Artemis watched as her brother and Kaldur sparred. She son heard her dad arrive and they saw him pull up an image of giant plants. He started to debrief them about the plants attacking all around the world. Artemis smirked when she saw her brother typing on a key board. Suddenly the screen changed to show Joker with his creepy smile. Dick looked at his sister a little nervous.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we interrupt your regularly scheduled mayhem to bring you this important announcement…" Joker started taking out one of his knives.
They watched as the screen was moved to show six other villains that are with him.
"From the Injustice League" he finished and started laughing.
Artemis and Dick both looked to their dad when they heard that laugh. Batman just gave them a glance that they knew were to comfort them. They were shocked that Count Vertigo explained that all they wanted was ten billion dollars. Soon the transmission ended with Joker's laugh. Wally started to get aggravated that they weren't going to join in with fighting the plants. Artemis hit him in the arm when he made a whining noise. She hit him again when he didn't realize what Batman was going to have them do. Batman ordered the team to go stop the injustice league after Zatara located them. Before Artemis and Dick could go get changed their dad stopped them.
"Are you two sure you can do this?" Batman asked in a whisper. "I can call in your brother to help you if needed"
"Don't worry dad, we can handle this" Dick assured and his sister nodded.
"Just be careful and try to not let Joker get too close"
"We will" Artemis promised and then they ran off to get changed.
Batman let out a sigh as they disappeared from his sights. He soon leaves with Zatara and Captain Marvel to help handle the plants. On the bio-ship, Artemis and Robin heard Kid Flash ask Aqualad about the duffel bag. As they flew Miss Martian suddenly felt the ship was in pain. It crashed into a swamp and they saw Black Atom ripping a hole in the ship. Superboy quickly punched him getting him away from the ship. Artemis started to get upset when water started coming int through the hole.
"No. No way I'm nearly drowning three missions in a row" she yelled.
They all swam out getting to land and felt a sudden pain to their heads falling to the ground. Aqualad through the mind link ordered Robin and Miss Martian to run knowing they could stay hidden. The others give them cover and started fighting, but were defeated. After they were captured Count Vertigo looked at the teens.
"Two are missing" he realized.
Robin walked with Miss Martian following him through the jungle. She started to become worried about the others, but Robin made her continue. They saw the main plant that was controlling the others. Suddenly they became trapped in vines as Ivy was behind them. Miss Martian quickly moved Ultra-Humanite's gun down and they escaped quickly getting away. The others arrived in a mystic cage which they were released from by the ship. Artemis starts to fight Ivy and then sees the woman look up. She couldn't help smiling at the sight of her brother's explosives all over the main plant.
"Timber" Robin said with his arms crossed.
He then jumped down to the ground when he saw Joker. The clown followed him down and took out two knives.
"Wonder Boy, you are mine" Joker said trying to sound like Wotan.
He started slashing his knives at the boy who kept avoiding them. Joker was just about to catch Robin when a batarang came down knocking a knife out of his hands. Looking up they all saw some league members arriving and Joker decided to try and unleash his Joker gas. Batman quickly punched him in the face and watched Aqualad turned into Doctor Fate get rid of the gas.
As Batman, Robin, and Artemis arrived to the cave they saw Talia and Roy waiting for them. Talia came running up looking them over and saw some bruises and cuts on both.
"Mom we're fine" Artemis assured.
She went towards the changing room with her brother and dad. When the three came out they saw Roy at the computer. Soon their grandfather appeared on the screen which confused them.
"I heard about your fight today" Ra's said looking at Artemis and Dick.
"We are okay grandpa" Dick informed seeing him nod.
"Unfortunately that's not why I contacted you"
"Father, what's wrong?" Talia asked seeing his expression.
"They aren't the ones behind everything" Ra's said seeing them all become confused.
"You mean the Injustice League weren't behind Cadmus and everything" Roy looked at his grandfather in shock.
"No, the Light is and luckily I'm apart of it. I'll try to give you anything I find, but I wanted to inform you"
"Thank you Ra's for informing us" Bruce said seeing Ra's nod.
"I must be going, but do be careful from now on"
Ra's disappeared and Talia looked at Bruce seeing him thinking over what he was told. The three teens all seemed to being thinking about it also.
"Dad, I think I know who's also apart of this so called society" Roy informed pulling up images of certain villains. "Luther has to be apart of something this big"
"I'd add Queen Bee. Though something about the way she wanted to capture Dick gives me a bad feeling" Artemis explained seeing her little brother look down.
"At least Grandpa is there and he can tell us what we need to know" he said seeing the two nod agreeing.
"For now this information stays between the five of us and no one is to know about this so called Light" Bruce informed seeing the three nod. "Now off to bed, today has been a really big day for you three"
They nodded going up, when Alfred stopped the teens from continuing up to the mansion.
"I think I should clean out young master Dick and mistress Artemis's wounds" he said seeing Bruce agree with him. "Okay children come along"
They followed him up to the kitchen where he had the two younger teens sit in chairs. He started cleaning a cut on Dick's cheek and Roy seemed to look down to the floor thinking about something.
"Roy, you okay?" Artemis asked as Alfred started putting a bandage on her leg.
"Yeah, just thinking about something" he informed as Alfred finished.
The teens went upstairs to Dick's room where they went inside to talk. Roy started pacing around while Artemis sat with Dick on his bed.
"So we placed that mole idea in the others head and I think we should still use it" the oldest batling went over.
"Agreed" Artemis stated.
"We need to keep a watch on the others, make sure they don't get too close to these Light members or figure out we've been not telling them the truth all this time" Dick said as he bit his lip. "You saw how they reacted to when Kaldur didn't tell them everything about the mole"
"Lets just be careful and try not to get them too suspicious of us" Artemis added.
"That's seems like our only option. Now lets get some rest" Roy said before him and Artemis left for their own rooms.
