(Annabeth's P.O.V.)
Sitting on the couch, eating double fudge sundae with pickles was about my favorite thing to do in the world. We still hadn't told Luke about the baby, afraid he might feel replaced. Luke was sitting on the floor, coloring out of the lines on an elephant that was balancing on a ball. He smiled at me carelessly, showing me the picture that was quite a sight. I smiled though.
"It's perfect sweetie," I said, eating another bite of the ice cream.
It was the weekend so Percy was home, but he was sleeping in. He was exhausted and it showed. He had dark circles under his eyes, and he moved oddly. Luke continued onto the next page, scribbling all over it. I looked back to the T.V. which was playing a special on the assassinations all throughout history. I watched and heard clattering behind me. I looked behind me and saw Percy who had tripped over a chair. He fixed it and then made his way to the kitchen, pouring coffee into his cup. Luke looked up, grinning toothily and ran to his dad. Luke attached himself to Percy's leg, and Percy mussed up his hair, looking down at him.
"Morning bud," He said, with a half smile.
"Mowning daddy," Luke said and then ran back to his coloring book.
I stood up, setting my ice cream on the table. I wasn't that big, but I was definitely starting to show. I'm almost three months pregnant, which is right around the time I started showing with Luke. We hadn't told anyone yet, well except for our godly parents. They would have known even if we didn't tell them. My tank top just barely stretched over my stomach, and I tugged down as I walked over to Percy. I turned his face towards mine, and he looked at me tiredly. I brushed his hair out of his face.
"Go back to bed," I said, resting my hand on his cheek, my thumb stroking his cheek bone.
He sighed and set his coffee down. He placed a sweet, lingering kiss from his lips to my own, "Wake me up in an hour or so," He murmured, brushing a piece of hair out of my face, and then his eyes drifted to my stomach, and the corners of his mouth twitched up, "Another baby," He muttered, smiled and then went back to our room.
I went back to the couch, but Luke wasn't sitting on the floor coloring, "Lucas," I whispered, not wanting to disturb Percy, "Luke."
I heard giggling and found him in his room, under his stuffed elephant. I looked at him, and smiled. He was too cute to not smile at. I picked him up and walked back to the couch, flopping us both down on it. Luke found comfort in lying on my stomach for some odd reason, always had, and he lied on it when we flopped down. He knew the feeling of lying on my stomach and he looked up at me, confusion shown on his adorable face.
"What's wong wit yow tummy mommy," He questioned, his head tilting to the side.
I thought for a second, but the stupid hormones were clouding my judgement, "Baby how would you feel about a brother or sister?"
Luke pondered it for a second and then looked at Annabeth, "I want a broder or sister," He said and I sighed with relief.
"Well mommy has a brother or sister in her tummy," I said, resting a hand on my stomach.
Luke smiled, putting his chubby arms on my stomach, and putting the side of his head to my largening stomach, "Deres no baby in dere," He muttered.
"Yes there is," I said, smiling and tickling his small feet.
Percy walked out a few hours later, and Luke was asleep, his head on my stomach. I was stroking his pale blonde hair, legs criss-crossed, watching another documentary. Percy sat down on the side of me left, and looked down at Luke, who he then smiled at.
"He said he wanted a little brother or sister, but he probably won't feel that way when he or she is born. I don't want him to feel like we forgot him," I said, continuing to stroke Luke's hair.
"We could never forget our first little bundle of Percabeth," Percy said, chuckling at the couple name the other campers had given them when they were younger.
I smiled and scooted closer to Percy, making sure to keep Luke level, and in place on my stomach. He made a grumpy noise, but stayed asleep. I lied back against Percy's chest, my head resting in the crook of his neck. I felt him kiss my hair, and his hand rubbed up and down my arm.
"Don't ever say 'Percabeth' again," I said, with a slight laugh, but he was already snoring.
I shook my head, laughing at my boys. They both had the same sleeping face, and they both fell asleep so quickly. I smiled and continued watching the documentary on some governor.
(A few weeks later Halloween night)
"Percy are we both taking Luke this year?" I shouted, and Percy walked out wearing a Captain America outfit. I burst out laughing.
"Hey your son made me," Percy said almost whining, and then he struck a pose holding the plastic shield, "Am I hotter than Chris Evans?" He asked.
"Most definitely," I laughed, "And if I remember he's our son," I said resting my hand on my stomach. I was 3 months and 3 weeks pregnant.
Percy stuck his tongue out at me, and I in turn did the same to him. Luke ran out, dressed as Iron Man. He'd taken a huge liking to The Avengers. I'd be walking with them and not dressing up.
"Mommy you gots to dress up too!" He shouted, pointing at me.
"Yeah mommy," Percy said, smirking. I still couldn't get over the fact that he was dressed in a full, tight outfit, hood and all, the shield strapped to his back.
"Mommy doesn't have to do anything because mommy is carrying a baby," I said, pointing at the both of them, glaring.
They both backed down, and I grabbed the candy bowl, "Luke do you have your pumpkin?"
"Yes mommy," He squealed, waving it in the air.
"Alright let's go," I said, and then looked at Thalia who had come downstairs, "Make sure to pass this out, or you'll have to face my pregnancy wrath."
I put it on the coffee table, and then walked out the front door, after slipping my coat on and then Luke's. I zipped it up over my pregnant stomach, and Luke squealed as he and Percy ran down the hallway. Well Luke ran, and Percy walked holding his hand, making sure he didn't fall. We went down the stairs, and then to the neighborhood next to our apartment complex. Luke ran up to the first door, and rung the doorbell, Percy next to him. A considerably young woman stepped out, and smiled at Luke.
Luke held his pumpkin up with both hands, grinning from ear to ear, "Twick o Tweat," Luke said, happily.
He got candy in his bucket, and then he sprinted away. Percy chuckled softly, muttering a quick, "Thank you."
Luke ran over to me, holding his bucket up, "Wook mommy. I gots candy," He said pulling out the 'y' in candy.
I smiled adoringly, fixing his mask, "You sure do. Go with daddy to get more," I said, patting his butt as if to get him going.
He squealed running towards a grinning Percy. Luke grabbed Percy's hand and they went to the next house. I started walking after them, and smiled as Luke did the same as before, but instead ran to the next house without Percy, and Percy had to speed up.
"Lucas!" I shouted, and he turned to look at me, "Stay with daddy, and say 'thank you," I continued to shout. Percy shot me a look that said 'Thank You,' and I smiled.
We continued to walk and then I gave Percy a break, letting him walk on the sidewalk, while I took Luke up on the porches. We climbed a set of stairs, and had to wait since there was a huge crowd. Luke jumped impatiently, holding onto my hand tightly. I took a minute to breath, and finally we got the candy. The middle aged woman smiled at both of us.
"You are the cutest Iron Man, I have seen all night," She said, smiling at Luke, who instantly became shy, muttering, "Twick o Tweat," as he backed up behind me.
"Oh how many months are you hun," She questioned.
"Three, almost four," I said, fixing his hood again.
"That's wonderful. How old are you little man?" She asked Luke.
"Two," Luke said shyly.
"Well you're the biggest boy who's come here tonight."
Luke giggled softly, hiding more. I smiled, and I said a quick, "Thank you."
We walked down off the porch, and met up with Percy. He had taken his mask/hood off and he looked amazing. His sea green eyes were lit up as he grinned at us. His dark hair was disheveled as always, and he looked at me. He grabbed my chin, pulling my lips to his quickly.
"Are you tired babe?" He asked, running a hand over my baby bump.
"I'm fine," I said, chuckling softly.
Luke tugged on my jacket impatiently, "I'm coming evil spawn," I said jokingly, following after the impatient Luke.
After a few hours, I was aching all over and Luke was practically falling asleep. I carried him on my back, and Percy kept insisting he do it. We finally got back to the apartment and found Thalia asleep on the couch, the candy bowl empty. I poured Luke's candy in it, placing it in the pantry, I then proceeded to Luke's room. I changed him out of his Iron Man suit, and put him in Marvel pajamas. I set him in his crib, and he hugged his moray eel closer to him, and stuck his thumb into his mouth. I tucked him in with his quilt. I kissed his forehead, and looked at him lovingly. I walked back out and I went into my own room. I changed into black leggings, and a maternity tank top. I lied in bed, slipping my book off the nightstand, and turning my lamp on. Percy came in, changed into pajama pants and slipped his shirt off. He climbed into bed, and lied down on my chest, like he did every night, and set his hands on my stomach. I lifted my arms up, so he could lie comfortably, and I held my book with one hand, rubbing his back with the other. He breathed deeply, and I moved my hand up to stroke his ebony locks. The baby kicked several times and I saw Percy smile widely, feeling where the baby had turned on it's side.
