Stuck in Agents of SHIELD
Chloes POV
We found the theatre easily, going to auditions where lots of people we waiting outside. I texted Brett to get the others over here if they wanted a job. Half an hour later and we were the only ones left, the others came through the door. They sighed in before the registered was taken away
"So I'll go for the part of Leonardo, again" Clark said grinning at it. I knew he would get a kick out of it.
"I'll be Hero and Iain will be?"
"Claudio, I think, I'm not sure." He shrugged.
"I'll go for the role of Benedict."
"I don't know, I'm stuck between Beatrice and Margret," Ming said, "Margret hasn't got a lot of part and I want to be funny."
"I know, we both audition for both parts and see who they pick!" I suggested. It didn't seem to matter who I played. It was a job. She nodded, agreeing before the door opened and a person who was in charge came out.
One by one we fizzled out leaving me typically last. Then I got called in.
"Chloe Bennett."
"Hello." I greeted, entering the room which had a large space of a stage. Three people were seated in the seats in front of the stage. I saw the group seated not far behind.
"Which role are you going for?" one said.
"Well either Margret or Beatrice, like Ming." I answered nervously, casting her a glance.
"Okay, read out Margret's role first to Boris, He's the part of Don John." A rather small ratty man scuffed in. He looked quite hot though. He handed me a script. I found my lines and quickly did my best to memorise them before speaking aloud.
Everything seemed to rush by after that. It wasn't until I stepped off the stage that I came to. Then the others seemed to crowd before dragging ourselves out and onto the darkening streets. Whoa, time really flew.
"This is so great! They said they'll give us a call in the next few days to tell us if we've got a part!" Clark was saying.
"And if one of us doesn't?" I questioned still feeling pleased.
"Well then we'll invite the person whose didn't get in to the play and laugh and giggle and cackle" Clark said, his eyes sliding to Ming for the last part. She rolled her eyes.
"Well, not that this isn't fun but-"
"Oh lighten up, there's light in the sky people on the streets-"
"SHIELD on our asses." Iain added lightly. Then suddenly the street lamp went out. Then one by one the rest suddenly was dying.
"That's comforting." Elizabeth said as we looked about.
"Come one." I tugged them along and before we knew it, we were only a few streets away from the last location of the ARC. But as we passed the TV store, all the TVs on suddenly buzzed and died. I was probably the only one who noticed. I clipped my fingers and to my surprise they all light up, at its brightest, the lamps around us and the cars blearing loudly the hoking of the car horns too.
I screamed in surprise. The others jumped out their skins, Iain screaming too.
"It wasn't me!" I shouted running past them all and into the ARC. I stopped. Evrythig had changed.. the whole lay out and colouring had change from warm and comforting to sci-fi and blue.
"Guys…" I called and they all rushed in.
"Cool." Brett said, dashing off to see what his room was like.
"Whoa, it's like… weird." Clark said, pottering over to what looked like jelly in a tube and tabbing the glass.
"Great. ARC had changed its theme." I added.
I clapped then suddenly normal lights came on.
"Oh that's weird."
"Clap clap lights," Iain said, clapping and the lights went out. I sighed in relief. I wasn't going crazy.
"I'm going to have bath." Ming excused, cracking her back. "Backache." She disappeared. I went off to my room to see it looked relatively the same though lighting was different. After going through my night time ritual, I made my way to bed after giving everyone a good night. I found my laptop and began to tap around badly on it.
"Oh good! Internet!" I hadn't stuck around here long enough to figure that out. Well I had all night to play games and watch DVDS…..
I jumped awake by the piercing girlish scream from the direction of Ming's room. I jumped out of bed, tripping over the laptop cables and somehow managed to tie myself up in my blankets. I did mysbest to untangle myself, only to be ramed down by a heavy body.
"Shit, sorry." Brett said pulling me up and dashed off to the source of the scream. I threw the rest of the blanket off me and ran into Ming's room.
"Oh my god!" I shouted, bumping into Clark who was frozen by the door, mouth hanging open. Ming was in hystetics, standing my a wall that was a mirror, hand cover her face looking relatively normel except for the two large black feathered wing bursting from her back, right in between her shoulder blades. The edges even looked to be a silver metal.
"Cool!" I stated after a moment.
"Get them off! Get them off!" She demanded in a unusually high voice. Not a common sound.
I felt the toehrs try to push past to see the issue.
"I don't think they come off." Clark said, snapping back to this form of reality. He hurried over for a better look. With the shock wearing off I found myself very curious. I poked one and stepped away. they flapped back hitting Clark who stumbled backwards into the bath that was half full with water. I let out a chuckle. There was a pop and all the lights died. There were numerous groans
"Okay, That was you, Chloe." Brett said from where from the door way. There was the sound of shuffling before-
"Hey, that's my hair you're pulling!" Elizabeth hissed.
"Sorry." Iain apologised, there was an off and a thud. "Right in the berries!" He wheezed, as if he was winded.
"Sorry." Liz whispered.
"Everyone, just stay calm," Clark called the sounds of water evident as he tried to get out the tub without splashing anyone. "Keep your hands to yourself and stay where you are, we need to find a light switch."
"My skin feels weird."
"Do we really need the newsflash for when your body does something, Liz?" Brett said from the far right.
I felt something jab me in the thigh. "Hey, who hit me?" I said, wanting the lights on, then suddenly I was blinded by the sudden turnout of light. I covered my eyes.
"Oh my god!" Ming shouted I opened my eyes to see her pointing past me. I looked to see Elizabeth standing looking down at her hands that were covered in tiny diamonds, but it wasn't just her hands, it covered every inch of her skin. Though her clothes and hair were normal, her eyes were also like diamonds. It was…awesome. She looked freaked out.
"What's going on?" She hissed, turning her hands over.
"We got powers!" Iain declared.
"Out the bath room." Ming said, ushering us all out, her wings somehow helping. It made her look bigger. Clark dripped water all the way to the lounge, pulling off his jacket. I hadn't noticed he was fully dressed though now I guess he'd have to change.
We all stood unsure how to approach the elephant in the room.
"How's that work?" I asked, taking the chop and looking to Ming. She turned and looked to the things attached to her. She shrugged now calm.
"Why don't you explain happened?" Clark said, whipping his glasses on Brett's shoulder to dry them before putting them back on his face.
"I don't know, I got up as normal as I was before gone to the bathroom but the backache got worse, then I blacked out for an hour or so then I woke up then these were there. That's when I screamed and you lot came running in."
"I wonder if they disappear. Can you try and push them in or fold them for something." Liz asked. Turning a beam of light bouncing off her a diamonds and around the room, like a disco ball.
"Well from the past five minutes since the discovery, I have not tried." Ming replied, before concentrating intently. I washed as they shrunk before folding back to her body. She turned and looked to her back on a reflection. On her back now was two weird symbols.
"Cool, well at least you can still go out in public." I added, poking one of the marks, her shirt she was worn was ripped through so it no longer had a back to it. She flinched from it.
"Why don't we figure out what we can do, sit in different rooms and test ourselves out though Ming, don't jump off a building just yet- I don't think it's wise." Clark said, taking the last bit on for humour. It seemed to have worked because her famous smirk was on.
"You're so sparkly!" I joked, flicking Elizabeth's arm. It hurt so I didn't so it again.
"It's weird, I'll see if I can be normal."
"I'm getting food!" Iain called halfway there. That seemed to stir everyone to the kitchen, pushing shoving and the occasional sound of something breaking and people bickering which was me and Elizabeth trying to get the last of the tea bags. But Iain took us as a distraction and stole it. In the end I got myself coffee and ate his toast when he turned his head.
We all headed to spectate areas and I went to the holocomm and electronic. This would be a challenge, I didn't know how to use them much despite my character being brilliant using them. Oh I needed lessons. I cracked my knuckles and pulled out the holocomm manuals. This was going to be fun, for sure.
Okay, not really clear on the powers thing but there'll be more development. What u think? Plz comment,
Also could you read my other book, In the Mind of the Cavalry. I really need more reviews on that. You might like it, The summerys bad I know but it's really interesting. It's got Ming-Na Wen in it! Anyone who loves her can read it, see what you think.
Anyway, For the Play what type do you want it to be? To be from the actual play so it'll have all those odd words or it well be spoken from the 21st century speech?
Also who should Play Beatrice? Ming-Na or Chloe? This is the question that needs to be answered and soon because for me to start the next chapter I need the answer. Plz. The highest one will be crowned Beatrice.
