Hey I thought I'd remind you all that the timeline for my story is going to differ from the movie from now on. I have a few others things I want to include and if I stick to the movie timeline it won't all fit realistically. So all of the movie plot will still be there, but it won't all happen in one day like IM2. Thanks for reading.

Logan had been putting it off for as long as she could. Despite the sickness and overwhelming nausea during the day and the fact that she was late, she still held on to hope that she would get her period any day now and everything she was worrying about would go away. It was stress from work that was causing all of this, she had been working non-stop for the past week on a huge story with Drew, it was just taking it's toll on her. But it had gone too far now, Logan was almost three weeks late when she locked the bathroom door behind her, a small white bag in her hand.

It wasn't that she disliked the idea of having children, she knew that one day they would be part of her life, but she wasn't expecting it so soon. Tony and Logan had only been married for a year, she didn't think they were anywhere near ready for something like this. However she looked over the instructions on the test kit and did everything she needed to, nerves getting the best of her as she could feel her stomach swirling around and knotting.

''Hey Logan?''

Tony's voice came from the bedroom just outside the bathroom and Logan almost fell to the ground as the surprise. He was down in the workshop when she got home and he was usually there until late at night, she thought she'd have time to do this without any interruptions. Logan knew that this was supposed to involve the both of them, but since she didn't know the answer yet, she didn't want to worry him over nothing.

''I'm in the bathroom,'' she called back.

''Taking a shower, huh?'' he replied in a suggestive voice. ''Mind if I join you?''

Logan rolled her eyes as she pinched the bridge of her nose. No wonder she was in here worrying over a pregnancy test. They had a very active sex life and it often happened unexpectedly, but they tried to be as careful as they could. Still, not all birth control was 100% effective.

''I actually want to shower solo right now,''

There was a pause on the other side of the door.

''Did I do something?''

''No, I just want to have a relaxing shower by myself for a change. Plus I know you don't really want a shower because you'll be back in the shop as soon as you get out,'' she explained. ''I won't be long,''

Tony let out a long sigh.

''Alright then,''

Logan waited until she could hear his footsteps leave the bedroom before she rushed over to the sink where the little white stick was sitting. The box had said she would have to wait three minutes, and there was still one left. Taking a deep breath, Logan closed her eyes and thought about what she would do if it came back positive.

It wasn't as if they couldn't have a child right now, it was very possible for them to do so. They were beyond financially secure, they had a healthy, happy relationship, but all of that could change with a baby involved. They hadn't even talked about the idea of having kids yet, they were still in their honeymoon phase. In fact, Logan was sure they would never leave that phase. Her biggest worry though was having to tell Tony. If she had been taken by surprise by this, then Tony certainly would be.

When the minute had passed, Logan lifted the test into her hand and immediately looked down, wanting to see it right away and get it over with, just like a ripping a band aid off.

Just as she had thought.

Tony was sitting at his desk in the workshop listening to his music at the highest level of volume as he made some suit altercations. His hands were covered in grease from tinkering with one of his cars earlier and he was considering going back upstairs and convincing his wife that he really did need a shower. However when he heard his music being turned down until the room was silent, he knew he missed his chance.

Logan's footsteps approached behind him as Tony's eyes remained fixed on the computer screen, but it was when her movements stopped that he finally turned around.

''That was probably the quickest shower you've ever...''

Tony paused his words when he saw the look on Logan's face. She looked so worried as if she had just received a terrible phone call, but then his eyes ran down her arm and stopped at the white stick in her hand. Tony knew what it was, there was no mistaking it. His heart began beating faster in his chest, Tony in complete surprise.

''Is that a...?''

''Yeah,'' Logan answered, her eyes focused on him as if she was expecting him to go off running.

Tony nodded his head, moving his gaze from the object in her hand and back up to her worried face.

''And it's...?''

''Yeah,'' she nodded, her voice shaking.

There was a long silence between them, just staring at one another. Logan was waiting for him to say something, but he was waiting for her to do the same. He knew that he was prone to saying the wrong thing all the time and right now wasn't the time to get anything wrong. Tony wanted to know how she felt about this before he told her how he did, but he hadn't even worked that out himself just yet.

Logan looked down at the stick in her hand and made sure the symbol hadn't changed.

''I mean...that's what the box said,'' she explained. ''And it adds up,''

Tony stood up then, running his hand through his hair as he thought to himself. Being a father wasn't something that was on his mind a lot, in fact he didn't even know if that's what Logan wanted with him. Neither of them ever had good relationships, especially not a marriage, and they weren't sure if they would ever be ready for kids. But then, they were never ready for anything that happened to them. When they met, Logan hated him, neither of them expected to one day be married. Nothing in their life was planned and yet it all worked out.

''Can you say something?'' she asked. ''You're making me want to throw up,''

''Is this what you want?'' he asked. ''I mean, how do you feel about this?''

''I feel like I just found out I'm pregnant and my husbands being really weird. I don't know Tony, I literally just found out and came to talk to you about it. I know this wasn't planned and all, but it seems to be happening and I really want to know what you're thinking,''

Tony sighed.

''I think...hell yeah,''

Logan stared at him for a moment.

''What?''

''Hell yeah,'' he told her again, walking closer. ''Let's do this,''

''Tony...'' Logan spoke in a whisper as his hands finally made contact with the sides of her arms. ''Aren't you freaked out?''

''Well yeah, I mean it's a baby, I don't know anything about them. But it's us, everything we do is unplanned and it all turns out pretty great,''

Logan's lips pulled into a light smile.

''This isn't the reaction I was expecting,'' she shook her head. ''Now I'm starting to think I'm more freaked out about this than you are,''

''I'm sure I'll freak out countless times, including later on when I'll still be thinking about the fact that this is happening,''

Logan couldn't believe how calm he was being. She expected extreme fear and possibly running away for a while, going overboard like Tony usually did, but this was completely different. Maybe they could do this. Maybe a happy family was possible.

''This is insane,'' Logan put her hands over her face.

''But so are we,'' Tony gently took her hands in his, revealing her face which had a mixture of emotions.

''But we've never talked about this,''

''We're talking about it right now,''

''Because it's happening right now,'' Logan shook her head.

Tony reached up to cup her face in his hands, running his thumb soothingly across her skin.

''What about you? How do you feel about this?''

Logan didn't know what to say. Everything had happened so fast in the past hour, she hadn't had enough time to even think about things properly. She knew that Tony was right when he said nothing they did was ever planned and it all worked out, but this was different. Having a child wasn't a priority for Logan just yet, but the idea of having a little toddler running around the house with her and Tony wasn't the worst future she could imagine. In fact it made her stomach flutter at the thought.

''Terrified. Really, really scared. I haven't got a clue how to do any of this. But...I think we could do it. It'd be completely crazy and full on and stressful-''

Tony silenced her panicked rambling by pressing his lips to hers. It only took a moment for Logan to calm down and sink into his arms, her hands pressing against his chest.

''This is gonna change our lives forever,'' she reminded him when they pulled apart.

''But do you want this?''

Tony didn't want her to feel trapped or pressured into anything. He never thought it would be this way around when he found out he was going to be father. Tony was sure he would be having a heart attack or getting in his car and driving to another state, but nothing that happened in his life scared him when it was with Logan.

''Yeah, I do,'' Logan nodded.

''Because I'll be with you through this whole thing, for the rest of your life actually if you remember our vows,'' he chuckled. ''I'll always be with you,''

Tony pushed the memory from his mind with a shake of his head as he stared out the window of his now destroyed home. The day that changed his life forever seemed so long ago, he wished he had more time.

He'd been tracked down by Nick Fury of SHIELD earlier in the day after apparently causing problems for them with his behavior. Natalie, his assistant, turned out to be a spy working for SHIELD the whole time, assigned to keep an eye on Tony. Everything that had happened during their brief discussion at the diner was a blur to him considering he was battling a hangover and his ever growing guilt. It was a lot to take in during a twenty minute sit down with the Director of SHIELD and a spy who he thought was just a regular P.A working for him. Fury told him he needed to fix his problem and get things back to the way they were and Tony had almost laughed in his face.

''Trust me, I know. I'm good at this stuff. I've been looking for a suitable replacement for palladium. I've tried every combination, every permutation of every known element,'' Tony told him with annoyance and frustration in his voice.

''Well I'm here to tell you that you haven't tried them all,''

That's when they had to leave the diner. Fury had given him a box of his father's old equipment and research that had to do with the arc reactor, but Tony couldn't bring himself to look at it yet. There was too much going on his life right now to stop and take the time to go down memory lane and think about Howard Stark. But since Fury was walking through his hall and SHIELD agents were at his door, he assumed there wasn't any choice in the matter.
