A/N: I'm really sorry for how long it has been taking me to update, I'm back at school and classes are tough, in addition to a new relationship forming. So I promise it isn't dead! I am planning much much more! I just need to find some time to write it.. .
Sighing softly as they went into Tenzin's office Korra looked at her mentor, and then at her former foe and pursed her lips together. She didn't know what either of them wanted since the announcement was final and she was starting to get tired. Amon had moved over to talk to a councilman, and they were surprisingly getting along fine. Tenzin moved over to stand next to her and as he settled at her side she looked up at him with confusion, "so what now..?"
Tenzin raised a brow at her and then shook his head, "That is for you to decide Korra, he is the father of your child. All I can do has been done."
Groaning inwardly Korra rubbed her head, "Do you mind if he comes for dinner?" She didn't know if he wanted his children near the man who formerly wanted to rid the world of bending. As she looked up at her teacher with concern he finally nodded.
"He can… He seems to be making a reform of sorts." Tenzin muttered as he moved over to where his mother stood in his office, wishing to consult with her before the dinner he just agreed to.
Korra sighed softly and moved over to Amon, sliding her hand up his arm she patted it gently as he bid farewell to the other councilman and she tilted her head as she heard pleasantries between them.
Turning to Korra a small smile cracked behind the mask as Korra had willingly touched him, and waited to talk to him. He raised a brow although it went unseen, "Yes Korra?" he asked softly as he looked at some of the other council members in the room.
Korra blushed softly and then looked to the floor as she heard his smooth voice, "Would you like to come to dinner at the air temple?"
His face turned to her more and although she couldn't see his expression is conveyed a type of happiness he hadn't known in a long time. "Of course Korra, I would love to. What time shall I arrive?"
Korra nodded and smiled weakly after muttering a time to him. She smiled before moving away excusing herself to go rest before dinner, as well as prepare herself for him in her home.
Korra went back to the island rather quickly, followed by Tenzin and his mother shortly. As she got back to the temple she begged Katara to allow her some activity and jumped in glee as Katara said she was allowed to go swimming and do some mild waterbending. A few hours passed as Korra swam in the ocean water with the airbending children. Meelo seemed fascinated by the fact that he could no longer see Korra's core muscles as Jinora and Ikki giggled at him. Korra rolled her eyes as she splashed them both. Diving under the water she swam over to where her best friend laid in the shallow water. Laying next to Naga she curled up against the soft wet fur. Naga nuzzled Korra gently, her head resting on Korra's chest as Korra pet her face. Sighing contently Korra closed her eyes as she enjoyed her afternoon. Hearing the airbending children laughing over in the water, the splashes and drops of water cascading through the air calming her. Hearing soft footsteps in her direction she opened her eyes and tilted her head upside-down to see Katara walking towards them.
Laughing softly at her grand children Katara bent the water around them so they would move closer to her, "Time to stop swimming and get ready for dinner, we don't want anyone getting sick."
Groans were heard from the three children as they all got out of the water and ran up to the temple. Katara raised her brow at Korra, "That include you Korra."
Grinning Korra rolled her eye and stood up, shaking her head the water fell off of her leaving her dry as she stepped onto the rocks, "Thanks for letting me swim Katara… I needed it."
Katara shrugged and shook her head, "No problem Korra, you can do mild exercise now, we just didn't want issues with the first couple weeks. I remember the crave for activity too when I was pregnant with Bumi."
Korra raised her brow and grinned at her, "really? You wanted to go out and run and all that too?"
Katara laughed and nodded as the two of them moved to go inside, "Of course Korra, It was just Aang and me, we weren't used to sitting around all the time."
Korra laughed and nodded as they finally moved into the temple, "Yea… I never thought of it like that."
Katara laughed softly as Korra moved up the stairs, grabbing some loose fit clothing Korra got dressed quickly and moved to go help Pema with dinner preparations, feeling better than she had in weeks.
As time passed Korra chopped at the veggies and put them in the bowl for Pema, she was responsible for the veggies as Pema chopped up fruit. The rice was almost ready as Pema handed Rohan over to Korra and started making stir-fry. Laughter was heard from the other room as Tenzin and Katara played with the older children. Korra looked down at Rohan and grimaced slightly. He was content in her arms but as time passed Korra rested him in the sling Pema had set her up with. Walking around Korra coo-ed at him and smiled when he giggled at her. She couldn't grasp that she was going to be holding her own child in her own arms in about 6 months. She was doing fine with Rohan but whenever he fussed she got overwhelmed.
Smiling at him she tried to push her worries away as she moved around the kitchen. Hearing a knock at the door she waved to Pema that she would answer it as the occupants of the other room didn't even hear the noise. Sliding open the door Korra inhaled sharply as she looked back at the masked face. His eyes looked down at her holding Rohan and amusement showed in his eyes, "I didn't know you had the baby already."
Korra shook her head and looked down at Rohan with a smile, "This is Rohan, Tenzin and Pema's newborn. Obviously I haven't had the child yet." She turned away and moved back to the kitchen as she rolled her eyes. Hearing a soft chuckle follow her as she stormed into the room. Pema raised her brow as she looked at Korra, shaking her head she shrugged and looked over her shoulder, the sounds of her stomach growling taking over as she smelled the food.
Laughter was heard even louder from the doorway as Amon watched her; he couldn't help but find her amusing as he watched her with a child and her passion for food. Silence took over in the other room and Korra looked over at him with a raised brow, "What?"
Amon shook his head as his laugher died down, "Nothing Korra.."
Rolling her eyes Korra picked up some of the finished food and moved to the dining room, "Come meet everyone else…" Unease showing on her face as she moved into the dining room.
