Chapter 8: Highness

August 17, 2018 (continued)-

We walked down the alley, making sure to stay close to each other. Ollivander's was located somewhere near the end of Diagon Alley. The shop looked worn out but also a hint of fantasy surrounded it. Mrs. Weasley led us into the shop and stopped at the counter in the middle of the room. She hit a bell on the table and immediately, an aged man popped out from under the table.

"Yes dear? What wands are you searching for today? Ooh, why I have a great amount of customers. Very nice to meet you, I'm Garriss Ollivander, the owner of this shop, for those who don't know." He smiled at all of us and as soon as he saw me, his face exclaimed in shock. "Why my dear lord! Missariene!" He walked out from the counter and kneeled to examine my face. After realizing it was me, he embraced me in a tight hug.

"Um, sir, do I know you?" I asked awkwardly.

"Oh no dear! You don't know me but I know you! Well actually, I didn't know you but I knew your parents." He said, choking back tears.

"My parents?! But how is that, they died years ago!" I asked, every word getting louder than the previous one.

"Why of course I knew them, I'm your grandfather!" He stated excitedly.

What? I looked at him dumbfounded. "Do you know about Aaroline?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly. 'Grandfather' looked taken aback but slowly nodded his head solemnly. Now this was one of the times in my life that I felt 'TICKED OFF'. I grabbed the guy's collar and pulled his face close to mine, glaring spears into him. I looked into his eyes and said in a controlled tone. "Where were you? Where were you when that bitch killed my parents? Where were you when I spent every minute of my life cursing my existence with the presence of that damned psychopath?! Huh? TELL ME! Why did you leave my parents to die and leave me alone in misery! TELL ME-" I felt a huge wave of pain in my head and my vision started blacking out. No… I couldn't speak or scream in pain. Please… Not now… In the background, I could hear everyone panicking.

"She passed out! Mr. Ollivander, what happened? Everyone calm down and let me see her." Mrs. Weasley?

"Miss. Rain?" Sorry Jo-Anne about that… Then nothing.

I appeared in a very familiar place. And I heard a way too familiar voice.

"Nice to see you again, dear."

My head jerked dangerously fast to the voice. "Aaroline." I glared. All my muscles tensed and were ready to attack her at any second. "What do you want now?"

"What? No, hello? I should teach you some manners!" Aaroline appeared in front of me with a knife at my throat.

"We both know you wouldn't do something as to kill me. Besides," I twisted Aaroline's hand, snatched the knife, swiftly went behind her, and clutched her throat with the knife. "I've changed."

"Well done! But there's one problem." Aaroline disappeared and the next thing I know, a sharp point is threatening to pierce me in the back. Aaroline whispered into my ear. "You forget, I overpower you here." Then Aaroline's presence disappeared. "So, you met that useless old man. Though I'm impressed he recognized you, considering he never met you before. You probably reminded him of his 'precious' son and my despicable sister. Sad isn't it." Aaroline said in mock pity.

"Shut up! Tell me, what do you want?" I asked menacingly.

"Humph, always pushy. I was just bored, thought I visit my dear niece's friends again."

"You wouldn't dare!" I threatened.

"Oh, but I would. By the way, I don't remember what made my niece hate me so much."

"It all started when you killed my parents! Just because of fear from a prophecy that the children of your sibling will be your doom!" I spat.

"Oh yes, and your stupid father had to act all hero and kill me with his last breath! Isn't it a good thing that I was able to attach my soul to you before I died? The only thing standing in my way is that protection enchantment on you. Which make your parents still a nuisance even after their death." She said sourly.

"Aaroline, you just can't accept the fact that you're still at a loss because of them, you can never win." I said with a smirk. Aaroline eye twitched. "I'm stronger now Aaroline, I can prevent you from possessing me. I'm not like I was 4 years ago."

"Want to bet?" Aaroline started to run towards me.

My head felt heavy and the pain banged against it in strong waves. Where am I?

"Oh, God, you're awake! Hey everyone, she's awake!" Fern shouted.

Moments later, an army of footsteps came rushing towards the room and slammed the door open. Many faces appeared from the doorway, The Weasley Family, Ginny and her children, Jo-Anne, Jeremy, Carie, Andrew, and Gobby. I smiled at them, and all of them gave relieved faces. Everyone started hovering around me with questions such as "how are you feeling?" or "are you alright?" or things such as "we were so worried about you".

"I'm sorry." I said as I noticed Garriss enter the room.

"Oh dear, there is no need to be sorry, I understand why you did what you did." Said Garriss. I gave him a smile, but I still felt guilty. "Now, lets drop this topic and look here. I brought all your wands in here." He said.

"What? But we haven't even chosen any wands yet." I said, clear confusion being expressed in my tone.

"No dear, you don't choose the wands, the wands choose you." He replied.

"Now, I'm really confused." I stated.

"19 years ago, it appeared that wands gained the intelligence in speech, scientific specialized wizards are still studying the cause till date. So, the wands say the name of their partners, and the partners have to accept them as their wands." He explained.

"Oh." Garriss started handing out boxes to everyone. The first to get a wand was Mionly; it was the color of violet mahogany with the carvings of roses on the thick handle. How very feminine. Ronnie got a burgundy wand that had seven different sized lines encircling it. Why a rainbow, is it supposed to be childish? Fern received a thin yellow one that had vines stretching to the tip of the wand. The handle consisted of 4 leaves that stretched long and curled outwards at the tips. Beautiful yet complicated. Andrew's wand was completely silver! It had a thick handle and one tiny sized ruby heart embalmed on it. It looks like a dagger but special, and reminds me of his identification item. When everyone stopped awing their wands, Garriss came up to me. "I've been longing for this moment for years, its custom-made by your parents. Hope you like it." He pulled out a blue wand that was simple with just a ruby at the tip.

"Don't you think that's a bit plain?" Fern asked eyeing my wand.

"Touché, but first let Missariene flick it." I looked at him questioningly. Then when I flicked the wand, it immediately started deforming in my hand. The once plain wand was now a scythe!

"Holy crap! It's a scythe, but I got to say, its frickin' awesome!" Fern exclaimed. The scythe was up to my chin in height and the color was different mixed blues. A small, thin mermaid made up the top of the scythe; its hair was the sharp blade that was in a shape of a wave. As if the mermaid were swimming. The handle of the scythe was feather, solid and firm but so intricate. The rest of the scythe was design less but at the bottom was a giant ruby. I looked closer at the blade of the scythe and noticed something that made me smile behind moist eyes. May we always be one.

"Giving a piece of jewelry containing a birthstone gem will bring the wearer with good luck and protection. It's why your wand has a ruby. Your parents wanted to protect you, which is also why the wand can become a scythe. You can use magic with the scythe as well because it can act like a staff. Beautiful isn't it?"

"Yes…" I said, dazed. Thank you mom and dad. Then a thought came to me. "What about the rest of the shopping?" I asked.

"We finished shopping awhile ago. Got your supplies as well." Said Gobby, pointing to a few stuff at a corner in the room. "And one more thing as well." Gobby went downstairs and came back after a minute. "Happy Birthday." Gobby had a pale grey round object that looked like a fossil.

"What the heck? You're gifting her a rock! That's just messed up." Said Fern.

"Its not a rock, it's a Antipodean Opaleye!" shouted Mr. Weasley.

"Which is?" continued Fern.

"A dragon egg!" shrieked Mr. Weasley.

"What?!" everyone shouted. Minus Gobby, Mrs. Weasley and me. I was excited enough to be speechless.

"They're considered to be one of the most beautiful dragons ever! Its my first time seeing one in real life." Said the overwhelmed Mr. Weasley.

"What will you name it?" asked Jo-Anne excitedly. I thought for a minute.

"Gobby, thank you for the present! I actually don't know what to name it." I admitted.

"Close your eyes and think, that always helps me out." Said Carie. I smiled at her and closed my eyes. In a flicker, I saw an image of a great white silver dragon in front of me. Overlooking the entire world by its beauty. I blinked a few times. "So, what did you think of?" urged Carie.

"Highness, Highness is the name."
