Skyes POV
I watched in excitement as the curtains away, darting a second look to find the doubles. Mine was talking with a few girls, Simmons's one with them. May's one was lying on the floor, reading a magazine but from the attire they all wore, it looked out of place. I had the sense it was supposed to. I had to admit it was weird to see May in a different attire to her usual leather vested outfit.
"Sit back." hissed May quietly.
I settled back. Double May was Beatrice. Simmons looked to be the part of Hero and mine was Margret. I flicked through to the cast list on my program to see I was correct. Memorising the names of who played who. This would be interesting. Especially I knew that Beatrice and Benedict would end up together, I couldn't see May or Ward be touchy or feely towards each other. Though I knew they had very personal sleeping habit with each other though I knew Ward wasn't as good as it hiding as May was.
***((AN/Okay, I'm really sorry but I can't seem to put the play bit into the story, I have no muse for it so(that's why it's taking so long). Things would be better after the play stuff happens)))*********
Through the play I really got into it. I never knew how May could smile, though I knew it wasn't technically wasn't May but it was fun to watch though I could feel May herself was fluming slightly. There was the classical sitcom style of stuff running through it, like Ward's double ending up with paint smeared all over him (though only after over hearing Coulson's, Fitz's double and some other actor's characters), or May's double getting locked in a basket or both doubles sneaking about.
At one point, I knew wasn't part of the scripts, May's double seemed to accidently brake the door off the fake frame when she pushed it open, the door handle mangled. They played it off well though I couldn't miss the slight worried look in May's double eyes, in fact all the doubles had a shadow of the look in them. I added a note to my list, May's double was very strong. Unnaturally strong.
"Focus Skye," May had to whisper a few times to me. I ignored her on the third time.
One of the heart breaking thing was to watch as Fitz double as Claudio scream and shout about Hero before storming off stage. The double was actually a very good actor, I almost believed he was actually that pissed off.
I actually jumped when May put a hand on my arm.
"What, I was getting into it." I hissed.
"You're not supposed to." May hissed back.
"Lighten up, It's my birthday." I answered back earning a few shushed from the people around us. Grinning triumphantly I set back.
"She has a point, Skye." Coulson called through. My eyes darted to his place, his unfamiliar face with his finger to his hearing aid comm.
I huffed but watched as our doubles continued.
"I have to say, that went well." Fitz called as everyone soon began to clear away, rubbish still left about. The play over
"See when May's double broke the door." Simmons said excitedly form her comm.
"I don't think anyone missed it." May said impatiently.
"They smooth the whole thing over very well, must be good at Improvisation, espionage at their acting." Ward commented.
"They have powers. May's must have increased strength if she did that by accident, probably at her minimal."
"I'd hate to get punched." I added. "Should we stick around?"
"Agent May and myself and Agent Ward will, got back to the bus." Coulson said, appearing. May nodded, her hands seemed to be headed towards her wig. I understood that, it itched but she could deal with it for now.
"About their powers? May's double could crush your necks if you get into a fight. Something tells me it doesn't stop there for her."
"She has those strange symbols in the middle of her back, I bet that has something to do with it as well." Simmons put in, taking a different route with Fitz out. I headed down the stair well as May carried on towards Coulson and Ward.
"You can search them on the bus."
"how are you getting back?" I asked.
"We'll find a way. For now, radio silence."
The line abruptly ended from their comms. I could hear Fitz's sound of annoyance.
I sighed.
Of course they'd get all the fun. First group of super powered look alikes and we had to say on the bus? It didn't sound fair though I wasn't capable of fighting someone who could teleport away or super strength.
Spotting FitzSimmons, I headed out with them towards the SUV.
"Well I have to say, My double really can pull things I couldn't." Fitz announced, "I'm a little jealous."
"I doubt he could put together a computer or a night-night gun like you can." Simmons soothed, "If my double can act then lying wouldn't be too difficult."
"Maybe if you two meet and become friends then maybe she could give you tips." I chuckled, jumping ointo the SUV, the other two getting in behind me.
"Do you think they'd like us? I mean, I think it's a little creepy because they look just like us." Simmons asked.
"Except for May's double, her eyes are purple, didn't she have red stripes in her hair before?" Fitz answered, almost poking himself in the eye.
"Probably a wash out or something, or she was getting purple to begin with, red and blue do make purple."
"I know the colour wheel, Simmons." Fitz argued.
"Cut it out you two. It has to be wash in out colours since Ward's double had blue and Yours, Simmons, had yellow, mine red. They don't have that anymore."
They settled back, looking a little flustered. I pulle doff my wig and threw it next to me and began to take off my disguise as I went.
I know, ages and not that long. So So SOOOOOO Sorry for the long wait. I've had default with the play stuff and how it should set out before this was the only working way.
But if people give possible suggestions and love for my next chapter then I should be updating quicker since I have one less block to worry about. Don't hesitate to share you options but I will say this that there won't be romance between the actors. I'm really sorry but I can't ship them out of Character. Close friends-family yes but not couples. If I've missed something out in this chapter then tell me then I can correct something
