Leo had conquered the world. He'd helped save his best friend's father, created one of the greatest warships of all time, destroyed the giants, and defeated the dirt-faced goddess of the earth herself. He'd even rescued the one and only love of his life, Calypso, from her imprisonment and brought her back to New York with him, where they were currently staying at Camp Half-Blood.

Calypso was doing pretty well adjusting so far. With Leo by her side, she'd learned to accept the world's modern ways and all the new inventions that came with it. This doesn't mean adjusting was easy for her, though. Leo had to constantly remain by her side like a sort of babysitter in case she encountered something that scared her or was dangerous… Like the time she first saw a microwave.

"Leo, what is that?" she'd asked.

"Oh, that? That's just a microwave. It heats up food almost instantly."

"Really? Is it on right now?"

"Uh, yeah, I think so. Why-"

"Owwww. Leo, you didn't tell me it burns!"

"Sorry! I didn't think you'd open it. Come on, Sunshine. Let's go get some stuff for that burn."

"I'm never using a microwave again. Ever."

So yeah, sometimes learning about new things didn't go so well. But other times, it did. And today, Leo was determined to give Calypso a good time. He and the rest of the seven had finally found a good day to get together. Frank and Hazel were coming from Camp Jupiter, and Chiron was allowing them all to leave camp for a few hours. They decided on going to the city to shop (for the girls, of course), see a movie, and hit the grocery store because the boys were complaining about the lack of good snacks around camp. Apparently the junk food the Stolls "bought" from the camp store wasn't enough for their constantly ravenous stomachs.

When Hazel and Frank arrived and all hugs and "I missed you!"s were exchanged, Leo introduced Calypso to the Romans. Hazel put out her hand and smiled kindly. "Hi, Calypso. Leo's told me so much about you. It's so nice to finally meet you," she said.

Calypso smiled back and shook Hazel's hand. After a similar introduction to Frank, Leo put his hand around Calypso's waist, and all eight of them piled into the camp van. Since there were so many of them, Percy had told Argus he would drive. So with Percy in the driver's seat and Annabeth in the passenger's seat, Jason and Piper took the seats behind them, followed by Frank and Hazel, who were in turn followed by Leo and Calypso all the way in the back. Percy started the car, and they were off.

As they began entering the heart of the city, Leo could notice Calypso becoming fidgety. Her eyes would get all wide when she saw something new, and she started bouncing her knee repeatedly. Leo took her hand, and she turned her head to look at him. He smiled comfortingly, and she flushed and smiled back, thankful that he seemed to understand her mix of excitement and nerves.

After finding a parking spot in a garage, the eights teens walked into one of Piper's favorite shops. The place had literally everything, from jeans to casual tops to extremely formal dresses. Piper practically dragged the others into the store. Annabeth immediately went over to the jeans section, while Hazel caught sight of a simple yet pretty gold top and walked over to try it on. That left Calypso to stare at all the people and clothes around her. A place where you can buy all your clothes readily made at once? Brilliant, she thought. Calypso was brought out of her astonishment by the sound of Piper's voice.

The daughter of Aphrodite smiled kindly at her before saying, "Come on, Calypso. I'll help you find something."

Calypso looked over at Leo. He smiled at her before letting go of her hand, which he'd been holding since they'd gotten out of the car, and nodding toward Piper. "Go with her," he said. "Tell me when you find something you like." Calypso smiled, kissed him on the cheek, and followed Piper to the dress section.

Upon entering the section, Piper turned around and studied Calypso. "Hmmm…" she said to herself. "Light brown hair… dark brown eyes… milky white skin…" Suddenly Piper smiled. "Red," she said. "You'd look great in red, and red is Leo's favorite color. A red dress would be perfect." With a nod of satisfaction, Piper proceeded to find multiple dresses, holding each one up against Calypso as she went. The first one was a red cocktail dress, short with a sort of sheen to it. It was pretty to Calypso, but Piper wasn't satisfied. She shook her head and put it back on the rack. The second dress had slightly puffed sleeves and a slim waist that eventually poofed out into a less fitting skirt. Piper frowned slightly upon holding it up against Calypso. "You'd look like an old lady in this," she said. That dress was also then returned to the rack. After a few more "Nope"s and "Most definitely not"s from Piper, the girls came upon a dress in the back of the store. It looked quite unassuming on the rack, just a simple red, sleeveless dress with a long, flowing skirt. But when Piper held it against Calypso, the daughter of the goddess of love inhaled sharply, a slow smile making an appearance on her face. "I knew it," she murmured to herself. "This is the one." Piper then grabbed Calypso's hand and dragged her to what looked like a series of closets in the back of the shop.

"Why are we going to a closet?" Calypso asked.

"Oh, these aren't closets. They're dressing rooms. This is where you try clothes on to make sure they fit."

"Oh."

"Yeah, so why don't you try the dress on? Just pick a room. I'll wait for you out here, and when you're ready, show me how it looks."

"Okay." Calypso walked into the dressing room all the way on the right and closed the door behind her. After taking off her jeans and Camp Half-Blood t-shirt, she stepped into the dress, zipping it up and looking in the mirror. Suddenly, she gasped.

Calypso had never been one to be too concerned about her looks before. She had only really ever worn white Greek-style dresses and the jeans and t-shirts she was introduced to when Leo came into her life. She knew she was pretty, as every hero she'd ever met had told her at some point. But now, Calypso knew she looked absolutely beautiful. The dress showed off her collarbone and toned arms, and it hugged her slim waist perfectly. The color looked stunning against her skin, and the skirt flowed around her ankles, giving her the appearance of a gentle and graceful young woman.

Calypso opened the door to see Piper standing right outside. She grinned upon seeing Calypso, only saying, "Leo is going to drool when he sees you."

Calypso suddenly felt self-conscious. "It's not too showy, is it?" she asked. "I feel kind of ridiculous. I don't know if we should show this to Leo."

Piper looked kindly at her. "Calypso, you look modest yet beautiful. You have no reason to feel ashamed in that dress. Besides, beauty isn't just looks. It's mostly your personality. Leo fell in love with you because of your character. He loves your kind, sarcastic, loving, smart nature. Your looks don't hurt, of course, but that's beside the point. So will you please let me go get him?"

"Okay." Piper grinned and left to go find the son of Hephaestus.

After about a minute, Calypso heard the clanking of hangers a few racks away. "Ow! Stop pulling my arm, Beauty Queen! You're practically cutting off the circulation! Honestly, Piper- Ouch! See, look what you did! You made me scrape my arm on one of those metal hangers!" Suddenly a satisfied-looking Piper and a very disheveled-looking Leo stumbled out of the racks of clothes by the dressing rooms. Leo ran his hand through his hair and pulled his hiked-up shirt sleeves down into place before he saw a flash of red out of the corner of his eye. He looked up to see his girlfriend standing in front of him in a beautiful red dress. His eyes got wide, and his jaw practically dropped to the floor. "Woah," he said. "C-Calypso, you l-look amazing. That dress… Y-You're gorgeous."

Calypso's caramel hair was down, flowing over her milky white shoulders. She blushed faintly upon hearing Leo's remark, giving her cheeks a rosy hue. She flickered her almond eyes up to him. "Thanks," she replied. "You don't have to buy it, though. I'm probably never going to wear it anyway… I still think it's a little too showy."

Leo walked over to her, slipping his arms around her waist and looking her in the eyes. "Calypso, you're the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen, and you deserve to feel gorgeous. I know you've been told about your beauty before, but I also know you've never really thought about yourself in that way before either. You just are who you are, and that's one of the things I love most about you. But I want to make you feel beautiful because I really do love you, and I want to make you happy. And I think buying this dress would be a great way to do that, so I'm going to buy it, and then I'm going to take you out one day so that you can wear it. Okay?" Calypso nodded silently. Leo smiled faintly, his chocolate brown eyes boring into her almond ones. He then kissed her before telling her to meet him at the register and walking back toward the front of the store.

Piper smiled at Calypso. "Thank you for making him happy," she said. "You guys deserve each other. You've both been through so much."

Calypso smiled at her new friend and walked back into the dressing room, changing into her regular clothes. She then took the dress and walked out to meet Piper. The two girls then proceeded to walk toward the cash register, where they met Leo. The son of Hephaestus smiled at Calypso upon seeing her and immediately put his arm around her waist, taking the dress from her and paying for it. They then waited for the other three girls to finish their purchases.

Annabeth ended up buying a few pairs of jeans and a turquoise cocktail dress Piper had insisted on making her try on. When Percy had seen her in it, he'd practically drooled, insisting on buying it for her. Hazel bought the gold top she'd tried on first, and Piper bought a purple shirt that Jason had liked on her.

Once everybody had completed their purchases, Leo took Calypso's hand, and the eight teens walked into the summer air of New York City.

"So where to next?" Hazel asked.

"Let's go to the theater first. Then we can pick up the food on our way back," replied Annabeth.

"The theater it is," said Leo. So with Percy and Annabeth in the lead and Leo's hand in Calypso's, the teenagers made their way to Calypso's first movie theater experience.

So that's the first installment of my first Caleo story. I'm thinking about making it three chapters. The movie theater will come next, and then Calypso's first grocery shopping visit. I think the last chapter will actually be pretty funny. I know this chapter is really sappy and cheesy, but I needed some Caleo today. They're just so adorable, and since the series just ended, I figured everyone could use some sappy HoO romance. And I think the girls are a lot more… girly… in this chapter, but I guess I just felt like making them that way this time. Hopefully it's okay with you guys… So I'll try to update soon. Thanks! :D
