Ohiya! I got the idea of the sunset from what my mom had said. She had told me that when my grandma's husband had died and she was driving back home, she said that the sunrise was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen as if her husband's spirit was going up to the sky. A few days ago my mom was driving my dad to the airport at six in the morning and my dad made the same comment that the that was the most beautiful sunrise he had ever seen, well at that moment apparently my dad had learned that his boss who he was close to had died in a car accident on impact. So I took decided to use that but change the sun rising to the sun setting because I honestly like it a lot more and it'll fit the story better. I also apologize for the shortness but all the ideas I have, I'm saving for the last chapter which is the next chapter, so be prepared and have some tissues ready! Thanks for the reviews, favorites, and follows! Please leave a review and favorite! Farewell and Enjoy!

A Sunset So Beautiful
They didn't stay up all night like Gon had intended as the spiky haired kid fell asleep right around four after a video game they had been playing for quite some time, and by the time Gon was awoken by his alarm clock, Killua was no longer there. Gon just shrugged his shoulders and guessed that the white haired kid went back to his house after he had fallen asleep and he proceeded with getting ready for school with heavy bags under his eyes and a long lecture from Aunt Mito and Kurapika for staying up all night, but he made up for missing so much sleep by sleeping in his classes.
When school had ended, Gon didn't bother with waiting for Kurapika and Leorio as he headed straight for Killua's house only to see that the movers were there moving out the last of the stuff, this time with no difficulty since Killua wasn't there messing with them which worried Gon ever so slightly.
Curious with a hint of worry, Gon hid behind a bush near Killua's house and watched all the movers, their truck, and the old dusty windows of the house trying to find one hint of a certain white haired kid that Gon knew so well that he could sense him with his eyes closed and with deaf ears. He was paying too much attention towards the house that he didn't notice two certain teenagers walk up behind him and settle on each side of him.
"Couldn't have waited for us, huh?" Leorio asked grumpily next to Gon, scaring the poor kid half to death as he yelped and jumped a little from his hiding spot, head turning to Leorio so fast a crack was heard in his neck, though he ignored it.
"How long have you been sitting there?!" Gon asked in surprise. Leorio held a finger to his lips with a slight shake of his head and smiled.
"Calm down, will you? We just arrived here a few seconds ago." Leorio explained, Gon's head snapping to his other side where Kurapika gave a slight wave, his neck cracking once more by the force of turning his head.
"You guys are ninjas!" he all but shouted, making Leorio and Kurapika both hold a finger to their lips to shush him. Gon sheepishly scratched the back of his head as he calmed down a little from his small surprise. "Sorry…" he apologized as the three turned their attention back towards the house and waited for some commotion that was obviously Killua's, but none came.
After an hour or two the men finally left with all of the house's possessions with them, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio making their way into the house.
It was an odd feeling for Gon stepping into the old house with nothing inside, the rooms and walls bare and empty with not a crumb in sight, his footsteps echoing louder than before. It felt like it wasn't even the house he had first met Killua in, or the house where Kurapika and Leorio wanted to inspect only to see that it was in fact haunted by Killua and Gon was actually friends with him. Stepping through the front door felt foreign and cold, his heart aching inside. It reminded him of the fact that soon Killua will be gone, maybe tomorrow, a week, or a month from now or maybe he wouldn't leave at all and both facts saddened him. He wouldn't be happy with either choices, and he knew he will never be.
"Killua…?" Gon asked quietly, his voice sounding louder in the empty house as Kurapika gently shut the wooden door behind him. The silence pressed in on their ears as they waited for any noise, but none came. The worry grew in all three of them as they walked upstairs with each step and breath multiplying in sound around them. First they checked in Killua's old room, then his four other brother's rooms, parent's, and four guest rooms before they went up to the attic only to see nothing but bare wood and the old dusty window Killua often sat at.
Gon stayed there for a few moments rooted to spot before he started to slowly walk towards the dusty window. Outside the sun was setting, it was beautiful; Gon had never seen anything like it. The rays of the sun, pink, orange, purple, and blue seemed to be stretching across the whole city, through the clouds and touching every roof top, every blade of grass and leaf in a tree or on the ground and every car visible. It was absolutely beautiful. It took Gon's breath away. He has never seen anything like it and he believed he would never see anything like it again.
As he stood there just marveling in the sunset, Gon caught eye of white at the bottom of his vision so he looked down at the front lawn to see Killua standing there on the edge of the property with his back towards the house.
A bright smile crossed onto Gon's face as he thought that Killua must also be watching the sunset, thinking that it was also beautiful just like Gon did.
Without thinking, Gon ran out of the attic as fast as he could, past Kurapika and Leorio who stood confused near the top of the attic's stairs, and flew down the three floors until he reached the old wooden door he knew so well, having memorized every grain in the door when he waited for Killua to come out.
Taking a deep breath as his smile stretched even further on his face, Gon took ahold of the cool scratched up door knob and turned it, opening the door as wide as he could.
"Killua!"
