"Where's Len?" Dean asked.

"She's gone."

Dean POV

"What do you mean 'She's gone'?" I ask. "Like disappeared into thin air gone or kicked the bucket gone?"

"Neither. She started staring off into the distance and I just assumed she was hallucinating about a deer or something, but she took off running after whatever it was. I tried to keep up with her but she darted left and my body went right, then I just kinda… uh" Sam explained rubbing the back of his neck.

"You what, boy?" Bobby snaps.

"I, uh, I may have lost her," Sam whispers.

"I'm sorry there must be cotton in my ears. YOU WHAT!" Bobby yells at him. If I weren't so pissed I would have flinched.

"I lost her okay! She's fast"

"you lost a schizophrenic, bipolar, and just about every other disorder ridden girl out of your sight for two seconds, and you lost her! Sam, she could be dead for all we know. She was barely holding it together with three people supporting her; now, she is all by herself, probably freezing cold and in the woods. Oh, and let's not forget its," Bobby looks at his watch, "Only four o'clock. It's not like it's getting dark in a couple of hours or anything." He throws his hands up in exhaustion.

"Cas, will be able to find her and get her back." Sam looks at me. "Well? Aren't you gonna call him?"

"Why do I gotta be the one to call him?" I whine. Okay, probably not the thing that should be focusing on right now, but I was in the moment.

"I think he likes you," Sam smirks. I give him a confused look. "Um, like-like you Dean." Then it clicks. Oh, you cannot be serious. Uck!

"No. Sam just, stop. No." I point at him and give Bobby a scowl that wipes the smirk from his face. I look around the room, then close my eyes. "Um, Hail Castiel, who may or may not be full of grace, the Lord is obviously not with thee, blessed are thou not so get your feathery ass down here. Uh, Amen?"

"That is half blasphemous, Dean. Mary is probably not happy at the moment," Castiel says as he pops up right next to Sam's shoulder. Sam jumps about twelve feet in the air, so I get some satisfaction from that.

"Okay, no time for Sunday school, Cas. Lennox is missing," I say, focusing back on the task at hand.

"Who took her?"

"No one. Um, Chewbacca over there lost her," I say pointing at Sam. Cas flashes out of the room for a moment and then comes back with a tattered looking girl in his hand.

She looks around the room then shrinks to the floor crying. I rush up to Lennox and pull her into my lap and hush her.

"Hey, Lennox. Len, it's okay. You're safe now. Cas found you and brought you back to the house. It's okay," As I rub her head and she cries into my chest, I shoo everyone else out of the room with my free hand. "Look at me." she doesn't move except for the shaking that her sobs give her. "Lennox, please, look at me."

She slowly looks up and I can see her eyes are tear-stained and puffy. Oh, Len.

Lennox POV

One minute, I was sitting on a log and the next I was back in Bobby's house. I collapsed to the floor and shook with sobs. I felt a man pull me into his lap. When he spoke, I identified him as Dean and cuddled in. He cooed to me and let him comfort me.

"Lennox, please, look at me," he whispers. I slowly look up and his face is soft looking. "What happened?"

"I… I thought I saw my friend, Cara, the one who's missing" he nods. "And I just couldn't bear the thought of losing her again, so I ran off after her, but it was too late when I realized she wasn't, that uh, that she wasn't real," I choke out. He wipes my tears with his thumbs and looks me straight in the eyes.

"it's okay. It's over now" he whispers to me.

"It felt so real, Dean."

"I know, Lennox. I know"
