YUUUUS! SPRING BREAK! ACTUAL TIME TO WRITE! THANK HOLY ROME!
Thank you guys for being SO patient with me. This chapter is a bit short, but the good stuff will come after this one.
Quick recap: The Digitalia began their climactic fight with Azelmon and proceeded to get their asses handed to them. Even in their Ultimate forms and combining their moves, they're no match for this guy! But that changes when the strong belief and friendship of the nations cause a new power to emerge from the Digitalia. The Champions have arisen.
The nation's and Azelmon's gaze was drawn to the seven Digitalia who now emanated raw power. The nations saw that their Hetavices were going crazy with power. The devices were shaking so much that they looked like they were going to explode any second; the small screens were showing the flag symbol that each one bore and seemed to glow as intensely as the eyes of their Digitalia.
Azelmon's red eyes filled with rage and a slight tinge of fear as the Digitalia stood proudly with their auras washing over the entire mountain, "It can't be…" Azelmon muttered, "Have they awoken…the Champions?"
The nations gazed in amazement at their glowing Digitalia as they got back into their fighting positions, their eyes glittering with pure confidence and courage. Everything seemed to happen in a flash to the nations. In the blink of an eye, the fight was back on. The seven Digitalia were so much more fast and precise that they actually landed the first move on Azelmon directly.
Usamon zoomed between Azelmon and the nations before giving him a short but fierce headbutt, sending him back into the middle of their battlefield. Lenamon let out a howl that seemed louder than usual and her shadow sprung to life without any delay. Her shadow then split into multiple wolves running along the ground and surrounding Azelmon.
Kumaplemon raised his paw and sent his icicles flying towards him. Azelmon scoffed and raised his hands to bat them away but the icicles were too fast for even him to stop. At their lightning speed, they easily smashed in Azelmon causing him to stagger. Lenamon's shadow wolves then sprung out of the ground and clawed away at Azelmon. They bit and scratched in such frenzy that Azelmon had no room to defend himself.
The moment the wolves began to fade away, a loud roar came from Pastromon. He lunged at Azelmon, fangs aglow and sharp as ever, and picked up the Digitalia in his mouth. He bit down hard causing Azelmon to grit his teeth and shook him like a toy. Pastromon then threw Azelmon into the air with a strong toss where the three flying Digitalia were waiting.
Awebirdmon and Freemon activated their attacks and flew at him simultaneously. Two blurs, one of flames and another of red and white, flew through the air at top speed. They only ever intersected when they were dealing a short but painful blow to the airborne Azelmon. After a few moments, both Freemon and Awebirdmon flew straight up landing a double strike and sending Azelmon up a few more feet.
The moment they left Azelmon's range, Lepkemon took action. She spread her now beautifully glowing wings and turned to pure steel. With one flap of her wings, Lepkemon slammed right into Azelmon and crushed him into the ground. Lepkemon flew out of the giant crater she had made allowing Azelmon to get to his feet. "This…can't be happening…" he said hoarsely as the seven Digitalia surrounded him, "Was I truly destined to lose…to them…?"
The Digitalia all opened their mouths as they began to glow brighter. Everyone's eyes widened as a beam of energy could be seen forming in all of their mouths. The beams in their mouths grew more and more as they stored up more energy until the beams were so bright that to Azelmon, it looked like he was surrounded by seven huge stars of different colors.
With one loud battle cry, the seven Digitalia released the beams of light, each one matching the color scheme of the flag on their Hetavices. The seven beams collided with Azelmon creating a huge orb of energy around him.
Azelmon felt his body dissolve away as well as the darkness that surrounded him and the entire mountain, "So this is it…" he thought as he saw a bright light above him, "You've finally beaten me…" Azelmon allowed a small smile to grace his lips in his final moments, "I hope…you can forgive me…Oramon…at least…let me see my friends…in the Soul Well…" With those thoughts, Azelmon was no more.
The beams ceased for a split second before an explosion of white emerged from where Azelmon was just standing. The nations covered their faces and screamed as they and their Digitalia were blown back by the massive amount of power. The top of Shadow Mountain was completely enveloped in an explosion of white, causing a massive wave to sweep over the Digital World.
From the explosion, one could barely see seven small figures flying away from Shadow Mountain and into the world below. The nations only remembered seeing white before seeing blackness.
Miles away from Shadow Mountain was a pond of clear water. The pond was calm until two figures broke the surface of the water; one of them, an unconscious Brit, and the other, a small boy with brown wings.
Amerimon grunted as he struggled to swim his unconscious partner to shore while ignoring his own exhaustion. He eventually managed to get Britain to the shore; he caught his breath before going over and shaking Britain's shoulder. "Hey Iggy, wake up! You okay dude?"
Britain groaned, not opening his eyes; his head felt like it was going to split open at any moment. He put a hand on his head and slowly sat up before opening his eyes. "You okay?" Amerimon asked again causing Britain's eyes to widen and slowly turn his gaze to him. "…Amerimon?" Britain asked slowly.
Amerimon nodded; he didn't know why, but something seemed off about Britian. He was looking at him like he had never seen him before, "That fight was rough; it brought me all the way back to Basic form," he said with slight annoyance.
Amerimon was right; in six other locations, six Basic Digitalia were rousing their partners.
Itamon crawled towards Romano who was lying in the middle of a rocky clearing, "Romano, wake up!" Itamon cried as he reached the Italian, "Are you alright fratello?" Romano opened his eyes with a groan causing Itamon to smile in relief, "You're awake! I was so worried!" he exclaimed. Romano looked at the Basic Digitalia and his eyes slowly widened as he sat up, "You're…Itamon." He said slowly.
Itamon nodded before falling back on his butt in exhaustion, "I'm so tired I can barely stand," he complained.
"France! Are you okay?" A worried Canamon shook France's shoulder while glancing around the forest they had landed in to keep an eye out for enemies.
The rest of the Digitalia and their partners were scattered all around; Hungamon tried to wake Austria after pulling him away from a canyon's edge, Prussiamon poked and prodded at an unconscious Germany as they sat at the base of a mountain, Japamon was sprinkling water from the river they landed near on China's face hoping to rouse him, and Belamon attempted to wake Russia, hoping the smell of the flowers of the field they landed in would help wake him.
They all eventually succeeded and all the nations reacted the same way; they slowly woke up and their eyes became as wide as dinner plates the moment they laid eyes on them. Then, at the same time, all seven Digitalia asked the question that set off a bomb in the nation's minds:
"So, did you get your memories back?"
It's the part we've all been waiting anxiously for! Expect some good fluff next chapter as well as the beginning of the second part of our digital journey! And yay! The Basic Digitalia are back! It's been a while since I've written them so it will be refreshing!
W00T! You gotta admit, the Digitalia kick major ass when they're Champions! That will also hopefully be explained next chapter; like I said before, I had to work the whole Champion thing from Digimon in here somewhere.
Review and tell me what you think! I'll write the next part as fast as I can!
