Life as they knew it
Normal POV
"So. What do we do now?" asked Rukia as everyone gathered in the living room
"I guess we cook? It's close to sundown anyway," suggested Ikkaku
"You don't even know the first thing about cooking," insulted Ichigo with a small shrug.
"I know how to make rice better than anyone here," boasted Ikkaku.
These groups of teenagers, ex-agents, are somewhat different. There are two big-headed idiots, Abarai Renji and Kurosaki Ichigo. The prince of ice, Hitsugaya Toushiro. That one girl with a messed up past, Hinamori Momo. The smart one, Ishida. The big, muscular guy, Chad. The cheerful one, Orihime. The reasonable one, Kuchiki Rukia. The drunk, Matsumoto Rangiku. The leader, Hisagi. The hot-headed one, Madarame Ikkaku. Then there's that pretty boy, Yumichika.
"Matsumoto and Hisagi are fast asleep," informed Hitsugaya as he came out of the shower, "They sure get along well when they drink."
"I haven't seen Hisagi like that in awhile, it's kind of nostalgic," chuckled Ishida
"Well. I'm starving so I'm ordering some pizza," said Renji and called up Pizza Hut.
They all lounged around on the sofa eating pizza and talking, like they always do.
"Do you guys remember that one time Hisagi got so drunk he was talking to the door for an hour thinking it was a really sexy lady?" laughed Renji as he remembered the parties they went to in the past
"OH YEAH! Wasn't that at the opening party of some building we were planning to bomb?" baffled Ikkaku not able to hold his laughter in
"We never did end up bombing it though," mumbled Rukia
"Wasn't that because Hisagi was drunk and we found someone else barfing in the bathroom," asked Ichigo and started thinking about it
"Ukitake told us to relax and blend in but have a good time as well, plus that was like our second mission together (Defense and offense), i guess some people got carried away," shrugged Ishida and looked at Ikkaku
"Why are you staring at me? I didn't do anything," yawned Ikkaku and took another bit of pizza
"Oh i remember, Ikkaku was the one barfing in the toilet, and I also remember Yumichika looking at himself in the mirror and just repeating how beautiful he was," said Ichigo and in one instant everyone was laughing, except for Yumichika and Ikkaku
"Says the person who was forced to dress up like a girl when he was a kid!" yelled out Ikkaku pointing at Ichigo
Everyone's head turned to hear Ichigo's answer, "I TOLD YOU NOT TO SAY IT OUT LOUD!"
"WHAT? ARE YOU HOMOSEXUAL?" asked Orihime in shock
"NO I'M NOT!" defended Ichigo
"Calm down, you're all too noisy," scolded Ishida
There was some silence as everyone became quiet. It was weirdly awkward, until Rukia spoke up.
"I feel so free. I have nothing to do now that I quit the agency," mumbled Rukia and took another bite of pizza.
"That's true, all we ever did was work," yawned Ichigo. Orihime was fast asleep next to him, resting her head on his thigh.
"But isn't it good like this? We're normal now," shrugged Hinamori
"Normal? But wouldn't normal include having parents around who ask how your day was?" said Hitsugaya
"Maybe, we're not that normal," muttered Rukia
"We have school tomorrow," said Chad breaking the silence
"Yeah. I saw our uniforms, they aren't bad. I heard we're going to be a separate class. We're place in this category called 'Special Students'," quoted Ichigo, "I bet they think we have some kind of emotional trauma."
"I do," joked Hinamori
"Didn't that kind of class come out in a manga?" asked Ikkaku
"Oh yeah it did! I'm reading about it right now," said Yumichika and showed Ikkaku the manga, who showed no interest
"If it doesn't have Chappy, then there's no use reading that manga," stated Rukia
"Chappy's not even famous," informed Ichigo and stretched his arms, ignoring Rukia's hurt face.
"Well I'm going to take a shower. I'm not even done unpacking half my boxes and I'm dead tired," said Renji
"There's only one more left of mine," claimed Hitsugaya and got up to go to his room
"Of course you'll only have one left," muttered Renji
"Stop sulking and go take a shower," ordered Rukia and gave him a good shove to the bathroom
"Women these days," whispered Renji to himself, "They aren't cute at all…"
Ichigo and Hitsugaya who heard that chuckled lightly, receiving a confused look from Rukia
"I'm gonna go buy some ice-cream, someone fix the aircon while I walk to the closest store," commanded Ikkaku and before anyone could say anything, he was out of the room.
"Jeez, that guy's always like that," grumbled Ishida and started fixing the aircon
"Yeah and you're always the guy who listens to him at the end," stated Yumichika
"Because I'm the only one who can do it!" shouted Ishida boiling with anger
"Now, now, stop being so hot-headed," said Ichigo and smiled
"Ew, what's with that smile. Just because you have a girlfriend," scoffed Yumichika
This time Ichigo snapped, waking Orihime up, "Stop being so jealous because you can't have a girlfriend!"
"What's going on?" mumbled Orihime as she rubbed her eyes
"N-nothing at all," stammered Ichigo and carried Orihime to her bedroom, "Just go to bed if you're that tired."
"Shiro-chan, can't you be a little bit more romantic like Kurosaki-kun?" complained Hinamori pointing at Ichigo and Orihime
"Stop whining like that Momo," sighed Hitsugaya and stood up, grabbing Hinamori, then dragging her to his room, "Is this romantic enough?"
"All you're doing is dragging me!" yelled Hinamori, but she let him drag her anyway. He brought her into his bedroom and let go of her hand.
"Can't you be a little more gentle?" complained Hinamori and rubbed her hand
"You asked. Help me unpack my last box," said Hitsugaya and opened the box.
"Oh what's this? A diary?" laughed Hinamori and took it out of the box
"I don't know, it was in my room so I just put it in," answered Hitsugaya and started unpacking his other things.
Hinamori couldn't stop her curiosity and opened it to find only one picture stuck inside the blank pages. It was the picture of Hinamori and Hitsugaya when they were the kids, the one where Hinamori wrote something on it.
She smiled and ripped it out of the notebook, she turned it around to look at the back of the picture. As she expected, she had wrote something on it.
One day, I'm going to grow old with Shiro-chan!
Hinamori must've let out a small laugh because Hitsugaya walked over to where she was and took the picture from her hands.
"This was the same one you had," said Hitsugaya and smiled as he looked at the message
"Yeah, it's the same one," nodded Hinamori, "You actually have quite a lot of things in this one box, it'll take awhile."
Hitsugaya nodded and they both started unpacking Hitsugaya's last box. As sometime passed, they only had a bit left.
"Was the box this big? I feel like this is taking us forever!" whined Hinamori and collapsed on the floor
"I don't think so," said Hitsugaya and sat down next to her, "Maybe you're too tired to think. It's only been 20 minutes you know."
"ONLY? I felt like it's been an hour," laughed Hinamori
"Come on, maybe Ikkaku's back with that ice-cream," said Hitsugaya and pulled Hinamori up
As they thought, Ikkaku was back with ice-cream and the aircon was fixed as well. Ikkaku was sprawled on the couch chewing all kinds of candies. Rukia ran off to the shower. Renji sat in front of the fan eating an ice-cream bar. Ishida was busy reading some kind of novel. Yumichika too was busy reading the latest fashion magazine for men. Then there's Chad who decided to cook something and was busy cutting things up in the kitchen.
"Man this is the life!" yelled Ikkaku as he shoved gummy worms into his mouth.
"I haven't felt this alive in awhile," said Renji as he shoved his face into the fan
"This novel is truly fascinating," mumbled Ishida and pushed his glasses up
"Stop being such a nerd," complained Ikkaku and threw some gummy worms at him
"Ikkaku, stop being so immature. There are actually people who enjoy reading and they don't lie around gaining fat," scolded Yumichika and gave a small wink to Ishida
"Don't put your stupid magazine to the same level as this amazing novel," muttered Ishida and looked away
"Oi, Hitsugaya! I was just thinking about some things and I realized that you're that guy who often comes on TV because of your company or something right?" asked Ikkaku as he noticed Hitsugaya take a seat on the couch
"Yeah, what about it?" asked Hitsugaya
"Well, didn't your company support Peachy? I really wanna meet her! She's really good looking man!" idolized Ikkaku
"Ah. She's right there," said Hitsugaya and pointed at Hinamori, who nervously laughed
"I was going to tell you guys as soon as I could, but I didn't really have the guts," explained Hinamori
Ikkaku ran up to her side and grabbed her hand, "Peachy, why don't you leave that stupid Prince of Ice and come to me. I'll be your savior!"
Ikkaku was instantly slapped from the back by Hitsugaya.
"Shut up Madarame, you're about to cross the line," glared Hitsugaya
"Ugh. Fine, jeez, were you always this cold? Plus didn't you just tell us that you were just going to date Hinamori then dump her after you show her to your parents?" shrugged Ikkaku, by then everyone had their ears open to what Hitsugaya would say
"Yeah that's what I said, but I guess things change," admitted Hitsugaya and brought Hinamori close to her, "In fact, I'm going to marry her. In a week."
Ishida dropped his novel, Yumichika stopped breathing, Renji's ice-cream fell from his mouth, Ikkaku stood there in shock, Hinamori didn't move as well, as for Chad, he walked in to find everyone in silence.
"What's going on?" he asked as he set the fried rice on the table
The silence was instantly cut when all of them yelled out, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE GOING TO MARRY HER THIS WEEK?!"
It's not exactly a cliff-hanger... i think. BUT PLEASE R&R! Chapter 28 is up anyway so you can see if he really meant that or not! LOVE YOU GUYS! XXXXXXXXX
