"Skye, are you finished?" I jumped and turned to glare at the person interrupting.
It was Ward wearing his new face. It had been a good idea to wear the faces over the past few days. Made what Simmons said true and we could recognise each other.
"Almost." I answered my voice changing to a slightly to the fake one. I quickly stuck my contacts in and brushed my wig through before exiting the bunk. The others hurried into the command centre, Coulson was fiddling with his jacket, it was weird to see normal clothes on him though it did match his face.
May was in a black dress, sleek and showed off her figure but wasn't too obnoxious nor did it stand out much. Her wig was very long, reaching the middle of her back; the front was pulled back into a plat.
Simmons was turning her mask on, her new face settling over her old. Her attire was different, short skirt, high boots, cleavage showing from a V cut shirt and a leather jacket, May obviously leant to her. Her hair was pulled into a pony trail with fake blue stripes put in. To say it was weird. Again.
"Looking good people." I grinned, nodding to simmons. Her face flushed.
"I hate short skirts." She grumbled.
"Please, you should see Fitz." A grin made it onto her face. "It took ages but we managed to put a little make up on him."
"Bugger off!" My head turned to see Fitz dressed in black, his hands covering his face. "I look hideous, there's no way I'm goin' out looking like I've been vomited up by a demonic witch."
"It's not that bad, Fitz." Simmons chuckled. "You don't look like you're self at all so they won't know if it's you if you bump into them."
"My accent will give it away."
"Then pretend you're a mute if it bothers you so much." I stated, folding my arms. I was starting to enjoy myself now.
"We'll we've all got the ear pieces, they look like hearing aids."
"Guys, the show is in an hour. We need to get going. Who are we going with?" I reminded, glancing to the clock.
"Fitz and Simmons will be going, posing as boyfriend and girlfriend in the Left block in the middle rows. Skye, you'll be with May in the middle block, quite close to the stage front and a few seats away from the catwalk part of the stage, Skye, You'll be May's niece on her birthday so act excited. And Me and Ward will be in the right block also near to the stage. But we'll sit away from each other."
"Sounds good." May agreed.
"So I'll be 24 again, cool." I chuckled, taking the ID from the holocomm.
Everyone took theirs and we all headed away. Coulson jumped into the back of Lola with Fitz-Simmons who'd drop them off a few block from the theatre and park. Making their arrival delayed. Me and May went in front much to Ward's annoyance but I called shot gun also we needed to retain the cover so ward would have to jump out before we got there.
Ward jumped out shortly before we were almost there. May pulled into the parking space and jumped out. I followed suit.
"Remember, It's your birthday. This trip is your present." May reminded as we neared the entrance. Simmons hand in hand with Fitz was already walking through the doors, handing their tickets in before disappearing into the theatre. I brought up many thoughts to help get excited. It wasn;t hard.
I had been getting excited to be seeing my double for the past few days as it was ticking closer. To see her in person! What power she might have! I felt a smile rise on my face. Man, I was so pumped now.
"Tone it down, Skye, We're going to the theatre for your birthday not Disneyland." May said before putting on an out of character smile and gracefully headed towards the doors. I Laughed and hurried after her.
"This looks like an occasion for something." The woman at the booth chucked, seeing my grin.
"It's my birthday. My aunt wanted to take me out so I chose this." I grinned.
"Well, have a good time, You know where your seats are?"
"Yes. Thank you." May smiled then led the way into the theatre, her smile dropping immediately.
"Keep smiling, we're going into a theatre, not a torcher chamber." I muttered. May rolled her eyes. We found out seats which looked to be good. I was going to have so much fun now. Now I really wished it was my birthday.
Chloes POV
An air of nervous excitement was flurrying though the whole of the back stage.
"Good luck." I whispered to Lil, hugging her excitedly.
"You too." She laughed. "So, can you see any of the team?" I peeked through the side, but I couldn't pick out a face I recognised. Thought here were two people in the front that had an ounce of familiarity to them. They looked similar, The woman seemed to have the cold like exterior May had whole the girl was grinning like it was Christmas.
"They could be in disguise. I see two in the front. Could be May and Skye or May and Simmons."
"I'm betting Skye." Lil stated.
"Same."
The crowds were quite large and not all the seats were full yet. I could feel myself getting even more nervous. It was just like the Auditions for playing Skye all over again only this time it could end in whole crowd humiliation.
"Chloe, calm. You're going to blow the lights." I jumped a little. Ming appearing behind me.
"Sorry," I hadn't noticed the lights flicker.
"You'll be fine, Remember, I saw you at the auditions. You'll do fine."
"Until I fall off the stage."
"No, I fall off the stage."
I chuckled. That was true. Ming-Beatrice -had to trip off the stage into the arms of a couple of stunt people to stop her from hurting herself to add to the humour. It was hilarious to see in rehearsals because she'd burst out laughing or into a fit of giggles.
"Girls, in your places, Men into the rafters." The director hissed, hurrying into the stage area. The start would be the girls lounging around in a costume, Hercules inspired and the Men would jump down on wires like spies.
Everyone dashed into spaces. Taking a deep breath, I grabbed my Goblet Prop and stood with one girl and Lil. May was lying on the floor with a sci-fi magazine.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and girls and any in-between. The recreation of Shakespeare's play, Much ado about nothing Bought to you by us." The crowd cheered from the other side of the curtain.
"Now calm a bit. I know you're exited but they're very nervous. They're like hens in a wolf house. We have two camera's A, B and C pointed to the stage. They'll all be rolling and the TV above show us what they're seeing, for people at the back. I must say now, the only time we will stop or pause the play are in emergencies and breaks. The light on the left wall will indicate that by flashing red and the curtains will close." There was a few seconds pause of buzzing silence.
"Now let's get this show on the road!" I took a deep breath as the curtains began to move.
