Authors note: Yep! I'm still here! And Cammie is still in a cell filling with water! So lets get back to that shall we? FYI I was terrible at writting this chapter, it was the first part of this story i actually really came up with and I just couldn't get it down right. ;)

Chapter. 15 - The Kids.

Cam's trousers began to stick horridly to her legs but that didn't stop her as she flung herself hopelessly at the bars. Trying to push herself through them, beging that she had magically gotten smaller between each try. This cannot be happening, she chanted in her head as she began panicking big time. The water was moving up faster than seemed possible, soon it was above her waist and she stumbled in the rushing currents as she tried to get through the bars again.

Out of all the high security this place had it hadn't figued out its own way of stopping leaks? She thought frantically, but she wasn't stupid, someone had quiet obviously started this on purpous. They care about me, my ass! Cameron wanted to yell. There was nothing, absoloutly nothing Circle training had taught her that could get her out of this. It was one of the positives of having the amount of underwater bases. She had asked Dr. Steve about the problems once; Flooding shouldn't be a problem, he had passed of with a chuckle, At least not for us. But if the enemy ever get the chance to flood you? Then. That's when Martin had cut his mentor off ,before he could finish. with You're fucked.

It wasn't as if Martin had purpously done that so Cammie would drown now, or at least it was highly unlikely, she had even laughed at the time. Now, however, the memory made her even angrier and caused more of a struggle against the water as the lashing out became fiercer, and therefore pushed harder against the rising liquid making it more difficult.

Stay calm, Cammie told herself and tried to take the situation one step at a time. I will get out of this. She treaded water manically. Don't let the anger control the escape plan. There was no escape plan, she kicked wildly at the bars, lost her footing and crashed back into the water.

Gasping for breath she tried to take control over the water once more as she shot back up to the top, the waves going nowhere knocked her too much and staying afloat was hard enough. Her body went straight into automatic and she kicked out more as if she could fight the water off, instead she just fell back again. Cam tried to grab onto one of the bars that had become increasinlgy slipperly as the water rised in a slight slope up the corridor. Cam gasped for breath again. She treaded water. Pulled on the bars as if that would work.

Her head was almost touching the ceiling. There was a crash of a wave somewhere down the hall that sounded deadly. Remembering the pathetic thin streach of window that covered the top of the cell, taking a deep breath she started towards it. Her arms scraped and her head thumped against the tough brick stone above her. Soon there was barely an inch or so of free air left. She clumsily tried to thrust herself towards dead hope. Her brain was too busy battling the acceptance that she was going to drown to ponder as to whether it was a good idea to use her energy until the curtain call or not.

A scrape and creak. Cameron's heart leapt with either terror or hope (most likely both) but she was too preoccupied to decide. Either way, with one final chance she pressed herself against the celing and took the longest deepest final breath she could muster before forcing herself back under. She forced her eyes open and demanded herself to see, trying her hardest not to make the pressure add to the strain of holding in the air. Somewhere near the cell bars a boy with dark hair was fumbling with a lock and was making everything he touched rattle. Zach.

A bubble of air escaped Cam's store and something inside felt heavy. What the hell was he doing here?! Her mind ordered straight away. She could interrogae him later. she supposed desperatly, she let out another, bigger, bubble or air and tried to keep herself steady. Bubbles burst from Zach's own lips as something clinked and sank dismally down. Underwater a spies relfexes have been nuetorisly slow, but luckily everything else is in slow motion. Diving for the keys Cam let out another round of air, Zach took them from her immediatly as if his own reflexes had been completely unharmed, which didn't put him much more in Cammie's favour than he had been before.

Zach fumbled excrushiatingly around the lock and Cam tried to ignore the white in his knuckles around one of the bars that screamed at Cammie to inform her that this was becoming a struggle. The rest of Cam's air escaped her lips in dismal bubbles before she could stop them. She reached forward weakly as if trying to grab Zach or show him a rude hand gesture. All of her muddled thoughts were fading into black as her body was forced to register the water.
An elongated scrape scorched its way through Cammie's consciousness before something grabbed roughly at her shirt and pulled her forward. She was vagually aware of being slammed against Zach's body and some distant part of her mind that was an automatic spy informed her they were heading in the wrong direction of the door. She struggled weakly against him but the grip on her shoulder just tightened impatiently.

The nerves in Cammie's body were hit with the sensation of being closed in before dying down, all thoughts were gone, her body was relaxing and soon she was drifting...Suddenly she was prepelling upwards, a wave of fresh air hit her like a welcome frying pan. She was caught between coughing out water and gasping in air so Cameron simply settled for choking desperatly on everthing. It was childishly relaxing to endure the sensation of someone dragging you through the water whilst they swam, but not so much when you're choking on life the entire time.

Hard and yet slightly sludgey mud found its way roughly to her back, lying still suddenly made her next plea for full lungs more of a succses, even if it led to another coughing fit. She could feel Zach pulling himself over the bank, crawling over Cammie as if she wasn't there.

"Townsend?" Cammie croaked out in some attempt to form a question.

"No, my names Zach." He panted out, still managing to succed in toying with his ego, like always. When Cam choked again he seemed to take her a little more seriously. "Security meassure. Twice a month. The adults are busy and Bex neglected to mention it until it was a little late" Cam tried to force her brain back into its normal mode and decided it didn't matter how she felt about that. She would only decide it made her angry and struggle to compress it enough to take any actions on the subject. Otherwise her brain was noticing things at the same speed it always did. For example despite the fading light she could pick out the exact shade of green that was mixed into Zach's eyes, and managed to deside between two brands of the soap and shampoo he smelt of.

"You can get of me now." And that was the nicest thing Cameron Morgan had ever said to Zachary Goode. Even the tone in which she had done so wasn't the normal snap or venom coated retort she usually treated him with. Never the less - or perhaps because of this - he stared down blankly at her for a moment or two before zooming back to his usual self with a resounding, "Of course." before rolling off of her. Only then did Cammie realise the warmth he had held over her and she tried not to shiver. She let her head roll to the side to look at him.

"You saved my life." She stated dumbly. But facts and memories were buzzing around her so harshly it made her numb with the need to string together and make sense of all these things she simply could not fathom.

"You're welcome." he commented sarcastically, furrowing his eyebrows, because Cam hadn't exactly sounded grateful.

"Why?" She demanded.

"Because your the headmistresses daughter and I don't want to get expelled...and you also have information about my moms saturday night club or whatever." He replied easily. Goody two shoes, Cameron cursed inwardly, that was before he added, "And that whole banter thing about the middle we have going on. I've decided I don't have to convince you to think my way, you can do that on your own, I'd just liked to see you pushed over to the right fake family." It was almost a shame how wrong he was, but the fact that he had just saved Cam from drowning stopped her from saying anything. She was overwhelmed by a hint of panic and other emotions she couldn't begin to describe. Had she just started oweing Zach Goode?!

"ARE YOU GUYS DEAD?!" A loud voice called over without the slightest hint of feeling the need to keep a low profile. Cammie immediatly shot up and regreted it just as quickly, not only because it made it seem like they had been doing something but because her rather empty feeling head had started to sway and she was almost certain she was going to throw up. It was the English Gallagher Girl that had spoken, followed by the blonde and the Solomon, Macey walked towards them with them looking like she always did, and not like Cameron had recently tried to burn her soul with information, why should Cam be excited to see these people.

"Come on, guys, We've got to track the Solomons and Townsend, do you have any idea how hard that's going to be?" Bex continued to demand. It occured to Cammie that she could have made a break for it then, but by the sounds of it they were taking her straight to her circle. Perhaps they didn't think handing back one more of their agents would hurt. Perhaps they just didn't care.

"What? You guys aren't just letting the big grown-ups handle it?" She asked frankly before she could stop herself anyway.

"No. The teachers get us involved in the information side of a task. Insist only they can go and kick ass. We follow them. All hell breaks loose. Maybe a few detentions and scraped knees here and there, but other than that it's extra credit. It's just how we do things around here." Krissy said beaming. They really hadn't seemed the type, Cammie thought. They had never really struck her as kids capable of doing actual spy work out of freewill before. Except maybe Bex, she poundered thinking back to their fight. Zach might have caught a fleeting, wondering look, becuase he beamed too and pointed to himself.

"Spies." Just because he saved your life doesn't mean it's okay when he does that now. Cam chanted to herself as they headed towards a battered old van. Seemingly in a formation around her just incase she decided to do a runner for where these idiots were going in the first place. They loaded in and she tried to ignore the looks people shared when Bex took the wheel, and then they were driving and it was just like that after weeks and months of planning and one failed escape attempt she was being driven out of her birth parents hell hole and towards whatever home the students were stalking their teachers too.

Cameron didn't really know why she would speak to any of them, but it felt increasingly note worthy; She didn't speak to Zach. Not when he ate the last of the M&M's (Which started up circus music for a good ten minutes in her head), Not when he started thum wrestling with Liz over and across her, And not even when he tried to take a nap on her shoulder (Which consiquently led to Cam punching him in the groin.)

Wow I want to rewrite that but hey I'll see. Two Chapters so buckets of Reviews would make me happy but whatever you know its up to you. Yeah I'll proof read them again properly at some point so don't explode in maggots and cola.
