Chapter 9

Natasha tried to keep calm but it was hard when she couldn't see what was going on.

As soon as the chopper had been at a safe enough altitude, she had been blindfolded. Now she didn't know if Steve was awake or still unconscious and what was worse was that she didn't know where they were heading.

Judging by movement, she guessed that they were heading east. She hoped that SHIELD would somehow find a way to figure out where they were going.

She at least hoped that they were heading toward a remote village. The only location in the area and SHIELD would look there.

She heard someone shout something from the front but the blindfold was covering her ears and muffling the voices around her. She didn't need to understand since she felt the helicopter start to decend and eventually land.

Shuffling noises were made and Natasha felt herself being forced up from her seat. The blindfold was removed from her eyes and she was suddenly blinded by bright lights.

She only had about a second to get her vision back before she was suddenly pulled along roughly.

She tried to look around for Steve and saw a stretcher being wheeled over to the helicopter.

"Keep moving, Widow." the guard holding her ordered.

Natasha huffed and allowed herself to be led into the large building that was somewhat surprisingly built inside of a mountain.

The rumors were true and the location Steve and I found before was a decoy. she thought to herself. I hope Steve's alright.
