Sorry it took so long for me to update. . I've been too busy lately and as an apology this chapter is at least twice as long as the last chapter. Please review.

Disclaimer; I do not own Vampire Academy, I such own Rose's daughter and son :p

It was a shorter journey back to Oskana's house than going to the underground garden but that's most likely because I was staring at mom the whole time thinking that if I let her out of my sights she would be gone and that all of this was a dream and I can tell that Ruşen was thinking the same as he hadn't taken his eyes off of mom either. Mom noticed me and Ruşen watching her and gave a soft smile that gave me a feeling of relief.

Once we reached the house we all filed out of the car and into the house; by the time the last person who happened to be Dimitri was in the house, the living room was filled with people and the implied interrogation began.

"Rose, where have you been all these years? Why did you leave?" Lisa had tears in her eyes as she said this.

"I had personal reasons for why I left Liss and as to where I was for the pass 17 years; well that's a bit of a long story." Mom sighed as she said this.

"Kiz, why don't you just explain it to them from the beginning," grandpa suggested.

"Alright. I'm only going to explain this once and please save your questions for after I finish. After I have Rozalia and Ruşen my body started to give out on me but I didn't know why and just wrote it off as an after-effect from child's birth after all Ruşen and Rozalia was not a normal birth. About 3 months after I gave birth I suddenly collapsed while I was making dinner, I was lucky that Sydney was there. This continued for months; I would collapse at random times. Around 6 months after I first collapsed Anna and Vladimir came to me in a dream, to warn me. They told me that I was dying because the magic that Lisa used to revive me was slowly killing me like it did to Anna. They also told me that the only way to prevent this was that my soul had to leave my body and tame the magic but also to preserve my body in the crystal so that why I finish my training my body would still be there because a body without a soul is just an empty shell and would just eventually die. I planned everything. I knew that people would be after Ruşen and Rozalia just because they were my daughters so I hid them from those that knew me as their enemy and had baba watch over them." Mom explained in full detail.

Ruşen and I were surprised. I never knew that mom was under so much pressure and that even as she was about to be preserved and her soul else where, she still thought of Ruşen and me.

"Oh Rose, I would have protected them, you know that. So would Eddie and Christian," Lisa cried.

"I know Liss but I couldn't risk it. I need to know that Rozalia and Ruşen would be safe and I wasn't the most liked person in palace." Mom calmly replied.

Christian put a hand on Lisa's should and shook his head when she looked in his direction, silently telling her not to argue and that mom was right.

"So am I right to presume that the darkness was what was killing you," Mark stated.

"Yes. My body was rejecting the darkness and right now I can see the darkness inside you is slowly being rejected by your body," replied mom. Oskana had a look of true terror while Mark looked surprisingly calm.

"I knew it. So that was why I was feeling so tired," Mark agreed with mom.

"Rose, please tell me you can help him! You gave to help him!" Oskana cried.

"I will don't worry Oskana, we can start training first thing in the morning," mom smiled toward Mark and Oskana.

"Roza, you need to stop lying to yourself, there is no delaying the inevitable." Yeva remarked suddenly causing everyone to look at her.

"I have no notion what you mean Yeva," mom replied coldly.

Yeva snorted," I'm sure you don't. You're forgetting what I see child and those who chose to hide blind themselves from the truth."

"I see but tell me this Yeva, is it not within the ones who have been hurt to close themselves off from the one that hurt them and try and start a new without that person in their life," mom contradicted Yeva. I can see that everyone in the room knew whom they were talking about; even a blind person could see it.

"Of course but the pain that was inflicted can be healed with time and those of the same soul are two sides of the same coin and one cannot truly leave the other alone," Yeva replied with a voice of finality while mom just stared with a look of indifference.

"Why don't we all just meet up at Oskana's tomorrow for breakfast, its getting late and we should let Roza get some rest," Olena suggested breaking the tense tension around the room while grandma shot a grateful look in her direction.

The Belikov family got up to leave and as Dimitri left he looked at mom once more before he was out the door.

"Rose, why don't you get some rest," Grandma said to mom softly.

"Okay thanks mom," Mom smiled at Grandma and got up to go to the other guest room but was stopped by my hand and Ruşen's. She turned towards us and smiled softly yet knowingly.

"Ruşen, Rozalia would you two mind sleeping with me tonight," she asked us and we immediately agreed and rushed through our nightly routine while mom followed at a much more leisure pace. By the time the three of us were in bed it was already midnight. Mom slept in the middle between Ruşen and I, holding each of our hands. For the first time ever I felt truly safe and loved, even more so than when I first met Ruşen but I couldn't help but feel that there was still something missing but I dismissed the thought and fell into a deep slumber.

I promise to try and update consistently and with longer chapters (hopefully O.O). Please review and I might have a poll soon on what powers the twins should have, should I ever figure out how to start one. ;D See you guys soon.
