Chapter 11

As another day came Shippo busied himself with drawing, the demons here were happy to supply him anything he needed to make his amusing and well-drawn pictures to tell a story to everyone. It took him the whole day to get it all done but by the time he finished everyone gathered, minus the still unconscious females, and listened to his re-telling of the previous day's events. Youko stood at the back, amused with the kit and wondered where he got the idea to do such a thing. The kit has a talent for the arts; he could acknowledge that and watched the kit show them his pictures with a lot of pride. Most kits would never be able to learn such a skill, the threat of life and death situations usually to imminent and the skill not being seen as useful but this one actually had a hobby that didn't involve saving his life unless he showed his skill and the demon decided to keep him for it.

He allowed him to indulge this; it will keep his little mind busy and bring comic relief to them. After it was done and the crowd dispersed he asked the kit to do it again when he found something worth it to him. His eyes lit up at the hidden compliment and the next day found him with Aki going to the market so they may buy his supplies. Youko encouraged him to learn this skill and indulge himself in anything he desired to create it. That night he had another set of pictures ready to tell another story, finding a way to share his past and cope with the turn his life has taken.

"This wolf's name is Koga, he is the leader of one of the tribes," he pointed to him before moving on to the next figure, "this is InuYasha, he is a half demon dog and son to the Inu no Taisho," the name gaining some recognition from a few of the demons. "This one is Kagome from when she was human, this other one that is Kikyo, a priestess she was reincarnated from." Youko raised a brow at that. This must be real life events the kit has decided to tell. "InuYasha loved Kikyo before she died, now she is back among the living, maintaining her clay body with the use of the souls from human women," he pointed to the blue balls flying around her. "He always runs off to her when she is around and it always hurts Kagome's feelings. Then one day this wolf demon Koga realized Kagome could sense the shards of the jewel she protects and decided to kidnap her," he flipped the page and showed an angry InuYasha being tackled by a boulder on a cliff while Koga ran off with a screaming Kagome while Shippo hung on to his tail. "After Koga left his cave I transformed into him and with Kagome we almost fooled the other wolf demons," his next picture showed Koga with a fox tail holding Kagome by the arm with a couple confused wolves sniffing it. "I tried to get us out of there but she made sure I escaped since Koga wouldn't let anyone touch her." It showed Kagome throwing him off a cliff while he transformed and escaped. "Koga liked her loyalty and declared her to be his woman and she slapped him but had agreed to help them with their enemies." It showed a picture of them fighting the birds of paradise, his friends, Koga and other wolves fighting them, "these are the birds of paradise. InuYasha showed up with my help to save Kagome. These are also our friends," he proceeded to explain who they are before continuing on, "together we defeated the birds of paradise but Koga openly claimed Kagome to be his and told InuYasha he doesn't have time to play with him. In the end Kagome was rescued but wouldn't let InuYasha and Koga fight since Koga was hurt." The next picture showed him bringing flowers to a flustered Kagome as she held InuYasha back, "after that he would come by often, calling her 'his woman' and promising to give her our enemy Naraku's head once he defeated him. InuYasha and Koga would fight almost every time, it sometimes became very hilarious for the rest of us," he showed a picture of Koga on top of InuYasha as he held the hands of a blushing Kagome, the next of Koga whirling away in a tornado while InuYasha was sat into a crater. "Kagome would get mad at InuYasha when he would say something stupid and then used the subjugation beads around his neck to 'sit' him, I would purposely get him in trouble after he had been mean to me just so I could watch her do it and yell at him. When we were taken we had managed to get the whole jewel but Naraku was still alive so Kagome was being targeted by him and many other demons. A lot of her powers were sealed away by the demon Magatsuhi who fights the priestess Midoriko inside it. While Kagome holds it she keeps it purified where Midoriko is winning and she can in turn help protect Kagome and steadily weaken the demon's hold on her sealed power. From what I can figure out is Kagome is so powerful that she scares the demon in the jewel so he twisted Kikyo's wish to never fight again into taking away the majority of her reincarnations power. He almost fully sealed them away but was stopped."

Everyone in there had a gained a new respect for her but something that had Youko and a few others curious about is what the extent her relationship is with either of the males. "Shippo, thank you for sharing all of that with us," Shippo delighted in being under the praise of his idol. "What was the extent of her relationship with this Koga and InuYasha, and is their others?"

"Oh yeah, everywhere we go she usually leaves with some admirers but she is always so oblivious to it. Though Koga is blunt in his actions she doesn't really believe him and InuYasha has compared her to Kikyo a few times which has led her to believe he will never see her as Kagome. Though Naraku initially desired Kikyo, I have seen him looking at Kagome and showing up more often. Many of her other admirers are either dead, moved on seeing their pursuit as hopeless or are possibly still out there looking for her. There is a Hojo guy in her time that for some reason thinks they are together, a demon and a mercenary had tried to force her into marrying them but they were dealt with already. It's honestly hard to list them all since she attracts one everywhere we would go. Even Hojo's ancestor pursued her, isn't that nuts?" He clearly missed the point that Youko was getting at as the elder demon could feel his possessiveness grow exponentially. "Really, if we ever return I think it will all come down to Koga and InuYasha. They are always saving her when she gets kidnapped or attacked. It might even be that the curse of most priestess will come true but so far Kagome has been lucky."

"Wait, what curse?" His attention was successfully diverted for the time being, his clenched fists relaxed as he focused on that interesting information.

"Well, that is what I call it and it is rumored to be true. See Magatsuhi is one demon that is formed of many demons. See there was this human that desired Midoriko and grew very powerful as he sold his soul to demons. Then he battled her for seven days and nights. He had claimed her left arm and captured her with his jaws so Midoriko knew she was about to lose and she exorcized shikon and that created the jewel, their bodies are still in the cave because they were crystallized. Then a long time later Kikyo came along and she was given the jewel since she was a powerful priestess. A bandit named Onigumo came into her care because he was badly burned, and while she took care of him he began to desire her and one night he sold his soul to demons as well, becoming Naraku instead. While Kikyo was waiting with the jewel for InuYasha one day she was struck down by Naraku who had fooled her into believing it was InuYasha. That day InuYasha was going to wish to become a human so they could be together so she thought he betrayed her. Then she used the rest of her remaining life that day to attack InuYasha who had also been tricked by Naraku into thinking Kikyo betrayed him and with an arrow to the chest he was sealed into slumber for fifty years until Kagome came along. Kikyo died, instructing them to burn the jewel with her body, the jewel came back with Kagome because she was then born with it. Honestly I think Kagome will always be in danger even if she manages to defeat Naraku and Magatsuhi. She is really pretty and many have wanted her for different things and I think she could have the essentials for performing shikon as well."

Kuronue had his eyes on Youko the whole time; he could see that less information might be good for at least a little while. Youko looked like he might lose it. Kuronue had always figured if Youko became smitten with a female she would have to be highly desired for several reasons, not just sex and Kagome fit the bill to a 'T'. She is the first to grace his bed and still remain untouched, she captured his attention and respect almost immediately and that said something with a kitsune who is famous for having several lovers. He decided to intervene with the kit, hopefully his partner will just go back to his room with his possessive self. "Hey Shippo, you should draw up some pictures about all of this for the next few nights, I'm sure everyone agrees that they enjoy it, how about how you met Kagome for starters, would that be okay?"

"Oh yeah, that story is super important and we almost died. Thank you Kuronue!" Youko's eye twitched, and Kuronue coughed, "just head off to bed for tonight though, you have done a great job and we expect you will do great tomorrow as well."

"Okay, goodnight you guys, kiss Kagome goodnight for me Youko!" The silver kitsune twitched and Kuronue really wondered if he should approach him or avoid him entirely. Aki was eyeing him curiously with his humor carefully disguised, having never seen him like this or ever hearing a rumor of the famous thief doing so. Really, this will be great for the next several nights if they can keep it going. Youko looked broken at the moment as he stood there; he found it very entertaining whereas Kuronue looked quite concerned.

Kuronue sighed after several moments passed by, he approached him carefully, muscles tense as he snapped his fingers in his face getting him glaring at him suddenly. "Everyone has left," he simply stated. Youko blinked before he looked around, only Aki was there besides them. He huffed and walked away, his mind on a million things all pertaining to the miko turned demon. Really, it is a good thing she is in his chambers still asleep because he likes it rough when he is frustrated. She is certainly lucky he holds more value in her than the bitches he ruts with. He headed to his study, sitting down looking at a scroll but as the minutes ticked by he realized he had yet to even study it to even know what it is about. With a growl he got up and paced, his mind going back to figuring out how to wake up the females. He tried a few things on his own already but none of it worked. Last night he even tried forcing her awake with his aura and that proved futile though he figured it would. Tomorrow he will have to set out and see a potion maker or a demon of that nature.

His brisk steps eventually had him leaving the study and pacing the halls for a while until he came to his door. Her scent began to coat the room in her sleep and he began to like it but right now he would like other things more. He finally entered and closed the door behind him, standing there staring at her a few moments before going over to his side. He had never had such problems before and really, before he met her he would have said he'd just kill her or rut her yet meeting her had a whole other effect on him. The woman next to him sure did carry a lot of weight with her but it seems that he found her worth all of this though he isn't entirely sure why.
