Disclaimer: I own Rose and Mason only. And this nonexistent plot that I catch a slight tendril of before it disappears just as quickly.
A/N: Review please. I really like reviews. They make me happy. Also, although Robin and Regina have not met in the show at the point in which this story starts, they are still together in Rose and Mason's time because I love that couple and I like the person it made Regina into. They're so cute together.
Chapter 19
Rose
Well, to be fair, she hadn't been called that for a long time. She had changed, in my time. She was lighter, happier, and softer. Robin Hood had really changed her.
But right now, she looked a little bit more like The Evil Queen than the Regina I knew. Something about her still seemed cruel and cold.
"Hi," I greeted her warmly nonetheless. I held out a hand for her. "I'm Rose."
"I'm Regina. It's a pleasure to meet you," She said, shaking my hand. "Where did you come from?"
"Down the road," I said. I smiled and then turned back around to Killian. His bright blue eyes were watching me carefully, sending shivers down my spine.
"Killian," I said seriously, folding my fingers through each other.
"Rose," He said, mirroring my tone. Bae's face shifted next to me, as if he couldn't tell that Killian was only joking and how immensely fond his voice was.
"You came here by a portal, right?" I asked. He nodded, his eyes wary, and I had to remind myself that this was not the Killian that trusted me and that I trusted. He still was wary about being truthful and forming connections with people.
Years as a pirate would do that to a person.
"Did you happen to come with anyone?" I asked him. He winced.
"There may have been someone who indeed came through the portal with me," He said evasively. I snapped my fingers at him.
"I need a name. Give me a name." I demanded. Killian stared in amusement at me and Bae snickered from the sidelines.
"Her name is Cora," Killian said. I heard my father's sharp intake of breath, not quite a gasp but certainly filled with shock, but it was overcome by the noise of Regina's intake of breath.
She may have been more of the Evil Queen than she usually was, but her response to her mother was exactly the same. She still paled and her face was instantly vulnerable, as if someone had flicked a switch inside of her. I understood where she was coming from.
If Cora really was in Storybrooke, we had a big problem on our hands.
