Pepper had accompanied Logan upstairs after Rhodey took off, helping her gather up some clothes and necessities. Logan couldn't stay here tonight, not if this party was going to be ongoing and Tony was going to keep drinking. She had never seen him like this before and she just couldn't deal with it anymore. If he wanted to keep acting like that and drowning his problems, he could. But she wasn't going to stick around and watch. When he sobered up and they could talk, she was going to find out what had driven him to this insanity.

But for now, Drew had offered his spare bedroom to her. Pepper had as well, but Logan didn't want to burden her when she was the CEO of Stark Industries and she knew there would be a lot to deal with in the morning. Drew was her closest friend, almost like a brother, and since her family was nowhere near Malibu right now, she was glad he had insisted she stay there for the night. Drew could tell how drunk Tony was and when Logan had found him and told him she couldn't stay and watch this all unfold, he wasn't going to let her check into a hotel by herself. She needed a friend.

''I can't believe him,'' Logan shook her head, throwing her small overnight bag over her shoulder.

''He certainly has taken it to a whole new level,'' Pepper sighed. ''He just needs time. Once he stops drinking, he'll come to his senses,''

When they walked back downstairs, Drew met them and took Logan's bag for her. Her and Drew could fight everyday and make fun of one another about anything, but when it mattered, they always had each other's back.

''You okay?'' he asked.

''Yeah,'' she nodded with a long sigh. ''I just want to get out of here,''

Pepper walked with them to the main area before they all stopped, their mouths hanging open at the sight in front of them. Rhodey was wearing one of the other Iron Man suits. It was completely silver, but the faceplate was lifted to show his angry expression right before he raised his voice to the entire party.

''I'm only gonna say this once,'' he roared. ''Get out!''

Without another word, everyone scrambled in fear. Logan stood back as people tumbled over one another to get out of the back door, rushing away from whatever was about to happen. Drew and Pepper could see a confrontation was about to happen and tried to rush Logan away too, but her chest was pounding with worry as she watched Tony looked over Rhodey.

''You don't deserve to wear one of these,'' Rhodey told him as he walked closer to his friend. ''Shut it down!''

Instead of realizing what he was doing, Tony only told the D.J to turn the music up and put on a track that he could use to beat up his friend. Logan couldn't take it, she couldn't let him do this.

''Tony!'' she called out, walking over. ''Just stop it! You're being an idiot. Grow up and look around at what you're doing!''

Tony's gaze turned to his wife now, noticing how worked up she seemed. She wasn't just angry at him, she was upset. He could see that in her expression, but he was too drunk to explain himself at this point. The thoughts he was trying to get rid of were out of his mind now, the ones that told him he could be dead any minute, and instead they were replaced with destructive thoughts.

''Babe just relax, you shouldn't be stressing,'' he told her casually.

''You're making me stressed,'' she shook her head. ''You and all of this,''

''Well I'm sorry, but it's a party and that's what I intend to do,''

Logan balled her hands into fists as she looked at him, desperately wanting to yell and scream. Instead she just walked away back to Pepper and Drew. That's when Tony saw her bag.

''Where are you going?'' he asked.

''I'm not staying here Tony,'' she shook her head, turning back to him. ''Not when you're acting like this?''

''Acting like that?'' he defended.

''Are you serious?'' she raised her voice. ''If you can't see how stupid you're being right now then I can't even begin to explain it to you. I don't care how drunk you are, this is insane,''

Tony watched as his wife began walking away once again. He knew he should have stopped all of this, he should have went after her and not let her leave like this, but he wanted her to go. A piece of him had been pushing her away ever since he began drinking that night, trying to distance her from his problems. Tony didn't want Logan anywhere near him when he was like this, and despite how intoxicated he was, he still knew that.

''Fine,'' Tony shrugged, pretending he was still fighting for her to stay. ''How 'bout it then Rhodey?''

Drew had never seen Logan so angry and upset but still so quiet. It was terrifying. He had also never seen Tony like that, not even on the news. When Logan walked over to him though, he knew it was time to go. Pepper stayed and dealt with the people while trying to find Natalie, but Logan couldn't stay there any longer. She knew that something bad was going to happen and she didn't want to be around for it. Tony wasn't in the right mindset, he couldn't be reasoned with and Logan wasn't going to try anymore.

There was more to think about in this situation than just her and what she didn't want to deal with. She had to think of her son as well, she couldn't let herself be around something like this when she wasn't even a week away from her due date. If Tony was going to put on a drunken, dangerous show for all his guests, Logan wasn't going to watch it all go horribly wrong. She was sure it would be on the news the next morning anyway.

It had been hard to fall asleep that night. Drew had set up his spare bedroom for her as comfortably as he could since he didn't have many guests, but it was perfect for Logan. He even offered to make her any type of food she wanted, willing to do anything to help her. However Logan just wanted to sleep.

The noises of glass shattering as they left the mansion echoed in her mind as she tried to rest. Tears fell down her cheeks as she sat up in bed, her hand gently resting on her stomach and wishing she could turn back time to that morning and never have the party. But something told her that even without the party and the alcohol, this would have eventually happened. Whatever Tony was trying to drown out with alcohol would have still been there.

Still, it didn't make being without him any easier. She hadn't slept in a bed without him since they were married, it wasn't laying down without him beside her.

Tony felt the same as he laid on the floor of his now ruined mansion. He knew he had been an idiot but that didn't stop him and now she was gone. He had forced his pregnant wife to leave, caused her more worry and stress than she ever needed. Tony had never thought so lowly of himself before. Maybe it was better if Logan was mad at him, she wouldn't have to be around him like this, but he didn't want that. He wanted her, he wanted their son, he wanted to be around for everything in their lives, but it was impossible.

''The party that took place at the billionaire's Malibu house was overflowing with guests who all seemed to have partied into the early hours of the morning before an unknown event took place that caused everyone to leave in a hurry. While no footage of what happened inside the house has been obtained as of yet, it's clear that Tony Stark still has not given up his title of being the same party boy we've seen over the decades,''

Logan frowned as she watched the news report the next morning, hoping that no media had discovered the fact Tony was in his Iron Man suit. So far there had been nothing said about that, but she still didn't like the night being plastered all over the news when she just wanted to forget about it. Wearing her sweat pants and a t-shirt, Logan sat on Drew's couch as he tried his best to cook pancakes for breakfast.

''There have also been reports that Tony Stark's wife and former reporter Logan Walker who is pregnant with their first child left the party early after an altercation with some guests-''

Switching off the television with a sigh of annoyance, Logan threw the remote on the table before looking over to her friend.

''They can't get anything right. Altercations with guests? A reporter? Who even listens to these people?''

''That channel is for celebrity gossip, not news,'' Drew informed her.

Logan rolled her eyes before awkwardly pulling herself up from the couch. Her large stomach proved to be to swollen to fit into the t-shirt, her skin showing just above where her sweatpants began. Drew didn't make fun of her that morning though. He was worried about her more than anything, he didn't know how to help her. Logan was his closest friend, seeing her go through something like this wasn't enjoyable at all.

''How'd you sleep?'' he asked with a smile, trying to keep the mood light.

''Comfortably,'' she nodded. ''When I eventually got to sleep,''

''I heard you go to the bathroom like 10 times,''

''Yeah, well when you have a baby inside you that moves around and rests in really uncomfortable places, you end up needing to pee a lot,'' she explained before accepting the plate of pancakes he slid in front of her.

''I had no fruit to add to them,'' Drew sighed. ''I barely had the ingredients for pancakes. I don't cook very often,''

''Well,'' Logan began with a mouthful of food. ''For someone who doesn't cook much, you make some pretty delicious pancakes,''

Drew smiled with delight.

''Well I am good at almost everything I do, so I'm not totally surprised,''

They both settled into silence as they ate, enjoying the fact that Drew's cooking wasn't an absolute failure. Even though she hadn't said anything yet, Drew could tell that Logan was still thinking about the night before. She had every right to be upset about it, but he wasn't the best at comforting people, especially when he didn't know Tony that well. It wasn't as if they had a massive argument, but Logan and Tony didn't get upset at each other like that. For almost two years they hadn't had an actual fight that caused one of them to leave, they rarely had any serious arguments at all. It was all too perfect.

Logan just wanted to know what Tony was talking about when he said he had to drink to stop thinking about his life. Something was wrong and he was hiding it from her, but she was furious that he had turned to alcohol instead. Logan knew that he was aware of what he was doing last night, no matter how drunk he was. He was just using the alcohol for an excuse.

''Thanks for helping me out last night,'' Logan looked up at Drew with a grateful smile.

''Hey, don't worry about it,'' Drew shook his head. ''You can stay for as long as you need. Do you need to go see Tony?''

Logan shook her head.

''Not yet. He was a total ass last night, I'm not ready to deal with him yet. He has to deal with himself first,''

And Tony was.

He had woken up with a killer headache and his house in pieces around him. Tony remembered everything from then night though. Putting on the suit and shooting things in front of guests, fighting with Rhodey who eventually flew off in the other Iron Man suit after they had both destroyed his house, but most of all he remembered watching Logan walk away. Tony had forced her out of her own house because of how he was acting, and he had to pretend he didn't even care.

When he had enough energy, he had flown in the suit for a while, aware that he really shouldn't have been. There were so many things he had given up on all in one night that had started off so perfectly. He couldn't save himself from palladium poisoning, he was giving up on that. He wouldn't be around to see his son grow up, to be a father and be there with Logan as she became a mother. He wasn't even sure if he'd be around for the birth. Instead of telling her all of this though, he had pushed her away.

Sitting at the top of a diner in his Iron Man suit eating donuts once he had finished flying around, Tony knew that he had hit bottom. Things couldn't get any worse.

That was until a man dressed in a black leather coat and an eye patch walked next to the diner and stared up at the man on the roof.

''Sir,'' he called out.

Tony looked down with wide eyes, recognizing the man from the night after his press conference almost two years ago.

''I'm gonna have to ask you to exit the donut!''
