. Although she still organized most things in Tony's life out of habit, the past few days were certainly draining her.

''Hi Logan,'' she smiled when she walked into the kitchen, placing a thick file onto the bench.

''Busy day?''

''Don't even get me started,'' Pepper took a deep breath. ''Tony's birthday party is two days away and it's far from organized,''

''I thought Natalie was helping you?'' Logan asked, leaning onto the bench as she rested her glass on top of her large stomach.

''She is, but with the Senator hassling Tony for the suits and the media surrounding the Expo and everything else that's happened these past few months it's like I can't get ahead on all of it, even with her help,'' she explained, pouring herself a cup of coffee.

''I could help,'' Logan offered. ''I haven't done anything productive in about a week,''

''No, no, it's fine,''

''It's clearly not. I know Tony doesn't want me doing anything but I'm pregnant, not useless,''

Pepper chuckled.

''I know that, but it's fine, honestly. I've organized his party every year, I know everything I have to do, I just need time to do it,''

''Man, if Tony didn't suck so much at organizing things I'd tell him to do it himself,'' Logan shook her head.

''I don't mind, it's probably the last big party he'll want. As soon as the baby comes I think he'll leave all the partying behind really,''

''Yeah, although he hasn't been much of a party guy for a while now. I mean, he still loves the attention of them that's for sure, but it's different,''

''Of course it is, he has someone to come home to now, he's happy. I knew him through every phase he's been through since I started working for him, and believe me, as intense as he still is, it's dialed down a lot since he's settled down with you,'' she told Logan happily. ''It's nice to see him happy after all these years,''

''I'm just glad he's happy about it all. I thought when I told him I was pregnant he'd freak out, which he did, but not nearly as much as I thought he would,'' she chuckled. ''I don't know, I guess we've both changed a lot,''

''That baby's going to be spoiled for his entire life as well,'' Pepper laughed. ''If there's one thing that won't change about Tony, it's his ability to take things completely over the top,''

''Hey, he's spoiled already,'' Logan put her hand on her stomach. ''Have you seen the nursery we put together?''

''You put together?''

Logan turned to see Tony walking up the stairs from the workshop. He wasn't dirty as if he'd been working on the suit or anything at all really. She had noticed he'd been focused on something important lately and that he'd be in the workshop for hours on end as if he had some serious repairs to do, but he always had an explanation for her.

''I think I'm the one who built the shelves and the crib and carried all the heavy stuff in there,'' he pointed out playfully as he walked over.

''Only because you wouldn't let me,'' Logan hit his side when he gave her a kiss on the cheek, making his way to the fridge. ''And I picked out all the stuff! That's harder than putting a few things together. Anyway, it looks adorable,''

Tony looked over to see the cute smile on Logan's lips as she thought about the nursery. She was getting emotional about every little thing lately, but the nursery was her favorite thing to weep over. It was perfect, all they needed now was their baby.

It was late in the afternoon when Logan's phone began ringing on the kitchen counter. Tony ran over before she managed to pull herself off the couch with an uncomfortable groan, seeing that it was Drew calling.

''You're not meant to be working,'' Tony held up the phone as it rang, staring at Logan who hurried over as best she could.

''I'm not, but he knows nothing about what I do and needs me to look over- Tony!'' she shouted when he answered the call.

''Evening Drew,'' he spoke in a polite voice. ''Logan's been banned from working,''

''Oh, hello Mr. Stark,'' Drew stuttered. ''I just needed her opinion on-''

''She's on relaxation duty for the new few weeks I'm afraid, no work and no stress on account of her being very pregnant at the-''

''Tony!'' Logan managed to grab the phone from his hands. ''This isn't gonna stress me out. Hold on Drew,''

''We agreed you won't work,'' Tony shook his head.

''I'm not working,'' she sighed in frustration. ''I've been relaxing all day, I just want something to focus on,''

''You're supposed to focus on being comfortable-''

''Tony, I love you and you've great through this whole thing, but right now you're going a little overboard on the whole protectiveness thing, okay? I promise I won't do anything that stresses me out or makes me worked up, but I think you're forgetting that I loved my job and I like to still be involved in it,'' she explained calmly. ''I'll be fine,''

Tony took a moment and then nodded his head. He had no experience with pregnancy, he just wanted to make sure she was okay, that the baby was okay. He admit that he went overboard more often than not, but he couldn't help it.

''Thank you,'' Logan pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

Walking away with one hand on her hip, Logan began getting drawn back into everything going on at work. Drew usually called and told her everything she was missing, but usually it was because he needed help with something. With still no partner, just temporary assistants, he still relied heavily on Logan's input and she was more than happy to help. Being at home all day for weeks had been driving her insane.

Tony turned and walked past the kitchen to see that Pepper was sitting in the living room with Natalie, working through all of the chaos that was unfolding about him in the media. They wouldn't let the idea of handing over the suits go. They wouldn't stop calling him irresponsible or ignorant or careless, and Tony couldn't stand it. It was one thing that they were attacking him, but it was beginning to crossover into them calling out his family now. Pepper had assured him she would deal with it, knowing that Tony's approach to the media usually made things worse.

So he went back downstairs to do the same thing he'd been doing for a long time. Trying to find a cure, trying to buy himself more time, trying to find out what he was going to do.

''I don't think he's going to have a name by the time he's born,'' Logan sighed as she ran her fingers over her bare stomach.

She had been laying lazily on the bed since she got out of the shower, her tank top rolled up to reveal her large baby bump as she flicked through the pages of the same book she'd been looking at for weeks. Picking a name was proving to be the most difficult thing she'd done in her life.

''I told you my top five names,'' Tony told her as he threw himself down on the best beside her, earning a groan of annoyance from his wife.

''I know, and I put them with my top five names too, but I can't pick one. I mean, this kid has to live with whatever name we choose for the rest of his life. I don't want to screw it up for him,'' she worried, her fingers now tapping against her stomach.

''You won't screw it up,'' Tony assured her. ''I like all those names, no matter which one we decide, he's gonna have to like it,''

Logan ran her hands over her stomach soothingly now, feeling the baby kick against her. All of her tapping and provoking had caused quite a stir. At first pregnancy was easy, and then she got morning sickness, and then she gained weight, and then it escalated.

''When's my due date again?'' she asked, rolling her head to the side to look at him sadly.

Tony chuckled, moving his hand next to hers and feeling the movement of their son.

''A few weeks,''

Logan sighed loudly.

''I hope it goes really fast,''

''Me too,''

''Really?'' Logan asked. ''I mean, I know you've been okay through all of this, but what about when he's born? You're still Iron Man, but you think you can handle all of it?''

''Iron Man won't be my first priority,'' he shook his head firmly. ''You and this baby, I promise. Iron Man duty can wait. I'll change diapers and put him to sleep and do anything you need before I even think of getting into the suit,''

Logan smiled adoringly. Tony believed his own words. He wanted to be here for all of that, and he wasn't going to screw it up.

''You're cute,'' she reached down to kiss him. ''You'll be a great dad Tony,''

''Time will tell,''

''I just want to get to the next part of parenthood. You know, where the baby is actually here and I'm not feeling like a whale all the time,'' she moved around, trying to get comfortable.

''You don't look like a whale,'' he frowned. ''In fact you look extremely attractive to me,''

Logan rolled her eyes.

''Is there a chance you're thinking of the me from about nine months ago?''

Tony answered by sitting up and crushing his lips to hers, silencing her. Logan's hand wrapped around his neck as he continued the kiss, his hand trailing down her side and making her shudder.

''Tony,'' she broke away, closing her eyes as his lips went to her neck instead. ''You have no idea how unsexy I feel right now,''

''You and the word unsexy don't go together,'' he shook his head. ''Not possible,''

''You might see it that way but I don't,'' she put her hand on his chest as he pulled away. ''Sorry,''

Tony chuckled.

''Don't be,'' he kissed her again. ''I'm just saying, I still think you're just as hot as the first time I saw you, when you almost got ran over by my car,''

Logan laughed at the memory of their first meeting.

''Charming as always,'' she ran her thumb across his cheek lvingly.

''Didn't expect to meet my wife like that,''

''You didn't expect to have a wife at all,'' she corrected. ''Or a son. I wish I could go back to that day and tell you that all of this was going to happen and watch you freak out. Although, you were pretty freaked out when I told you anyway,''

Tony's mouth fell open.

''I wasn't freaked out!'' he defended. ''I reacted normally,''

''Right, so not saying a word for a good half an hour is normal?''

''You were mad at me,'' he remembered.

''Because you kept asking me if I was sure and you made me freak out!''

''Ah ha! So you were freaked out too!''

''Only because I thought you didn't want all of this,''

''I was terrified. I still am, probably even more now,'' he told her as she rested her head on his shoulder. ''I never considered being a dad, and my father wasn't exactly a great role model to go off,''

Logan frowned.

''You'll be a great father Tony. We're both just scared because we've never done this before. This is big stuff, like real big stuff, and neither of us know what we're doing. We're not going to know what to do until the time comes, and that's normal. But at least we'll have each other to learn it all with. Every step of his life we'll be there, freaking out and not knowing what we're doing, but I wouldn't have it any other way,''

Every step of his life.

Tony only hoped.
